Mrs S Danks
Thank you to Sarah and team for my invitation to judge today, and for the very nice lunch. Also thank you to all exhibitors for allowing me to handle their lovely cats. I had a very enjoyable day accompanied by my excellent steward, Ian Barber who handled the cats with great care.
FOR BOB ONLY
BOB MRS L KOEHLER CH PETOVIAS RED WINDY (6d) M11/5/07
A very impressive boy, there is no mistaking that he is a smoke, showing excellent contrasts to his ash white undercoat ,shading to a deep rich red throughout, slightly paler to sides. Full silver frill framed his face. He had a broad rounded head with a full red mask, just showing some frown lines to his brow that just over shadowed his round copper eyes,. He had a near level bite and firm chin. Square body with good bone and a very good weight. He had short sturdy legs and a short full tail that had a slight defect at the tip, not however a fixed deviation (checked and confirmed by duty vet). Lovely natured boy in excellent condition and well shown.
CHINCHILLA& SHADED SILVER ADULT
FOR BOB ONLY
BOB MRS C M TURNER-RUSSELL CH VIVALDI BELLEOFTHEBALLE (55) F 27/4/09
A pretty little shaded silver girl with a rounded head shape and well sited neat furnished ears, rounded cheeks and muzzle. Deep break and a short snub nose with a brick red leather, good bite and firm chin. Round eyes of mid emerald, paler to outer edges. Small compact body with short legs and a dinky tail. Her coat was soft and well presented showing pure white undercoat with black shading to her lower back and top side of tail, shading between her pads. I would prefer to see more evidence of tipping to her face and shading to her upper body which is required of a shaded silver. Sweet temperament and well shown.
1ST CC & BOB MRS C M TURNER-RUSSELL CYPRESS CATHERINE (54) F 29/4/11
Only just into adulthood this little girl had a smooth rounded head with ears that need to drop a little and open at base. Good break with a short nose and full brick red leather. She had rounded cheeks just needing more width to muzzle to give a rounder head shape .Round eyes of emerald, paler to outer extremities. Good bite and firm chin. She had a pale apricot frill and bib and a pale chin. Some tabby markings evident to her face. She was of a good weight for her age with a square body, short legs and a full wide tail. Her coat is still not fully developed showing some greying at the roots with apricot and then shading to a warm golden with black tipping to her back, just needing more warmth of colour to her shoulders and face. She showed some mackerel tabby marking to her top side of tail, pale to underside and with black to hocks. Some faint barring to front legs. Hopefully the tabby markings will correct when she gets her full adult coat. Her coat was soft and full, expertly prepared for the show and she had a lovely disposition.
RED SELF KITTEN
1ST & BOB MISS C HIGGINS HEATHROSE SAINT ELMOSFIRE (4) M 11/7/11
A 7 ½ month old red boy with a slight bump to forehead, good breadth between ears that are a little large and open, he is lacking a full frill which made them more obvious. Deep break and a short broad nose with full pink leather. Large round open eyes of a promising deep copper developing. Good width to cheeks and muzzle, fractionally undershot, needing a little more strength to chin for an overall balance. Square body of a good weight with a tail in proportion. His coat was of medium length and warm rich red, showing tabby markings to his tail legs and face which hopefully will diffuse as he matures and his coat lengthens. Fainter markings to his body. His coat was soft and well presented, he was a little nervous out of his pen as there was a good deal of noise nearby. I look forward to watching his development.

2ND MRS K SHORT FAIRYPAWS TILSIES ECLIPSE (13b4) M 23/3/11
Just under a year old this lilac point boy had a rounded head with ears that need to drop a little. Deep break and a short broad nose. He was reluctant to open his eyes making them appear a little oblique in position, but looked better when persuaded to inside his pen, of a pale blue. Strong muzzle just needing his head to broaden for balance. His mask is developing well confined to his muzzle and brow, widening out to his cheeks. He had excellent contrasts from his clear magnolia white body colour, to his points that showed a warm lilac to his tail and mask, paler to legs. His coat was of medium length and well presented for the show. He was a good weight for his young age with a square body and short full tail, very easy to handle and with plenty of time on his hands to fully mature.

1ST MISS C HIGGINS CULLYKHAN TINKYWINKY WOO (12a5t) M 19/8/11
A stunning red tabby and white boy with a well balanced head shape, good breadth between neat well furnished ears. Deep break and a short snub nose. Large round open eyes, of deep muddy brown that he used to the full, copper developing well. Square body with short legs and tail. His white is confined to his lower face, bib and white to all legs. Short ringed tail, M to forehead, his tabby markings are more diffused to his body. He had a full soft kitten coat that was well presented for the show and with an endearing personality. My nomination for BIS kitten and was pleased to see him go on to get BIS Persian.
2nd MRS T HINTON GEMKIN DON JUAN (12a5) M 15/6/11
This red and white boy is almost into adulthood and has a nicely rounded head with neat fully furnished ears, deep break and a short broad nose. Large round eyes a sound copper developing. Unfortunately he has a lesion to his right eye. It was confirmed and passed by the duty vet, that it is a healing scar. I hope this becomes less obvious as he gets older, as he is a promising boy. Good weight showing a warm red. White to forehead and tear duct area, bib and white to all legs and white patch to back. Lovely nature
