Mrs D Butters

My thanks to Sally and her team for inviting me to the Capital LH Show. We had a lovely day with lots of excellent cats to handle. Special thanks to husband Steve for stewarding again.

AOV SLH CHAMPION MALE
GRC, BEST & MATTHEWS’ CH TASSARE BOBBY DAZZLER, 64 41sw, 26.05.2007
Classis Silver Tabby & White Maine Coon. A true gentle giant, groomed to perfection and fantastic to handle. Large ears, well furnished, sitting high yet well apart on the head, giving him an alert expression. Really strong masculine head of medium length and very good breadth with fairly full cheeks. Large green eyes, set in a good slight oblique and well apart. Good shallow concave curve to the nose. Very well defined square muzzle, firm deep chin, level bite. Large and long rectangular body, very muscular, in balance with the head, massive boning to limbs and big round tufted feet. Very well furnished flowing tail, tapering slightly towards the tip, tail length reached the shoulders. Wonderful coat qualities, full ruff and breeches, shorter over the shoulders and increasing in length down the back and sides of the body. Very glossy topcoat covering the undercoat. Silvery white agouti base colour with black classic tabby markings which were well defined. White to all four feet, underbody, chest, bib, chin and lips. Very worthy of the Grand, this male has a huge amount of presence and a delightful temperament.
RESERVE, PERCIVAL’S CH BLEUGEMS TEDDIE BEAR, 66 31, 08.08.07
Seal Bi-Colour Ragdoll. A lovely example of the Ragdoll breed with excellent breadth to the head and a good flat plane between the ears. Medium sized ears, set wide apart and with a slightly forward tilt, ear size balanced well with the rest of the head. Large eyes, slightly obliquely set and a medium shade of blue. Medium length nose, very pleasing profile with a gentle dip and slightly retrousse towards the tip. Well filled cheeks and very good definition to the rounded muzzle. Full chin though could be a fraction firmer for perfection, level bite. Broad chest leading to a long weighty body showing very good muscle tone. Substantial boning to limbs of medium length, large round paws. Bushy texture to a tail which reached the shoulders. Coat of medium length with a full ruff and knickerbockers. His coat felt very silky indeed. Well marked bi-colour pattern, evenly marked inverted ‘v’ to the face starting on the forehead. White line down the spineline. Very slight extension of the beige body colour down the front legs. One coloured sport to the left back leg (totally acceptable). Dark seal brown to face and ears, tail very slightly paler in tone. He has the most wonderful temperament, adores being handled and was groomed to perfection. I really did have a job on my hands separating these two boys and have to take into account minor details including colour/pattern to split them up as this boy is also very worthy of a Grand Certificate. I could have taken him home with me.

AOV SLH CHAMPION FEMALE
GRC, HERMON’S CH ADFURLO AISLING, 67 31t, 06.04.04
Brown Tabby & White Norwegian Forest Cat. A substantial and muscular female with a lovely expression, typical of the breed. Large ears, set high and in line with the outlines of the head. Head of very good overall length, showing a good equilateral triangular shape. Large green eyes, oval shaped and set in a very good oblique setting. Lovely long straight line to the nasal profile. Long muscular body, solid boning to limbs and paws. It is clear to see that her hind legs are longer than her front ones when she stands on the table. Bushy texture to the tail which reaching the shoulders and balanced the body nicely. Currently in full winter coat with an Elizabethan ruff and full knickerbockers. Lots of woolly undercoat present, covered with longer glossy guardhairs. Attractively marked with about 40% white, contrasting with the brown ticked tabby pattern. Super to handle and beautifully groomed.
RESERVE, STANTON’S CH RAGADDICT MIAMORIO, 66 31, 02.10.07
Seal Bi-Colour Ragdoll. The first thing you notice about this girl is her stunning deep blue eye colour, the blue is so deep that you can barely see the pupils until you look closely – amazing! Medium sized ears, set wide apart with a flat plane between them. Good breadth to the head with well filled cheeks and a well defined rounded muzzle. Large eyes, as mentioned above, fantastic colour and set in a slight oblique. Gentle dip to a nose of medium length. Level bite, firm chin. Nice breadth to chest, long body, overall she is a medium to large sized female, quite large boning to medium length legs, round paws. Very well balanced tail for length, reaching the shoulders, it was quite well furnished and exhibited a bushy texture. Some ruff present around the neck, dense and silky coat of medium length to the body, nicely developed knickerbockers. Beige body colour, very slight extension of the body colour down the front legs, otherwise she has a very well marked bi-colour pattern indeed with a well placed inverted ‘v’ to the face. Well presented and lovely to handle.

SEAL POINT BIRMAN ADULT
BOB, LEE’S GR CH KLASSYKLOGS KALEMYOKOKO, 13c1, F, 09.07.02
Seal Point. A lovely mature female with a really strong broad rounded skull and full round cheeks. Wide set ears of good medium size. Beautiful expressive eyes, large, almost round and deep blue in colour. Slight dip in profile to the medium length nose. Well developed muzzle, full chin, level bite. Long body, very good weight and substance, well boned limbs of medium length leading to short strong paws. Balanced tail, very well furnished with a bushy texture. Quite a full ruff around the neck, coat was fairly long and had a silky texture. Some darker top shading to the beige body. Very good contrast between body and the dark deal brown points. Points were even in depth including the tail. Gloves were rounded in shape, finishing just below the angle of paw and limb on both front feet. Left sock slightly shorter than the right though covering the foot. Gantlets tapered, ending about three-quarters of the way up to the hocks, quite even in length. Very easy to handle and well presented.
CC, ENSOR’S CH KHATIJEM JUSTADREAM, 13c1, F, 12.06.04
Seal Point. Another very pleasing girl, exhibiting good Birman type. Broad rounded shape to the skull, showing strength yet retaining femininity. Overall, I felt that her head was not quite as strong as my BOB girl today. Ears of good medium size, set well apart. Large eyes, not quite round in shape and this girl also had deep blue eye colour. Nose of medium length with a slight dip present. Full round cheeks, tapering to a well developed muzzle. Level bite, full chin. Long body of nice size and substance, good solid substantial bone to legs of medium length, short strong paws. Balanced, bushy tail. Quite a long coat with a ruff framing the face. Deep seal brown points, well marked and showing good contrast with the beige body colour. Darker top shading evident over the back and side of the body. Scalloped gloves, covering the toes on the front feet. Socks covered the back feet, gauntlets tapered to end about two-thirds of the way up to the hocks. Left gauntlet was slightly narrower than the right. Well groomed and good to handle.

BLUE POINT BIRMAN
BOB, GREEN’S UK GR CH DEMILUNE JACINTA, 13c2, F, 26.03.00
Blue Point. A beautifully balanced female all round, showing lovely Birman type. Really strong broad rounded skull with very well set ears of medium size. Large eyes, very expressive indeed, almost round in shape and still quite a deep shade of blue even though she is heading towards nine years old. Very well filled round cheeks, tapering to a strong, well developed muzzle. Slight dip in profile to the medium length nose. Good full chin, level bite. Long body, excellent weight and substance, very well boned medium length legs, short feet. Very well furnished bushy tail, in balance with the body. Really full long silky coat, including a ruff around the neck., colour was cold bluish white, slight shading present over the shoulders. Medium shade of blue-grey to mask, ears, limbs and tail, quite even in depth all round. Well marked gloves, ending just below the angle of limb and paw on each front leg. Socks of quite even length, both covering the back feet. Gauntlets ended about halfway up to the hocks, a little rounded in shape at the end rather than truly tapering. Great to handle, lovely demeanour and very well groomed.
CC, FINCH’S SNOWWITCH KINGDOMOFSUMMER, 13c2, F, 25.06.07
Blue Point. A very pretty young lady of eighteen months old, and showing good size and development for age. She has good breadth the strong skull of rounded shape with well filled round cheeks present. Large eyes, almost round in shape, medium shade of blue. Slight dip in profile to the nose of medium length. Well developed muzzle, full chin. Long muscular body, weighty and of good size for a female of this age. Solid, well boned legs, short strong paws. Bushy tail, in balance with the body length. Nice coat length for age, already quite long and with a fairly full ruff framing the face. Coat colour is bluish white, very slight top shading present. Medium to deep shade of blue-grey to the mask, ears, limbs and tail though there was a slight brown tone to the tail as can be seen in the blues. Nicely marked gloves covering the feet and finishing just below the paw/leg angle. Socks were quite even in length and covered the back feet. Gauntlets ended about two-thirds up the back legs to the hocks, rounded shape at the end of each one. She was nice to handle and well presented.

TABBY & TORTIE-TABBY POINT BIRMAN ADULT
CC & BOB, MLYNEK & HAYWARD’S GR CH MLYWARD RASBRIN, 13c11, F, 26.04.05
Seal Tabby Point. An absolute joy to handle, this girl has a fabulous temperament. Lovely strength to the round broad skull with wide set, medium sized ears, all adding to a very well balanced expression and head shape. Very full round cheeks, tapering to a well developed muzzle. Gorgeous eyes, large and expressive, almost round in shape and a wonderful deep shade of blue. The eyes were accentuated by well marked spectacles. Medium length nose with a good slight dip present. Level bite, full chin. Long body of good weight for size, body balanced the head well. Nicely boned limbs of medium length. Short strong paws. Very well furnished bushy tail, balancing the body. Lovely coat all round, long and very silky with a full ruff framing the face. The coat was a clear pale beige colour, slight top shading evident over the back and sides of the body. Deep seal brown tabby points with a pale brown agouti, the points showing excellent contrast with the body colour. Well marked ‘thumb prints’ to the ears, spotted whisker pads and an ‘m’ on the forehead. Stripes clearly evident on the limbs and she had rings to the tail. White gloves to the front feet. Slight dip of colour to the left glove though generally it ended in a straight line just below the angle of paw and leg. The right glove was more rounded in shape. White socks of even length covering the back feet. Gauntlets ended just below the hocks, though they did finish in thin lines rather than truly tapering to points. Presented beautifully and groomed to perfection.
2ND MOTT’S JANDOUGLEN SEILEACH, 13c13, F, 14.03.08
Chocolate Tabby Point. The baby of the class at just nine months old and I feel that she is showing very good development and balance for age. Good medium sized ears, already sitting wide apart even though her head has not yet reached its full breadth, ‘thumb prints’ present. Strong feminine head, rounded in shape and already quite broad, full round cheeks and a well developed muzzle. Clear mid blue eyes, large and almost round, surrounded by spectacles. Chin could be a fraction firmer though shows good fullness. Level bite. Long body, very good weight and muscle tone for nine months, substantial bone to medium length legs, short strong paws. Bushy tail, very slightly brindled though tabby rings evident. Well marked points, especially for a youngster with milk chocolate markings on a pale bronze base already clearly evident. ‘M’ to forehead, spotted whisker pads and bars to the legs. The points contrasted very well with the pale ivory body colour. She had a very well developed coat, already long and very silky with a ruff around the neck. Nicely marked gloves, covering all the toes. White socks covering the back feet, gauntlets tapered very well and ended about three-quarters of the way up to the hocks, left one was marginally longer than the right. Nicely presented and easy to assess.
3RD ADAMS’ CH AREZZA MY FAIRLADY, 13c14, F, 22.02.06
Lilac Tabby Point. A large female showing very good weight and substance. Excellent breadth to the head, rounded skull, full round cheeks. Ears could be a fraction larger to be truly medium sized in comparison to that large head, they were well set, sitting wide apart. Large, almost round eyes, lovely deep blue colour. Slight dip in profile to the nose. Because her top section of head is so strong and broad, the muzzle area is currently a little unbalanced in comparison and I would like to see it a little more developed as it tapered very slightly. This was my main reason for her being placed behind the youngster today. Chin quite full. Really long and very solid muscular feel to the body. Well boned limbs and feet, legs of medium length. Very well furnished bushy tail, balanced with the body length. Long and very silky coat, magnolia in colour. Typical of a dilute, thumb prints were not very visible on the ears, though she had a well marked lilac tabby mask, some bars to the limbs and rings to the tail. The points showed good contrast with the body colour. Nicely marked front feet with gloves ending just below the angle of paw and leg on each foot. Socks covered the back legs and were even in length. Gauntlets ended in a rounded shape, finishing about two-thirds of the way up to the hocks. Beautifully presented, though today she was a little unsure although she did allow us to handle her without a problem.
4TH MLYNEK & HAYWARD’S CH MLYWARD AYATABA, 13c12, F, 24.04.06
Blue Tabby Point. Unfortunately this female was not happy today and I was unable to do a thorough assessment on her. Broad head showing strength yet femininity, rounded in shape with full round cheeks. Wide set ears of good medium size. Mid to deep blue eyes, large in size, today they were rather bold though I put this down to her being unsure. Medium length nose with a slight dip present. Well developed muzzle, chin could be a little firmer and fuller. Nice substance to the long body, well boned limbs of medium length, short strong paws. Very well furnished bushy tail, in balance with the body. Full ruff and long silky coat, bluish white in colour . Quite a deep shade of blue to the markings with a light beige agouti base colour. Points were very well developed and showed very good contrast with the body colour. Rounded shape to gloves, covering all toes on both front feet. Unfortunately we were unable to fully assess her gauntlets as she decided that she had had enough and I felt it better to allow her to return to her pen at that point. Presented beautifully.

SILVER TABBY SERIES MAINE COON KITTEN MALE
1ST MCQUILKIN’S NORACOON GORGEOUS GEORGE, 64 41ds, 22.07.08
Classic Red Silver Tabby & White. A well grown kitten for five months old. Huge ears, nicely furnished and sitting just under an ear’s width apart on the head. Head of medium length, breadth yet to develop with cheeks currently unfilled though cheek bones are set high. Large copper coloured eyes, set in a good slight oblique and quite well apart. Shallow concave nasal curve. Square muzzle, firm deep chin. Really long body of rectangular shape, he feels substantial and weighty. Very large boning to limbs and big round feet. Very good tail length, easily reaching the shoulders, furnishings developing length. Shorter kitten coat at the moment, very well marked classic tabby pattern. Quite a warm shade of red to the markings, some areas of silvery white agouti, though ideally I would like to see more evidence of silver base throughout the body length. Hopefully this will improve as his coat lengthens. He was rather tetchy today, surprising for such a young kitten, especially of this breed. Hopefully this is down to him being unsure and he will settle down as his confidence improves. Very well groomed.

SILVER TABBY SERIES MAINE COON KITTEN FEMALE
1ST GILLMAN’S NAVARRI ONE INAMILLION, 64 41esw, 29.05.08
Classic Silver Tortie-Tabby & White. This seven month old girl had a lovely strong head of medium length with cheeks already quite full and overall length a little more than the breadth. Well placed and nicely furnished ears, set about an ear’s width apart, sitting high on the head. They were quite large in size, though for perfection I would like to see them just a little larger at this age. Eye colour developing, currently a green/hazel combination, eyes were large and bright, set slightly obliquely. Good shallow concave curve to the nose. Well defined square muzzle, firm deep chin. Level bite. Lovely long muscular body, showing the classic rectangular shape with large boning to limbs and paws. Long flowing tail, very well furnished and reaching the shoulders. Coat of good length and texture, especially for a kitten, with some undercoat present and a good glossy topcoat. She has a nicely developed ruff and breeches. Nicely marked classic tabby pattern with a well mixed combination of red and black markings combined with a silvery white agouti base. Attractive red flash on the forehead. White to chin, bib, chest, tummy and all four feet. Super to handle and beautifully presented.
2ND KILMARTIN’S NITERAP CATYRAYA, 64 41sw, 23.05.08
Classic Silver Tabby & White. This girl had a really bright and very alert expression with lovely large and beautifully furnished ears, set high on the head, about an ear’s width apart. Good medium length to the head with breadth developing nicely and cheeks filling out. Vivid green eyes, set slightly obliquely, good large size. Nose has a shallow concave curve in profile. Square muzzle, level bite, firm chin. Good long body, currently a little rangy and I wondered if she had started calling. Good solid boning to limbs and large tufted paws. Long tail, very well furnished indeed and tapering slightly towards the end. Really full ruff framing the face, coat shorter over the shoulders and increasing down the back and sides of the body, well grown breeches. Guardhairs lengthening over the back and sides, she already has a good level of undercoat evident. Classic tabby pattern starting to become clearer and she has oysters on the sides of the body. Well marked head, limbs and tail. Nice level of white including all four feet and underbody. Lovely to handle and very well presented.
3RD IRWING’S LEAHSBLUES TIARA, 66 44sw, 22.06.08
Mackerel Silver Tabby & White. A promising young lady with a very alert expression. Lovely large ears, set high and sporting tips and tufts. Head of medium length, breadth yet to come with cheeks just starting to fill out. Green eyes, large and set in a good slight oblique aperture. Nose has a good shallow concave cure present. Square muzzle, level bite. Good depth to a fairly firm chin. Long body, though because she was very nervous, it took a little while to get her to un-tuck herself. Nicely boned legs, round tufted feet. Tail balanced the body well, furnishings already quite well developed. Coat length developing well, she already has some ruff and well developed breeches. The coat was a little open, which I put down to her being nervous today. Very well marked Mackerel Tabby pattern with white to lips, bib, chest, tummy and all four feet. This girl has potential and I hope that her confidence grows and she is able to relax and show herself off to her best advantage.

CHOCOLATE & LILAC POINT BIRMAN NEUTER MALE
PC, SEMOS’ GR PR PRIDNJOY PUCK, 13c4, 15.05.02
Lilac Point. A mature male of six years old, showing very nice type and substance. Wide set ears of medium size, balancing the strong broad rounded masculine head very well. Very well filled round cheeks. Large eyes, not quite round and a medium shade of blue. Muzzle tapered a fraction. Quite a full chin, level bite. Wonderful body, really long and very substantial indeed with excellent muscle tone. Very well boned limbs, medium in length and ending with short strong paws. Bushy tail, just about balancing the body for length. Pale magnolia body colour, coat was quite long and of good silky texture. Fairly full ruff. Gloves covered the feet nicely, even length to socks. Gauntlets of nice shape and tapering to end below the hocks. Well defined mask, ears and limbs, all similar depth of pinkish grey. Tail was slightly paler than the other points. He was good to handle and nicely presented.
2ND GARDNER’S PR SNOWWITCH FRANKINCENSE, 13c4, 20.02.07
Lilac Point. Not quite two years old and I feel that this boy is currently at that in-between stage of development – everything is there, it just needs to come together now. Unfortunately today he was not too impressed with his neighbours and I feel that this also affected his expression. Rounded shape, head quite broad and showing strength. Cheeks could be a little fuller though were round in shape. Ears were set wide apart and medium in size, though today he kept bonneting them. Expressive eyes, not quite round and mid blue in colour. Good slight dip in profile to the nose. Nose was marginally over medium length in comparison to the rest of the head. At the moment, his muzzle appears a touch on the long side for true balance with the rest of the head. Level bite, full chin. I feel that his overall head shape and balance should look much better once he gains his full head breadth as he matures. Very nice body size and shape. Long body showing muscularity and excellent weight with a very substantial feel to him. Thick set limbs, medium length and very well boned. Short strong paws. Balanced tail with a good bushy texture, tail and limb colour slightly paler than the ears and mask, though still pinkish grey in colour. Off-white body colour, coat currently on the shorter side with some ruff framing the face. Rounded shape to gloves which covered all the toes. Gauntlets tapered well, ending about three-quarters of the way up to the hocks, evenly marked socks. Today he was not too happy and was very tense. This boy had a lot of nice qualities, I was particularly impressed with his body shape and size. I feel that once everything comes together and his coat develops its full length then he will be much more balanced all round. He was nicely presented.

CHOCOLATE & LILAC POINT BIRMAN NEUTER FEMALE
PC & BOB, LEPPARD’S UK GR CH & IGR PR FANCYTOO GRUOCH, 13c4, 29.12.95
Lilac Point. A fabulous girl in every respect, wonderful Birman type, lovely temperament and shown in tiptop condition. There is no way that you would ever guess that she has just celebrated her thirteen birthday – wow! I loved her head shape. Excellent strength to a broad round feminine head, with wide set ears of good medium size and in balance with the rest of the head. Large eyes, very expressive indeed, almost round shaped and mid blue in colour. For her age, she has very good eye colour. Medium length nose with a slight dip present, tiny drop-off towards the tip. Full round cheeks, tapering to a very well developed muzzle. Level bite, full chin. Very good body shape, long and with a very weighty feel to her. Thick set legs of medium length, well boned and leading to short strong paws. Very well furnished bushy tail in balance with the body. This girl has a beautiful full winter coat, excellent ruff framing the face and a long silky magnolia coat to the body. The coat colour had wonderful contrast with the pinkish-grey points, which were all even in depth including the tail. Rounded shape to the gloves on the front feet with white evident on all toes. The right glove as a slight dip of colour heading towards the two inner toes. Well marked socks covering the back feet. Gauntlets ended at a similar place on the back legs, just below the hocks, though they were rounded in shape rather than really tapering to end in points. Presented immaculately and lovely to handle today. A real credit to her owner/breeder.

Mrs L Grant

I would like to thank Sally and the committee for inviting me today.  It was a super way to start the New Year with some lovely cats to Judge.  Thank you to Don for coming and stewarding for me and keeping me on track.
BLUE POINT BIRMAN KITTEN MALE:
1 & BOB HAYWARD’S MLYWARD MUNCHKIN (13c2) (27.06.08). Lovely young Blue Birman Kitten of very good type and just 6 months of age.  He is a very balanced cat for his age and has a super personality.  Strong skull with a broad head, full cheeks and lovely rounded muzzle.  Very expressive eyes, almost round in shape and of a good blue, just slightly deep set for me.  Slightly receding chin and very slightly overshot bite.  Lovely dip to profile.  Medium ears set well apart.  Lovely blue grey points markings with slightly paler legs.  Very good long body with very good body weight and substance for his age with excellent boning.  Strong limbs and large paws.  Very god coat quality, soft and silky and very well developed for his age.  Good medium length coat of a lovely pale colour with a medium ruff and shirtfront and just very slight shading to his shoulders and back.  Good even gloves and socks.  Very good medium length gauntlets, super full shape and both finish at just a slight angle.  Nicely matched.  Slightly short but bushy tail.  Lovely temperament, a very sweet lad who just purred all the time he was out of the pen.
2 GARDINOR’S ATAKAD AIMIN HIGH (13c2) (01.07.08). Young Birman kitten of just over 6 months of age and with nice Birman type.  Strong skull with a good broad head and reasonably full cheeks but just needs more fullness and roundness in the muzzle to develop.  Almost round eyes of a good blue, well set but quite brindled around the eyes and to the muzzle at present.  Good slight dip to profile with a little bump.  Slightly weak chin and slightly overshot bite.  Ears a little tall at present but nicely set apart on the head.  Very good boning and with reasonable body weight for his age.  Long body with strong limbs and large paws.  Very pale coat with a lovely texture and with the length still developing.  Slate blue points marking, with paler legs.  Low scalloped gloves, slightly angled on the paws.  Evens socks.  Good medium length gauntlets, almost matched and even and full in shape, the right ends in a point with the left being more rounded off.  Medium bushy tail.  Lovely sweet temperament.
RED, CREAM AND TORTIE POINT BIRMAN KITTEN FEMALE:
1 & BOB WOODHEAD’S MUSRAFY LACEY (13c8) (07.05.08). Lovely Birman kitten of excellent type, almost 8 months of age.  Strong skull, broad head with full cheeks and lovely rounded muzzle.  Very expressive, almost round eyes, very good blue eye colour.  Very well set.  Medium ears, still just a little tall.  Slightly receding chin but level bite.  Slight dip to profile with a little bump.  Very pronounced white whisker pads at present, which I suspect is brindling, she is also very brindled around the eyes and at present, this does detract a little, making her look a little unbalanced.  Good body weight and substance for her age with strong limbs and paws.  Low scalloped gloves, white extending at the back on the right glove but not to the stopper pad.  Even socks.  Medium long gauntlets almost matched and even and nicely tapered.  Very pale, soft and silky coat, length still needs time to develop but has no shading at all.  Slightly short bushy tail.  Lovely blue tortie markings extending to all points.  Lovely temperament, very promising kitten.
2 ENSOR’S KITTAH ARTEMIS (13c6) (10.08.08). Another lovely type kitten of almost 5 months of age.  Such a shame that she does not have all the required tortie colour present on all her points.  At present she is missing any seal from both front legs and one hind leg.  Lovely mottled markings to her mask and ears.  Very harmonious kitten, with a broad head, full cheeks and lovely rounded muzzle, she just needs a little more time to fill out.  Ears a little tall at present.    Almost round eyes, slightly pale eye colour, especially at rims, very well set and super expressive.  Slight dip to profile with a little bump.  Slightly weak chin and almost level bite.  Very pale coat, soft, silky and with good length for her age, still a little kittenish in texture, but very well prepared.  Slightly low and scalloped gloves.  Even socks.  Low to medium length gauntlets.  Reasonably matched and full in shape.   Good body weight and substance for her age, with a good long body and with strong limbs and paws.  Medium bushy tail and a lovely personality.  A very confident kitten.
3 BROWN’S DALTEEMA FANTASIA (13c10) (03.06.08). Another lovely type kitten, who needs time for her colouring to develop and unfortunately today I could not see any lilac on  her front legs or her tail, we did take her to the white light, but still no lilac appeared.  The lighting in the hall did not help but she has more caramel than lilac tones at present.  Lilac tortie is a very slow developing colour and this kitten is only just 7 months old, so hopefully the colours will develop in time.  Strong skull with a broad head, reasonably full cheeks and slightly narrow muzzle.  Ears a little tall at present.  Almost round eyes, with slightly pale blue eye colour, well set.  Slight dip in profile.  Slightly weak chin and level bite.  Grey and pink nose leather with lilac and cream very apparent on her mask and ears.  Good medium length coat for her age, with good length, very pale with no shading.  She had slightly dirty feet and would have benefited from a little more preparation underneath.  Very good body weight and substance with good boning, long body and thick set limbs and paws.  Nice even gloves. Even socks.  Good medium length gauntlets, good full shape and nicely rounded.  Very sweet girl with a lovely temperament.
NORWEGIAN FOREST NEUTER MALE:
1 PC & BOB  KERR’S TIGANLEA PRINCE QUINBY (67 31dt) (24.10.06). Handsome NFC lad of just over 2 years of age with very good NFC type.  Very good triangular head with a lovely clean triangle.  Slightly rounded forehead.  Almost straight profile but very lacking in chin.  Almost level bite.  Slightly broad bridge to the nasal profile.  Large oval eyes, well opened and slightly deep set but oblique.  Large ears, nicely tapered and well furnished but slightly wide set on his head.  Very long body with very good boning and substance.  Long limbs and strong paws.  Good body weight for his frame.  Typical NFC stance.  Long tail, reasonably well furnished.  Good snowshoes.  Full coat with a good ruff and shirtfront, good medium length coat with an obvious double coat to his saddle but with the top coat being overall a little too soft to the touch.  I suspect this was due to him being bathed for the show as he was very well prepared.  Attractive Red tabby coat pattern.  Lovely gentle giant with a super temperament.
2 SCOTT’S GLEDEKATT TYR (67 31t) (26.08.06). Substantial NFC lad of just over 2 years of age and of good NFC type.  Very good triangular head, but I would prefer slightly more roundness to his forehead.  Almost straight profile but very bumpy to the front portion of the nasal profile.  Large ears nicely tapered and well opened at the base.  Well furnished and very wide set on his head.  Large eyes which were a little round in shape but set obliquely.  Very good long body with excellent boning and substance.  With strong limbs and large paws.  Good NFC stance.  Very good coat quality and texture with definite guard hairs and a super quality double coat.   Full coat with a good ruff, shirtfront and breeches.  Sweet lad a little nervous but handled well.

2 LEPPARD’S KLASSYKLOGS KATRIONA (13c1) (05.04.08).  Beautiful Birman kitten of just over 8 months of age, who was very unlucky to meet my winner today.  She is a lovely example of the breed and has excellent Birman type.  Broad head with full cheeks and a lovely rounded muzzle.  Would benefit from a slightly stronger chin but with a level bite.  Almost round eyes of a good blue well set and with a lovely typically Birman expression.  Very good dark seal points to all points with just slightly paler legs.  Ears a little tall at present.  Very good even gloves and socks.  Very good medium to long gauntlets.  Almost matched and even, good full shape and tapering nicely.  Good long body with good body weight and size for her age.  Very good boning  with strong limbs and paws.  Very pale coat, very slight shading to her shoulders and back but just giving an over glow to her coat.  Soft and silky with good length for her age and very well prepared.  Medium bushy tail.  Very promising girl with a good temperament.

Mrs A Gregory

A very enjoyable show with a high standard of quality among the cats; I would like to thank Sally and her team for the invitation to judge and warm hospitality. I was also most grateful to Ruth Wehren for braving the freezing temperatures to come along and steward for me. She seemed to enjoy her venture into the Persians and Semi Longhairs and was excellent company; I hope we can work together again soon.
AC PERSIAN NON-SELF CHAMPION, MALE
1 GCC TONKS GR CH ZENDIQUE ATZAR ISBORN, 70 8 30A, M, 28.9.2007
An extremely impressive young male who was an excellent size, strong, cobby and solid. The head really was round and massive with excellent breadth of skull and very well balanced. Neat ears, rounded at the tips, were set wide apart and low in the contours of the head. Round forehead; full cheeks and muzzle with a strong chin and powerful jaws. Short, broad nose with a stop. Large eyes that were full and round. Good, deep orange tone and a bold expression. Excellent body with a broad, deep chest, massive shoulders and rump. He stood low on short, thick legs with large, round, firm paws. Short tail that balanced well. Excellent coat quality; it was really dense, plush and soft. It stood well away from the body and was of medium length. The spotted tabby markings were well defined, slightly better on one side than the other. There was some linkage apparent. Very good facials, leg barring and tail rings. Very good colour and contrast with the cool toned agouti ground. Excellent condition and a wonderfully confident, affectionate temperament.

Bi-Coloured Ragdoll Adult, Male;
1st  CC & BOB.  PERCIVAL’S  CH BLEUGEMS TEDDIE BEAR.  66 31.
08-08-07.  Seal, this lad has the most superb temperament & really excellent Ragdoll type, with the gentlest of expressions.  Head broad, with width across the cheeks & between the eyes, well developed muzzle, flat plane to the brow, gentle dip in profile, with correct retrousse tip to the nose, good chin, bite slips over just a tad.  Ears of medium size, set well, slight hint of forward tilt, well furnished interiors.  Eyes large, slightly oblique setting, the colour to be critical could be a little deeper & more intense.  Body is well muscled & showing excellent development for his young age, with good boning to the legs & paws, some tufts from the toes, well balanced length full brush.  Must beautifully prepared coat, the length excellent, lovely ruff, full knickerbockers, soft fine texture, good length also on the tummy, with long whiskers & eyebrows.   Body showing warm tonal beige shading with white flashed patches of white also along his back, balanced inverted white blaze on his face, with the white extending through his chin, chest tummy & legs, the back white to along the body line with the exception of a seal patch on the left back hock, the remainder of his mask, ears & tail warm seal brown, odd white hair flecked beneath his eyes.  He is an exceedingly handsome chap in wonderful condition & perfect manners, a real pleasure to handle as he enjoys the whole experience, as an example of his breed he really is very impressive ( I would just rather he did not have the seal patch on his hock, but perfection hasn’t been discovered yet).

Bi-Coloured Ragdoll Adult, Female;
1st & CC STANTON’S  CH RAGADDICT MIAMORIO.  66 31.  02-10-07.  Seal,  this is another girl for whom I have a liking indeed I believe in the past I have always placed her above ‘Teddie’ on the basis of eye colour, but there was no doubting that today he had the edge.  Going through the maturing stage where she is perhaps becoming ready to start maternal duties to give her a little more depth & more mature appearance.  She has reasonable breadth across the cheeks, her muzzle showing just the slightest pinch, pleasing flat plane to the brow, gentle dip in profile, retrousse tip to her nose, her chin adequate, bite good.  Gentle forward tilt to her medium size, well placed ears, well furnished interiors.  The eyes could be a little larger, they do have a slightly oblique setting, the colour is superb deepest intense blue, where it is difficult to see the pupil as it is so dark.  Body now at the stage where she need sot deepen off & fill out more, proportionate legs & paws, tail of balanced length quite a full brush.  Quite good length to her coat, has the makings of a ruff but still some way to go, well prepared, good knickerbockers.  Body is now showing some shading of warm soft beige, she is completely white on the chin, chest, tummy & legs, with balanced inverted white blaze.  Warm seal on the remainder of her mask & ears, some degree of brindling at the base of her otherwise warm seal tail.  She has such a lovely gentle temperament, excellent condition, will look better still with a degree of maturity.
Also Considered for BOB.  NEVIN’S  CH CADENCE HAMLET.  66 31a.
27-02-04.  Blue, this lad though of very good type lacked the impact of the BOB winner & also a couple of problems with regard to pattern.  Head has good breadth at the cheeks, the muzzle a little fine, reasonably flat brow, has the required retrousse effect to the nose, chin runs back just a touch, bite good.  Ears medium size, well placed, good inner ear furnishings.  Ears large more rounded shape, good oblique setting, rather pale dull blue colour.  Body not the degree of substance I would have expected given his age, proportionate legs & paws, medium length tai the brush a little sparse.  Coat was good length with quite full ruff, the knickerbockers well developed, coat could be a little denser, reasonable soft silky texture.  Shady body a little more beige than cool tonal blue, white collar line, inverted white blaze, the chin should be white but it was stained yellowy tone, white chest tummy & legs but with blue extending quite extensively down both hocks, with yellowy staining also present on the back legs, the remainder of the mask, ears & tail a relatively even if darker shade of blue.  Very gentle good natured lad.

Usual Somali Kitten;
1st & BOB.  RHODES’S  STACYM TAKU TAZI.  28-07-08.  Well grown, firm kitten, though I confess to a degree of deliberation over the BOB.  Moderately shorter medium wedge, the muzzle a little finer than I would ideally have preferred & a little more pinched than gentle muzzle indent, gentle rounded brow with slight break, chin tapers back a little, I consulted with the DV over the bite as it did not appear quite level, his advice was to make allowance till teething was complete.  Ears quite well cupped & pricked, tiny tufts, could be a fraction larger, some inner furnishings.  Wide almond eyes, hazel/gold tone.  Medium length body, slim legs oval paws, with small tufts, broader base to the gently tapering tail, the brush still to develop more.  Coat has a very good texture, the length is starting to develop, longer on the tummy, good britches.  Some slightly paler spectacles beneath the eyes, darker pigmented line around the eyes themselves, upward flash on the brow, the ticking was well apparent with some evidence of banding, the ticking deepening over the lower back & tail, with black tail tip, heel markings well up the hocks.  His actual colour has a pleasing degree of brightness, more obvious on the throat & tummy, the muzzle was also showing a good degree of colour.  Condition was excellent & he a good degree of confidence.

Silver Tabby Series Maine Coon Neuter;
1st  PC & BOB.  BUTLER’S  PR JINGLEBELLS VALENTINO.  64 31ts.
09-04-06.  Black Silver Tabby & White, a very handsome & imposing lad of excellent type & substance.  High well cheeks to his masculine head which is a little longer than wide, strong broad square shaped muzzle, has the required gentle concave curve in profile, deep strong chin, bite good.  Ears large, though not wide could ideally be a little taller in set, tufted tips, well furnished interiors.  Eyes good larger size, round in shape, slight obliqueness to the setting, green in colour.  Powerful neck, strong masculine body excellent rectangular appearance, strong heavy boned legs, large paws with tufts emanating from the toes, well balanced well furnished tail.  His coat has excellent length & is also very dense, with a good degree of ruff, shaggy on the tummy, full britches, long whiskers & eyebrows.  His pattern was showing good stripes on the cheeks, acceptable ‘M’ on the brow, good bracelets, tail rings on the underside, body pattern could have been more clearly defined & was showing some brindling.  Has some white on the chest, tummy & paws, I deliberated on his colour, which was not as Black as I would have preferred & there also quite a degree of tarnish present, he appeared to have been heavily chalked though there was no obvious puffs of powder, as a result he looked blue/black rather than definite black, though I accept this was also possibly attributable to the lighting conditions & as a result I gave him a degree of leeway, his silver ground colour could have been clearer.  He was beautifully composed & relaxed & his condition excellent.
2nd  CANNELL’S  MABALKAT WOLFMAN JACK .  64 41sw.  10-01-08.  Black Silver Tabby & White, this lad is impressively well boned & was most beautifully presented but as yet looking more like an overgrown kitten than an adult (even a neutered one).  Head has quite a soft appearance, high well defined cheeks, broad puffed whisker pads, profile has rather more defined break than gentle concave curve, chin could be a tad deeper, good bite.  Ears are very large their size further enhanced by the huge tufts on the tips, but they are very angular in set & he tends to bonnet these forward, lovely inner ear furnishings.    His eyes are round with gentle oblique setting, looking marginally close together but his pattern tending to exacerbate the problem, good bright green tone.  He is a large & well grown youngster but rather gangly & pubescent at present, good body but still to achieve his full boys muscular hardness, excellent bone his legs & very large paws (like proverbial tree trunks), good length of tail with a good degree of flow to it also.  Coat has good density, still to achieve his full grown up coat, which all adds to the overall junior look, he was most beautifully prepared with a glossy shine to the surface.  Has a tabby spot on his chin, with the tabby also running down his nose with white beneath the cheeks on both sides, the remainder of his chin, chest, tummy & all his legs white, the tabby markings on his body showing excellent degree of contrast & was a sharp definite black to the pattern elements.  His condition was superb, his temperament extremely amicable.  I think a lot of his current problems are hopefully transitional & he should look much improved when he has a degree of maturity to give him finish.

AC Colourpointed or Mitted Ragdoll Neuter;
Considered for & Awarded BOB.  STANTON’S  GR PR AZERPASHAN BOBBY DAZZLER.  66a.  25-04-01.  Blue Colourpointed, firm well grown lad.  Head I would ideally prefer a little broader across the cheeks, quite a well developed muzzle, requiring slightly more evidence of flat plane to the brow, gentle dip in profile, adequate chin, bite good.  Medium size ears, well furnished interiors, pricks a mite on occasion. Eyes quite large, the setting has a gentle oblique slant, the colour requiring more intensity. Body well grown, possessing length, with good boning to the legs, good length bushy tail to balance.  Coat was well prepared & good for length with good full knickerbockers, reasonable degree of ruff.  The body colour is a very attractive cool glacial tone & was unshaded, as a result shows excellent contrast to his points of well matched mid blue albeit a little darker on the ears perhaps.  Quite a relaxed nature, excellent condition.

AC Persian Debutante;
1st  HOWARD’S  FALABELLA MERCIE.  11.  31-03-08.  Black Tortie, very young but perfectly in keeping with her age.  Type is most pleasing, the head rounded with well filled cheeks, very well rounded skull, deep, neat short snub nose, broad muzzle with good depth of chin, bite a little under.  The ears are small & neat, spaced well apart, beautifully feathered interiors.  Eyes have a well rounded shape, could perhaps be a little bolder, the colour a deep orange eye colour.  Body though still quite dainty she is beautifully proportioned & balanced & at only just over 9 months has abundant time to grow on & development, cobby shape, low on the legs, small round paws, full well balanced quite short brush.  Her coat was beautifully prepared & had excellent length & density, lovely full ruff & frill in particular, silky texture.  Her black areas are dense the red patches to be hyper critical could be a little brighter & she has some mingling, legs a little more solid than ideal, but its not an ideal world is it.  She really is a most attractive young lady in excellent condition & her temperament was delightful.

AC Radius Persian Adult;
1st  SLATER’S  CH ZENDIQUE TOUTE SUITE.  70 22a.  24-02-07.  Blue Tortie & White Exotic, very large well boned & substantial girl showing an excellent degree of maturity given her relatively young age.  Head full & well developed, fat face, full cheeks, well rounded skull, marginally heavy brow, deep stop & short snub nose, deep chin, bite a little under & the canines are slightly splayed.  Ears smaller size, well rounded on the tips, fitting well into the head contours, the impression quite neat.  Eyes have a slightly hooded effect despite which they are large & round, with a bold appearance, the colour a pleasing golden orange tone.  Substantial cobby body shape, with good breath to her chest, low on the well boned legs, round paws, well balanced not disproportionately short heavy tail.  Coat has very good density & was well prepared, stands well from the body, not harsh exactly, though it could be a little softer & ideally also livelier as a result.  Clean white with quite large patches of blue which was a slightly darker tone & a fraction unsound, smaller patches of even cream, with a large patch of cream on the face & smaller patch of blue on each cheek, some infringement of white hairs on the lower back required tidying up a little, blue nose leather.  Super temperament, very composed, excellent condition.
2nd  POTTER’S  PRIMISSION BEGUILED.  12a 7.  03-05-07.  Cream Bi-Coloured, huge lad, extremely solid.  Head quite broad  well rounded, cheeks filled out, heavy brow line, good stop, well developed nose leather, good depth chin, unusually a little overshot.  Ears more medium in size & were also a little open at the base, rounded tips, well feathered interiors.  His eyes lost out a little in shape & some degree boldness due the heavy brow line detracting from the roundness, golden orange colour.  Body very heavy cobby build, low the short well boned legs, quite large paws, short brush.  Has q full coat which though generally well prepared there was some old coat present which gave it a slightly harsher feel in places, good ruff & frill.  He has a flash of white on each cheek, with some larger cream patches which though a little hot were impressively free of pattern & virtually sound, the white areas were clean & tidy.  Condition was excellent, very amicable chap.

AC Persian Kitten Not Bred by the Exhibitor;
1st  BROOKES’S  INCAHOOTS SOPHIA MINIME.  10.  19-04-08.  Chinchilla, typy miss, with typical ‘touch me not’ Chinchilla expression.  Lovely face, well rounded, full in the cheeks, nicely rounded skull, short nose, excellent chin, marginal bite.  Wide well set ears, small & tidy, feathered interiors.  Absolutely gorgeous eyes, excellent larger size, completely round, lovely bold appearance, all enhanced by the dark line of pigment round the rims, very good green colour.  Body though relatively dainty was cobby with the legs & paws in proportion to the body, short full brush to her tail.  Coat very good length & with good lift, silky soft texture, still to attain more ruff, but ample time to attain it, well prepared.  Lovely clear white undercoat, as was the chin, chest, tummy & underside of the tail, tipping quite soft albeit not perfectly even, but it has soft shimmering effect to it nonetheless.  Her condition was excellent, pleasing degree of impact due to her confidence.
2nd  HAINES’S  HOITYTOITY AT PICTUREBOOK.  12 2.  27-08-08.  Blue Tortie & White, this girl was extremely unfortunate to be against the more finished Chinchilla, her colour in particular quite lovely.  Head rounding well, with good breadth to her cheeks, round on the skull, deep stop to the short nose, well developed chin, the bite good.  Ears are rounded on the tips & quite small, well furnished, tends to pull down very low on occasion.  Eyes still have the slight droop at the outer edge of the young, just detracting a little from the boldness, good larger size, eye colour still at the muddy stage. Body still slightly long but at her age this is not a problem purely developmental, good legs & paws, bushy quite short tail. Beautifully prepared soft baby coat, with good degree of fullness, still with the typically baby fluffiness.  Lovely clear white with the softest patches of blue & even delicate cream, has alternating rings on the tail of both colours, touch of blue & cream on the chin also.  The blue showing slight amount of temperature marks despite which it was coloured to the roots.  Gentle disposition, wonderful condition, such a lovely colour.
3rd  ANGUS’S  JEMINEVE AO LUK.  12 1.

AC Persian Male Neuter;
1st  FISHER-ALLEN’S  GR PR ZENDIQUE SLEEPLESS KNIGHTS.  70 31t.  29-08-06.  Brown Tabby & White Exotic, a quality exhibit who I have judged on a number of occasions & remain equally impressed each time.  Excellent type & his presentation was superb. His skull rounds well, just slightest rise above the brow, broad rounded head, full cheeks, excellent deep stop & short snub nose, the muzzle well developed & possessing excellent depth of chin, the bite lines up well.  Ears  are beautifully set, small in size & neat & tidy in appearance fitting well into the head contours without any distortion.  Eyes are beautifully bold, being large& fully rounded in shape, the colour bright though could have a slight deeper orange colour.  Body has very good cobby proportions, with good breadth & depth also, low on the well boned legs, round paws, well balanced short tail to balance.  Excelled in coat quality in particular it stood well from the body & was superbly prepared, plush effect & so ‘full of life’ excellent soft texture.  Has a slightly offset flash of white over the nose extending to his muzzle, the white is also on the tummy & chest, with some white on all the paws also.  Good Tabby facial markings, with a well marked ‘M’ on his brow, body pattern is better defined on side than the other, which has some linkage to the spotting, leg bracelet excellent, he has very impressive multi tail rings for its entire length, solid tail tip.  The colour has an excellent degree of warmth & the contrast is sharp & clear against the white.  Wonderful condition & a lad with real presence so beautifully composed.
2nd  TONKS’S  ZENDIQUE TAKE THAT.  70 12a 2t.  20-07-07.  Blue Tabby & White Exotic, a lovely looking youngster who should continue to improve as he matures more fully.  Full face he is impressively well rounded  with full rounded cheeks, good rounding on the brow, deep stop, very short nose, the nose leather has good shape, deep chin, bite very minimally under.  Small neat well placed ears, fitting well into the head shape.  Eyes of lovely deep coppery orange colour, large in size, round shape, well open & bold.  Body still to grow on a little more, but the proportions are all very correct, cobby shape to his body, low on his well proportioned legs & paws, short broad tail.  Coat has very good degree of density, which was also soft in texture possessing a pleasing degree of plushness, combined with a good lively appearance.  High white with small patches of blue Tabby, has a very small spot of Tabby on the shoulder with another on his right thigh, larger patch over his left ear & another  a little smaller over his right eye, excellent tail rings very close together, the blue quite soft but the body patches too small to determine whether his is spotted, but the narrow tail rings indicating he probably is.  His white areas were a sharp sparkling white. Lovely composed temperament, excellent condition.
.
3rd  TONKS’S  GR CH & PR ICEMOOR TORANDOT.  70 31ft.  23-08-06.  Cream Tabby & White Exotic.  Mature well proportioned chap.  Broad cheeks giving a fullness to the face, skull rounds well, good stop, the nose is short with a snub appearance, good muzzle & depth of chin, bite very slightly under.  Ears set quite low, moderately small, slightly wide base. Large well rounded eye shape, which I would have preferred just a little bolder, the colour bright copper orange.  Strong masculine neck, body has good muscular build cobby in shape, strong solid legs, round paws, moderately short heavy tail.   Coat has good softer texture & stands well from the body, quite a good plushness & the density good, just requiring a little more full of life quality.  He has quite a large patch on the left side of his head, smaller on the right with blaze of white separating the two, patch of Tabby pattern on the left side, with some spotting evident, ringed cream tail.  His cream colour warm the contrast between pattern & ground could be a little better, well marked contrast to the pattern areas against the clean white areas.  His condition was excellent & he was a very gentle amicable chap.

2nd  Not Awarded.  3rd  BROWN’S  SILKPAWS CHARISSIMA.  13c 7.
01-04-04.  Cream Pointed Birman, I really hated withholding a 2nd  in side class, but sadly she had a basal tail defect which was confirmed by the Duty Vet.  Still looking very immature for her age & little on the dainty side being finer boned.  Coat requiring more density, rather straggly gauntlets, her colour a hot shade of cream.  Condition was excellent & she has such a sweet nature.

AV SLH Visitors Kitten;  Quality class where I really found it incredibly difficult to separate the 1st 3 all literally deserving of 1st in their own right, I dawdled for ages between 1st & 2nd, the Ragdoll tipping the balance on pure presence, but in all honesty I would have been happy to place in either order.
1st  HAMILTON’S  LADYDOLL  STUDMUFFIN.  66 31a.  27-05-08.  Blue Bi-Coloured Ragdoll, such a handsome looking lad of really excellent type & a lovely degree of presence, selling himself to perfection, with that gentle look that is so essential for a Ragdoll.  Lovely type, possessing width across the cheeks, muzzle well developed, flat plane to the brow with gentle dip to nose, with slight retrousse tip, excellent chin, level bite.  Medium size to the ears which were well set, good inner ear furnishings, gentle forward tilt.  Eyes large, the setting having slight obliqueness, colour whilst not pale could for preference be a little more intense.  Beautifully grown lad, with good bone & substance to his medium length legs, good paws, good length well furnished brush tail.  His coat preparation was excellent, as was the silky texture, the length was developing well, good density, longer on the tummy, has some ruff becoming apparent & very good knickerbockers.  His pattern is just about perfect, gleaming white areas consisting of balanced inverted white blaze, with white chin, chest & tummy, all the legs, white to the line of the body on the back legs, delicate blue tonal body shading, with a little white in places also, the remainder of his mask, ears & tail a soft toned even blue.  Condition was superb, wonderful degree of confidence, quite charming, interesting name conjures some degree of contradiction.
2nd  MLYNEK & HAYWARD’S  MYLWARD MUNCHKIN.  13c 2.  27-06-08.  Blue Pointed Birman, I really, really liked this lad, so close between the two.  Another lad of excellent type, broad medium head, wide at the cheeks, well developed muzzle, brow rounds gently to the slight break in profile, strong tapering chin, level bite.  Medium size to the well set ears, well furnished inners.  Eyes large & almost round in shape, the colour has very good depth of blue.  Body is of good size, medium length well boned legs, short paws, medium length bushy tail.  Beautifully prepared coat, lovely length, slight curl on the tummy, ruff still to come through, good silken texture & the preparation was superb.  Body has excellent glacial tone with as a result excellent contrast to the points, these are extremely well matched & even if a slightly darker shade of blue.  Even gloves to the angle of the paw, boots matched, gauntlets tapering well & ending just below the hocks, pristine white.  He was another kitten whose condition was splendid & a wonderful temperament a real pleasure to handle.
X2nd   HAMILTON’S  FARMHOUSE TIGI TOOTSIE.  66 31at.   16-05-08.  Blue Tabby Bi-Coloured Ragdoll, yet another quality kitten who was a a worthy winner in her own right & though not an easy feat to achieve she had an even better temperament than the previous two exhibits. She has such a sweet gentle look, width across the cheeks, good muzzle, flat plane to the brow, slight dip the nose & pleasing gentle retrousse tip to the nose itself, chin & bite both good.  Ears medium size, well furnished, has he required gentle tilt forward.  Eyes could be marginally larger, very good oblique setting, the blue quite a stunning depth of colour, particularly for a dilute.  Still to attain a little more growth, but the proportions are all in keeping, with good legs & paws, very good bushy tail of excellent length.  Her coat was silky with a pleasing degree of density, well prepared, the length still to come through more fully, not much ruff as yet, good knickerbockers. Very even inverted white ‘V’ on the face, which extends through the chin chest, legs & tummy, up to the line of the body on the back legs, it was clean & bright, good facial tracings on her cheeks, with some marking extending upwards, very good rings on the tail, hint of thumbprints on the ears, the blue pattern elements quite soft, some light body colouring coming through & some white flashes also evident.  Her condition was superb, she has absolutely the most wonderful trusting temperament for which I would willing give her 100% brownie points, if awards were based purely on temperament she would be an Imperial even at her age.
3rd  GILLMAN’S  NAVARRI ONE INAMILLION.  64 41esw. 29-05-08.  Entered as Black Silver Tortie Tabby & White Maine Coon according to her breed number, but the pen card indicating Shaded which would be more in keeping with what she appears to be.

AC SLH Visitors Neuter;
1st  TACKLEY’S  IMP GR CH KLASSYKLOGS KEHLEBEK.  13d.  03-02-04.  Amber Eyed Auburn Turkish Van, an old favourite of mine I have not seen for some time, she has certainly put on some weight since our last encounter.  She has a broad substantial wedge, strong muzzle, very slight break at the bridge of her nose, the nose otherwise straight, good depth chin.  Ears moderately large in size, set quite tall, light furnishings to the shell pink interiors.  Eyes large full oval shape, the colour now faded to eau-de-nil as usually happens with Turkish Vans.  Her body is quite substantial & strong, lovely size, medium length legs, neat paws, good full brush could be a little longer to balance the body proportions.  Impressive soft silky coat with a good degree of fullness & without any woolly undercoat as it should be, well prepared.  Chalk white body with rich well balanced almost symmetrical head markings, of rich auburn, vertical blaze separating the two, white ears, auburn tail with clean demarcation at the base.  Pink rims round the eyes, with shell pink nose leather & paw pads.  Wonderful condition & her temperament much more composed than in her entire days.
 2nd  JONES’S  GR PR COONFLAKES CARA MIA.  64 20.  31-10-05.  Brown Tabby Maine Coon, another lady of very good type & balance jus not quite the stature of the winner.  Her head has generally good shape, just requiring a little more width at the otherwise high cheeks to balance the length more fully, she has a good square muzzle, profile shows slight concave curve in profile, chin has good depth, bite good.  Ears large & set tall & pricked, tufts on the tips, good inner ear furnishings.  Oblique setting the eyes, good size & round shape, very good brightness to the green colour.  Her body has good length & rectangular appearance I would have preferred her to have a little more depth & breadth, good length of leg, tufted paws, very good length to her tail with very good full flowing appearance.  The coat has a good degree of length, well prepared, just requiring a little more density ideally, shaggy tummy, good britches, some ruff, glossy Her pattern elements are very good, well defined facial striations, ‘M’ on the brow, some thumbprints on her ears, lines along her neck, back lines could be more defined, well matched almost complete oysters, clear leg bracelets, tail solid on the surface with some evidence of rings on the underside.  Her ground colour has a pleasing degree of warmth & contrasts well defined as a result, heels well coloured the whole length.  Condition excellent, gave a grumble but without malice or intent.

1st  HAMILTON’S  FARMHOUSE TIGI TOOTSIE.  66 31at.
2nd  STANTON’S  CH RAGADDICT MIAMORIO.  66 31.
 3rd  BROOKES’S  CUSHKA FULLOFTRICKS.  13b 7.  06-07-08.  Cream Colourpointed Persian, I hated placing this lad so low, his presentation was superb, he looked like candy floss on legs, the coat was splendid, very pleasing type, the eye colour just blue enough, very cobby body, excellent bone & substance.  Slightly warm cream points with typically paler front legs.  Wonderfully confident fellow, superb condition, it was almost sacrilegious to touch his coat, literally every hair groomed to perfection.

Non-Pedigree AC Cat or Kitten owned by a Child;
1st  BLACKABY’S  BUTTERFLY.  2 yrs 11 months.  This was a very typical looking non-pedigree hose colour & pattern combination were very attractive.  Clean ears, healthy looking gums.  Lovely eyes, with darker line of colour round the rims, enhancing the green tone.  Body is firm & well proportioned.  Coat was beautifully prepared, high white with smaller patches of Tortie Tabby the white sparkling & the red areas bright giving sharply contrasted colour.  Her condition was super & she was extremely gentle & very composed.

Club Class;
Chinchilla, Silver Tabby & Smoke Cat Society.
AC Exotic Adult;
1st  FISHER’S  CH SHEERBLISS ENCHANTED LAYDEE.  70 36e.  16-10-06.  Tortie Smoke, very attractive girl.  Round face, well developed cheeks, skull rounds well, deep stop, short nose, good depth chin, bite a little under.  Ears are set well apart, rounded tips & beautifully small & neat.  Eyes are large, well open creating a bold appearance, colour a bright coppery tone.  Body whilst not overly large, was well proportioned & cobby, relatively low on the legs, smaller round paws, proportionately short tail to complete.  Her coat has good density & stands well from the body, could be perhaps marginally softer to give it a more full of life quality.  Has quite a good silver undercoat which could be a little further up the hair shaft to give sharper contrast, that said she is clearly what her breed number states, good black patched with red, my preference would have been for a brighter red but there were one or two smaller areas where it was brighter.  Her condition was excellent, such a very gentle & composed nature.

AC NON SELF GRAND PREMIER – MALE:  This class had six wonderful boys with only a hair to separate 1st from 6th.
GR PR to WEATHERLEY'S CH & PR PICWICK RAZZLEDAZZLE (7).  This young man is just under three years of age and in my opinion the best is yet to come.  Smooth round skull and well placed round ears.  Wide nose with break and large hazel eyes when he decides to open them.  Round apple cheeks and acceptable bite.   Huge cobby body covered in a wealth of beautifully groomed silver coat with dense black clear tabby markings free of any tarnishing.  His face shows all his markings and the lines over his head lead to a clear butterfly on his shoulders.   His spine line is apparent as were his matching oysters which look even clearer from a distance.   Necklaces just visible on his very long ruff and matching bracelets on his thick short legs.  The temperament on this lad is amazing if he were any more laid back he would fall of the trolley.   Congratulations to his owner I believe this was his third ticket today.
RES GR PR. to HOW'S CH & PR HOWZAT ICE EDITION (10). Lovely gentle Chinchilla of six and half years of age and a credit to his owner/breeder.  Broad round skull with well placed ears.   His large round eyes were of a beautiful emerald green showing black rims.  His wide nose showed a brick red nose leather with black outline.   Short body covered in a wealth of pure white coat showing the slightest of tipping distributed over his back, flanks and tail. All beautifully groomed and soft to the touch.   Very easy to handle just a little tense today but not a bad bone in his body.
AC NON SELF GRAND PREMIER – FEMALE:
GR PR to WEATHERLEY'S UK GR CH & IGR PR PICWICK MAGGIEMAY. I have very little to add to the reports already made on this beautiful Tortie girl who is now over eight years of age.   She looked in absolutely wonderful condition today her colours bright and her eye colour is still a dense deep copper.   Lovely temperament to match and very many congratulations to Maggiemay and her owner on going Overall Best In Show which is a huge achievement for a Tortie Persian of any age let alone hers.
RES GR PR to MATTHEWS CH & IGR PR VILLIERS WHATAPOPPET (10). Lovely Chinchilla female of three and half years.  Smooth round head and well placed round ears.  Large round emerald green eyes with black surround and wide nose with brick red nose leather.  Round cheeks and even bite.   Long well groomed white coat, feeling just a touch harsh to the touch today, with black tipping evenly distributed over her head, ears, back and flanks.   Her stomach and chest were sparkling white and all were free of any tabby markings.  Touch nervous today not to happy on being handled.
BLUE ADULT – FEMALE:
1 CC & BOB DAVEY'S BRONABA TABITHA (3). Young lady of just sixteen months old who is maturing nicely.  Smooth round skull and well placed round ears.  Short wide nose with break and large round eyes of the deepest copper.  Round apple cheeks and even bite.    Long pale blue coat which is shady at the roots.  Well groomed, just lacked the final finish underneath today.   Lovely temperament and very easy to handle.
CHOCOLATE ADULT – MALE:
1 CC & BOB CONYBEARE'S FRALLON CHOCOLATE BUTTONS (50b).  This young man is two and half years of age and of a good size and build.  Smooth round skull his ears a touch high today.  Round copper eyes and wide nose with break and well formed nose leather and large nostrils.  His coat was short and dark today but I have given him the benefit of the doubt today because of the time of year and hopefully he is doing what a young male boy should be doing.  Sweetest of temperaments and loved the attention.
RED SELF ADULT – MALE:
1 CC & BOB SMITH'S SOUTHKITTY TIGARTIM.  Young Red Male just coming up to twenty months of age and looks very impressive for such a young chap.   Smooth round skull with excellent width between well placed ears.  Large round copper eyes and wide short nose with break.  Round apple cheeks and even bite.  I loved the width of muzzle on this boy and the open wide expression of his overall look.   His coat colour is settling well, he shows dark colour on his head, face and shoulders which gives promise of his future overall colour.   Long coat which did need more finish today.  Very even temperament.  Would love to see him in about 18 months when everything has settled down.
TORTOISESHELL ADULT:
1 CC & BOB HOWARD'S FALABELLA MERCIE.  What a little poppet just old enough to be in her adult class today but not at all worried on being handled.  She has a smooth round head and good distance between her well placed ears.  Short nose with break and large round orange eyes.  Round apple cheeks and even bite.  Her cobby little body was covered in a wealth of well groomed coat which her owner had obviously spent time and trouble over.   Deep black with bright patches of reds distributed throughout and very little kitten grey showing which does help to emphasise the density of colour.  Full ruff and short plume of a tail.  A very confident little girl of good weight and substance.
BROWN/BLUE TABBY ADULT – M:
1 CC & BOB SMITH'S CH SHOU STARLIGHT (8a).  A super Blue Tabby boy just twenty months of age of good weight and substance.  Smooth wide skull showing excellent width between small round ears.  Short wide nose and large round orange eyes.  Fat apple cheeks and even bite.  Very strong and well boned cobby body covered in a well groomed coat which was a lovely combination of beige agouti ground colour with well defined deep blue classic tabby over markings.  There was absolutely no doubt on the colour and pattern of this boy.   He had a super temperament to go with it, I felt he shows great promise for the future.
AC BI-COLOUR ADULT – MALE:
1 CC  POTTER'S  PRIMISSION BEGUILED (12a7).  Young Cream & White boy with good bone and substance.  Smooth wide skull with good width between round ears that are settling well.   Large round copper eyes and short wide nose.  Even bite and strong chin.  Very long white coat with pale cream patches for perfection and to add clarity to the patching I would like to see less old white hairs. Cobby shape and short thick legs good temperament.
There were three lovely cats going for BOB in this section, two male and one female.
BOB to PARKES' GR CH RIASCATZ MAD ABOUTHE BOY (12a1).  Super Black & White lad who was groomed to perfection.  His black ear and full black tail was so clear of white hairs it looked as if they had been painted on.   Wonderful temperament to match a pleasure to handle.
AC BI-COLOUR ADULT – FEMALE:
1 CC POTTER'S PRIMISSION BEDAZZLED (12a7).  Young Cream & White female with a smooth round head and well placed ears.  Round copper eyes and wide snub nose. Long white coat with pale cream patches again a lot of white hairs in the patches which does spoil the appearance.  Sweet temperament and easy to handle.
2  SMITH'S SOUTHKITTY ANGEL LADY (12a2).  Young Blue & White lady with a narrow head and ears yet to settle.  Round copper eyes and even bite.  Very tarnished on her face which sadly happens to Blues and her coat lacked finish today.   Not a happy girl but easy to handle.
TORTOISESHELL COLOURPOINT ADULT:
1 JONES' BRENSHAM RAYOFHOPE (13b6).  Very pretty Tortie Colourpoint girl with a smooth round head and wide nose with break.  Large eyes with colour settling.  She is unfortunately too undershot for me which is why I have withheld the certificate today.  Well groomed coat with minimum shading which is good to see in a Tortie point because I know they do shade up quickly.   Her shades of red showing up well on all her seal points which are developing well.  Sweetest little girl with a super temperament I can tell she is a much loved baby.
BLUE/LILAC TORTIE & WHITE KITTEN:
1 & BOB HAINES HOITYTOITY AT PICTUREBOOK (12 2). Very pretty kitten with a long well groomed white coat with the palest of cream and blue patches.  Short wide nose and large round eyes of muddy brown.  Short Cobby body standing on short fat legs with a tiny plume of a tail to match.
2  THORNBURN'S ALINDAS JUST KISS ME (12 2).  Another very pretty kitten with a smooth head and well placed round ears.   Short wide nose and large round brown eyes. She is a little undershot today, hopefully it will go no further.  Very well groomed sparkling white coat with the palest of blue and cream patches.   Lovely temperament and easy to handle.
EXOTIC SH NON SELF Inc TABBY & WHITE KITTEN – MALE:
1 & BOB TONKS' ZENDIQUE U'VEBEEN TANGOED (70 125t) 9/5/08.  Red Tabby & White.  I judged this young boy when he was just four months old and admired him then.  Today just coming up to eight months old he is maturing beautifully.   Smooth round skull with excellent width between small round ears which are placed well down on the side of his head.  Huge deep copper eyes and short wide nose with break and well formed nose leather.   Round apple cheeks and even bite.   He is developing well over his shoulders and chest with a short thick neck.   Short cobby body covered in a sparkling white thick dense coat which stands out well from his body.  His pale red agouti patches are covered in rich red classic tabby markings which are well distributed over his body, also on his face and head.  Short thick fully coloured tail with several rings.   Colour showing on his short solid legs.   Very confident happy boy and very easy to handle.
2  PEACHEY'S CITOXE WILLOUGHBY (70 8)  28/5/08.  A very handsome seven month old Brown Classic Tabby with a smooth round skull and well placed round ears.   Large round copper eyes and short wide nose.  Round apple cheeks and even bite.   His solid cobby body is covered in a thick dense coat which if full of vitality and is soft to the touch.   His agouti undercoat is a rich brown covered in dense black classic tabby markings.   He shows an M on his forehead and an unbroken line running from the edge of each eye.   Lines run over the top of his head to his well formed butterfly both sides well defined with the central areas showing agouti.   His spine line is thick at the moment and showing very little separation between the side lines.  His oysters are very apparent on each side showing several unbroken rings.   The necklaces on his neck are showing as are his matching bracelets on his short legs.   The warm brown abdomen shows black spots.  Short thick tail with black rings and black tip.  Very well behaved boy who when he relaxed looked better out of his pen than in where he was looking a little tense and screwing up his eyes.  Good size for his age.
3 CLARK'S SHEERBLISS FERNANDO (70 7) 26/7/08.  Sweetest little Black Classic Silver Tabby boy just over five months of age.   With a smooth round skull his round ears just a little open today.   Large round dense copper eyes and short wide nose with brick red nose leather.  Round apple cheeks unfortunately today he is undershot (confirmed by the Duty Vet) and also tipping his tongue.  Thick dense silver coat full of life and vitality standing out well from his cobby body with well defined black classic tabby markings.  He has an M on his forehead and unbroken lines from the edge of each eye and narrow lines on his cheeks.   There is a thumb print to each ear and unbroken lines running over the top of his head to the shoulders where he has a well defined butterfly.  Unbroken spine line down to his tail with a parallel stripe on either side separated by silver ground colour.   Matching oysters on each flank with surround rings. Several necklaces on his neck and matching bracelets on each leg.   Short tail with several rings and black to end.   Silver abdomen with black spots.   Solid little chap and sweetest of temperaments.

1 BROWN-PERCIVAL SANDIMAN FASHION (70 12a1t) 21/5/08. Lovely female Brown Tabby & White of just over seven months of age and developing well.  Smooth wide skull and tiny well placed round ears.  Huge round copper eyes and short wide nose with break. Round apple cheeks and wide even bite.   Short thick dense sparkling white coat soft in texture and standing out well from her short cobby body.    Her warm sable agouti ground patches were covered in dense black tabby markings well distributed over her body, face and head.  Fully coloured short thick tail with rings.  Standing solid on short legs.  Delightful girl very confident and full of herself.
2 FISHER'S OWLETTS MOONFLOWER (70 10) 12/9/08. Very pretty Black Tipped baby just under four months of age with the most expressive large round emerald green eyes beautifully outlined in black.    Smooth round head and good width between small round ears.  Wide nose with break and well formed brick red nose leather.  Round cheeks and wide even bite.   Her well boned short cobby body was covered in a thick dense silver white coat that was soft and plush standing out well from her body.  Her black tipping was evenly distributed over her head and ears down her back and flanks through to the tip of her tail.  She really did sparkle.  The chin, chest and stomach were silvery white as was the underside of her tail.   Her short legs showed the slightest of shading.   Lovely size to this baby and she was very confident.  Sweet lass with a super temperament to match.
