Mrs P Beard Smith

Thank you to Sarah and Lesley for inviting me to judge at their 50th Golden Championship Show. The new venue was ideally suited to a cat show and the lunch was excellent. My thanks to my steward Hayley Wild and my second steward Joanne Reddington.

1st CC w/h Hirons’ Hironsuade Ruby Rowntree [20e]
This girl is small and underdeveloped for her age. Small round head. Ears are wide at base and a little oversized. Her eyes are round, pale gold in colour and showing a green rim today. Broad nose. Level bite fair chin. Her cheeks are round but need more fullness. Her body needs to fill out more. She stands on medium boned legs and small paws. Coat short and nice texture but her pattern is not very well defined and is very brindled. She has tarnishing on her chin. I’m sorry but she had too many faults to award her the CC today.
BROWN, BLUE. CHOCOLATE,LILAC CINNAMON OR FAWN TABBY ADULT
1st CC w/h Hirons’ Hironsuade Blue Indigo [20a] Male
Litter brother to the tortie tabby female. He is a better size but still very adolescent looking. Round head with well set tall ears. Round eyes, gold in colour with slight green rim today. Medium length to nose. His muzzle is narrow and his cheeks lack fullness. Level bite fair chin. Large frame with good underlying bone to body and legs but his body lacks maturity and he is standing tall and looks gangly today. Tail balances with body. Nice texture to short coat. His pattern today is not very well defined and his ground colour is pale. I am sorry but I felt he had too many faults to award the CC. Hopefully it is a transitional stage he is going through.
