2nd   MRS J PLANT MARLEESH FAITH, (70 52) a sweet Black Tipped Female Kitten with an  open type face, born 17.09.2008, Well placed open at the base and nicely furnished ears.  Round two toned green eyes that are still developing in colour, she has ample cheeks, acceptable bite and firm muzzle.  Her frame is petite, sturdy legs with rounded paws and a thick tail, well groomed silky textured silvery white coat standing way from her body, but needing a wee bit more density for perfection with light even tipping. I think this lady should be a (70 10) and judged her as black tipped female kitten. She is just a wee baby with lots of growing to do.

A.C. RADIUS KITTENS, FEMALE

1st MRS P MALLBONE FINCHFIELD FLOOSIE, See Earlier write up.

A.C. NON-SELF KITTEN, MALE

1st MRS K MITCHELL, SLINKYPAWS BUDDY LOVE, (70 9) Red Tabby Male Kitten, born 09.09.2008.  Round top of head with neat round tipped and nicely furnished ears, round bold expressive orange eyes, snub nose, acceptable bite and firm chin.  His body is in proportion with strong legs and rounded paws, covered by a well prepared soft in texture coat that is standing away from his body of bright apricot ground colour overlaid with rich well defined red tabby markings down to his thick ring tail.

2nd MRS N DAVIES, MIDLANDER QUICKSILVER (70 7), Black Silver Tabby Male Kitten, born 06.08.2008.  However, I think he looks more like a cold brown mackerel tabby in appearance.  He has a good top of head, neat well placed ears with good furnishings, round good orange eyes, snub nose, acceptable bite and a firm chin.  Large framed body with strong legs and rounded paws, covered by a well groomed coat that is standing away from his body but could have more density for perfection down to his thick ringed tail. However, in my opinion, he is either heavily tarnished or a silver brown tabby as it appears cool brown evenly distributed through out his coat although we don’t have a standard or number for this one and I have only once seen a coat like this the USA a few years ago.

Mrs A Gregory

A really enjoyable show with some gorgeous Exotics entered making judging a real challenge. I would like to thank Shelagh, Kit and the Committee for the kind invitation, I thoroughly enjoyed myself handling such gorgeous examples of the breed. I would also like to give a huge “Thank You” to Kim Board-Allam who came along to steward for me and steered me through a very busy day.
IMPERIAL GRAND CHAMPION, FEMALE
1 IGC BARRETT’S GR CH FINCHFIELD GEORGIEGIRL, 70 1, F, 20.8.2007
A beautiful female of excellent type and style. The head showed excellent breadth and balance to the skull with rounded contours. Small ears, rounded at the tips were set wide apart and low on the head. Full cheeks and muzzle. The forehead was rounded with a short nose of uniform width and full nostrils. Strong chin and good bite. Excellent eyes that were large, full and round. The colour was a bright copper and her expression was bold. Excellent size to the body, she was solid and muscular with cobby type. She stood low on short, thick legs with large, round, firm paws. Short tail that was thick and rounded at the tip and in proportion to the body. Superb coat that was presented to perfection! It was dense, soft and plush. Glossy dense black and virtually sound. Shown in excellent condition and with a confident, affectionate temperament. Very well worthy of this highest award as she was an exceptional Exotic.
AC NON-SELF CHAMPION EXOTIC, MALE
1 GCC BROWN-PERCIVAL’S GR CH SANDIMAN SCOUNDRAL, 70 31T, M, 12.10.2005
A strong, masculine male of excellent type and balance. Massive head, well rounded and showing good breadth to the skull. Neat ears set wide apart and low  so they fitted well into the rounded contours of the head. Large eyes of excellent deep orange with a bold confident expression. Full cheeks and muzzle. Short, broad nose of even width with a stop and good leather. Good bite and firm chin. Short, thick neck. Massive shoulders, broad, deep chest with a strong, cobby body. Short, sturdy legs and large, round paws. Short tail that balanced well. Excellent coat quality; it was dense and plush with a soft texture and stood away well from the body. Well marked with snowy white. The tabby showed a definite mackerel pattern with a warm agouti ground and well defined black markings. White chevron to the face with a white bib and underparts. He had a tabby saddle and the fur was really glossy. Excellent tail rings. Beautifully shown in excellent condition and with an excellent temperament.
AC SELF EXOTIC PREMIER, MALE
1 GPR MALLABONE’S GR CH & PR FINCHFIELD DEVILINDISGUISE, 70 1, MN, 20.8.2007
A younger male with excellent type and style. The head was well rounded, with breadth of skull, full cheeks and muzzle. The ears were small, rounded at the tips and set wide apart in the contours of the head. The forehead was rounded; short, broad nose with a stop. Good chin. Excellent eyes of deepest orange; they were large, full and round with a bold expression. Cobby and muscular with a very good body, legs and tail. The xoat was dense, soft to the touch and plush. It stood out from the body well apart from the back. It was an excellent jet black and virtually sound. Well presented in excellent condition and with a sweet temperament.
AC SELF ADULT MALE
1 CC WYATT’S CH AMZENI EYESTOTHELEFT, 70 1, M, 16.2.2007
Another stunning Exotic who was looking really good. He is coming up to his prime and was large, solid and cobby with excellent muscle tone and strong bone. The head was round and massive with good breadth and balance to the skull. The ears were neat, rounded at the tips and set wide apart and low on the head fitting well into the rounded contours. Excellent eyes that were large, full and round; the colour was a deep orange and the expression bold. Short, broad nose of uniform width with full leather and nostrils. Good bite and strong chin. Massive across the shoulders and rump and he had a broad, deep chest. Sturdy legs. Short tail that gave overall balance. Excellent coat that was beautifully presented. It stood out from the body well and was dense and soft with a plush feel. Good black though slightly paler at the roots. Excellent condition and a delightful temperament.
AC ADULT NOT HAVING WON A CC, MALE
1 TONKS’ ZENDIQUE U’VEBEEN TANGOED, 70 12a5t, M, 9.5.2008
A really promising male of excellent type and conformation. Excellent face with really large, expressive eyes of deep orange. Cobby and solid with overall style and balance. Excellent coat quality and he was presented beautifully. Lovely balance of red tabby and white. The red tabby patches showed he had a good classic pattern. Excellent condition and a confident, friendly personality.
2 WALLACE’S SHARISHIMA BILLY BOB, 70 12a5, M, 3.4.2008
Another young male of very promising type and quality. He had the breadth and balance to the head and expressive eyes. Cobby and strong with solid muscle and very good boning. The coat was dense and plush with a soft texture. Good balance of red and white but the red patches showed heavy tabby markings on an agouti ground rather than the “ghost” tabby I would expect on a red.
3 BAILEY-READ’S BRONJOY BLASE GAMES MASTER, 70 9, M, 1.6.2008
AC KITTEN NOT BRED BY EXHIBITOR, MALE
1 MITCHELL’S MIDLANDER QUICKSILVER, 70 7, M, 6.8.2008
This kitten had really good type, conformation, size and muscle; he also had good coat quality and had been presented well so that the soft, dense coat stood out well from the body. However, he did show his tongue most of the time and I had real problems with his colour. When he was in the pen, he appeared a cold, brown tabby but when he came out it was clear to see he was a very, very  poor silver with extremely heavy tarnish. I was considering withholding the first prize in this class, but he was supporting the show and had been presented very well. Excellent condition and temperament.
AC KITTEN NOT BRED BY EXHIBITOR, FEMALE
1 PLANT’S MARLEESH FAITH, 70 52, F, 17.9.2008
A very sweet kitten with a delightful personality. Good type and balance overall, I felt she has some promise. However, I thought she should have been a 70 10 rather than a 70 52, as her nose leather is a pale brick tone rather than black and her eyes, in the excellent available light looked green? She was in excellent condition, the best exhibit in this class and had clearly won her Open Class so I felt it would have been rather harsh to “Wrong Pattern” her.
2 BOND’S MOONWALKERS PRUDENCE, 70 12 1, F, 21.11.2008
Another delightful kitten who was thoroughly enjoying her day at the show; she was confident and showed herself well. Good type and balance although I thought her eyes were slightly deep set. The coat was soft in texture but rather flat and needed more density to lift it away from the body. Pleasing tortie and white pattern although there were a few scattered hairs. Excellent condition and temperament.
3 MALLABONE’S FINCHFIELD FLOOSIE, 70 7 30, FN, 28.8.2008
AC VISITORS KITTEN, FEMALE
1 PROWSE’S SUPURRNOCA PEARLSA SINGER, 70 12a1t, F, 15.7.2008
A very attractive kitten, presented to perfection and who was of excellent size, muscle and bone for her age. Very good head with breadth and balance. The eyes were large, round and expressive but could be deeper in colour. Bold expression. Very good body, legs and tail. Excellent coat quality, it was plush to the touch, dense and soft. The white was immaculate and the tabby patches well placed which made her look so attractive. Excellent condition and temperament.
2 BARRETT’S FINCHFIELD FAIRYTALE, 70 7, F, 28.8.2008
A very promising kitten of excellent type and balance overall. Lovely face and expression with large, round eyes. There was a tiny bump to the head and I hope that evens out as she develops. Excellent body, legs and tail. The coat was dense, plush and soft. Lovely pattern developing, it should be excellent as she matures. Excellent condition and temperament.
3 BOND’S MOONWALKERS PRUDENCE, 70 12 1, F, 21.11.2008
AC EXOTIC KITTEN WHERE BOTH PARENTS ARE EXOTICS
1 MITCHELL’S SLINKYPAWS BUDDY LOVE, 70 9, M, 9.9.2008
A well grown kitten with muscle and substance. Broad head with rounded contours and ears set well apart. The eyes were an excellent rich copper colour but a little deep set. Cobby body with sturdy legs and a good tail to balance. The coat was soft to the touch but a little flat, needing more density to lift it away from the body. Deep, rich red markings and a very good classic pattern. Excellent temperament and shown in sparkling condition.
AC NOT HAVING WON A PC NEUTER
1 TONKS’ GR CH ZENDIQUE ATZAR ISBORN, 70 30 8a, MN, 28.9.2007
A gorgeous teddy bear of a cat who knows how to show himself to perfection! Beautifully presented with a wonderful coat that was absolutely as described in the SOP! Excellent type and a lovely head with large, expressive eyes. Cobby and strong with excellent muscle and boning. Pleasing warmth to the agouti ground and good spotting. Excellent condition and temperament.
AC NEUTER NOT BRED BY EXHIBITOR
1 FISHER-ALLEN’S GR PR ZENDIQUE SLEEPLESS KNIGHTS, 70 31t, MN, 29.8.2006
A wonderful Exotic with all the style, confidence and charm that makes this breed such a pleasure to judge. Exceptional type and quality with the most wonderful large, round orange eyes that were so expressive! The head was massive with rounded contours and beautifully balanced. Excellent cobby body with strong legs and a super tail to give final balance. Outstanding coat quality, it was just a pleasure to bury your fingers in its density. Wonderful mackerel pattern to the tabby which provided such a pleasing contrast with the snowy white. I was delighted to find out he has now gained his fifth Imperial and was later a well deserved Best Exhibit – many congratulations!
2 TONKS PR ZENDIQUE TAKE THAT, 70 12a2t, MN, 20.7.2007
Another handsome cat, unlucky to meet the winner. Very good type and balance overall with a good head showing breadth of skull. I felt he needed a shorter, thicker neck as his ears, although reasonably small and rounded at the tips seemed “exposed”. Lovely eyes and expression. Cobby body with good muscle and bone. Short, thick legs and large, round paws. Tail balanced. Very nice coat that stood away from the body. The blue tabby was dark but the white was immaculate. Excellent temperament and condition.
3 ILLSLEY PR MOONWALKERS SONNYDAZE, 70 31F, MN, 10.3.2006.
AC NON-SELF NEUTER
1 FISHER-ALLEN’S GR PR ZENDIQUE SLEEPLESS KNIGHTS, 70 31t, MN, 29.8.2006
2 HOOTON’S IMP GR PR KHANATE GALANDORA, 70 31, FN, 30.6.2004
An impressive female neuter who was very unlucky to meet the winter, she had lovely type and expression. Excellent head and large, very expressive eyes of deep orange with a bold expression. Neat ears set well apart and low in the contours of the head. Full cheeks and muzzle. Rounded forehead; short, broad nose with a good leather and nostrils. Cobby body with very good legs and tail. Dense coat that was soft and plush to the touch. Dense black that was virtually sound with pristine white. Excellent condition and temperament.
3 ILLSLEY’S GR PR KITTYVILLE MAK USHLA, 70 22, FN, 28.10.2003
BIRGITTE SOLSTEIN MEMORIAL CLASS, AC KITTEN
1 BARRETT’S FINCHFIELD FASHIONISTA, 70 7, F, 28.8.2008
I was delighted to award the first prize to this beautiful kitten, Birgitte would have loved her! She had really good type and expression and is very promising. Excellent head with breadth of skull and neat ears that were set well apart and low on the head. The forehead was rounded; she had a short, broad nose with a brick leather that was fully formed. Full cheeks and muzzle. Strong chin and good bite. Cobby little body with a broad chest. She stood low on sturdy legs and large, round paws. Short tail that gave the final balance. Promising coat with density and a soft texture. Excellent classic pattern against a good silver agouti ground. Excellent condition and temperament.

Mrs P Rogers

Many thanks to Shelagh and the Committee for the invitation, what a very happy and well organised Show and to make the day complete the sun shone so made a great journey there and back home.  As to my steward Jo Clements, what can I say, good company and so well organised and most of all loved all the cats.  In fact I was a little worried and checked her handbag before we left.

AC NON-SELF KITTEN (5-7 months) MALE
1st MITCHELL'S SLINKYPAWS BUDDY LOVE (70 9) 9/9/08 Sweet well grown Red Tabby boy of good type.  Just seven months old today, dreadful age for a kitten, but he is maturing well.   Round smooth forehead with adequate width between his ears which are held high today.    Rounds eyes of copper and a short wide nose with well developed brick red nose leather.  Apple cheeks and wide even bite.  Solid cobby body covered in a thick dense coat which felt very soft so consequently laid a little flat on his body.  His red agouti ground was even and contrasted well with his rich red classic tabby markings.   His face showed an unbroken stripe from the corner or each eye and a slightly paler red chin.  The M on his forehead was clear with the lines running over the top of his head to the shoulders where the outline of a butterfly is becoming apparent with the wings starting to clear and show contrasts.   He has a thick solid spine line running down his back to his tail with no parallel lines at present.   Matching oysters are present on both flanks surrounded by unbroken rings.  His short tail also shows rings with a rich red tip.   His short neck and chest show unbroken necklaces, and his legs show bracelets down to his toes which are spotted.  Very promising young boy who was full of confidence and very talkative.  I did manage to speaker to his owner today who is a first time exhibitor.  We went through my critique together and I did convince her not to use conditioner on his coat in future.
2nd  DAVIES' MIDLANDER QUICKSILVER (70 7) 6/8/08 Large seven month old Silver Mackerel Tabby boy showing good type.  Round broad skull with good width between well
placed small ears.  Huge round eyes of deep copper and fat apple cheeks.  Short nose with deep break and well formed black nose leather.  Unfortunately he is very undershot for such a young chap and is tipping his tounge.  Strong chin and short thick neck leading down to his deep chest.  Short thick dense coat standing out well from his body I would have preferred his undercoat to be a lighter silver colour but his black mackerel tabby markings were very strong and clear.  He had an M on his forehead and unbroken lines leading from the corner of each eye.  Lines over the top of his head leading down to a clear butterfly on his shoulders showing clear wings with contrasting centres.  The outside of his ears showing black with a clear central thumb print.   Strong unbroken spine line with matching parallel lines with numerous vertical lines running down his body.  Short tail with numerous narrow rings and narrow necklace lines around his neck and chest.  Short thick legs showing bracelets.  Well boned cobby boy with a super temperament and in good condition.

AC NON-SELF KITTEN (5-7 Months) FEMALE
1st PLANT'S MARLEESH FAITH (70 52) 17/9/08 Seven month old Tipped female who is at a plain stage at the moment.  Smooth round head with ears set high on her head.  Nose of medium length showing a break and brick red nose leather.  Her round eyes were blue-green not yet settled into adult shade.  Acceptable bite but narrow across her muzzle.  Super short thick dense clear silver undercoat with light tipping well distributed over her body and flanks and clear of any tabby markings showing just a few ghost rings on her tail.   Well grown lass with a sweet temperament.  I know Silvers take a little longer to mature but I do feel this little girl has a long way to go and wonder if she will make the grade as a show cat.

AC NON-SELF ADULT, MALE
1st GRAY'S ONNYDALE DREAMLOVER  (70 8) 24/4/07 Mature Mackerel Tabby boy just over two years of age.  Smooth broad head with well placed neat round ears.  Large round eyes of rich copper and apple cheeks.  Even bite and strong chin with wide short nose with break and brick nose leather.   Thick short neck leading to a deep broad chest.  A solid muscular boy covered in a thick dense coat although he was in a heavy moult today.   Rich copper brown agouti which shows his black mackerel tabby pattern off.   He has an M on his forehead and unbroken lines running from the edge of each eye with just a slightly paler chin. The lines running over the top of his head down to his butterfly were broken.  His shoulder markings are well defined with both upper and lower rings evident.   The spine line is solid until near the base when the pattern begins to breakup.  His parallel lines are broken and there are numerous narrow vertical lines running down the body some of which are broken.     The short thick tail is covered in numerous rings the tip of which is black.  He has narrow necklace lines and several rings on his short legs.  Lovely boy and so easy to handle I felt his tabby markings need more definition for perfection.
