Many thanks to Judith Armstrong who multi-tasked on show day and came to handle some cats for me. She volunteered for the best of reasons - to cuddle cats…. what more can anyone ask for? I hope you enjoyed it, Judith, and I think the cats did. Thanks for your time and company.

A lovely cat with real presence and poise, and in excellent condition. He has a super glossy coat, well prepared, with lovely contrast between the areas of colour and clean white - with an attractive blaze, and white on chin and chest, as well as on legs and paws. Expressive gold eyes. Well shown.

MALE 14 WKS - 6 MNTHS
1ST - CURTIS' CURTILLA GREY MIRAGE
06/06/11 As soon as one looks at this kitten the quality is obvious and he really has the typical Russian look. The ear set is impressive - they are large and pointed and are set vertically to his head. His eyes are almond in shape, set fairly wide apart, and there is good evidence of green around the pupils, fading to the outer edge at this stage. His top of head is still slightly rounded as yet but he has a good wedge with a short distance from eyes to nose, and just slightly longer from eyes to ears. Good profile with angle developing. His whisker pads are developing nicely and he has a level bite and firm chin. He has an elegant body of good proportions for his age, with long tapering tail and long legs with neat oval paws. Short fine coat has a good feel to it - there is a density present already, as well as the silvery sheen to the medium even blue shade. He is a real character and already has a super show temperament. Definitely got the oomph and I am glad he did so well, he deserved to!
MALE 6-9 MNTHS
1ST - WILLIAMS-ELLISS' SERENNOL JASHA
30/03/11 Well grown and elegant kitten. He is of good weight and muscle tone with long legs and oval paws. Tail is of good length to balance and has a tapering tip. He still has a slightly rounded skull between ears which are large and fairly vertical in set. Good distances from ears to eyes and eyes to nose, when viewed in profile - the angle is still developing and he has a slight bump in profile above his nose. Eyes are almond in shape, just a fraction straight in set - the green is still deepening. Whisker pads are developing well. Level bite, chin just steps back a little. Good dense double feel to his coat, which is of medium blue with a silvery sheen.
2ND - PRITCHARD'S KREMLINKATZ KOSCHKA KRILL
16/02/11 Well grown elegant kitten with good balance to legs and paws and a long tapered tail. Correct distances to his wedge and he has a flat top between ears which are large and of good shape. He was definitely able to put them up vertically because I saw him do it but he tended to flare them outwards very slightly so lost the classic look somewhat. Almond shaped eyes are of a good shade of green, and are set fairly wide apart. Acceptable bite, whisker pads developing, chin is a little weak at this stage. His coat is a fraction long but is developing a good feel and density to it. The medium blue just has a band of darker shading below the surface but there is some evidence of a silvery sheen developing at the surface. He has a few ghost rings on his tail.
FEMALE 14 WKS - 6 MNTHS
1ST - WILLIAMS-ELLISS' SERENNOL TANYA
12/05/11 A neat elegant female of correct weight for her size, and some good muscle tone evident. She has long legs and oval paws in good proportions and a long tapered tail. Medium wedge with fairly equal distance from ears to eyes and eyes to nose, with quite a flat top giving a good angle. Ears are large and pointed and she holds them well, vertically to her head. The almond shaped eyes are still developing depth but the green is already there. Whisker pads are developing well. Level bite and fairly firm chin. The coat is short and fine with a double feel. The blue is even and medium in shade with a silvery sheen developing. Sweet temperament.
2ND CURTIS' CURTILLA BLUE LUNA ECLIPSE
06/06/11 Litter sister to Grey Mirage and she has the same good balance of body and legs with good muscle tone and weight. Tail could be a fraction longer for perfection but is of correct shape. She has a medium wedge with ears which are vertically set - the outer edge is just slightly wider than the lines of the upper part of her face. Good distances when viewed in profile and she has a flat top between her ears and a nice angle developing. Typical Russian expression to her almond shaped eyes which are deep green at the centres. Slight dip to nose in profile. Good whisker pads. Level bite, chin just steps back slightly. Fairly short soft coat with an even shade of medium blue across the coat. The silvery sheen is developing. Just a few dark ghost rings on her tail. Cute girl and promising.
FEMALE 6-9MNTHS
1ST - WILLIAMS-ELLISS' WARWICK SERENNOL-STARLIGHT
07/03/11 Some Russians have a better ear set when relaxed but this kitten really put her ears up when she was focusing her attention, and it gave her a lovely look. She is elegant with a firm well muscled body and she stands on long legs with neat oval paws. Moderately long tail tapers at the tip. Good wedge with flat top between her large pointed ears. Correct distance from ears to eyes, with distance from eyes to nose almost equal. Almond shaped eyes are set wide apart and they are green. Fairly good profile to her nose. Well developed whisker pads. Level bite and fairly firm chin. Her coat could be a fraction softer but it is dense and she has a silvery sheen developing to the blue - which just shows some marginal shading below the silvery surface.
2ND - HARVEY'S SHERTEJO CHERMONSKAYA
04/02/11 Elegant well grown kitten with long legs and oval paws. Tail is of good length and shape - it just has a slight fixed deviation at the tip. Good flat top of skull and distance to eyes, giving a good angle to her profile from eyes to nose. She has large ears of good shape - she just tended to flare them outwards slightly. Eyes are of a good shade of green and are almond in shape, just a fraction deeply set. Nose falls away a little, level bite, chin needs to firm. She is also lacking prominence to her whisker pads at present so it makes her muzzle look a fraction narrow. Very good dense double feel to her coat, which is short, soft and fine. The colour is quite dark and slightly shaded in places, with some silvery sheen evident. Sweet kitten.

04/07/10 Muscular male who is already showing maturity to his head. Large ears with rounded tips are fairly well set - he just tended to flare them at times. Almond shaped eyes are of a good deep green colour. They are set rather wide apart. Flat top to skull leading to the correct angle when viewed in profile. Level bite and firm chin, fairly well developed whisker pads. He has a short fine soft coat with the density of the double coat present. The medium even blue shows a silvery sheen. Tail is just a fraction thick at the base but has a tapered tip.
FEMALE
1ST - KAYE'S IGR CH SITHEE LILLIBULLERO
08/12/05 A very elegant female with good conformation to her muscular graceful body, long legs and oval paws. Tail balances to body and tapers at the tip. Wedge of good proportions giving a good angle and shape when viewed in profile. Large ears are of good shape and are set vertically to her head. Lovely green eyes with super Russian expression. Level bite and firm chin with prominent whisker pads. Short fine coat could just have a little more density but she is probably changing into her winter coat. The medium blue is well silvered. Sweet temperament.
2ND - YOUNG'S GR CH SIYKAT SHADOW DANCE
17/12/00 Lovely condition for nearly eleven years of age, bless her! Elegant female of good balance and proportions with a tapered tail. Quite a short broad wedge with ears which are well set and are of good size and shape. Her almond shaped eyes are pale but still green. Good profile and level bite - she still has her own teeth! Firm chin and prominent whisker pads. Her coat could be a little softer and finer but is of even colour, with silvering.
3RD - BANDY'S GR CH TROIKA LA BEDAYERE
02/03/09 The youngster of the class and she looked better when she relaxed. She has an elegant frame of medium strong bone, well muscled. Tail of good length is tapered at the tip - just a bit broad at the base. Short wedge from tip of her nose to her eyes, with large ears, vertically set, with good flat top between. Almond shaped green eyes. Fairly good profile and level bite. Firm chin. Her whisker pads improved when she relaxed. Short soft medium blue coat has a silvery sheen.

1ST - WILLIAMS-ELLISS' GR CH CATWO SERENNOL-MIKHAIL
26/05/10 A sweet boy with a lovely elegant body and moderately long tapered tail, longs legs and oval paws. Good wedge with flat top leading to a good angle in profile. Ears could be a fraction bigger for balance - they were fairly well set. Green eyes of correct shape - deeper in tone at the centres. Level bite, chin a little shallow. Whisker pads evident. His coat was a bit transitional - it felt a little harsh and was a little flat-lying at present. The colour is medium silvery blue.

18/08/09 A lovely elegant female with super ear set and typical Russian expression to her green eyes. She has a good profile and angle - her nose is just a fraction long. Prominent whisker pads, level bite and firm chin. Short soft fine coat has a good density and a reasonable double feel to it, and the blue is showing the correct silvery sheen.

19/03/11 An elegant kitten showing good development so far. He is muscular and has a weighty feel to him. Wedge is of correct proportions - he just has a slight bump on his nose in profile. Large ears ware well set. Super green eyes of almond shape. Level bite, good whisker pads developing, firm chin. Short fine coat just lies a little flat at the moment. It is pure clean white - he just has a couple of residual colour patches still showing on his head. Lovely condition and temperament.

14/08/10 Elegant male for his age with long legs and a tapered tail. Weighty and muscular. Good proportions to his wedge and the large ears with rounded tips - he tended to swivel them around making an assessment of their set a little tricky. Green eyes are set rather wide apart - they could be a deeper shade. Good angle and profile, level bite and firm chin, with fairly well developed whisker pads. Short fine coat has some density to it and is of a good colour. Sweet temperament.
2ND - ANDERSON'S GR PR SEMILLA ANGELO
24/05/08 A large but elegant mature male with good head shape and profile. Ears are large with rounded tips, fairly upright in set. Eyes are pale green but of good shape and set. Level bite and fairly firm chin, he has nice prominent whisker pads. Medium blue coat has the density and double feel to it - it just lies a little flat. Good silvery sheen evident.
3RD - HARVEY'S SHERTEJO BELIAVITCH
04/02/10 Another large framed elegant boy - but his ears could be a little larger to balance his head and he needs to hold them a little more upright. Good green eyes of correct shape. Flat top of head leads to the distinct angle and correct distance from eyes to nose. Level bite and firm chin with prominent whisker pads. He has good quality to the texture of his coat but the colour is very deep blue and it lacks the silver sheen as a result; he also has some faint ghost tabby markings on his body.

I was sorry not to be able to judge the cat in pen 40. She was not happy and did not want to come out, and I did not want to upset her further just for side classes.
1ST - TRODD'S PR LARKSONG TRODDSKI SOPHIA - Russian Blue
08/06/10 Balanced elegant female standing on long legs with oval paws. Tapered tail is of good length. Short wedge with large ears, held almost vertical to her head but with the outer line just a little wider than the lines of her head. Green eyes are almond in shape, set wide apart; good profile and level bite, chin a little shallow; well developed whisker pads. Short dense coat has a double feel and a silvery sheen to the medium clear blue.
2ND - YOUNG'S GR PR SASHOVA SIYKATERENKA - Russian Blue
13/08/04 - Another elegant female of good balance with slightly broad wedge which just tapers a little to a narrow muzzle - she was not showing her whisker pads today. Large rounded topped ears are set upright to her head. Good shade of green - for her age - to her almond shaped eyes. Good profile, level bite and firm chin. Her coat is fairly short and fine with density to it. The medium blue has a silvery sheen.

14/08/04 A mature female and she is very sturdily built, quite broad in the body with a tapered tail which appears a little short for balance. Short wedge with large ears of good shape, just slightly flared in set. Green eyes with good expression, good profile, level bite and slightly shallow chin. Short fine coat is dense and soft, of a good blue, well silvered.

13/03/10 A serious armful - or two! - of a cat with an elegant body standing on long legs, and a tapered tail which could be a fraction longer for perfect balance. Large ears with rounded tips. Good profile and angle. Green eyes of good shape and set. Level bite and firm chin with nice prominent whisker pads. Dense double coat is short; of medium blue with a slivery sheen.

Slightly concave nose line when viewed in profile; level bite, chin just steps back a little but whisker pads are evident. Medium blue coat with silvery sheen - it has density and is short.

Short fine dense coat has a double feel and a silvery sheen to the medium blue. Lovely condition.
