Oriental Cinnamon & Fawn

Oriental Cinnamon

ORIENTAL CINNAMON

This cat is a typical Oriental with a long, slender, muscular body with long slim legs and dainty feet balanced by a long whip tail.

The coat is short, fine and close lying, the colour of warm cinnamon brown – often described as the colour of a freshly peeled conker or polished copper.

Eyes are green – emerald is the desired colour.

They are elegant cats with great intelligence and plenty of love to give.

Their personality is loud, bold, and inquisitive. They love to play interactive games and will learn to “fetch” and jump. Lots of toys and attention are required to keep them amused. A live TV is good when you are not there. Should you be out at work all day it’s best if they have a friend to play with. Another Oriental or a Siamese would be the perfect choice.

They do not need a fancy diet and a varied diet of fresh cooked meat, fish and poultry, dry food, tins/pouches is the best way to maintain good health.

Grooming is minimal. Keep eyes and ears clean and simply stroke your cat daily from the top of the head to the tip of the tail.

The cinnamon colour is also available in tortie and all varieties of tabby patterns as well as Siamese (with blue eyes). They all have the same qualities.

Should you decide to be owned by any one of these beauties please make sure you have lots of time for lap cuddles, patience, and a sense of humour. These are very lively cats indeed but they will reward you with a dog-like devotion and a great deal of fun.

ORIENTAL FAWN

The Oriental Fawn is the dilute version of the Oriental Cinnamon. Only the colour is different. The coat is a warm rosy mushroom – the pinker the better. In bright sunshine the cat is distinctly pink and sometimes likened to the colour of candyfloss. The green eyes are an excellent contrast.

Again, the fawn colouring can be found in tortie, and all varieties of tabby as well as Siamese (with blue eyes). They all have the same qualities although some breeders and owners say the Oriental Fawn is not quite as noisy and demanding as the Oriental Cinnamon.
