Mrs M Smith

What a superb show this was: I really was impressed. Anna and her merry band were brilliant. It was their first Championship Show and the competition was first class but there was all the fun of an Exemption Show. The attention to detail was superb and, for example, we all had a hand made button hole in the Club colours. There were 70 exhibits: the exhibitors are so loyal to the Club. So well done to all concerned! I would also like to thank Kassandra Warwick who hasn’t done a lot of stewarding but handled the cats very well and was good company.

IMP GRAND W/H  TURNER-RUSSELL’S GR CH WELLBRAND HAYMAKER (72 43cq) Compact lad but quite small and lacking muscle on flanks and legs.  He has strong limbs and nice paws. Correct length and shape tail to balance. Medium, well set ears and a gently rounded top of head. His head is too small for a male. Short wedge and a strong muzzle though a little narrow.  In profile, showing a distinct nose break and a firm chin. Clear M on forehead, good colour up the hocks and down the spine line, very clear tabby rings on tail and nice shading. Short, close coat and very well presented. I was sorry to withhold but he was not quite up to Imperial standard today.

IMP GRAND FEMALE

IMP GR PILKINTON’S GR CH GARES OYSTERCATCHER (72 45q) Lovely sized female with a super feel to her muscular body, very elegant limbs and dainty, oval paws. Correct length and shape tail to balance. Medium, well set ears and a gently rounded top of head. Lovely wedge and a strong jaw.  In profile, showing a distinct break but nose has a bump; a firm, deep chin. Beautiful ticking, clear M on forehead, good lines on back and nice pencilling with deeper colour up the hocks and tail tip. Short, close coat in excellent condition. Very expressive eyes. Super girl who has great presence and was a pleasure to handle.

RES IMP ROBINSON’S GR CH KARESAMA SILVER SEASHDOW (72 43sq) Quite a compact girl with a nice feel to her muscular body; strong, yet elegant limbs and dainty, oval paws. Correct length and shape tail to balance. Medium, well set ears and a gently rounded top of head. Short wedge and a strong jaw; in profile, showing a distinct nose break and a firm, deep chin. An even distribution of colours showing a clear M on forehead, a denser colour up the hocks and tail tip and distinct shading. Short, close coat in excellent condition. She has a super expression. Very sweet girl. Two very worthy cats in this competition.

A.C ASIAN TABBY NEUTER MALE

1st PR & BOB DAVIES’ CH MALBRANT XAVIER (72 45q) Nice compact lad, feeling firm and muscular with strong limbs and oval paws. Tail only just balances and it tapers slightly. Large, well set ears and a gently rounded top of head. Correct wedge and a strong jaw; in profile, showing a distinct nose break and a firm, deep chin. Even colour, showing a clear M on forehead, tail tip and hocks a denser colour and beautiful ticking. Short, coat which was a little coarse but in excellent condition. Large, expressive eyes. What a little charmer with a sweet temperament.

2nd BELANGER’S RUXHILL NAUGHTY-BUT-NICE (72 45q) Nice sized lad with a muscular body, strong limbs and oval paws. Correct length and shape tail to balance. Large, well set ears and a gently rounded top of head. Correct wedge and a strong jaw; in profile, showing a distinct break and a deep chin but nose has quite a large bump. Very nice ticking with denser colour on hocks, tail tip and spine line and a clear M on forehead. Beautiful, short, close coat in excellent condition. Very expressive eyes. Nice lad who was a pleasure to judge.

ASIAN TABBY NEUTER FEMALE

1st PR TIBBOTTS GR PR KENNBURY SEA FAIRIE (72 45 eq)  Lovely, compact girl with a super feel to her muscular body and strong, yet elegant limbs and dainty, oval paws. Tail balances and a good shape. Medium, well set ears and a gently rounded top of head. Short wedge and a strong jaw; in profile, showing a distinct nose break and a firm chin. Nicely mingled colours showing a clear M on forehead, good colour up the hocks and tail tip and lovely, clear ticking.  Her coat is a little long (between coats) but in lovely condition and well presented. Very expressive eyes. Nice girl who was enjoying her day.

A C TIFFANIE NEUTER MALE

1st PR STEVENS’ TIFFKINS DANDYDANDELION (68 dq)  Good weight to this young man and a strong, muscular feel to his body; limbs a little heavy but nice oval paws. Correct length and shape tail to balance. Well set ears and a gently rounded top of head. Correct wedge and a strong jaw; super in profile, showing a distinct nose break and a firm, deep chin. Even distribution of colours showing a clear M on forehead.  A soft, silky coat feeling dense but lying close; good ruff, ear tufts and a plume on tail. Very expressive eyes. Nice lad.

A C TIFFANIE NEUTER FEMALE

1st PR & BOB HINKS’ ASHPUTTEL YUMYUMKI (68 43 ds) What a nice size this girl is  Feeling firm and muscular with limbs strong but not too heavy and dainty, oval paws. Correct length and shape tail to balance. Medium, well set ears and a gently rounded top of head. Super wedge and a strong jaw; in profile, showing a distinct nose break and a deep, firm chin.  Definite ruff, good tail plume and ear streamers, Tortie colours a little unclear; beautiful, soft, silky coat in excellent condition. Lovely expressive eyes. Very nice girl.

2nd HINKS’ INYANGA TIFFKINS MIA (68aq) Compact girl feeling strong and muscular with strong limbs and dainty, oval paws. Correct length and shape tail to balance but she has a very definite defect at the end (I wondered if she had, had an accident). Medium, well set ears and a gently rounded top of head; in profile, showing a distinct nose break and a firm chin. An even distribution of colours.  I would like to see a finer fur with a softer, silky feel to it. She lacks a ruff and tail plume though she is still quite young and possibly her coat is coming in though she was beautifully presented. Quite a nice expression.

AV BREEDERS NEUTER

1st SKETCH’S GR PR HURTLEPUSS KIPLING 72 What a big lad!  Very strong and muscular but he is just a bit overweight which makes his tail, which is a good shape, appear too short. Strong limbs and spoon shaped paws. Medium, well set ears and a gently rounded top of head. Correct wedge and a strong jaw; in profile, showing a distinct nose and a deep, firm chin. Beautiful, rich, sound Black colour and a short, close coat in superb condition. Lovely expression.

2nd WAIN & BROWN’S STRIPEYCATS CHUHA 72a Compact body with a nice feel; strong limbs and spoon shaped paws. Correct length and shape tail to balance. Large, well set ears and a gently rounded top of head. Rather a long wedge but a strong jaw, though his muzzle is rather pinched.  In profile, showing a distinct nose break and a firm chin. Really nice to see a lovely coloured Blue Self but coat a little open though well presented. Fair eye set and shape.
