Meeting of the GCCF Disciplinary Committee
9th June 2010
The Investigation Committee preferred a formal complaint against
Miss N Lelliott of 20 Finches Close, Littlehampton, West Sussex
BN17 7GU, Prefix: Nashkyda, that:
Miss N Lelliott is in breach of Articles 12(1)(b) and/or 12(1)(d)
of the GCCF Constitution in that:-
On 15th August 2009 Miss Lelliott sold an eight week old lilac
cream British Shorthair unregistered female kitten NASHKYDA SATWA
QUEEN (pet name KITO) date of birth 18 June 2009, which she knew
or should have known was unfit for sale. On the following day,
16th August, KITO was admitted to Great Western Referrals in a
listless state with diarrhoea. She had agonal breathing on arrival,
was severely dehydrated and had a weak pulse. She received treatment
but did not improve and was euthanized the following morning.
The vaccination certificate provided by Miss Lelliott shows that
KITO had received a single vaccination two days before she was
sold.
And/or
On 15th August 2009 Miss Lelliott sold an eight week old blue
cream British Shorthair unregistered female kitten NASHKYDA NIGHTIME
(Pet name KANZI) date of birth 18 June 2009, which she knew or
should have known was unfit for sale. On 18th August KANZI was
seen by Archway Veterinary Surgery and was found to have a thin
body condition, with pot-bellied appearance, ocular discharge,
sneezing and inflammation of the conjunctiva. It was noted by
the Veterinary Surgeon that the kitten was very underweight for
its age.
By these actions Miss Lelliott acted in a way that was or may
have been disreputable or prejudicial to the welfare of the kittens
and/or the interest of the cat owner and/or the breeding of cats
and/or the interest of the GCCF.
The Disciplinary Committee found the complaint against Miss Lelliott
proved and ordered that she be suspended for a period of 1 year
within the meaning of Article 12 (4)(b)(i).
The Disciplinary Committee ordered that Miss Lelliott be fined
an amount of £500, such fine to be paid within twenty eight
days.
The Disciplinary Committee directed that Miss Lelliott pay costs
of £500.

The Investigation Committee preferred a formal complaint against
Mrs J Stanley of Heatherdale Farm, Chipnal Lees, Cheswardine,
Market Drayton TF9 2SH, Prefix: Tegwel, that:
Mrs J Stanley is in breach of Article 12(1)(a) and/or 12(1)(b)
(paragraph 1) and/or 12(1)(d) of the GCCF Constitution in that:-
1 the condition of her cats and/or the conditions in which they
are kept are at a level which is, or may be, discreditable and/or
prejudicial to the welfare of cats and/or the interests of cat
owners and/or the breeding of cats and/or the interests of the
GCCF
and/or
2 on 12th July 2009 she sold a female Birman kitten, TEGWEL LEGACY,
to Mrs Sue Attley which she knew, or should have known, was unfit
for sale as she was only seven and a half weeks old, unvaccinated
and weighed 465gm. She was still feeding from her mother. She
had a bilateral mucopurulent ocular discharge and diarrhoea. By
this action the Mrs Stanley acted in a way that was, or may have
been, discreditable and/or prejudicial to the welfare of the kitten
and/or the interests of cat owners and/or the breeding of cats
and/or the interests of the GCCF.
The Disciplinary Committee found the complaint against Mrs Stanley
proved ordered that she be suspended for a period of 2 years within
the meaning of Article 12 (4)(b)(i).
The Disciplinary Committee ordered that Mrs Stanley be fined
an amount of £300, such fine to be paid within twenty eight
days.
The Disciplinary Committee directed that Mrs Stanley pay costs
of £300.
