This is one of my favourite Breed Shows, the atmosphere is second to none, with the show management team and committee working together happily and efficiently, the lunch as always was excellent. Bill Holdsworth was my steward for the day, it was the first time he has stewarded for me and he did an excellent job, I hope we can do it again sometime.
OPEN CLASSES
A.C. Siamese Balinese Grand Premier Male
IMP GD PC - Lee’s CH & GD PR SHIMILEETA ROCKYBILBAYOU (32/1) 27/06/03. An elegant and stylish neuter boy. Long but well balanced wedge with very good top of head and large nicely flared ears set in line. Lovely eyes, very good shape and set with sweet expression and excellent depth of blue. Strong profile and firm chin, bite a little untidy with the odd incisor missing, he also has a marginal occipital bump. Body long and slender but well covered, long elegant limbs, tail a little short for balance. Dark seal tabby markings, showing large clear thumb prints, single cheek ribbons, clear narrow banded bracelets and well ringed tail. This boy has excellent contrast for a seal tabby of this age, with only minimal light warm shading overall. Coat length and texture excellent. Very gentle natured. Excellently presented.
A.C. Siamese/Balinese Grand Champion Female
1st GD CC w/h – Linklater’s CH PLEZETOBE PUREANSIMPLE (24n) 18/04/07. Neat and dainty little queen, quite stylish with well balanced medium length wedge and large ears set well. Oriental eye shape and set with very good colour. Almost straight profile and firm-ish chin with clean level bite. Long dainty body that was deceptively weighty - there was a good deal more substance to her than was first apparent, long dainty limbs, whippy tail almost balances. Points colour rather ambiguous, for me she is too pretty a colour for a caramel, albeit lilac based, there is a hint of fawn/brown under the feet but there is little indication elsewhere that she is indeed caramel. Because she is still young I gave her the benefit of the doubt today, but a GD certificate was out of the question. Coat length good, texture a touch fine and soft. Handled very well. Excellently presented.
2nd – R w/h – Corby & Dolan’s CH IKISHIROO KIA JAM (24c) 11/10/05. Another neat little queen, type good. Medium length wedge with good top of head, ears of good size and set. Almond shaped eyes, setting good, colour could be marginally deeper. Good profile and chin, bite slightly untidy but level. Good length to firm toned body, slender limbs and neat paws, tapered tail needs an inch to balance. Points colour good with some pinkish tone evident. Almost clear warm magnolia coat with excellent sleek texture. The sweetest temperament, purred throughout. Excellently presented.
An excellent selection of Seal kittens – not easy to sort out and all of sufficient quality for a 1st & BOB, it really was very close between all of them for the BOB.
Seal Point Siamese Male Kitten (under 6 months)
1st – Hall’s FURRYFACE BURLINGTON BERTIE 26/12/08. A gorgeous little baby, very promising indeed, a little bit diddy as yet but he was well covered and weighty for his size. Typy head with huge bat ears. Good shape and set to eyes, colour deep but lacks brilliance at present. Baby dips to profile over nose and above brow line that should straighten as he grows, good firm chin, tiny incisors just about showing but bite meets. Firm and solid little body of promising length, dainty limbs and teeny paws with string like tail to balance. Seal points very chocolatey in tone at the moment, hopefully this indicates he will have good warm seal points when adult. Muddy toned coat that was long fine and baby fluffy. The dearest little person, very self assured for such a young mite. Beautifully presented.
Seal Point Siamese Female Kitten (under 6 months)
1st & BOB – Rehman’s MUN ISIS 29/12/08. I really liked the style of this extremely promising baby. Shorter head at present with very good top and huge flyaway ears. Excellent shape and set to eyes with deep brilliant colour. Profile a touch baby uneven at present, super firm chin and level bite. Long dainty and firm little body, spidery limbs and neat spoon paws, tail long and whippy. Dense seal points, perhaps a little cool on tone. Soft fine baby coat, still clearing muddy kitten tones. Another confident baby, beautifully presented.
Seal Point Siamese Male Kitten (6 – 9 months)
1st – Knowlson’s DRESTOTHRIL DIOR BY DESIGN 26/09/08. Lovely kitten, somewhat shy and retiring, and hiding himself under his blanket. By the afternoon he was strutting about as if he owned the place and looked a different kitten entirely. Well grown and of lovely type with strong head and very good top line, ears very large and excellently set. Oriental eye shape and set with brilliant colour. Good profile and chin with level bite, marginal pinch to muzzle. Well developed and firm toned body of very good length, long limbs and long whip to balance. Dark dense seal points. Lightly shaded creamy fawn coat of very good length and texture. Beautifully presented.
Seal Point Siamese Female Kitten (6 - 9 months)
1st – Knowlson’s DRESTOTHRIL DOMINATRIX 26/09/08. Litter sister to the previous kitten, quite similar to him in many ways, also very well grown and well developed. Very good head with excellent ear size and set. Good profile and chin with level bite. Excellent substance and tone to body of very good length, long dainty limbs and super long tail to balance. Dense seal points. Creamy coat of very good texture, lightly shaded to tone. Excellent to handle and beautifully presented.
2nd – Evans’ FLUTTERBY FUN TIME GAL 11/10/08. A stylish babe, perhaps a touch dainty for 6 months. Good head type with wide top and large nicely flared ears very well set. Almond shape to eyes, tending to widen them a touch today, depth of colour very good. Almost straight profile, chin could be deeper but bite level. Long and slender body that was deceptively weighty, dainty limbs and long whip tail to balance. Good seal points developing, pale fawn coat of super sleek texture, lightly shaded overall. Rather shy but sweet tempered, excellently presented.
Chocolate Point Siamese Kitten (under 6 months)
1st & BOB – PLEZETOBE PAPER CHASER 06/12/08. Attractive baby of good type. Nicely balanced little head with very good top line and good sized well flared ears set to follow. Oriental shape to eyes, rather straight set at present, colour very good. Almost straight profile, chin could be marginally deeper, bite level. Firm and really solid little body of good length, dainty limbs, whip tail needs an inch to balance and has a small “pip” at the tip. Darker but warm toned chocolate points, un-shaded ivory coat of good close texture. A dear baby excellently presented.
Seal Point Siamese Neuter Male
PC & BOB – Copeland’s PR FLOWERDEW GTEXPECTATIONS 02/02/08. Beautiful boy, extremely stylish and well balanced overall. Excellent head type with wide top line and large wide base ears set in line with the wedge. Snooty expression to eyes of oriental shape and set, to nit pick the colour could be deeper. Straight profile and firm chin with level bite. Excellent length and substance to body that was elegant yet weighty, long limbs and long tail to balance. Dense seal points with good warmth of tone, front paws paler. Good length and texture to pale fawn coat with medium shading overall. Super to handle and beautifully presented.
2nd – Rycraft’s DRESTOTHRIL THEODORE 03/06/06. A great big chap of good type. Longer wedge with goodish top line, ears large and set to follow. Oval shaped eyes well set with mid blue colour. Profile a touch uneven with slight bump between the eyes, chin strong and bite level. Long very substantial body with long strong limbs and oval paws, tail well tapered but needs an inch to balance. Excellent warm toned dense seal points, pale fawn coat quite heavily shaded overall, - has a few what looked like white hairs in the groin area. Slightly shy but handle okay. Excellently presented.
Seal Point Siamese Neuter Female
PC – Miles’ REYNARDS RUBY TUESDAY 19/04/06. A big strong girl of very good type. She is a touch longer in the nose than ideal and could be finer in the muzzle, and this is accentuated somewhat by a pinch, nevertheless the overall effect is quite stylish. Good eye shape set and colour. Slight dip to nose, chin acceptable, bite has just the one lower incisor remaining but looks reasonably level. Very good length and substance to body, long strong limbs for a female, tail needs a touch more length for balance. Very dark dense seal points with some warmth of tone evident. Very good length and close lying texture to coat with medium shading overall. Excellent to handle and excellently presented.
Cream Point Siamese Neuter Male
PC & BOB – Webster’s PR STENIC RIKKI TIKKI TARVI 11/11/06. A handsome lad of stylish type. Broad medium wedge with very good top of head and large wide based ears set to follow. Oriental eye shape and set, colour could ideally be a little deeper. Good profile and chin with level bite. Body long and elegant with very good weight and tone for a neuter, long limbs and spoon paws, tail needs a touch more length to balance. Points colour dark and rather warm in tone for a cream, bordering on apricot but does not quite have the peachy overtones of same. Excellent coat for length and texture, beautifully sleek and close, shaded overall to tone. Super temperament, purred throughout, bless him. Excellently presented.

A.C. Maiden Adult M or F
1st – Palmer’s STYPERSON TOP DRAWER (32/1) F 01/07/08. I do love the type size and style of this gorgeous lady, and when she holds her ears correctly she is almost perfect. 2nd – Lloyd’s SEIDO SHULAMITE (24) F 01/07/07. A dainty and stylish little queen. Points colour good but a touch patchy today with “specs” under her eyes, and the eye colour could ideally be deeper for a seal. Excellent length whip tail.

Great show Alice, my sincere thanks to you for inviting me, and making my visit to your new show hall so enjoyable. There were lots of little Easter touches around the hall, and Easter eggs for all the exhibitors - the whole committee are to be congratulated – a true team effort. Lunch was simply superb – the mountain of fabulous food put on the table by Derek & Maureen Atkinson had to be seen to be believed. I was very grateful to Norma Palmer for agreeing to don her white coat for the day – your hard work and excellent company were much appreciated Norma, and all the cats responded very well to your gentle and caring handling skills – I do hope there will be another opportunity to work together at some time.

CARAMEL POINT SIAMESE ADULT FEMALE.
Entered for BOB only but not awarded, LINKLATER’S CH PLEZETOBE PUREANSIMPLE. 18.4.07. A dainty fine boned girl of quite good type, but for me not quite up to CC standard and therefore I was unable to award her BOB. Mid length pinched wedge head with ears of average size held a little high and requiring more width to the base. Near straight profile, just a small bump over the bridge – her chin needs a touch more depth and slopes away, but the bite was level. Very good oriental shape and set to her eyes – lovely dark brilliant blue colour. Long slender body and neckline with slim legs and fine whip tail. Her points I presume to be lilac based but this hall did have excellent daylight and at her age I would have expected a little more definite evidence of brownish overtone to the points. Body clear of shading, her coat of very good close texture. Presentation and temperament both excellent.
RED POINT SIAMESE NEUTER.
PC & BOB, WEBSTER’S PR NANPEMA RED RUMBA. 14.2.08. Elegant boy of good overall type. Mid length wedge head with large well set ears. Very good profile with a firm chin and level bite. Excellent oriental shape and set to his eyes of clear bright blue. Long well muscled body and neckline, long strong legs, whip tail a little short for balance. Pale red points. Warm white virtually un-shaded body – very good contrast – his coat a touch long but close lying and of good texture. Very gentle temperament, beautifully presented.

Long elegant body and neckline, firm and well muscled but still to gain the really hard feel of the mature male. Long legs, whip tail. Points bright red/gold. Un-shaded warm white body, his coat a little long but of good texture.
2 MEEKINGS’S GR CH FIROUSI FREEDSPIRIT. (32c) F 26.3.03. Cream Point Siamese. Lovely girl, have handled her quite recently, my comments are little changed. Strong even wedge head, strong profile, chin could be firmer, bite just ok. Ears large, wide based, beautifully set and flared. Oriental eyes need a touch more intensity – lovely expression though. Long firm body, slim legs, good whip tail. Wonderful soft powder points. Creamy white body, coat slightly long but of very good texture.

2 KNOWLSON’S DRETOTHRIL DIOR BY DESIGN. (24) M 26.9.08. Seal Point. Well grown baby, just a touch un-balanced at the moment, his head needing to catch up with his body development. Good strength to long wedge head with large open based and well set ears. Profile a little uneven, firm chin, level bite. Eyes of good oriental shape and set, need a touch more depth and intensity. Long very well developed body with long legs and a long fine whip tail. Points very dark, well matched. Lightly shaded body. Good texture to close lying coat.

SEAL POINT SIAMESE ADULT MALE
1 CC and BOB UNDERHILL’S ADATEAN ANTAEUS 11 months. Impressively grown young man with a few minor problems but deserving of a cc on the day. Long wedge with small pinch, ears of good size and well set, eyes are of correct shape and set, bright in tone but needing a greater intensity of colour, profile almost straight, chin falls away although bite ok, long neck and long firmly muscled body of excellent growth, tail rather thick although of balancing length, stands tall on lengthy slender legs. Points warm dark seal and his coat gives excellent contrast. Coat of good length although touch dry to the feel. Congratulations on Best Male Adult.
SEAL POINT SIAMESE ADULT FEMALE
1 (CC w/h) LLOYD’S SEIDO SHULAMITE 1year 9 months Rather fine and lacking substance for her age Medium wedge with small depression evident, ears could be larger although they are reasonably ell set, eyes of good shape – she was favouring the right a little – but slightly deep set, of a good depth of blue, profile almost straight, chin could be stronger and the bite is just over body of fair length lacking muscle tone at present – I understand she had been honeymooning which is probably the reason ? Fine whip and legs. Points of warm seal - touch brindled to eyes – with good contrast to body. Coat long and dry to the feel – once again possibly hormonal.
BLUE POINT SIAMESE ADULT FEMALE
1 (CC and BOB w/h) FOSTER AND FOSTER’S BOSSKIP LOTTIE 1 year 2 months. Youngster of fair type , medium wedge with pronounced pinch, ears are of good size but set close and held high small dip to profile, eyes rather full in shape, good depth of blue but showing a squint to both eyes unfortunately, good chin just a little too narrow and the bite ok, long fine body – slight dip evident behind shoulder blades, whip tail that needs an inch, fine legs. Points are of a reasonably good silvery blue although there was some fawning to the body. Coat of very good texture and length.
The following 2 Classes were of excellent quality where any of the kittens would be worthy of a BOB – a pleasure for a Judge believe me!
TABBY POINT SIAMESE KITTEN MALE
1 HOLDSWORTH’S BILLSTES EL SOL REY (32/5) 5 months Well gown lengthy and stylish red tabby lad, long wedge with large open based ears that he does tend to hold forward at times, excellent eye shape and colour – a delight to see – straight profile with tiny pinch, good chin and level bite, lengthy neck and firm extra long body, long fine whip and long slender legs. Points of a pleasing bright red/gold, he is lacking a little in tabby markings – which of course he may not be! – With no thumbprints, M well etched and very faint bracelets, tail shows good ringing – but then it would as a red point! His coat bright white unshaded and coat of excellent length and texture. Very confident young man.
W/COL - BILLSTES THE BARON Litter brother as it turned out although very different – unfortunately entered as Apricot but is clearly Red. Smaller in stature and a bit ‘girly’ looking as yet however that said his wedge was lovely ,short and even with good topline and firm straight profile and depth of chin, oriental eyes of a good depth of blue, clean bite, slightly short and lightweight to the body as yet and the tail also needs another 1”.Points of a paler slightly patchy tone – thumbprints evident to him though and a clear red gold M and once again faint bracelets, tail well ringed, bright hocks, unshaded coat but this rather long and dry to the feel. Had he been correctly registered he would have run his brother close.
TABBY POINT SIAMESE KITTEN FEMALE
Unusual to get 3 tortie tabbies in one class!
1 BOB MEEKING’S RANTIPOLE ENIGMA 932t8) 4 months Lovely beautifully grown lilac based caramel miss. Gorgeous little even wedge with not a hint of a pinch, large open based ears well set and forming lovely lines, oriental eyes of vivid blue, straight profile, good depth to her chin and level bite, long neck – she uses well! – and firm well developed body with an extra long fine whip tail, quite sturdy legs – she will be a good sized Queen. Super even points – clearly tortie tabby as she has very good apricot mingling throughout particularly evident along length of tail and diffused in ears and mask, has clear thumbprints and facial tracings – hope they hang about as most dilutes tend to blur as age creeps on – and her tail has complete rings from tip to base, a joy to find. Warm off white body - coat slightly long but of good texture. Many congratulations on Best Kitten – well deserved.
2 PAGE’S ASHJOLEX GEISHAGIRL (32t1) 5 months 3 weeks Seal tortie tabby Miss of good overall type and balance. Short wedge just slightly square to muzzle as yet, ears open and well set forming a neat even line, gorgeous deep blue eye colour – just a tad full to shape, tiniest of dips to profile, firm depth to chin and level bite, body of good development and tone with long fine whip and slender legs. Points of dark seal – would ideally like more brightness to the red evident, her tabby markings quite well developed apart from the tail rings which are broken and blurred however this is not helped by her obvious ticked base which always diffuses the pattern. Excellent coat qualities.
3 EVAN’S BILLSTES GYPSY MOTH (32t3) 5 months Choc tortie tabby Miss who was a right demolition expert, her pen looked like the Wreck of the Hesperus with her still at the helm! Neat little even wedge still to lengthen from eye to nose level which at the moment unbalances a little, good topline although ideally the ears could be a little more open to the base, excellent eye colour - a little full, chin could be stronger although the bite level. Slightly fine body as yet needing to develop and gain more muscle tone. Fine whip balancing tail, quite sturdy little legs. Points dark choc tone but showing super rich red breaks of tortie thru the points, well etched tracings and ‘smudged’ thumbprints with bracelets developing and tail rings for half of length, coat a little dry but of good length.

Very flashy Miss is your first impression of this well grown youngster – however as a Judge it does not do to look too far into her overall conformity to the SOP!
Long wedge with wide set jug handle ears that tip forward, unfortunately they are set too far forward on her head so there is a fair proportion of wedge actually behind the ears, just love her eyes for colour, shape, set and expression, uneven profile with dip and bump and her chin ebbs away slightly, level bite, long neck and body – this of excellent muscle tone and development, her condition impeccable, long slender legs with neat paws and long fine whip. Points warm dark seal – super pattern evident firmly imprinted thumbprints, M and ribbons with pinpoint whisker spots, broken leg bracelets to tips of toes, tail rings for approx 1/3 of length, coat short warm and of excellent texture. Lovely temperament – obviously been told she came from the top drawer and believes it! Well done on Best Overall Exhibit.

1 CLARK’S DRESTOTHRIL DECADENT RED (32a) F 1 year 8 months Red lady of good overall type. Long wedge with bump over brow in profile, ears of good size but needing to be more open and a little more width between to balance lines, eyes of good shape and of a good intensity of blue, good depth to chin and level bite, long well nourished body , tail, although a good whip, is short. Excellent bright points - well matched, pale stockings, brighter to hocks, coat virtually unshaded - a little dry and long. Rather worried about proceedings!

Quite a stylish seal tabby chap with a long wedge , eyes are rather straight to set but of good depth of colour, large ears ideally needing a little more width to balance the length of wedge, quite a pronounced pinch, straight profile, chin slopes away but bite ok, long well toned body with fine whip tail. Warm dark seal points, well marked throughout and although he is quite heavily shaded with spotting and barring evident there is still sufficient contrast and indeed his body is pleasantly warm in tone. Excellent short gleaming coat.

1 MILES’ REYNARDS RUBY TUESDAY (24) FN 2 years 11 months Rather worried mature well nourished Madam. Long wedge with quite a pronounced pinch, large ears well set, uneven profile with dip and bump evident, chin falls back fractionally but bite ok albeit a few missing incisors, eyes of good shape and colour depth, long body with quite an extended midriff and balancing whip tail, quite sturdy legs and paws. Excellent warm points well matched and contrasting cream and fawn body of super texture and length. Congratulations on Best Female Neuter.
2 RYCRAFT’S DRESTOTHRIL THEODORE (24) MN 2 years 10 months. Bless he was very worried this lengthy well nourished Gent ! Long wedge with ears set too close and needing to be more open to the base, eyes a little full in shape and they were pale in colour although bright, dip to profile, pinch , good depth to chin and level bite. Huge lengthy body, tail thick and short, sturdy legs. Dark warm seal brown points, quite heavily shaded but enough contrast just evident – small area of suspiciously pale hairs in groin area? – His coat of excellent length and texture.
