AC EXOTIC SH NON-SELF ADULT: 2 entered, 1 absent.
BOB only WALL’S GR CH SHEERBLISS ENRICO 70 31a, M 14.4.07. Blue & White Bicolour Exotic. A huge male that I have had the pleasure of judging before, it was a pleasure to be able to award his BOB. At almost 2 years this male has it all, excellent body conformation & weight supported on thick short legs with a short tail to balance. His head is large & round with great width between small well set ears, smooth rounded forehead, round copper eyes, short nose, full cheeks, firm chin & level bite. Expertly prepared coat of mid blue which is sound to the roots with clean white areas. His coat is plush, standing well away from his body without a hint of shading anywhere. Wonderful to handle, he later got his Imperial Gr Ch, congratulations to his owner & his breeder.
AC SILVER TABBY KITTEN:
1 & BOB ROGERS PICWICK TINKERBELLE 7, F 24.7.08. Silver tabby Persian. What a beautiful looking little girl. She is 1 month away from being an adult but has used her time well, not overly large but with very good weight, conformation standing on short fat legs with large round tufted paws & a full furnished wee tail. She has lovely balanced type, excellent width between small well placed ears, round skull, large & bold round pale copper eyes. Nose is short with brick leather outlined in black, full cheeks, firm chin with a slightly undershot bite. She is obviously in the middle of a coat change, down sides & flanks the coat has a silky feel, along her spine line much harsher but new coat coming through, still a little woolly round her neck & tummy area, coat is very good length. Quite good tabby pattern showing ‘M’ to forehead with lines going over head & down to shoulders with butterfly displayed very well, unbroken lines from outer corner of eyes, pencil lines on cheeks & spotted whisker pads. Today lacks spine lines due to coat change, displaying oysters on flanks & spotted tummy, tail is ringed but all tabby markings diffused due to coat length. Legs barred with bracelets from body to feet with spotted toes. She is showing minimal tarnishing or possible staining to face with the same down area of spine line & unbroken necklaces to neck & chest. A beautiful baby that was a dream to handle that went on to win BIS Persian Kitten.
BLUE-CREAM KITTEN:
1 & BOB WEATHERLEY’S PICWICK HAPPYTHOUGHTS 13, F 12.11.08. Well she certainly lives up to her name, what a little poppet. At 4.1/2 months she is such a cute baby with wonderful expression & type. She has excellent top of head with tiny well placed ears complete with medium blue cream furnishings, smooth forehead, large round pale copper eyes, short nose with small nostrils & reduced blue leather, full cheeks, firm chin & scissor bite. Cobby shape supported on short fat legs with well covered short tail. Her coat is medium length & had been expertly stripped of guard hairs, pastel blue & cream intermingled plus showing some small patches on body which would be less obvious on a longer coat. Both colours to face & tail, all legs showing blue & cream, left front paw with large cream area to front of paw with back right foot blue. This didn’t detract from the overall impression of a delightful baby who was a dream to handle.
AC ADOLESCENT ADULT MALE OR FEMALE: 1 entered.
1 ANGUS’S PALCHINNO BLACK BESS 1, F 19.6.08. At just over 9 months this girl is lightweight, quite good shape & conformation on medium legs with tail in proportion. Today she isn’t at her best, her coat feels dry, black top coat with shady brown undercoat. Needs time to mature.

She has a medium length head, square muzzle with a chin that needs to develop more, perpendicular line to upper lip & nose leather. Cheeks are quite full, high cheekbones & level bite. Nose has uniform width & a shallow concave curve in profile. Large ears, wide at base & set high but well apart, appear pointed at tip & tall with tufts. Medium size long body feeling solid & muscular for such a youngster showing a rectangular appearance with squared rump, neck good length & in proportion to body. Substantial legs ending in large round tufted paws. Her tail is long, wide at base tapering towards the tip. She has good undercoat covered by a glossy top coat with excellent preparation, short on head, neck & shoulders increasing in length on back, flanks & tail. Breeches & tummy fur shaggy, not quite full ruff but enough to give the desired effect. Classic tabby pattern with dark red markings on a bright apricot agouti ground colour, ‘M’ to forehead with lines running over & down back to shoulder with butterfly present. She has stripes from outer corners of eyes, narrow cheek lines, spine line with stripes either side separated by ground colour, unbroken necklaces to neck & chest, oysters to flanks, ringed tail with tip ground colour & spotted tummy. A really enjoyable show with some beautiful cats to judge. I would like to thank Sally and Paul for the invitation and warm hospitality. I was very grateful to Jen Lacey who was an excellent steward; she handled the cats beautifully across the breeds and took a great interest in them all. I look forward to our next show working together. I took over some classes from other judges and hope the exhibitors were not too disappointed.
AV FOREIGN GRAND PREMIER, MALE
1 IGP HUMMERSTON’S CH & GR PR CHRISAN CAMELOTT, 33 31S, MN, 3.7.2006
A handsome and elegant Cornish of excellent type and style. Medium wedge with high cheekbones. Large ears set rather high on the head, wide at the base and rounded at the tips. They were the ideal “mussel” shape. Flat skull that curved gently at the brow and the profile was straight. Rounded muzzle and a strong chin. Excellent eyes that were of medium size and oval shaped. The top line was almost straight set with a slight slant to the outer edge of the ear. Excellent expression, he looked very wise! Elegant neck. Medium length body with a hard, muscular feel and long, straight legs with neat oval paws. Long tail that was fine and tapering. Excellent coat that was short and dense; silky texture and beautifully waved on the back, sides, legs and tail. Crinkled whiskers of good length. Shown in excellent condition and with a delightful temperament. I was delighted to find out later this had given him the Imperial title that is so well deserved – many congratulations!
RES: DOCHERTY’S GR PR LOHR STEELERS WHEEL, 72 43ASQ, MN, 7.6.2007
Handsome Asian who was marginally plump but not sufficient yet to blur the type. The head formed a short, balanced wedge with good width at the jaw hinge The top of the head was gently rounded as was the forehead when viewed in profile. There was good depth to the head. Medium ears that were broad at the base and rounded at the tips. They were set well apart and the outer edge continued the lines of the upper part of the face. Large eyes that were very expressive; the top line slanted towards the nose and the lower line was generously rounded. Pale green eye colour although the prevailing light was poor, making it difficult to assess correctly. Medium length to the body with a firm, muscular feel. Straight back and good chest. Slender legs with oval paws. The tail was a good length to balance and tapered to a rounded tip. Lovely short coat that was fine and close lying with a healthy gloss. Medium degree of shading showing the soft silver blue extending around half way down the shaft with a pale silvery blue ground. The light was not helpful but he had a definite silver base rather than the cool beige expected on the blue. Excellent condition and temperament, but do not allow him to eat all the pies!!!!
AV FOREIGN GRAND PREMIER, FEMALE – There were two real beauties in this class!
1 IGP LEE’S GR PR KALUKIKATS ARABESQUE, 76 20, FN, 1.3.2005
A really outstanding Bengal for type, coat quality and pattern! Broad medium wedge with the desired gently rounded contours. The head was slightly small in proportion to the body and the ears were small, rather short but wide at the base and rounded at the tips. They were set to follow the contours of the face and pointed forward when viewed in profile. Gentle curve to the profile showing a slight concave curve at the bridge. The nose was broad with a slightly puffed nose leather. Full, broad muzzle and a rounded, strong chin. The eyes were oval in shape, large and expressive, with a slightly oblique setting. Attractive green tone. Long, sleek body that was firm and muscular. Medium length legs with large, rounded paws. Excellent tail of medium length that was thick and even with a rounded tip. Short coat that was very dense and did feel luxurious to the touch. Excellent rich colour with lovely marbled pattern showing real contrast. Excellent condition and a delightful temperament.
RES: BANDY’S UK GR PR TROIKA ODETTE, 16A, FN, 17.7.1996
A beautiful Russian looking really good for her age and so unlucky to meet the winner. Elegant and balanced with a charming personality. Short wedge with a flat top of head and prominent whisker pads giving a broad finish. Large ears that were tall rather than held vertically. Very good angle with a virtually straight nose. Good chin. The eyes were of almond shape and set rather wide apart. Good depth of green. Long, graceful body that was well muscled and with medium boning. Very good legs and tail. The coat was short and very fine; dense on the sides but a little thin on the spine. Pleasing clear blue tone with a distinct silvery sheen. Excellent condition and temperament.

Lovely width at the muzzle and a snub nose with a brick leather outlined in black. Wonderful eyes that were large, round and really expressive. Outlined with black, they were a beautiful emerald tone. Cobby body with solid muscle tone and short, thick legs with tufted paws. Short, bushy tail to balance. Beautiful coat quality, it was long, dense, silky and fine. The chin, furnishings, chest and stomach were a clear, pale apricot. The back, flanks, head and tail were a deep gold, evenly tipped with black. The tipping on the spine and the tail was heavier. Black paw pads. Shown in sparkling form and with a delightful temperament.
RES: MEADOWS CH & PR YOONEEK WISHUPONA STAR, 6, MN, 30.8.2006
A mature Smoke who was showing really good contrast. Very good type, balance and expression. Broad head with rounded contours and showing excellent breadth between the small tufted ears, though he tended to hold them a little high when he was being judged but they were fine when he relaxed back in the pen. He had excellent width at the muzzle. Snub nose. Stunning eyes that were a rich copper tone; they were large and round with a very pleasing expression. Cobby body that was strong and muscular but not coarse. Short, thick legs with tufted paws. Short, bushy tail. Excellent coat that was long, dense and silky. Lovely long silvery frill. Mask apparent to the face with the deepest intensity of black on the head, back and legs. The black extended to two thirds the length of the hair. The undercoat was ash white. AC BRITISH PREMIER, FEMALE
I must apologise to the owner of the female spotted tabby entered. I took this class over from another judge; it was way down in my book after all my Opens instead of at the front with the other Grands. Also, with the green flash across the slips instead of the purple or red I think of as the Grand classes, I thought, at a quick glance, it was a side class. Consequently it was after lunch when I reached this female and there was no way she was going to come out and be judged. I thought it was better to leave her in peace rather than force the issue. I am really sorry.
Many thanks to Sally & the committee for inviting me to the show, & to Sonya Hornsby for stewarding for me so ably, & for her usual good company; we had a super time & some lovely cats.

1. CC & BOB PETERS’ BUGGIBA ELLIECHLO GABBIE (72 45eq), Brown Tortie Ticked Tabby, 13.08.06
Tortie ticked girl of pleasing overall type. Top of head very gently rounded, good width between medium ears showing forward tilt in profile & continuing shape of upper face in front view. Slight rounding to brow in profile, well defined break to fairly short straight nose; short blunt muzzle of good width & medium depth level chin. Lustrous olive green eyes, set wide apart with top line curving down towards nose & well rounded lower line, giving typical expression. Solid muscular girl of good weight & maturity, slim legs in proportion to body ending in small oval feet; tail reaches shoulder when brought around side of body & tapers to a “paintbrush” tip – has very small invisible end defect. Excellent coat of short silky texture, displaying clearly defined ticking extending about half way down the hair shafts, in darkish seal brown with shades of red on pale beige undercoat. A few bars inside front legs, dark spine line, hocks & tail tip, “M” & scarab on head & light facial markings. Pretty girl with subtle colouring, shown in excellent condition.
2. TAYLOR’S CH ELANAY TIARELLA NOBILL (72 45q), Brown Ticked Tabby, 03.09.06
Almost the same age as the tortie girl but looking a little less mature today. Fairly large ears, needing a bit more width between them, set on gently rounded top of head; tilted forward in profile but not quite following line of wedge in front view. Brow a little flat, good break to slightly long straight nose, the tip lining up with level chin of medium depth; muzzle just a bit fine & bite marginally scissored over. Large lustrous eyes of greenish yellow, set wide apart & showing correctly slanted top line & full rounded lower line giving a super expression. Muscular body, feeling a little light in weight today (perhaps due to calling?), slim proportionate legs ending in small oval feet; tail of good shape & correct length to balance. Pleasing coat of medium length, fine & silky in texture showing 2 bands of seal brown ticking, extending around half way down the hair shafts, on paler brown undercoat. “M” & scarab on head, facial tracings, faint half necklace, some bars inside front legs, spine line, dark brown colour to tail tip & hocks. A bit wriggly today!

Marked as Wrong Colour:
DOCHERTY’S GR PR LOHR STEELERS WHEEL (72 43asq), Blue Silver Burmilla (burmese colour restriction) MN, 07.06.07
Huge boy of overall good type but somewhat lacking in elegance due to his weight. Gentle rounding to top of head, medium ears set wide apart, following shape of upper face in front view & tilting forward in profile. In profile, slight rounding to brow, good break to fairly short straight nose, the tip lining up with level chin of medium depth; excellent width to short blunt muzzle & level bite. Greenish yellow eyes of very good size, set well apart & showing top line slanting towards nose with nicely rounded lower line, giving typical expression. Very large heavy body, rounded chest, medium legs ending in oval paws; tail rather thick in shape but tapers a little towards the tip & falls short of shoulder when brought around side of body. Quite intriguing colour-wise; I could see no evidence of silver in his coat today, there was no undercoat at all on the spine, top of head or face (places where it would certainly be expected on a silver shaded cat), with only a little (one-third or less of the hair length) off-white undercoat to the lower part of the flanks. There were warm mushroom tones to the muzzle, chest & paws as would be expected of a blue standard agouti cat. There was little or no shading of colour tone from the spine down towards the underside, it was the same intensity of blue throughout, giving the impression that he could in fact be a ticked tabby rather than a Burmilla. However, I gave the benefit of the doubt on this issue, as so many Asians fall somewhere in between the two patterns. There was quite a bit of ticking in evidence on the flanks, an unbroken necklace, “M” & scarab on the head, blurred facial markings, fairly heavy multiple leg bars & tail rings & darker blue extending up hocks & at tip of tail. The coat was slightly long, rather dense & soft in texture, not quite typical of an Asian Shorthair. I would be interested to see this boy at a different time of year as it’s possible that his coat may change with seasonal influences.

1. PC & BOB TAYLOR’S PREFERE STOMU YAMASHTA (72 45fsq), Cream Silver Ticked Tabby (burmese colour restriction) , 15.03.08
Only just over a year old but already a big boy! Good width to gently rounded top of head, medium ears set well apart showing forward tilt in profile & following line of wedge in front view. Slight rounding to brow, good break to short straight nose , the tip lining up with chin of medium depth. Pleasing width to blunt muzzle & level bite. Greenish yellow expressive eyes, fairly large in size & set well apart; top line appears a little straight , lacking desired slant towards nose, good rounding to lower line. Very solid muscular body (may need to watch his weight as he gets older!), medium legs ending in oval paws; tail is a little thick in shape at base, tapering to a rounded tip & just reaching shoulder when laid along side of body. Coat is slightly thick in texture, medium in length & fairly close-lying. Rather subtle pattern evenly distributed over body, ticking of medium warm cream extending at least half way down the hair shafts, with clear silver undercoat. Most likely a heterozygous ticked tabby, showing “M” & scarab to head, delicate facial markings, unbroken necklace, fairly heavy bars to all limbs & rings to tail, with darker cream extending up hocks. A very friendly relaxed boy shown in excellent condition.

1. NICE’S KETCHEREX DE JAR VU (33a 36), Black Smoke, 11.10.08
Absolutely delightful purry baby who loved being handled. Fairly large broad-based tufted ears with small muffs, set quite low on flat skull (he did tend to hold them up at times but he was very interested in everything going on!) Slight curve to brow in profile, good stop to short nose; well defined whisker break & plenty of width across cheekbones. Stubbly whiskers & eyebrows, short broad muzzle, medium depth to level chin & correct bite. Pale green eyes, oval in shape, set wide apart & slanting towards ears, giving typical “wicked” expression. 5 month old boy of good size & weight for age. Elegant neck, firm body supported on long slim legs ending in small oval feet; well covered tail tapers to tip & reaches beyond shoulder when brought around side of body. Coat covers body & displays rexing over back, flanks, chest & extending down legs; perhaps a little long & loosely waved for perfection, but of pleasing soft texture. A very confident & outgoing kitten, showing promise.

1. & BOB CRAGG’S MAGICAL MIZ TIGGYWINKLE (33a 27sx), Brown Smoke Darker Points, 08.11.08
Another very promising kitten & such a time waster – she nearly went in several judges’ and stewards’ pockets! Very large broad-based ears with small tufts & muffs, set low on almost flat skull. Gently curving brow in profile, well defined stop to short nose & excellent width to short muzzle. Wide across the cheekbones, definite whisker break with short crinkled whiskers; reasonable depth chin is almost level & bite correct. Large yellowish-green eyes with stubbly eyebrows, set wide apart, oval in shape & showing slant towards ears, giving delightful “wicked” expression enhanced by wrinkled frown lines on her forehead. Elegant neck leading to solid muscular body, long slim proportionate legs ending in small oval paws; well covered tapering tail of good length to balance. A little lacking in coat at present, although some very fine down is present on her tummy and a reasonable covering on the upper body – too short to rex as yet, apart from on backs of ears & tail. Wonderful temperament – I loved the overall look of this little girl. Both of these kittens were a joy to handle, congratulations to the owners & breeders.

Excellent coat, dense & satiny in texture with healthy sheen. Pattern of rich warm chocolate markings on pale copper agouti ground, showing excellent definition & contrast. “M” & scarab on head, facial tracings, lines extending back over head & breaking into spots on spine; small spots over shoulders & larger thumb-print shaped spots on flank showing desired bullseye arrangement. BURMESE IMPERIAL GR CH MALE
IMP GR CH JARVIS’ GR CH KYMIAN KIPLING, red; marginally small for a male adult, but felt strong and muscular, with elegant limbs, tail rather tapered, and a little short to balance; coat is of beautiful sleek fine texture, and of a bright rich tone of red, head has medium length wedge, with good break in profile and rounded brow, level chin and bite, I would prefer a little more width at the jaw hinge, well shaped and set ears, eyes are of nice shape, pale yellow in colour.
Res w/held; 2 PALLISTER’S GR CH PENWYNKATZ CRÈME DELIGHT; cream; well proportioned body and limbs; unfortunately today he felt light for his build, perhaps seasonally, and lacking in substance, especially over the shoulders; he really lacked the “heavier than he looks” feel; tail of balancing length and good shape, coat is of sleek texture and even tone, clear of bars; head has medium length wedge, good nose break, level chin and bite, nicely rounded brow, well shaped and set ears, yellow eyes of good shape.

OPEN CLASSES
GOLDEN ADULT:
1 CC BOB BRAY’S GR. CH. LORINA GOLD ‘N’ DELICIOUS (54) DOB 11.08.06. This was a very pleasing golden lad with excellent overall balance. He had a large smoothly rounded head, with his small ears very well positioned to give an excellent top of head. His eyes were large and round and of a good green colour. His nose was small with a good break. He had a perfect bite and a firm chin. His coat was full and softly textures, with a warm golden colour. There was evidence of him changing coat, with some grey at the roots, and more correctly, the top coat was lightly an evenly tipped with black. He had a strong, cobby build, with broad shoulders and chest, his back was short and broad ending in a wide rump, and he had short well boned legs, and a full short tail. He had been well prepared for the show and had a good temperament.
AC EXOTIC SH NON-SELF KITTEN MALE:
1 LEES’ SHEERBLISS GIFTWRAPPED (70 30s) DOB 01.11.08. This black silver spotted exotic lad was well grown for his age of less than five months, and he had good overall balance. He had a large smoothly rounded head with good breadth and full cheeks. At this stage of his development, he carried his ears a little high, but they were small and nicely rounded at the tips. He had bold round eyes with a very good copper colour developing. His bite was level and he had a firm chin. He had a small broad nose with a good break, and a brick red nose leather. This lad had a good cobby build, with a short neck, broad shoulders and chest and a short broad back that ended in a wide rump. His legs were well boned and short and his tail was thick and of a length in proportion to his body. At his age, he lacked some fullness of coat, but it was soft in texture and had been well prepared so that it stood well away from his body. There was a good silver ground colour and his tabby pattern was well broken into elongated spots. He had a clear M on his forehead, spots on his face and spotted whisker pads. There was white edges to his ears and he had short silver ear tufts. His tummy was spotted, and there were three spotted lines running down his back. I thought this was a very pleasing exhibit, who had been well prepared for the show.

She had a short broad nose with good break, and lilac coloured nose leather. Her eyes were large and round, but for perfection I would have liked o see a richer colour than the pale blue colour that they were. At almost seven months old, she was a well grown baby, with a cobby build. Her large round head was coupled by a short neck to her broad shoulders and short body. Her chest and rump were broad, and she had short well boned legs. Her short tail, was thick along its whole length, and nicely rounded at the tip. Her coat had a soft texture and was dense and plush standing away well from her body. Her magnolia white body coat had a little surface shading over her back, but she had good matching lilac points with her mask covering her face. well rounded eyes a clear green in colour well set with good width between
them. Coat short and fine with exceptional silver tipping over the whole
body. A light to mid blue in colour with a few vestigial tail markings.

brow and a dip in the profile. Broad muzzle with distinct whisker pads
and a clear whisker pinch. Strong chin and an even bite. Ears set at 45°
large with a wide base. Large almond shaped eyes, set at a slight angle,

but rather small to balance the head. Expressive oval eyes of good size
and set. Firm chin, missing a few teeth but has an even bite. Coat short

strong muzzle. Medium sized ears set such that the give the desired butterfly
outline. Large eyes of good shape and set. Good depth of chin, bite even.
Coat still kittenish in length and texture. Evenly shaded with some tarnish
on the face. A little overawed by the show but handled well.

Very much a baby and dwarfed by a double pen. Firm body with commensurate
legs with elongated oval paws. Tail, slim and balances the body for length
Head shows a modified wedge of good length for the width. Strong check
bones round to the flat top of head. At present lacks prominent whisker
pads, very shallow chin but with an even bite. Large ears set at an angle
to the head. Very expressive large eyes of good shape and set. A happy
girl who was quite content out of the pen.
3rd Bandy's TROIKA VASILISA, (16a), F. 17.09.2008.
Very attractive kitten, that, face on, shows very good Russian expression.
Body shows very good balance for her age, with affirm feel to it. Legs
are long with small oval paws. Tail commensurate to the body, gently tapering
to the tip. Head has a short broad wedge with well developed whisker pads.
Top of head is still a little rounded and the Angle is only just beginning
to develop, the profile is very nearly straight at present. Firm chin
and a level bite. Eyes of good shape but a little small for perfect balance.
Eye colour is very well developed and is a clear green. Large ears, set
vertically with good width between them. The distinct Russian coat is
well developed and is both soft and very dense. Silvering beginning to
develop. Medium blue in colour and sound to the roots, with several tail
rings evident. A very friendly exhibit who was very relaxed out of the
pen and was reluctant to return to it.

A well balanced, mature girl with a strong powerful body, belying her
age. Tail balances the body, long legs with neat oval feet. In the pen
she appeared to thrust out her muzzle, giving the impression of a long
wedge. However when she came out she promptly retracted it, showing a
perfectly balanced short wedge. Profile shows a well formed angle, good
depth of chin and even with several missing teeth, a level bite. Well
developed whisker pads give width to the muzzle. Vertically set ears of
good shape but could be a fraction taller for perfection. Large almond
shaped eyes, a clear green in colour. An excellent, soft, dense coat,
mid blue in colour and blue to the roots. Quite content to come out and

ORIENTAL IMPERIAL GRAND PREMIER MALE.
IGP, SMITH’S GR PR MOUSTACHES FENTON FAUVE. (37fn) 22.6.99. Oriental Apricot. A very handsome and impressive chap in wonderful condition; one of the first cats I judged when I became a judge of orientals, and one which taught me all about sound coats!! Very strong broad wedge head with length to balance. Ears well set although, on such a strong head, they could be a touch larger. Very good strong profile with a deep firm chin, clean white teeth, and a perfectly level bite. Eyes well set and shaped, of clear bright green, lovely soulful expression. Long muscular body and neckline, slightly heavy but very well toned. Stands up tall on long strong legs. Tapered tail needs just a little more length for perfect balance. Superb sound and close lying coat, very even in tone and free of ghosting – the colour hot and sandy, an excellent example of his particular breed colour. Approaching 10 years and looking as good as ever, as always he was beautifully presented and a delight to handle.
RIGP w/h, 2 ELLIS’S GR PR MYLYNN MOONSHADOW. (62 20). 9.12.06. Oriental Brown Tabby Longhair. This lad has absolutely wonderful type but he is a longhair and, although his coat texture is excellent, at his age I would expect to see more length of coat. It is difficult, be it time of the year, hormones or whatever, and I do sympathise, but I have seen him with a lot more coat than he has at the moment. Beautifully balanced strong wedge head with large ears, wide based, well flared and with wisps and fronds. Strong profile with a firm chin and level bite. Lovely expression to mid green eyes of excellent oriental shape and set. Long muscular body, well nourished but very firm. Long strong legs, well plumed tail. Fine silky textured coat, beautifully prepared but, at the moment, generally lacking the length required by the breed standard. Tabby markings excellent on his head, face and legs. His plume shows some diffuse rings. Solid wide spine line. Spots well distributed and although there is some linkage they are impressively sound. Presentation and temperament both excellent.
ORIENTAL IMPERIAL GRAND PREMIER FEMALE.
IGP w/h, 1 CLAYDEN’S GR PR SPELLCASTER BLACKBESS. (37) 24.2.04. Oriental Black. An attractive lady in excellent condition and of good overall type, but in my opinion she does not quite make Imperial.. Mid length wedge head with well set ears of adequate size. Profile shows a small dip and her chin could be deeper. Teeth untidy but her bite was acceptable. Slightly full pale green eyes rather lacking the wicked look that I love to see in a black. Long slender body with dainty legs and paws. Tail a good whip – for perfection could be a touch longer. Superb short, close coat which was jet black and sound to the roots. Rather a shy girl, beautifully prepared and presented
ORIENTAL TORTOISESHELL ADULT.
CC w/h, 1 KEEDY’S THAIANTIA WHAT THEDILLIO. (37h) 19.12.07. Chocolate Tortie. A young queen of average type, looking a tad immature for her age. Shorter wedge head. Ears could be larger and require more width between them. Tiny dip to profile, good chin and bite. Eyes of good shape and set but held full - pale chartreuse in colour. Long slim body with dainty legs and feet. Good whip tail. Lovely texture to her short sleek coat, well patched and mingled in dark rich chocolate and shades of bright red. Presentation and temperament both excellent.
HAVANA NEUTER MALE.
PC w/h, 1 SOLARUS NIRAN CHAO-FAH. 8.6.08. Just 9 months and well grown for his age but of very kittenish appearance at the moment. Shorter wedge head. Ears could be larger and require more width between them. Dip to profile, fairly good chin, level bite. Innocent wide eyed expression to bright green eyes. Well nourished body, somewhat at the ‘puppy’ stage at the moment. Long sturdy legs. Tail tapered and of balancing length. Coat of good length and texture, the colour looked quite dark, and a touch cold but this could have been as a result of the yellow hall lighting – on the plus side it was reasonably sound. Presentation and temperament both excellent.
ORIENTAL CLASSIC TABBY NEUTER MALE.
PC w/h, 1 WILLIAMS & MARSH’S PATCHESTY IGGLEPIGGLE. (41n) 8.6.08. Caramel Classic. Of good type but very immature and kittenish at the moment, and the classic pattern that should have been, sadly was not. Evenly balanced wedge head. Ears of good size but need to be a little more open at the base. Bump on profile, firm chin, level bite. Bright mid green eyes of lovely oriental shape and set. Slender body with good muscle, but needs to gain in masculinity. Long slim legs. Long whip tail. Super coat texture, his colour excellent with warm brownish grey markings on a warm beige ground. He did have good facial markings, broken leg bars and some classic tail rings, plus 1 unbroken and 2 broken necklaces, but the lines running over his head disappear into a virtually solid spine line with no evidence of butterflies, and what should have been clear oysters were barely discernible as such. His temperament was superb and his presentation excellent.

Long body, a little dainty in stature at the moment but she was firm and weighty. Slim legs. Well ringed fine whip tail. Good warm seal tabby markings. Firm thumb prints. Clear M and single cheek ribbons. Paler leg bars and arm bands. Almost clear warm toned body, her coat short and close lying. Lovely temperament – promising baby.

Many thanks to Sally and Paul For the invite and hospitality – a low entry this year for this normally very popular Show, in line with so many others in the current climate unfortunately. Thanks also to Pat for her attention and care to our charges.
IMPERIAL CLASS AC ORIENTAL ADULT MALE1 (IGC w/h) HAGGAR’S GRCH SUSPIRIA SIMPLY SOLARUS (37r) 21/4/07 A well balanced young fawn man with the most endearing of temperaments. Short even wedge with well set ears that ideally could be a little larger, small bump to nose in profile, firm depth of chin and level bite, oriental eyes of good depth of green, tiny pinch evident, level bite, good length of neck – body is of proportionate length with slender legs and neat paws. Tail needs another inch although a good whip. Warm rosy tone to coat - a few ‘highlights’ evident to back and sides otherwise it is of a reasonable soundness and was of good texture, just a fraction long. His tail unfortunately was suffering from quite a large greasy area showing ‘stud tail’ which is always a problem on a young male of this age but I felt detracted overall for the high level of this award. Sorry.
IMPERIAL CLASS AC ORIENTAL ADULT FEMALE1 IGC SMITH’S GR CH MYLYNN MISHKA (62 43s) 26/5/06 OLH Silver shaded lady who shows fine elegant oriental type, medium wedge with ears of good size that ideally for my preference need a little more width and flare to them, excellent eye shape and set of bright green, almost straight profile and minimal pinch, level bite, long fine neck and toned lengthy body with length of tail to balance, long legs the paws just a little large. She shows a super pattern for her breed with the silver pushed well up the hair shaft considering she has an ideal length of coat, dark hocks and facial tracings, super plume and fronds – her coat was close lying but of very good length and texture.
C ORIENTAL PREMIER NEUTER MALE
1 LOWELL’S PR SUSPIRIA WILLIAM BECKFORD (37k) 21/4/07 A large gentleman who did not appreciate being disturbed from his mid morning nap he said! Medium wedge with large ears that are set close and held high, tiny dip to profile firm depth of chin and level bite, oriental eyes of a pale green tone – held a touch full until relaxed, lacking in neckline rather and his body although of good length is very rotund which blurs his oriental type, whip tail marginally short. Coat warm in tone but very unsound and patchy with ghost barring and tail rings showing, of very good texture.
2 JAMES & HART PR KRISTOPHE LITTLEWILLOW (29c) 27/1/06 Lilac lad who was looking extremely ‘sludgy’ warm brownish grey toned I have to say – would not wrong colour in the Hall lighting but he would be interesting to see in daylight, his nose leather and paw pads being a pinkish grey as well. Medium wedge with quite a pronounced pinch, ears of good size but set close and high, eyes of a good shape of pale green tone, lacks depth to chin and the bite just over long firm body and balancing tail, long fine legs. Coat of very good texture – condition was excellent.

AC ORIENTAL LH NEUTER1 (PC w/h) ELLIS’ ROUJASMA RED RUFUS (62 43 ds) 22/3/08 Rather a shy young man this red silver shaded. Medium wedge with ears of good size but they are set and held forward which unbalances somewhat, bump over brow in profile, eyes a little full in shape and unfortunately yellow in tone (my main reason for w/h), chin and bite ok, well nourished body, length of tail with small defect approx 1” from tip which of course because of the length of coat is not visible. Very heavy legs and large paws.dark red shading extending approx half of hair length to red/silver base, coat prfuse and although of good texture does not really lie close to body.
BOB ELLIS’ GR PR MYLYNN MOONSHADOW (62 20) 9/12/06 Brown tabby lad who has glorious type and style I was just a bit hesitant as I would like a little more coat by this age although what there was was of a lovely texture.
1 CC and BOB SIMPSON’S SHERMESE MERCEDES 9/4/08 Elegant and flashy young miss. Long wedge just a little sharp to muzzle and with tiny depression evident. large open based ears set following the lines, oriental vivid blue eyes, tiny pinch, good depth to chin and bit ok.Long neck and fine body with slender legs and neat paws. Dark blue based points showing correct brown tone developing, purple/brown leather and pads evident, tonal shading, excellent coat texture and length. Feeling a little hormonal I think as she was very amorous towards us!
TABBY POINT SIAMESE MALE NEUTERConsidered for and awarded BOB HARRINGTON’S PR LOLUJA CASTINGASPELL (32/10) 8/9/07 Long and lengthy chap of good type, just needs a little more chin. Points of a warm cream tone and his coat off warm white with minimal shading, points lightly etched. Handled confidently and well.
AV RADIUS ADULT1 TITTERALL’S MAMIA MISS DIOR (48e) F 30/10/07 Black tortie and white Bi-Colour. Rather sharp wedge with large ears that are set too close to balance, almost straight profile, lacking depth to chin although bite ok, oriental eyes of good green – she appeared to be favouring the right one, fine slender body with whip tail and dainty legs. Glossy almost sound black to sparkling white ration – there were some good rich red breaks but unfortunately she has a degree of white hairs evident in her black areas. Short gleaming coat qualities.
AV ADULT1 ARMSTRONG’S CH JOHPAS RED ROUE (32a) 19/10/07This red lad has a text book head against the SOP - with large open based ears forming triangular lines , oriental vivid blue eyes, straight profile, firm chin and level bite, his body of good length and muscle – needing a tad more substance as yet which is probably an adolescent male thing when they come out of ‘puppy fat’ stage. Whip tail and long fine legs. Bright red gold points – the legs paler and virtually unshaded bright white body. His coat long but of good texture. Purred for us non-stop.
2 SMITH’S FIROUSI FORYOUREYESONLY (48 40 d) M 29/4/07 Red Point and White Bi colour male who at the moment lacks any masculinity – still looks very adolescent and is indeed at the puppy fat slightly short stage. Short wide wedge with minimal pinch, ears of good size but he tends to bonnet them, almost straight profile, no pinch, good chin and bite, eyes full in shape and pale blue in colour, lacking a little in neckline and his body is of very good weight but needing to ‘pull out’ and gain the hard muscle of a full male, His points show a pleasing brightness, lovely inverted white V to his nose and has sparkling white to 2/3 of his body, pale stockings and saddle of colour just evident. Good texture to slightly long coat.
1 WILDON’S SUNJADE SILKMOTH (45k) F 15/10/08 Lovely cinnamon ticked with a textbook pattern to her – the SOP could be written around it! Short strong wedge with large well set ears she just bonnets a tad when out of the pen, almost straight profile, firm depth to chin and spot on bite, oriental eyes of a pale green tone, firm well developed body and lengthy tail, quite sturdy legs and boots! Warm rich coat - a real ‘rabbit’ pelt to her with treble band ticking which is even and matched from her head through body, legs and tail. Coat fits like a glove. Lovely – as with all true stars very aware of her own importance!
AV JUNIOR NEUTER1 LORS & LORD’S DRUIDSWAY BLACK PANTHER (37) MN 7/5/08 As the name suggests an Ori Black who is indeed slinky and panther like. Very elegant with long wedge and wide set ears, oriental brilliant green eyes, lacks chin unfortunately which ruins his profile somewhat however his bit is ok, long fine neck and body with long string-like tail and super slim long legs. Short gleaming virtually sound coat – very flashy and eye catching!
AV LIMIT NEUTER1 CROWLEY&LAMBERT’S JOHPAS RAFAEL (32fn)MN 9/5/08 Well grown handsome apricot lad, Long wedge with roman profile large well set ears balancing length, oriental bright blue eyes, chin falls away, small pinch, bite ok, long neck and lengthy firmly toned body with whip tail, stands tall on elegant legs. Points of a glowing hot tone with a warm white coat ‘dusted’ in apricot sheen. Coat short and gleaming.

1 WILLIAMS & MARSH PATCHESTY IGGLEPIGGLE (41n) MN 8/6/08 Caramel classic lad who is suffering a bit of an identity crisis regarding pattern and looks rather effeminate. Neat wedge with bump over brow in profile, ears of reasonable size but needing to be more open to base, oriental eyes of pale green, chin and bite ok, short fine body with whip tail, Shows 1 complete and 2 broken necklaces and a vestige of lines running from head to shoulders however there it stops. Virtually solid along spine and not a hint of ‘butterfly’ or ‘oyster’ evident. His colour is excellent - clearly caramel with warm beige ground colour, broken leg bracelets. Excellent short coat of very good texture.
My Thanks to Sally and her team for the kind invitation. It was good to see Sally back on her feet. I was fortunate to have Julie Wilkinson helping me with the exhibits, she handled them with great care, hope we can work together again before long.

The ears are broad at the base and have rounded tips, but are slightly large. Eyes are of the correct shape with a rounded bottom line and a slightly flatter top line slanting to the nose. The eye colour is yellow chartreuse. In profile the head is a good depth. There is a gently rounded brow, good depth of head, and ears have the correct slight forward tilt. The nose break could be more distinct and the chin is slightly shallow and recedes slightly. The bite is level, but some of her incisors have not erupted. The body is of a good weight and well muscled, with slender legs and neat oval paws. The tail is a good length to balance and tapers gently to the tip. Coat is close lying but a little coarse in texture is places and slightly long on the back. It is a cool tone of chocolate, which is a little patchy in places and there is faint barring on her rear legs at knee height. A very friendly kitten.

Cobby deep body standing low on her short well boned legs. Correct length to the tail but it is rather thin. The coat is a little long but has a crisp texture and reasonable density.
