Paula Lloyd
It is with great sadness that I report the death of Paula Lloyd on Friday 4th November from Motor Neurone Disease. Paula was not only Joint Show Manager with me for Midland Counties Cat Club for several years and an active committee member, but also a very dear personal friend. She had been diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease early in 2011 and the prognosis was that she had anything between 1 and 5 years to live, sadly that was not to be and Paula died peacefully on Friday in a local Hospice, as was her wish.
My lasting memory will now be the last time I saw Paula and we sat in her garden in the sunshine, she was wheelchair bound and was losing her speech but it was a “good” day and she was able to tell me of the plans she had made with and for Ken and Cathy. As always, Paula was well organized and in control. She hadn’t lost her sense of humour and reprimanded me for being 25 minutes late for my wedding.
My thoughts go out to her husband Ken and her daughter Cathy.
