Mr G Martin

Many thanks to Helen, Sean, Sue and their excellent team for making the day run so smoothly. I worked with John Blore for the first time. I hope he enjoyed his day as much as I did; we were privileged to handle some outstanding exhibits.
AC PERSIAN GRAND CHAMPION (Imp Gr Ch) MALE. IMP TONKS' GRCH ZENDIQUE U'VEBEEN TANGOED. Last Sunday this most handsome Red Tabby and White Exotic boy celebrated his second birthday. Having perfection in the first class in one's judge's book just sets the tone for the rest of the day. My records show I have handled him before, but I can't remember him looking as good and as perfectly formed to the SOP as he did today - he just shone. I could elaborate but I won't as my judge's book has just five works against his name, "has it all for me."
RIMP HOWARDS' GRCH BIGWIG IN THERED. Very handsome Red and White Bicolour boy who will be four years old in June. He is a big gentle boy with a wonderful rounded head balance with very bold clear eyes that show the best of deepest orange. His cobby low body was covered with a med length coat that needed a little more work put into it to make him really shine - having said that I did talk to his mum after judging who tells me he has "one of those coats" which we have all come across in life, plus he is a working boy.
AC PERSIAN GRAND CHAMPION (Imp Gr Ch) FEMALE. 1 (Imp Not Awarded) PRIESTLEYS' GRCH SHIMBA NIGHTONTHETILES. In the middle of next month this Black lady will be four years old. She has a lovely round head balance with short broad open type and a medium length low body shape covered with a coat that was well passed its best, which I would guess comes into its own later in the year.
2nd (ResImp Not Awarded) WALLS' GRCH SHEERBLISS ARABELLA. At not quite fifteen months old, this beautiful Tortie and White Exotic has an impressive title for her young age. She still has many months of development time left to her and, today, all I can say is she is going through a late teenage stage. Her coat (which has the most vibrant colours) was sparse and lifeless with her ears pricked and muzzle somewhat pinched. When she is over this period I would expect her to add much more to her name.
N.B. Since writing the above critique, I have found out why this gentle girl may not have been feeling on par - I am assured that she is well on the mend and all my good wishes go to her for the future.
BICOLOURED (Inc Odd-Eyed and Blue-Eyed) ADULT MALE. 1CC POTTERS' CH. PRIMISSION BEGUILED. Having celebrated his third birthday in early March, this handsome Cream and White boy was in full coat today with every hair having had attention. He has the most appealing Persian looks with a head balance that would be hard to equal. His full wide tail was in correct proportion to his body.
BOB DAYS' CH. DAYZEE JUSTINTYME.
BICOLOURED (Inc Odd-Eyed and Blue-Eyed) ADULT FEMALE. 1CC CARTERS' SACHABREEN DANCING QUEEN. Very pretty Red and White Bicolour girl who will be a year old in ten days time. She has used her time well with little to improve on in head or body balance. Her bold eyes are showing a deep shade and speak volumes. Cobby heavy body with her red a lovely shade and white shimmering.
2nd NELSONS' ADNIOLO MARMELSTEINSASKIA. Not yet a year old until the middle of July, this Red and White girl has many months of development time left to her. Today she was very immature needing to work on bringing her ears down and closing at base, which was the main reason that put her head out of balance. She already has lovely short broad Persian type with bold excellent eye pigmentation. Medium length body covered with a medium length coat that was well prepared.
AOC NON EXOTIC ADULT MALE. 1CC BOB HANNINGTON & HARDIES' CH. SHEERBLISS NEVADA. Red Shaded Silver and White Exotic boy who in late September will be three years old. For me, he has nothing to improve on as he has the very best of exotics' head balance with the cobbiest of heavy low body shapes covered with a full of life plush coat that had seen every hair separated from its neighbour. He had a lot to say for himself today - and why not.
WHITE (Orange-Eyed) NEUTER. 1PR BOB NICHOLLS' CH & PR FLEUIELLE WHITE SUGAR. Very handsome boy who is very close to two and a half years of age. In all respects he ticks all the boxes for me, but I have to say if he was up against any real competition, he would have lost out on his grooming underneath with his top coat not flowing as it should with slight staining under eyes. None of these problems were his fault.
TORTOISESHELL NEUTER. 1 (PR & BOB Not Awarded) STALLINGS' PICTUREBOOK TEMPTRESS. Coming up to six years old in midsummer, this very pretty Tortie girl sadly has a few problems to overcome. Her very Persian body is covered with a massive coat that is, unfortunately, not showing sufficient red to break up her very black coat, only showing some red to her face and lower back. I was also concerned that her top right hand canine is well out of position and, given her age, this now will not correct itself. She was a delight to handle and was clearly enjoying her day out, but I don't believe that she is destined for great things on the show bench.
