Mrs L Ashmore

Many thanks to Jackie and the team for my invitation. I had a super day in the  company of my efficient steward Lisa Buck. Everything seemed to go well, and  everyone I met was in a good mood, always a good sign!!
Imperial Grand Champion Male.
Imp Gr Ch. Edward’s GR CH KOORAHK SAKORN
Young Korat boy, slightly tense but certainly not lacking in confidence. Heart shaped head with well set ears and expressive eyes, colour not yet fully developed. Good body shape, limbs and tail. Very good coat quality, displaying the silvering as desired. Well prepared and presented in lovely condition.
Imperial Grand Champion Female
Imp Gr Ch Gr Ch Kaye’s GR CH SITHEE LILLIBULLERO
Smart looking Russian Blue girl with a lovely expression. Almost straight nose, flat  skull and clearly defined angle. Nice depth to chin and level bite. Well placed ears of correct shape. Graceful body well muscled, slender paws and good tail to balance.  Pleasing coat just varied slightly along her back. Shy nature but handled well for us. Well prepared and presented.
Res Imp Gr Ch Hansell’s UK & INT GR CH NISHALKA FIERA
Sorrel Abyssinian with nicely balanced type overall. Good profile lines and fair depth to chin. Bite level. Eyes of lovely colour, just tending to be a little round on occasions. Lovely body lines very feminine limbs and correct tail. Resilient coat texture, rich in colour and clearly ticked. Light fur on chin and throat. A delightful girl, very unlucky to come up against the winner.
Snowshoe Kitten Assessment
Merit AWARDED Hogan’s BLITZGLITZ ICE-STORM
A beautiful example of the breed. Head medium in size with nicely rounded contours. Straight nose, level bite and good chin. Walnut shaped eyes of bright clear blue. Solid body of correct proportions and well muscled. Tail medium thickness at its base  and tapers to the tip. Coat short with no noticeable undercoat and resilient texture.  Beautiful colouring, bluish grey points. White on all limbs, throat chest and collar. Well prepared and presented, a real credit to his owner. The very sweetest little person
Russian Blue Neuter
1pc Stark’s DUSHENKA XANDER
Nice profile lines and whisker pads. Pleasing expression to lovely eyes. Would like more strength to chin. Flat skull and angle. In a bit of a mood so ears all over the place. Good overall body shape and tail. Very nice coat texture. Well shown.
BOB Anderson’s CH & GR PR ANNALOVA LEONID
A big softy enjoying his day out.
Brown Spotted Bengal Neuter
BOB Penny’s GR PR MOADHILL FUNTIME FRANKIE
What a lovely boy he is. Nicely balanced type and body shape. Firm muscular feel to him. Strong limbs and good tail to balance. Just stunning coat texture and colouring.
AOC Tortie Burmese Adult
1cc BOB William’s MOLYMEUX INEUXENDO
Sweet girl still looking a bit of a teenager, but with the most beautiful expression, which could melt the coldest of hearts. Short wedge with blunt muzzle, break in profile and fair chin. Bite level. Compact body of correct proportions, well muscled. Beautiful elegant legs and spoon shaped feet. Coat slightly longer but of a fabulous texture and lays well. Attractive colouring, well prepared and presented. I understand this win made her up to Champion, Congratulations!
2nd Coulter’s JACOU UNIQUE ULTRAVIOLET
Very slightly longer nose, well defined break in profile and fair chin. Eyes had a very slight tendency to roundness but were of pleasing colour. Weighty body of pleasing size and shape, lovely paws and nicely tapered tail. Attractive colouring and silky coat texture. Enjoyed being handled.
Brown Burmese Neuter Female
1 Pc BOB Gile’s CH RAWEKE MIRROR IMAGE
Very nice head with defined break in profile. Nicely rounded brow and expressive eyes. Excellent feel to body, hard, muscular and weighty. Fabulous warm seal coat in top show condition.
2nd
Town’s IGR TEAPOT TANYA
Not in the best of moods so not showing herself to advantage at all on the day. Nice short wide head with desired break in profile and fair chin. Well placed ears and expressive eyes. Good body shape limbs and tail. Coat lies close and is a dark, rich seal colour.
Blue Burmese Neuter Male
1Pc BOB Shank’s ROSSIKHAN SAMURAI
Beautiful expressive eyes, so vital to this breed. Well set ears with gently rounded top of head between. Good brow line and chin. Defined break in profile as desired.
Nice feel to body and pleasing coat.
2nd
Garlick’s SIGISMUND ONCEINABLUE MOON
In an unhappy mood and so just not looking his best. Fair break and chin. Rounded muzzle. Coat fair texture but colour looking as if he was in between coats. I tried to get him out a second time to assess him further but he had a ridge of fur along his back, which in my book says he was not best pleased with me, so I let him be.
Blue Burmese Neuter Female
1Pc Town’s IGR CH TEAPOT ROSYLEE
Pleasing overall with super eyes and nice break in profile. Muscular body, well shaped limbs and tail. Weighty as Burmese should be but not lacking in elegance.
Superb coat texture with the desired gloss, which only comes with good health.
Cheeky little girl who was up on her toes and obviously fancied a walk around the show hall.

OPEN CLASSES
My thanks  to Jackie and her committee  for the invitation to judge, it was a busy and most enjoyable day. I was fortunate to have Tom Cassar-Simmonds as my steward, he handled the cats well and was attentive and efficient throughout the day, much appreciated Tom.

A.V. Oriental Grand Champion Female
IMP GD CC – Linton’s GD CH SHADOWSQUAD STARDUST (37g) 10/03/07. A very elegant and stylish lady of excellent type, perhaps a touch light weight today but presumably she has been calling, and she was not in poor condition. Long but well balanced wedge with very good top  and large flyaway ears very well set. Lovely eye shape and set with good clear green colour. Almost straight profile with deep firm spot on chin, bite levelish. Long slender body that could ideally be more substantia,l but the spine and the hips bones were well covered, long spidery limbs and dainty paws,  long whip tail to balance. Darker cool toned blue tortie coat, beautifully mingled overall with pale cool cream,  sound to roots and of good sleek texture.  Excellent temperament and beautifully presented in a throne nest.

Oriental Shaded Neuter
Judged for BOB only and awarded – Lund’s GD PR SMAUG TY (43ds) 28/02/07. A large handsome lad of very good type.  Medium wedge with good top of head and  ears just about large enough to balance, setting very good. Typical expression to oriental eyes of olive green colour.  Virtually  straight profile, good chin and level bite. Weighty and substantial body of good length, rather too comfortably covered today and it tended to make his head look out of balance and small in proportion, long strong limbs and good length tail. Super coat, muted red shading beautifully diffuse and showing minimal pattern, with clear silver undercoat pushing up the hair shaft to about two thirds,  overall length and texture very good.  Excellent to handle and excellently presented.

Seal Point Siamese Adult Female
1st CC w/h – Duffy’s FIORDILISIO TELLING TALES 21/06/08. Only just adult  and there was a lot I liked about this stylish lady, however, one or two problems precluded the awarding of the certificate today. Lovely head for style and balance, top line wide and the ears were large flared and very well set.  Very good shape and set to eyes with deep blue colour. Good profile and chin but bite scissored over slightly. Long dainty but well covered body, long dainty limbs and neat paws, tail long and whippy but with a small defect at the tip. Points colour dark and cold in tone – almost black, which was the main reason for my withholding.  Gorgeous texture to coat, but like the points was cold in tone and almost white in colour, which is incorrect for a seal.  Rather wriggly but not unfriendly. Excellently presented, a great pity about her colouring.

Blue Point Siamese Adult Female
CC & BOB – Foster’s BOSSKIP LOTTIE 27/01/08. A neat and dainty queen of good type and style. Medium length wedge with good top line and fairly large ears well set. Sweet expression to eyes of oriental shape and set with excellent brilliant colour. Good profile and chin with level bite. Firm little body of good length, long elegant limbs, tapered tail needs an inch to balance.  Mid blue points almost matching, just the tail marginally darker.  Very good length and texture to coat showing glacial tones on bib and tummy with medium shading overall. Excellent to handle and beautifully presented.

Chocolate Point Siamese Adult Female
CC & BOB – Howard & Hanby’s AMARRICHI AURORA SQUISTA 31/05/08. For just under 10 months this girl has excellent size and development. Long stylish head with very good top line and large flared ears set to balance. Eyes very oriental in shape and setting with mid blue colour.  Marginal dip to nose, chin reasonably deep but slopes back a touch, bite level.  Excellent substance to long well muscled body, long elegant limbs and spoon paws,  tail rather short and has a suspect tip to it. Points colouring on the dark side but redeemed by a good deal of warmth of tone, a touch of brindling showing under eyes today. Lovely coat, un-shaded ivory, short and close lying. Excellent to handle and excellently presented.

Tabby Point Siamese Kitten Male
1st – Hirst’s TOGHAR BY DESIGN (32/3) 12/10/08. A promising boy and well grown. Strong little head with good top and large ears very well set. Sweet expression to eyes of oriental shape and set with good depth of colour.  Slight dip to profile over nose, chin could be a touch stronger but bite level.  Well developed body of good length, strong limbs and quite large paws – he will be a big boy I think, tail almost balances at present. Pale cool toned chocolate tabby markings that have minimal development at this stage, with only half a cheek ribbon evident and leg bracelets almost imperceptible, but tail rings okay. Virtually unshaded coat of excellent texture for a baby. Perfectly poised and presented on his posh bed.

Tabby Point Siamese Kitten Female
1st & BOB – Palmer’s STYPERSON TOP DRAWER (32/1) 01/07/08. A simply mouth-watering female – when she holds her ears in the right place that is. Almost adult and looking it with excellent size and substance.  Strong head for a female with excellent wide top line, the ears are huge and tilted over at the tips, she does have a tendency to hold them flat and that does her no favours, but when she holds them correctly the head is gorgeous.  Strong romanesque profile with lovely broad nose, deep firm chin, bite very marginally scissored under.  Long well defined neckline, long strong and well muscled body with lovely weight and substance for a female, long limbs and oval paws, whippy tail to balance. Dark seal, what appears to be ticked based tabby markings with slightly blurred scarab, large thumb prints, single cheek ribbons, narrow banded leg bars, yet tail well ringed.  Good short and sleek textured coat, lightly ticked over all to tone. Perfect to handle, a huge time-waster, beautifully presented.

2nd – Grainger’s WANDERING THATCHERS GOLD (32/3) 07/11/08. A dear baby well grown, of good overall type but somewhat overshadowed by the winner today.  Medium length wedge, top line needs a touch more width the for balance, ear size good though could be a little more flared, basically well set. Oval shaped eyes well set, colour a good blue.  Tiny dip to nose, good chin and level bite, pinch to muzzle but then she is changing her canines at present. Well covered body of good length, neat limbs and paws, tail could do with another inch ideally. Warm toned mid chocolate tabby markings, with scarab half developed, thumb prints clear, single ribbons show, leg bracelets minimal at present, tail rings good.  Unshaded pale coat of soft fine baby texture.  A little shy and retiring – first show perhaps? Excellently presented.

A.C. Balinese Neuter Male
PC & BOB – Webb’s PIPPASTRO BOLSHOI (61n) 07/06/08. A big strong chap of good type, well developed for his age.  Broad medium wedge with very good top and large ears for this breed – and judging by the fluted hairs at the base of his ears I could have taken a good guess as to who is Daddy is! Eyes of basically good shape but he does tend to hold them wide which gives him a innocent expression and tends to show his less than ideal eye colour. However, as he is caramel this should improve as he ages and I felt it  was just acceptable on the day. Strong profile with deep chin and level bite. Really weighty and substantial body of good length, strong boned limbs and large tufted paws, tail length almost balances. Points colour still developing, he does show some muddy tones to the ears and tail and the nose leather and paw pads are purple  in tone so I accepted him as caramel on the day. Lovely coat texture beautifully silky and fine, length could be better, including the plume,  but he is still very young.  Very amenable bless him and excellently presented.

MISCELLANEOUS CLASSES
A.C. Siamese/Balinese Cat Bred by Exhibitor
1st – Mason’s CH EPITOME SWEET DREAMS (32b8) F 28/10/06.  Most attractive mature lady with  very good type style and substance.  Her points colour is very good with plenty of warm apricot mingling evident. Her eye colour is particularly good for a caramel with really brilliant tones. Excellent temperament and presentation

2nd – Corby & Dolan’s CH IKISHIROO KIA JAM (24c) F 11/10/05. Another mature girl, type good, points a tad on the dark side particularly the tail but some pinkish tones evident. Eye colour not as good as the winners but acceptable. Overall a nice little queen who was very easy to handle.

3rd – Davies’ BURNTHWAITES DANCING QUEEN (24c) F 19/05/08.

A.C. Siamese/Balinese Cat Not Bred by Exhibitor
1st – Browning’s CIATRA BASHFUL BRUNO (37) M 12/010/08. Gorgeous boy, wonderful substance and maturity for age and his type is really very good indeed. I love his strong head and very wicked expression. Excellent coat, dense black, sound to roots  and very sleek.   He was not very easy to handle by the time I got to him, very macho and strutting his stuff, my steward just about withdrew unscathed. In tip top condition.

2nd – Rice’s SEIDO SULTRESS OF SWING (37) F 13/04/08. A very stylish young miss, dainty yet deceptively weighty. Lovely  balance to head, a real Siamese head in style, and such a snooty expression to the good green eyes. I could only fault her on her bite which was very untidy and slightly overshot. Coat qualities excellent, sleek glossy black and sound. Temperament and presentation both excellent.

3rd – Atkinson’s WESTGARTH STORMCAT (37fn) M 08/05/08

A.C. Oriental Longhair or Balinese   Cat
1st – Browning’s GD CH PIPPASTRO HAWK MOTH (61n) M 05/05/07. A superlative Balinese male about whom I have waxed long and lyrical on many occasions. Perfect in everyway bar his tail that is a bit short for his body length – particularly when he stretches himself out in such a relaxed manor. Coat needed a little more length today, also the plume, but his ear flutes are just as exotic as ever. The most perfect temperament one could hope for in an entire - I could find a space for him in my home any time.

A.C. Oriental/Siamese/Balinese Adolescent Cat
1st – Browning’s CIATRA BASHFUL BRUNO (37) M 12/010/08

2nd - Howard & Hanby’s AMARRICHI AURORA SQUISTA (24b) F 31/05/08

3rd - Foster’s BOSSKIP LOTTIE (24a) F  27/01/08

 A.C. Siamese/Balinese Kitten Bred by Exhibitor
1st - Palmer’s STYPERSON TOP DRAWER (32/1) F  01/07/08

2nd - Hirst’s TOGHAR BY DESIGN (32/3) M 12/10/08

3rd – Davies’ BURNTHWAITES SUPERTROUPER (24a) F 15/08/08.  Typy kitten with huge ears, points colour a little but dark but eye colour super.

ex 3rd – Jones’ SARAMESE GOODLUCKCHARM (24c) F 16/08/08. Pretty baby with lovely points colouring.

A.C. Oriental Kitten Not  Bred by Exhibitor
1st – Davies CHEZ ERAGON OF WICCANWAYS (48b) M 16/09/08.  A beautifully grown lad of very good type. Head a touch longer than ideal  but he has the top and ears to carry it off. Super eyes for shape and set with really good green colour. This chap has plenty of white in all the right places to almost a half, his chocolate colour is typically dark but has a good deal of warmth to it though a little unsound today. A promising boy.

I found both the 2nd and 3rd placed kittens puzzling, neither really conforms to what they are registered as at the moment, the Shaded showing more pattern than the Spotted and the former looking as though he could be a low grade silver albeit with a lot of tarnishing, the undertail and around the eyes being virtually white. It will be interesting to see how they develop

2nd – Fuller’s STARAPPEAL SCENESTEALER (62 20a) M 25/10/08

3rd – Webb’s PIPPASTRO BLUE CALIFORNIA (62 43a) M 17/09/08

A.C. Oriental/Siamese/Balinese Debutante Kitten
1st – Hirst’s TOGHAR RED ADARE (32a) M 11/12/08. Now this I liked for type, although he is very diddy at the moment.  Very typy head with huge ears he needs to grow into, he has quite a strong profile with a broad nose, eye shape and set correct with mid blue colour. Very dainty body but reasonably covered, string like tail. Good bright mid red points colour but no colour on the limbs as yet.  Coat a little long, soft fine and rather fluffy at the moment. The sweetest person, who knows just how to show himself.

2nd – Evans’ FLUTTERBY FUN TIME GAL (24) F 11/10/08. An attractive and promising baby. Head type very good with very large wide based ears set wide, eye shape good though she does tend to hold them a little wide at times, colour good. Not the largest of kittens but  solid and weighty. Dense seal point and creamy coat that is still clearing. Excellent to handle and beautifully presented

3rd – Shore’s TIJANMEEK CALLERLILLI (37) F 02/11/08

A.C. Oriental/Siamese/Balinese Maiden Kitten
1st – Evans’ ROCHVALLEY BELLEOTHEBALL (24n) F 20/10/08. This baby has a really strong head on her and the ears are huge, very wide at the base and presently tilt over at the tips. Eyes of good shape but straight in set at the moment, colour mid blue. Promising points colour, lilac-based with brownish overtones on “leaf pattern” ears and tail. Should make a good sized queen. Excellent temperament.

2nd – Shore’s EPITOME DREAMCATHCHER (32fn) M 14/07/08. This lad has very good  points colour for his age, it is really hot in tone and the mask is very well developed, a sure sign that is apricot rather than just hot cream. Type good although the head is a touch longer than ideal for balance at the moment. I would like the eye colour to be deeper but this should improve as he ages.  Not the happiest of bunnies today but handled okay.

3rd – Shore’s TIJANMEEK CALLERLILLI (37) F 02/11/08

A.C. Oriental/Siamese/Balinese  Kitten Under 6 Months
1st - Evans’ ROCHVALLEY BELLEOTHEBALL (24n) F 20/10/08

2nd – Grainger’s WANDERING THATCHERS GOLD (32/3) F 07/11/08

A.C. Oriental Non Self Neuter
1st Cruden’s OOPSIEEIDEE MAKING WAVES (41n) MN16/06/08. Not the typist in the class but still good, his caramel colour is really excellent and his pattern is very good indeed. Apart from his slightly un-matching oysters his pattern shows all the correct elements, with well defined and separated  spine lines, clear butterfly with some internal spotting evident, and  for a “Classic” he is also pretty sound. He also has gorgeous green eye colour. A handsome boy excellently presented.

2nd – Ryan’s GD PR SPINNING JENNY (37g) FN 26/03/06. Ran the winner very close indeed but needs to fine down, currently rather rotund. Very good  head type with sweet expression and good eye colour. Tortie coat a rather dark blue well mingled overall in pale cream, sound to roots. Excellent to handle

3rd Dunn’s PR PIPPASTRO MINALOOSH (62 43bs) MN 12/05/07

ex 3rd – Lund’s GD PR SMAUG TY (43ds) MN 28/02/07

A.C. Oriental/Siamese/Balinese Novice Neuter
1st – Blackbourn’s PLEZETOBE PARDON MYFRENCH (24a) FN 18/04 07. A dainty lady of very good type and colouring, but not very happy today.

A.C. Oriental/Siamese/Balinese Adolescent Neuter
1st – Copeland’s PR FLOWERDEW GTEXPECTATIONS (24) MN 02/02/08. Gorgeous boy, very  stylish indeed. Excellent head for balance and style with wide top and large flared ears set to follow, profile very strong.  Points colouring very good, dark dense but fairly warm. If I were to nit pick I would like to see deeper eye colour, particularly in a seal and he is quite heavily shaded for a youngster – but you can’t have everything. Excellent temperament.

2nd – Nelson’s TIDLYPOO TYPHOON TOM (32c) MN 26/04/08. A big chap, type good but elegance spoiled somewhat by his waistline which was fuller than ideal. Points colouring on the hot side and the eye colour could be a good deal deeper. Good natured and easy to handle.

A.C. Siamese/Balinese Junior Neuter
1st – Page’s ASHJOLEX ZACHARYBINX (32/1) MN 27/04/01.  Elegant boy of very good type with a longish but fairly well balanced wedge and very large ears set to follow. Love his fat nose, gives him a very snooty look. Eye shape and set a touch exaggerated and slightly deep set but colour very good. Tabby markings well defined with good tail rings. Coat texture not quite right today, it was a touch too fine and could lie sleeker, some light shading overall to tone. Super temperament.

2nd - Webb’s PIPPASTRO BOLSHOI (61n) MN 07/06/08

Mrs M Codd

Many thanks to Jacky and the Committee for inviting me to judge, and to Jackie Hough for volunteering to steward.  I had a smashing day, with some super cats.

Asian Tiffanie Adult Male:

I CC Withheld COPLEYS’ KEVONA SIMPLYAPERFECT END, 68/43csq, short wedge, rather a ‘ski-slope’ nose break, slightly receding chin.  Eyes very good set, shape and colour; ears correct size and set.  Good body and tail, legs rather heavy-boned.  Cat is a little short, could be more silken in texture, needing more plume on his tail and ruff.  Slightly grey at the roots, with uneven shading, he has lilac on his face, but rather golden-toned shading on his body and tail, looking more like chocolate.  Sorry to withhold, but his colouring is not clear, and certainly not showing the lilac I would expect.

Brown Burmese Adult:

Many thanks to Jacky, Allie and the Committee for the invitation to judge, I had a very enjoyable day meeting some lovely cats.  Thanks also go to Amanda Keevil, who stepped in to steward for me and was such good company on the day.

Burmese Grand Champion, Female:  Five cats entered.  GCC.  WILSHAW’S CH ROSSIKHAN CUPCAKE.  16/8/07.  Gorgeous girl, well balanced and of good type. Compact slender body is of very good weight and substance, lithe, firm and well muscled with straight back, correctly rounded chest and slender elegant well shaped limbs ending in neat oval paws in proportion.  Head forms short wide wedge, quite blunt in the muzzle with slightly rounded top between well spaced medium large broad based ears of good shape.  Lovely large lustrous warm chartreuse yellow eyes are of very good shape and set wide apart to give typical glowering Burmese expression.  In profile shows good depth to skull with very gentle curve to brow, very good break, short straight nose and level chin of fairly good depth.  Coat is of medium length, fine and very close lying with a smooth satin-like texture, shown in beautiful condition and displaying a glossy shine.  Warm medium milk chocolate colour is rich and even in tone.  Tail tapers evenly to “paintbrush” tip and almost balances.  Confident girl with plenty to say for herself, she knows she is beautiful and expects to be treated with due regard!      Res GCC.  WILSHAW’S ROSSIKHAN CENTREFOLD.  3/11/07.  Another very attractive young lady, who has a very similar appearance to the winner and shows the same good type.  Slender lithe body is nicely balanced and of very good weight and substance, feeling firm and well muscled with straight back, gently rounded chest and elegant well shaped slender legs ending in neat oval paws in proportion.   Head shows short wide wedge with slightly rounded top between well spaced medium large broad based ears of good shape.  Lovely large lustrous yellow chartreuse eyes are of very good shape and set wide apart to give typical glowering expression.  Very slight curve to brow, very good break, short straight nose and level chin of fairly good depth.  Fine coat is of medium length, very close lying and feeling smooth and satiny in texture, in superb condition with a gleaming shine.  Warm medium dove grey, even in tone with just a hint of a pinkish cast visible in the light of the hall, very good frosted effect to head, ears and limbs.  Tail tapers evenly to “paintbrush” tip and is a fraction short to balance.  A little uptight out on the table and swore to show her displeasure, more relaxed and contented back in her bed.

Korat Adult, Male:  One cat entered.  1CC.  EDWARDS’S GR CH KOORAHK PEE SAKORN.  10/1/07.  Mature handsome boy, looking distinctly masculine and of pleasing type.  Quite large semi cobby body is of very good weight and substance, feeling firm and muscular with good foreign bone-structure, gently rounded chest and slender well shaped legs ending in compact oval paws in proportion.  Head shows heart-shaped face quite good width to cheeks accentuated by jowls, a touch pointing and very slightly fine across the muzzle, forehead is quite broad.  Medium size broad based ears are of good shape, he did tend to hold them a touch low and a little flared, probably because he was rather upset, I did manage to get him to hold them correctly high for a few seconds.  Large lustrous eyes are of good shape, again he was reluctant to co-operate and open them fully and it took some time to persuade him to good so, set wide apart; colour is green with a distinct yellow cast.  Flat brow, very slight stop, nose is a fraction long and slopes down correctly, chin recedes very slightly and is of reasonable depth.  Close lying coat is of medium length, fine and quite silky especially for a working boy, in very good condition with a healthy shine.  Even slightly dark blue grey in colour, very little silvery sheen visible and showing ghost rings on tail.  Tail is heavier at the base tapering evenly to finer rounded tip; length is just short to balance.  Very unhappy today, he growled and hissed and sucked in his face, really did not want to be handled at all.  I spent some time trying to give him a fair assessment.

Korat Adult, Female:  One girl entered.  1CC & BOB.  CH KOORAHK ROSY.  4/3/07.  Pretty girl, mature and of very pleasing type, but like the boy above not in the best of moods today, something had obviously upset them both.  Compact semi-cobby body is slender firm and well muscled, nicely balanced and of very good weight and substance with gently rounded chest and slender elegant well shaped legs ending in neat oval paws in proportion.  Head shows balanced heart-shaped face with good width to cheeks and breadth to gently rounded muzzle, forehead is broad and flat.  Large broad based ears are of good shape and held just high enough when she is settled and alert.  Large lustrous eyes are of very good shape, held well open and set well apart and at a slight slant to give typical expression.  Colour is good clear green.  Flat brow, slight stop, tiny bump on nose, chin is just level and of reasonably good depth.  Coat is of medium length, fine and very close lying with smooth silky texture, coat breaks nicely along spine when she settles, super condition with a gleaming shine.  Dark blue grey colour is even in tone with good silvery sheen to head, ears and limbs in particular; a few faint ghost rings visible on tail.  Tail tapers evenly to finer rounded tip and almost balances.  Very noisy and unhappy to be handled, however, she settled down and relaxed when back in her pen.

AV SHL Female kitten bred by Exhibitor:  Two girls present.  1.  GARDNER’S FELLPURRS MIRANDA.  Brown Classic Tabby Maine Coon.  12/9/08.  Attractive young lady of good size and weight for six and a half months and of very pleasing type.  Long slender body is rectangular in appearance, feeling a little bony and lacking flesh and substance at present, and I suspect going through a burst of growth, but weight fine and feels well muscled, sturdy underlying bone-structure; broad rounded chest and slender sturdy legs ending in large round paws in proportion with modest snowshoes.  Head forms balanced wedge-shaped with width just slightly less than length, high cheek bones and good breadth to square muzzle, uniform width to nose, but slightly thin in the face and teething.  Medium large broad based ears are of good shape and set high yet well apart, good lynx tips and furnishings.  Large expressive eyes are a rich yellow colour, full and round in shape and spaced wide apart and set slightly obliquely.  Slight curve to brow, good concave curve to profile line to nose, chin is level, quite firm and of good depth.  Good coat length for age, top coat flows over very modest amount of soft undercoat, silky smooth texture and in super condition with a glossy shine; modest ruff and breeches.  Defined Classic pattern in dense jet black contrasts well against warm copper-toned agouti ground, shows “butterfly” across shoulders and oysters on flanks match quite well, a little solid on lower back; broken bracelets on legs and double necklace; “M” and skullcap on forehead, mascara effect to eyes surrounded by lighter spectacles, well defined barring on cheeks, “thumb-print” marks on backs of ears.  Tail is of good shape and length balances, quite well furnished and fairly bushy, good for age.  A slightly nervous girl a little skittish out on the table, calmer and very sweet natured in her pen.   2.  MILLIGAN’S WESTLAKES TOPAZ.  Blue Tortie Classic Tabby & White Maine Coon.  24/8/08.  Another attractive young lady, who is well grown and of good size and weight for her age.  Long slender rectangular body feels firm and well muscled with very good underlying boning; broad gently rounded chest and slender sturdy well shaped limbs ending in large round paws in proportion with moderate snowshoes.   Head shows wedge-shape that is a fraction long to balance width across high cheeks, muzzle lacks sufficient breadth and strength – a touch fine.  Medium large broad based ears set high but well spaced between, lynx tufts at tips and furnishings.  Large expressive eyes are full and round, rich amber in colour and set wide apart and slightly obliquely.  Gentle curve to brow, profile is rather straight with only slight concave curve at bridge, and nose narrows very slightly towards leather; chin is level and of quite good depth.  Silky smooth coat is medium long and flows over some soft undercoat, which is still developing, short across shoulders, slight ruff shirt-front developing and moderate breeches; very well prepared and in beautiful condition with a gleaming shine.  Tortie Classic Tabby pattern in quite dark blue grey mixed with rich medium cream is very diffuse with no clearly defined “butterfly” or oysters and blurred markings across back, pattern contrasts with ground colour of cool pale beige and pale cream; pristine white chest and under-parts and clean white socks on all four feet.  “M” and faint skullcap on forehead, attractive mascara effect to eyes surrounded by lighter spectacles, fairly faint barring on cheeks.  Tail tapers evenly to rounded tip, length balances, well furnished and quite bushy.   Very affectionate girl and full of purrs.

A V Foreign Male Cat Bred by Exhibitor:  One cat entered.  SEDGWICK’S CATWA DIMITRI.  Male Russian White.  21/4/08.  Handsome boy but very unhappy today and very difficult to handle and assess, but looking suitably mature for eleven months.  Slender long body is of very good weight and substance, appearing graceful and feeling firm and well muscled with medium foreign boning; elegant slender legs end in compact oval paws in proportion.  Head shows short wedge with quite good breadth to muzzle, although looking a little pointed with moderately prominent whisker-pads, in part this may have been because he was so unhappy and sucking in his face.  Flat top to head between medium large broad based ears of good shape with pointed tips, it was difficult to get him to hold them high enough, so they did not appear vertical to head, but were held a little low and slightly flared.  He was very reluctant to open his eyes fully, he did so briefly and eyes are of very good size, almond shaped and set wide apart and at a slight slant, colour mid green at a glance!  Forehead is straight to upper edge of eyes where is forms appropriate angle with profile line to nose, this shows a slight concave curve; chin is level and of fairly good depth.  He would not let me check his bite.  Double coat is fine and of medium length, lying rather flat to the body and lacking typical plush velvety texture from what I could feel, appeared in very good condition.  Clear pristine white with faint tiny black mark on forehead, could not check under-parts but no yellowing to the white from what I could see.   Tail tapers to finer rounded tip and is just long enough to balance.  Not a happy bunny!

A V Foreign Female Cat Bred by Exhibitor:  A class of ten cats.  1.  KEMP’S CH NATZKATZ JABULANI.  Asian Brown Ticked Tabby.  26/1/08.  Attractive girl, looking quite mature and of good overall type.  Slender well balanced body is of medium size, compact and of very good weight and substance, feeling firm and well muscled with straight back, gently rounded chest and slender well shaped elegant limbs ending in neat oval paws in proportion.  Head forms short wide wedge with slightly rounded top between well spaced medium large broad based ears of good shape.  Lustrous large yellow chartreuse eyes are of very good shape and set wide apart to give typical Burmese expression.  Very slight curve to brow, good break, short nose with leather falling away at very tip, chin is level and of fairly good depth.  Fine coat is of medium length and lies very close to the body, smooth and satiny in texture and in superb condition with a gleaming shine.  Pattern of well defined ticking in dark warmish seal brown is evenly distributed over a sparkling silver ground, two bands of ticking visible on close inspection, slight spine line, well broken necklace, a few short narrow bars on forelegs and smudge on each knee, “M” and skullcap on forehead, attractive mascara effect to eyes accentuated by light spectacles, defined pencilling on cheeks.  Tail tapers evenly to “paintbrush” tip and just balances.  A little noisy and swore when out on the table, but calmer and quite sweet natured when back in her bed.  2.   KAYE’S SITHEE SASSYSAFFRAN. Russian Blue.  20/6/08. Very attractive girl, just adult, developing well but needing time to mature and reach her full potential, of very promising type.  Long slender graceful body is rather thin and lacking in substance, although with good elegant foreign boning and sound muscle tone, weight is quite acceptable for size and build; elegant well shaped legs are if good length, ending in neat oval paws in proportion.  Head forms short wedge with good breadth to muzzle and good prominent whisker-pads, just looking a touch thin in the face.  Large broad based ears are of good shape with pointed tips and set correctly high on head with flat top of head between, tall and vertical when settled in her pen.  Large almond shaped eyes are set wide apart and at a slight slant to give typical expression, colour is palish green.  In profile has straight line to brow forming correct angle above upper eye with profile line to nose, which shows a slight curve; chin is level and of quite good depth.  Double coat is fine, of medium length and quite dense, good soft plush velvety texture; in super condition and well prepared.  Soft medium blue grey colour is even in tone with very distinct silvery sheen all over head, body and limbs, showing a few ghost rings on tail.  Tail tapers evenly to rounded tip and length balances nicely.  Delightful temperament, alert, inquisitive and very sweet natured, I look forward to see how she develops. 3.  MISKELLY’S GLENDAVAN SPELLBOUND.  Usual Abyssinian.  3/10/08.

CLASS 127       SEAL POINT BIRMAN ADULT
CC & BOB, HOBSON’S TWINKLETOES JASMIN, FEMALE, 16.04.08
A very pretty female, almost a year old and of lovely Birman type.  Medium sized ears placed well, she has fairly full cheeks tapering gently to firm chin, her nose is medium long with a slight bump.  Expressive, almost round eyes, the colour is blue but could be slightly deeper for perfection.  Well grown for her age, the body is fairly long, proportionate limbs and bushy tail length balances well.  Sparkling white feet markings, her gloves are even at the front, the white travels to the pad on the back of the right front foot, but does not go past.  Gauntlets are medium length and matching.  Her presentation is tip-top, beautiful condition soft and silky pale beige coat contrasts well with seal points colouring, albeit her mask is showing very slight brindling.  Relaxed and easy to handle.

CLASS 130       RED/CREAM/TORTIE POINT BIRMAN ADULT
BOB, BROWN’S CH DALTEEMA DIAMANTE DOLLY, 13c7, CREAM POINT FEMALE, 06.02.07
A most attractive female, just over two years old and clearly in her prime, looking so well balanced.  Expertly presented, wearing a pale off-white coat that contrasts beautifully with her soft creamy points and sparkling white feet markings.  Very good Birman type, lovely expression from good blue eyes.  Well proportioned female.  Delightful girl to handle and a worthy winner of the BOB today.
CC, MLYNEK & HAYWARD’S MLYWARD HONEY POT, 13c7, CREAM POINT, 03.06.08
And what a honey she is!  A very pretty young lady, of excellent Birman type.  Her skull is broad and rounded, fairly full cheeks taper gently to firm chin, medium length nose with slight dip to the profile, well placed medium sized soft cream ears.  Her almost round eyes are an excellent deep blue colour, probably the most vivid I have seen on a cream point for some time.  Well grown girl, of good body length and weight, with proportionate limbs and bushy tail to balance.  Sparkling white feet markings.  Her coat is prepared to perfection, soft and silky and the palest off-white colour that contrasts delicately with soft cream points that are almost even, the tail is slightly paler particularly to the tip and also shows very slight ghost tabby barrings to the underside.  Friendly nature and a pleasure to judge.
2ND, POOL’S DALTEEMA STARDUST, 13c6, SEAL TORTIE POINT, 03.06.08
Another very pretty girl with the sweetest of expressions, enhanced by her attractive facial markings and deep blue almost round eyes.  Very good Birman type again, broad and rounded skull, well placed medium sized ears, cheeks filling out, good chin, medium length nose with slight dip to the profile.  Well proportioned female, with thick set medium length legs, short round paws and a bushy tail to balance well.  Her points colouring is still developing, the intermingled colours of seal and red being rather pale, particularly the reds which appear more creamy and akin to a chocolate tortie.  Her white feet markings were a little difficult to define precisely, the white on her right front foot is a fraction low on the inner toe, whilst her back left foot has a small area around the hock that is so pale it could be white, but I gave her the benefit of the doubt today, given her immaturity and the fact that the colours on the points are still coming through.  Well presented very friendly girl, purring her head off and enjoying her day.
3RD, BROWN’S DALTEEMA FANTASIA, 13c10, LILAC TORTIE POINT, 03.06.08
Litter sister to the second placed girl, and naturally very similar in type and size, albeit this female has slightly less coat at the moment, which makes her look a little less mature.  Good Birman type, with breadth to the skull, medium sized ears and cheeks filling out.  Her almost round eyes are paler blue in colour than her sister, super alert expression.   Good body size and weight, well proportioned and balanced.  Her feet markings appear acceptable, though her right front foot has white at least reaching the stopper pad at the back of the foot, which may well travel past this point, although as the colours are still developing it would have been harsh to penalise her at this stage.  I would also prefer to see more lilac intermingled with the various shades of cream on her points as the right front leg has just a dusting of lilac colour and her tail appears at the moment to be various shades of cream, with no lilac present. Her gauntlets are more defined, the right has a more squared off finish than the left, both good length.

4TH, POOL’S DALTEEMA SARMOYAH TOPAZ, 13c7, CREAM POINT, 29.05.08
Another quite attractive youngster, who has stunning deep blue almost round eyes, so expressive and really vivid against the paleness of her cream mask.  Good Birman type and size, nicely placed ears.  Her nose is medium in length, I would like to see slightly more of a dip to the profile, which looks a little straight.  Well proportioned girl of good body length and weight, bushy tail to balance well.  Her gloves are even, gauntlets are just medium in length and a little untidy.  I did feel that her presentation needed to be better.  Her white feet were a little stained, and she needed much more attention to her tummy area which looked and felt greasy.  She also needed her rather sharp claws trimming please!

CLASS 143       AC COLOURPOINTED/MITTED RAGDOLL ADULT MALE
CC & BOB, HASSETT’S HAPPYTYME TUMBLERAG, 66aw, BLUE MITTED, 31.03.08
I really liked the look and size of this young lad, already looking so well grown and striking.  Very good head shape, broad with a flat plane between medium sized ears that tilt forwards very slightly.  Well developed cheeks and rounded muzzle, balanced nose with gentle dip, almost retrousse at the tip.  Large, well opened eyes are set slightly obliquely and apart, strong blue colour.  Long and muscular frame, proportionate limbs and long bushy tail to balance.  His front feet have white mittens that are a little uneven, the left travels slightly past the angle formed by paw and leg, back legs are all white, as is his chin, bib, chest and underbody.  Well presented boy, his bluish white coat is clear and silky soft to the touch, contrasting with mid bluish grey points colour.  He was a little apprehensive whilst being handled, wriggling constantly but was much more relaxed in his pen, where he presents himself well.
2ND, LANCASHIRE’S FILENSIO SOUTHERN COMFORT, 66w, SEAL MITTED, 26.01.08
Very handsome looking lad, with an excellent head shape, so typical of the breed.  Broad head with flat plane, good width between medium sized ears that tilt forwards very slightly.  Full, round eyes are deep blue in colour, set slightly obliquely and apart.  Medium length to nose with gentle dip to the profile, rounded cheeks and muzzle, firm white chin.  Well grown and well proportioned boy, long and muscular tones to the body, with medium length legs and large tufted paws, bushy tail reaches the shoulders.  His white mittens are matching, back legs are all white.  The white from his chin reaches his bib and chest, but reaching the tummy area becomes more of a faint trickle of white hairs, interspersed with darker beige areas.  His fairly dense and well presented coat is beige, but shady albeit there is still contrast with the velvety seal points colour.  A friendly lad, lovely to handle.
3RD, JONES’ CH GROOVICATS KOKOMO, 66a, BLUE COLOURPOINTED, 24.08.05
Handsome and mature male, who I have judged before.  Excellent head proportions, broad and with good width between the ears that he did tend to hold down most of the time, which detracted from his appearance, and he also appeared to be a little heavy browed and frowning at us today, not as happy as I have seen him in the past.  Well developed cheeks and rounded muzzle, chin is just strong enough.  Well opened large blue eyes, set apart and obliquely.  Quite a weighty lad, yet retaining muscular feel to his long body, limbs and paws in proportion, tail could be a fraction bushier.  Well groomed bluish white coat is fairly dense and shows good contrast with mid bluish grey points colouring.  He rather gave the impression that he would prefer to be somewhere else today!
4TH, LYNCH’S CHESAWOOD BURLINGTONBERTIE, SEAL COLOURPOINTED, 15.03.08
Another boy who seemed to want to use his ears as antennae today, really spoiling his look by the angle he insisted on holding them at, and they could be a fraction larger for better balance.  Good breadth to top of head, well developed cheeks and muzzle, reasonable strength to chin.  Large, well opened eyes are set slightly obliquely, good blue colour but shows some brindling to the mask particularly around the eyes.  Good body size and weight, well toned with short neck and fairly broad chest, medium length legs and firm large tufted paws, nice tail length to balance.  His pale beige coat was a little patchy in colours along his back and sides, albeit still showing contrast with deep seal points colour, darker patches on his tummy, and a little more attention to presentation was needed.

CLASS 143a     AC COLOURPOINTED/MITTED RAGDOLL ADULT FEMALE
1ST, CC WITHHELD, O’DEA’S HAPPINESS PRINCESS ROSEBUD, 66, SEAL COLOURPOINTED, 01.03.06
A pretty, mature female, who unfortunately was not in the best frame of mind today, being uncharacteristically bad tempered and extremely difficult to handle.  She has a very pleasing Ragdoll look, the head is broad with a flat plane between medium sized ears that tilt forwards slightly, rounded cheeks and muzzle.  Super deep blue eye colour, but she tended to make her eyes look a little too large and bold in appearance, particularly when she was sharing some very unladylike language with us, and this did tend to spoil her appearance somewhat.  Good sized girl, well proportioned body and limbs, with deep seal coloured tail to balance well.  Very well groomed girl, lovely contrast between her pale beige fairly dense coat and the velvety seal points.  I was sorry to have to withhold her certificate, but her temperament let her down badly today, and her eye shape was a little too round, no doubt because she was so feisty this morning.  I do hope this was just a one-off lapse!

2ND, MISKELLY’S EMERISLE SEALED WITHAKISS, 66, SEAL COLOURPOINTED, 01.03.08
This young lady shares the same birthday as the first placed female, but is a couple of years younger and still looks rather immature, I feel she needs more time to develop, particularly her cheeks and muzzle which still look a little narrow for the breed.  Good flat plane between medium sized ears that tilt forwards gently.  Her eyes are a deep blue colour, but appear a little small and deep set, especially as she could not be persuaded to open them fully.  Good body size and structure, well proportioned with medium length legs, large paws and long bushy tail to balance.  Her coat was silky on top and well presented, lovely pale beige colour to contrast with seal points, but her sides and tummy needed more attention.  A little shy, but still handled well.

CLASS 156       BROWN/BLUE TABBY/TABBY & WHITE MAINE COON KITTEN MALE
Five promising examples of the breed in this class, the older boys taking the places today, though the delightful young lad in pen 100 will, I’m sure, catch them up soon, just a shame he was up against the more developed boys, my thanks to the exhibitors for such a pleasant challenge!
1ST & BOB, KILMARTIN’S RUMTUMTUGGER DE NIRO, 64 41, BROWN CLASSIC TABBY, 11.09.08
A promising lad, looking every inch the film star name he has!  Very pleasing head proportions, the length to breadth ratio is really spot-on, he has high cheek bones and cheeks filling out well.  Nicely placed ears are large, with good width at the base, well furnished.  Uniform width to nose, lovely shallow concave curve to the profile, pencil straight line to deep firm chin, excellent strength already to his square muzzle.  Expressive, full and round vibrant almost copper coloured eyes, spaced apart and slightly obliquely.  Well grown lad, of substantial weight and proportions for his age, yet still looking balanced, with a long, muscular body, good breadth to the chest already, substantial and proportionate limbs, huge tufted and long flowing tail.  Nicely patterned brown classic tabby coat, still looking just a touch kittenish and fluffy but showing defined markings all round.  Friendly boy, happy to be judged and he showed himself off beautifully.
2ND, ECCLES’ JULESCOON BERTIE PAN, 64 41, BROWN CLASSIC TABBY, 29.07.08
Another very handsome boy, slightly older than my winner but very similar in size and stature.  Good head proportions, the length being slightly more than the breadth, high cheek bones and fairly full cheeks, a little more definition between the cheeks and his square muzzle would enhance the balanced look.  Uniform width to nose, with shallow concave curve to the profile.  He was none too keen today for me to check his bite fully, which appeared from my quick assessment just a tad uneven.  Wonderful ear size and set, large and tall with good width at the base, well tufted.  Full, round green eyes, just slightly two tone at the moment, very alert and inquisitive expression.  Excellent body size and structure, with substantial limbs and huge paws that he is growing into well!  Good length tail to balance.  Very clear definition to the brown tabby patterning, particularly the front half of his body, with black markings on a warm copper agouti ground colour, strong outline of a butterfly over the shoulders, strong spine line and stripes on either side, a touch more attention to his underparts would be beneficial.
3RD, ROBERTS’ CELTICOON ASWAN BLUE, 64 41a, BLUE CLASSIC TABBY, 10.08.08
I did like this young man, though he was really quite shy and apprehensive whilst out of his pen, trembling slightly and just needing to be cuddled, which we were both delighted to do!  Lovely size and balance already, wonderful head shape and proportions, super tall and large ears that are set high and with good width at the base, well tufted.  Showing strength to muzzle area, level bite.  Full, round eyes in a slightly oblique setting, two tone colour of amber with green centres.  A powerful and weighty feel to the body and substantial limbs, huge tufted paws and a long flowing tail to balance.  His blue tabby coat has more definition to the patterning around his head and shoulders, with blue markings on a cool mushroomy beige agouti ground colour, and he appears to be studiously wearing a pair of pale mushroom beige spectacles around his eyes, adding to his appeal.  Fairly wide and solid blue spine line.  A very gentle boy.

CLASS 156a     BROWN/BLUE TABBY/TABBY & WHITE MAINE COON KITTEN FEMALE
1ST, GARDNER’S FELLPURRS MIRANDA, 64 41, BROWN CLASSIC TABBY, 12.09.08
Quite an attractive female, wearing a well patterned glossy coat, still a little kittenish in texture, and just needing a little more attention to the tummy area.  Good head proportions, being medium in length and slightly less wide, high cheek bones and cheeks filling out well.  Lovely ears for size and set, long tufts.  Uniform width to nose with lovely curve to the profile, straight line from pinkish nose leather to strong chin, with a touch of white around the mouth, good square contours to muzzle.  Full, round copper coloured eyes, she did tend to look just a touch startled until she relaxed.  Good body length and fairly strong limbs, large paws, ideally I would prefer her to be a little heavier and more substantial for her age.

CLASS 181       SILVER TABBY SERIES MAINE COON NEUTER
I was sorry to withhold the BOB on an exhibit I have judged in the past, but for me today she just did not have the correct balance to the head proportions, a little more length to the head would have improved her look enormously.

1ST, PC WITHHELD, CELTICOON MAKEAWISH, 64 41es, TORTIE SILVER CLASSIC TABBY FEMALE, 23.11.07
I was sorry to withhold the PC on this young lady, I felt that she really needs more time to mature and develop.  In particular I would like to see a stronger and more defined square muzzle to improve the look and balance of her head, which is medium in length and slightly less wide.  Full, round vivid green eyes are set slightly obliquely and apart.  Large ears, tall and well tufted.  Uniform width to nose with shallow concave curve to the profile.  Fairly well grown and well proportioned, limbs, tufted paws and tail balance well.  Well presented, wearing a glossy top coat with strong silver tabby markings, just a dusting of red tortie markings on the coat, more generous amounts of red on the ears and head.  Lovely natured girl.

Mrs S Hamilton

A long time since I have judged at a P & B, but I was happy to be back, many thanks to
Jackie and the committee for the invitation and huge thanks to Chris Swift my fellow NWCC
committee member who braved a day out with the Burmese and Foreigns. Chris you were
super, I’m looking forward to our next day together.
AC BURMESE IMPERIAL GRAND CHAMPION – FEMALE
IGR CC W/H BOARDMAN’S GR CH NICANORY DAISY MAY. Mature, though rather
overweight girl, which immediately detracted from the overall elegance expected of a
Burmese. Good shape and length to limbs, tail slightly short to balance. Short, wide wedge,
gently rounded top of head, rather flat brow. Pleasing nose break, level, firm chin, correct
bite. Expressive chartreuse toned eyes, set wide apart. Good shape and set to medium sized
ears. Warm seal brown coat, slightly long and open today, also showing some scurf around
base of spine. Very good tempered, however the “Imperial” is an award for cats that are “next
to perfection”, so today I’m afraid she missed out.
ASIAN SMOKE OR BURMILLA ADULT – FEMALE
WRONG PATTERN HOLT & HIGGINS NEMOREZ ALLTHATHEAVENALLOWS (72
43a). Compact, though elegant girl, showing well shaped body and proportionate limbs,
correct tail to balance. Lovely short, wide wedge, nicely rounded top of head and brow.
Pleasing profile break and chin, correct bite. Large, expressive yellow toned eyes, beautifully
set. Super ears for shape and set. Short, close lying coat, FEX blue over mid mushroom
undercoat, unfortunately this girl appears to be beautifully ticked and not shaded. Clear ‘M’
to forehead, spectacles to eyes, tracings across cheeks, slight thumb prints to ears, slightly
darker spine line, good colour up hocks, solid colour tail tip. Delightful temperament. So
sorry I had to “Wrong Pattern” her today, had she been shown as a 72 45a, I would have had
no hesitation in awarding her a CC.
ASIAN TABBY (SPOTTED, CLASSIC, MACKEREL) ADULT – FEMALE
BOB W/H KEMP’S CH NATZKATZ JUBULANI (72 45sq). Small girl, though of quite
good weight for her size, good shape to body and limbs, balancing tail. Short wedge of good
width, rounded top of head and brow. Just acceptable nose break, shallow, slightly receding
chin, correct bite. Well shaped, sized and set green toned eyes. Acceptable ears, showing tufts
at the tips. Short, close lying coat showing brown ticking over a bright silver undercoat.
Unfortunately this girl has a large patch on her neck lacking full coat, there is however some
evidence of hair re-growth, so hopefully she’ll soon be back to show condition. She was not
in the best of humours either!
ASIAN SMOKE OR BURMILLA KITTEN – FEMALE
1 BOB HOLT & HIGGINS NEMOREZ COMEDANCE WTIHME (72 43n). Well grown
young lady, elegant body, well shaped limbs, nicely balancing tail. Short, wide wedge,
rounded top and brow. Good nose break, level chin of reasonable depth, correct bite. Well
shaped and set, green toned eyes. Ears good for shape, slightly high set at present. Pleasing
short, close lying coat, appears FEX caramel over cool toned mushroom, though some parts
of the coat are predominantly ticked, whilst other parts are shaded, so today I gave her the
benefit of the doubt, but I would suggest her owners keep a watchful eye on her coat pattern
development. Clear ‘M’ to forehead, slight broken necklace, good colour up hocks, solid
colour tail tip. Lovely temperament.
SNOWSHOE NEUTER ASSESSMENT
MERIT TO MACKENZIE’S COLDENUFFORSNOW QANUK 83aw MN. Elegant boy of
very good size, weight and muscle. Proportionate limbs, shapely oval paws, correct tail to
balance. Medium size to head, showing good width, slightly rounded top of head, flatish
forehead. Nose slightly long in proportion to head, showing a slight dip. Level chin of good
depth, correct bite. Typically walnut shaped eyes, mid blue in colour. Well set, pleasing
shape, size and set to ears. Short coat with desired resilient texture, lying well. Face shows
balanced inverted ‘V’, white bib, neat white mittens and boots. Good blue points colour,
medium blue shading to body. A pleasing chap, who I have no hesitation in awarding a Merit
to!
MERIT TO MACKENZIE’S DEANFIELD FANCIFUL 83w FN. Weighty, elegant girl of
very good size and muscle. Shapely body, proportionate limbs, dainty oval paws, tail good
for shape and length. Medium head of good width, flat top of head and brow. Good nose
showing very slight dip, giving desired two planes. Firm, level chin, correct bite. Attractive,
deep blue eyes, well shaped and set. Short coat of very good texture, warm seal to points,
considerable shading to body. White to chin, bib and even white mittens and boots. Very
gentle, shy girl, deserving of her merit.
CHOCOLATE BURMESE ADULT – MALE
1CC W/H 2 ANDREW’S ISAJEN ACE NINJA. Well grown, muscular boy of good weight.
Good shape to body and limbs, tail correct to balance. Short, wide wedge, showing overly
rounded top of head and brow, together with a very high forehead, not ‘a’ typically Burmese.
Small, rather deep set green toned eyes. Acceptable ears for size and shape, slightly high set.
Rather thick, open mid chocolate coat of reasonable texture, I presume he lives outside.
Really not a happy boy, we just got him back in his pen in time, before he really let fly.
CHOCOLATE BURMESE ADULT – FEMALE
1CC BOB JONES’ SIGISMUND PICCADILLY LIL. Lovely size, weight and muscle to this
elegant girl. Well shaped body, proportionate limbs, balancing, shapely tail. Short, wide
wedge, gently rounded top of head, well rounded brow. Yellow tone to large, expressive
eyes, set wide apart. Very well defined nose break, level, firm chin, correct bite. Neat, well
set ears. Short, close lying warm, even mid chocolate coat of very good texture. Super
temperament and not at all fazed by all the noise going on around her.
2 WILSHAW’S CH ROSSIKHAN CUPCAKE. Compact, though heavy, muscular girl,
beautifully shaped body and limbs, correct tail to balance. Short wedge, rather pinched at the
muzzle. Rounded top of head and brow. Good break, shallow, level chin, correct bite.
Expressive chartreuse eyes, very well set. Very good shape to ears though held so low they
seemed to be horizontal. Super short, close lying coat of silk like texture, pale to mid
chocolate, not as even as it could be. In such a foul mood, which made her very difficult to
handle. Do hope the next time we meet she will be back to her normal loving, intensely
beautiful self. Many of the Burmese at the show seemed very upset today, I did wonder if the
cold draught in that part of the hall might have had something to do with it?

Siamese Imperial Grand Champion, Male;
IMP GR CH BROWNING’S  GR CH PIPPASTRO HAWKMOTH.  61n.   05-05-07.  Caramel Point Balinese, a lad who has the most superb impact & ‘Wow’ factor, if you don’t know what it means take a look at him the next opportunity you get, you will then be in no doubt, if you’ve got it flaunt it, he has & he does.  Wonderfully strong masculine wedge, well balanced by its width creating equilateral triangle, excellent profile, deep strong chin, bite a little untidy.  Ears are large & beautifully wide set, wide base to complement his head strength, some feathery interiors, lovely long wispy fringes at their base.  Stunning eyes, so wonderfully trusting in expression, so soulful you could almost lose yourself, deep vivid blue colour, excellent oriental shape & slant.  Body hard & well muscled, well proportioned legs, his paws were never ever going to be small but are not out of keeping, tail I would prefer a little longer & ideally a slightly fuller more flowing flume.  His coat was longer than it initially appeared its length disguised as it lays so closely along the body, that is not to say I would not prefer it longer, better length on the tummy & some breeches, silky soft fine texture.  Cool magnolia body tone with excellent contrast to the points which are complete & well matched though the tail has a slightly paler tone, very deep brownish taupe colour with a complete mask.  His condition was superb, his manners impeccable, such a beautifully calm & so composed gentle nature.  A wonderful example of what can be achieved in a relatively small breed if you work at it, this exhibitor has & is to be congratulated, later Best Siamese I understand, well deserved.
RES IMP GR CH Not Awarded.  2nd  MULLEN’S  GR CH JOHPAS RED RUDDI.  32a.  06-10-05.  Red Point Siamese, I handled this lad, who actually purred non-stop throughout the process, making him even more unreliable, as it appeared incompatible,  his raging hormones which made him look like a sucked in porcupine, he was withdrawn a little later by his owners which I think under the circumstances was the right thing to do as an explosion appeared imminent.  He was very difficult to give a valid opinion regarding his type due to his heightened state of excitement.  Broad strong wedge but then sucking in his muzzle, his profile very good, good chin & level bite, some acne.  Ears very good for size but the set impossible to comment upon.  Eyes looking very extreme & a little straight set, can’t comment about the colour.  Strong muscular body of good length, standing arched & sucked in indicating he was about to kill his opponent whoever he thought he was, long legs, oval paws, tail bottle brushed so looked a little short as a result.  Coat again could not comment as he was continually fluffed out to make himself look as intimidating as possible.  Body has quite an amount of tonal red shading but the contrast still evident due the intense bright red points.  Certainly could not question his condition which was obviously in fighting form, temperament somewhat hormonal I would say.

Siamese Imperial Grand Premier, Male;
IMP GR PR & RES IMP GR PR Not Awarded.  1st  THORPE’S  GR PR REUDENZA RAZZLE DAZZLE.  32/1.  03-01-06.  Seal Tabby Point Siamese, in most departments a very polished lad of excellent type, just a little short of what I look for in an Imperial but stylish & very pleasing nonetheless.  Longer length slightly narrow wedge, very even lines just a little too sharp & fine on the muzzle, bump on the back of his long skull, almost straight profile, chin requires just a little more depth, bite a fraction over.  Ears large & wide at the base, when he relaxes completely the set is beautiful but he does prick them a fraction on occasion.  Gorgeous eyes, shape & slant typically oriental, beautiful expression, bright intense blue colour.  Lovely neckline which he uses to good effect, firm beautifully toned body, long slender limbs, neat paws, fine tail needs an inch or two to balance his body length.  The coat was tight fitting & a very good shorter length, sleek well cared for glossy sheen.  Quite heavily shaded but still with a perfectly acceptable degree of contrast to his tabby tracings, well marked cheek ribbons, very good ‘M’ on the brow, good leg bracelets, tail rings very acceptable just a little brindled at the base.  His condition & poise were excellent, lovely gentle nature.
2nd  THORPE’S  GR PR  JOHPAS SUNNY-JIM.  32a.  27-04-07.  Red Point Siamese, long lengthy exhibit who again has a most pleasing degree of style.  Long generally well balanced wedge, showing some pinch top his muzzle, near straight profile, quite a good depth of chin, some missing teeth, bite untidy as a result.  Ears large, set low with complementary wide flared base.  Eyes are a very good oriental shape & setting, colour beautiful deep blue, not so expressive as the previous lad, looking slightly more wary.  Long neck, the body long & strong, with slender elegant limbs, neat oval paws, good length fine whiptail.  Coat a little on the long side, laying close  & sleek, well prepared.  Body has some light shading in tonal paler red, with very well defined contrast to his points which are a very good bright shade of red.  Excellent condition, slightly on the tenser side & as result not completely relaxed.

Persian Red/Cream or Tortie Smoke Series Neuter;
1st  PC & BOB.  BRIDGES’S  GR PR HIGHSPOT  GELLIBABY.  6f.  07-10-06.  Cream, this girl has the most stunning soft even cream colour which one takes into account she is Smoke is even more impressive.  Not a large girl but so well proportioned & most pleasing type.  Head well rounded with breadth & fullness to her cheeks, skull nicely rounded, deep stop, short nose, good breadth of muzzle & depth of chin.  Ears are small with well feathered interiors, quite neat & generally low in set, just pricks a mite on occasion.  Gorgeous eyes, large & well rounded, bold appearance, all further enhance by the deep coppery tone.  Body though not large was compact & cobby, low on the well proportioned legs, round paws, short full well prepared brush to her tail.  Though not in the fullest of coats, there was an excellent degree of preparation, which was a very good length & the most had been made to create a degree of fullness to it, some ruff & frill, soft silky texture.  No visible markings to be seen, her top coat very even with only a slightest deepening of colour to her sides, slight amount of masking, impressive contrast to her creamy silver undercoat for the lower third or so of the hair length, the silver also evident on her ruff & beneath her tummy & tail, the actual cream top coat very soft shade of powdered cream.   Her condition was splendid, initially a little uppity but soon settled & was charming in the pen.

Bi-Coloured Ragdoll Kitten, Male;
1st  & BOB.  LYNCH’S  MAGISRAGIS  PERSEPHONE.   66 31.   04-10-08.   Seal Bi-Colour, interesting name for a boy, hence the sex change (been there, done that, got the ‘T’ shirt, so know exactly how it feels).  He could actually do with looking a little more masculine, the cheeks requiring a little more width across & the muzzle a little more developed, reasonable flat plane to the brow gentle dip, nose could show little more evidence of retrousse tip, good chin, bite good despite the swollen gums & double canines due to teething badly.  Ears medium size, open base, well furnished, slight pricked.  Eyes good shape, gentle oblique setting, lovely deep vivid blue colour.  The body is developing length, still to acquire a little more boys development even for his young age, but plenty of time to do so, well proportioned legs & paws, good length tail still to attain a bushier fullness.  Coat very much that of the young, fluffy wispy effect, with some length at the tummy & knickerbockers.  Body is already showing some shading, slightly low inverted white ‘V’ on his face, with the white extending through his chin, chest, tummy & legs, up to the body line on the back legs, the white could ideally have been a little sharper, the remainder of his mask, ears & tail slightly cool toned seal, still obviously to densen more fully.  Very gentle disposition, condition very good.

British Blue-Cream Adult;
1st  CC & BOB.  JAY’S  PINEMARTEN FLOWER.  31a.   16-05-07.  Blue, quite an attractive girl for type but the haphazard white tending to draw the eye & does not work to her advantage as a result.  Head type is generally very good, having a pleasing degree of rounding & reasonable development & fullness to the cheeks, rounded brow, medium length straight nose, adequate chin, bite good.  Ears smaller medium size, well placed.  Eyes of bright golden orange tone, well open round shape & good size. Body pleasing compact conformity, with quite well boned legs & paws, balance moderately heavy medium length tail.  Coat is a fraction soft, density good, could be slightly shorter.  Asymmetrical white on the face tends to distort its shape a little with white flash running up into one ear, the white generally rather more random fashion with smaller patches of blue on the legs, the body mainly blue, which was quite heavily tipped, the contrast could have been sharper & more defined had the some of the liberal scattering of white hairs been tidied up a little, always a problem with a bi-colour, they require a great deal of work combined with skill.  Her condition was excellent & her manners exemplary.

British Tipped Adult, Female;
CC Not Awarded.  1st  BURWELL’S  BURLEAWAY CHINA GIRL.  39.
02-06-07.  Black, pretty girl but overall lacking the degree size & substance to give her the level of maturity that she should by now have attained.   Her head still needs to fill out & round off a little more, quite a good muzzle, rounded brow, chin requires more depth, the bite good.  Ears quite small & neat, very tidy appearance.  Green eyes, very good larger size though could be a littler more fully rounded, black pigmented line to their rim.  The body though rather small was generally a good compact shape, with proportionate legs & paws, well balanced tail.  Coat a mite on the long side but that aside the texture dense & with a very impressive degree of crispness to it.  Excellent silver undercoat with clear silver chin, chest, tummy & beneath her tail, the medium tipping was relatively even with a slight deepening along her lower back, brick nose leather, black paw pads.  Her condition was excellent, her temperament very placid.
Considered for BOB, Not Awarded.  ROBINSON’S  CH PENNYDOWN MOONTIGER.  39.  29-06-07.  Black, I remember this lad as a young kitten with a good degree of potential, his eyes then as now were absolutely gorgeous.  He is as yet a little betwixt & between still to attain a more masculine degree of development in both head & body type, still looking very rangy.  His head requiring greater breadth & fullness to his cheeks, with some jowls giving the initial impression they are fuller than is actually the case, muzzle a little fine, well rounded brow, chin could be deeper, bite good.  Ears medium size a little open at the base & tend to unbalance his head a little.  Black pigmented line round the eyes enhance the size, full well open rounded shape, stunning emerald colour.  Body still to broaden off & is at present rather long, legs I would prefer heavier boned, quite small paws, medium length tail.  Coat a little on the longer side & tends to lay a little flat & very soft.  His tipping though not as even as the girl above was a little lighter, very silver on the cheeks, excellent clear silver undercoat to create a beautiful sparkling mantle effect, excellent brick nose leather with darker pigmented outline, with black lips & paw pads, silver chin, throat, chest & tummy.  Lovely amicable gentle nature, excellent condition.

British Black Silver Tabby Kitten, Male;
1st  & BOB.  HALL’S  CATYKES HARVEY SILVERMOON.  18-11-08.  A most impressive kitten for size & development.  Head already possessing a good degree of rounding with the cheeks starting to fill, rounded brow, straight nose, chin & bite both good.  Ears are moderately small considering his young age, well placed.  Eyes good larger size & round in shape, I gave the benefit of some doubt today with regard to colour in view of his age, hopefully these will attain more evidence of green (or I’ll settle for hazel) as he matures & develops.  Body has good chunky appearance & breadth to his chest, the legs showing quite good bone, round paws, balanced medium length tail.  Coat quite short & dense, still a fraction baby soft only to be expected.  Very good pattern elements all in black & well contrasted by the silver sixpence ground colour.  Clear ribbons on the cheeks, spotted whisker pads, ‘M’ on the brow, lines run over his neck, butterfly on the shoulders, good dorsal lines, linked oysters, good leg bracelets & tail rings, black tip to the tail with solid black heels also, virtually free of tarnishing.   His condition was excellent, confident little chap.

Lilac Burmese Neuter, Male;
PC Not Awarded.  1st  SHANKS’S  ROSSIKHAN JACKSPARROW.  05-01-07. Though looking perhaps a little girly, I very much liked the type of this lad, but his colour let him down.  He has a very pleasing short, wide blunt wedge, quite well rounded top, pleasing break, his chin could have been a little deeper, bite good.  Ears were a good medium size, rounded on the tips, gentle forward tilt, set well.  Eyes gentle slanting top line, requiring a little more depth of curve to the lower line, chartreuse in colour.  Body though firm, was a little on the long side which made his head appear slightly small for balance, slim legs, neat paws, well shaped medium length tail, rounded tip.  Close lying tight fitting sleek well prepared coat, could ideally be just a little shorter.  The colour was a very dark more taupe shade than true frosty dove grey tone, lacking any evidence of pink tones to give it the required warmth.  His condition was excellent & he was an extremely gentle & amenable lad.

Lilac Burmese Neuter, Female;
1st  PC & BOB. HERRINGTON’S  SUGARBOWL HUNKYDORY.  05-07-07.  This girl was something of madam with an ‘eat you for breakfast expression’.  Excellent type,  wedge short & wide, well developed blunt muzzle, top rounding well in both directions with an excellent break, short nose, strong chin, excellent bite (she looked like she wanted to share!).   Ears beautifully set, slight touch of forward tilt, rounded tips & good width at their base.  Lovely eyes, large & the shape well defined, well curved lower line, the colour chartreuse, flashing with indignation that she should be removed from the warm confines of her pen.  Lovely firm body, excellent weight & tone, slim legs, neat paws, slightly short tail of medium thickness rounded tip.  Tight fitting coat  which was short  very sleek with excellent satin like texture.  Her colour was quite a soft dove grey colour which was also even.  Excellent condition, temperamental fiery madam with a degree of attitude.
Also Considered for BOB.  SMITH’S  GR PR MACHIKA DEL CONTE.
06-08-06.  Very handsome lad, type very pleasing to the eye.  Wedge typically short & wide, with a good blunted effect to the muzzle, top rounds well, well defined break, good depth chin, level bite.  Ears medium size, open base & round on the tips, set to complement his wedge.  He has lovely yellowy chartreuse eye colour, tending to scowl, a little which detracted from their size a little, which when he held them open was much improved.   Body strong & muscular, good medium length, rounded chest, well proportioned legs & paws, medium thickness to the tail rounded tip, short of shoulder.  Coat though not quite as short as I would ideally prefer it was beautifully close lying & well prepared, the texture satin like.  Colour could have shown more evidence of pink, but was otherwise a quite warm tone.  His condition & presentation were excellent, extremely grumpy lad who was not showing to best advantage & was quite tense, would have been a worthy BOB winner in his own right.

Caramel Point Siamese Adult, Female;
CC & BOB Not Awarded  1st  LINLATER’S  CH PLEZETOBE PUREANSIMPLE.  18-04-07.  This girl though quite elegant was lacking a little in style for my particular taste, requiring a little more head strength, which as a result was looking a little small in relation to the body for balance.  Medium length but slightly narrow pinched wedge, very good profile, chin requires a little more depth, the bite itself was good.  Ears need to be larger & more flared at the base, she also has a tendency to prick high which further compounds the problem.  The eyes have quite a good oriental shape & slant with an excellent depth of blue, but the expression was a little bland.  Elegant neckline, body lithe & well toned, slim legs, oval paws, fine tail which requires a little more length.  Well prepared coat, was close lying & excellent texture.  Good contrast between the cool magnolia body colour & points which were quite a dark taupe tone but could have been more complete.  Her condition & temperament both excellent.

Tortie Point Siamese Adult;
1st  CC & BOB.  MASON’S  CH EPITOME SWEETDREAMS.  32b 8.  28-10-06.  Caramel, mature & attractive girl who was well grown with no loss of style.  Her wedge has good length & virtually even, let down a little by her undulating profile, good strong chin.  Ears large, set well apart & have very good wide flared base to complement the wedge.  Her eyes are a very good oriental shape & slant, just a little deeper in set than I would have preferred, very good depth of blue.  Excellent body substance, uses her neck well, slender limbs, neat paws, fine tail could be a little longer.  Coat lays well though I would prefer it a little shorter, has a degree of harshness despite every effort to eliminate, some rather thin (looked like former plucked) areas which could well be an attributable factor.  Body showing some light tonal shading with some mottles in the colour, points not as sludgy as I would wish to see, all broken with mainly cooler shades of apricot. Beautifully composed girl in excellent condition.

2nd  CASSAR-SIMMONDS’S  STENIC CIELO MACCHIATO.  32b 2.
28-11-06.  Blue, this girl is very elegant & has a superb coat.  Another girl who was firm & elegant, just looking a little unbalanced in the head type which required more depth to it, good length wedge but showing some pinch to the muzzle, long skull with slight dip, chin requires depth, this slopes back which attributes to the lack of depth, bite good.  Ears are large & wide at the base but she carries them rather tall.  Her eyes are an excellent intense vivid blue, rather wide in shape & could show a little more oriental slant.  Excellent neckline, body is firm & beautifully toned, long slim legs, dainty paws, tail fine but requires more length.  Super coat very short & close lying, wonderfully sleek & glossy, mottled light blue & cream tonal shading with well matched soft blue points showing abundant breaks of varying shades of cream so the contrast is well defined.
3rd  Not Awarded.  4th  ROSEKELL’S  ADATEAM ROSEKELL’S BEAUTY.  32b 1.   17-06-08.  Seal, I fully realise it may appear a little overkill to withhold a 3rd prize on this very sweet natured little miss, but I felt it could be construed as misleading to have just awarded the prize, perhaps indicating that had the other 2 girls not been present she could have obtained a certificate, this action  making it clear that that would not be the case.  Short sharp, fine wedge, with some muzzle pinch, the actual profile good, chin requires more depth, bite good.  Ears small & lack flare at their base, whilst the set itself is quite good.  Her eyes have a wonderful deep intense blue colour but a little too full & wide with a rather startled expression.  Extremely small & dainty, requiring a much greater degree of substance & tone, she is very, very young as yet so hopefully she will develop more tone as she matures, fine boned legs, tiny paws, slightly short fine tail.  Her coat was long & has a very fluffy wispy appearance, which was not typical, lacking the close sleek appearance of her breed.  Body showing some tonal shading, her points though rather back as opposed to seal on the plus side, she does have quite a lot of bright red evident.  Her condition good, but she really does require more substance & size, wonderful temperament.

Caramel Point Siamese Kitten, Female;
1st  & BOB EVANS’S  ROCHVALLEY BELLOTHEBALL.  20-10-08.  Well grown girl a little out of kilter as yet, but this will hopefully resolve in the right direction as she grows up.  Broad strong wedge, profile slightly undulating but young so this has time to pull out.  Strong chin, good bite.  Ears are very large (very), with wide flared base, some forward tilt to resolve as this also has an affect on the eye shape.  The eye colour itself a very intense deep blue colour, the shape a little ‘hang dog’ due to the ears, with a tendency to drop down at the outer corner, as opposed to upward slant.  Wonderfully firm body, excellent tone, good length legs, oval paws, fine whiptail.  Close lying coat, very good shorter length, very good texture, well prepared.  Cooler toned magnolia body, excellent contrast to the points which were as sludgy taupe with a definite brownish overcast & also extremely well matched as you are ever likely to see on a kitten of this age, oak leaf effect on the ears.  Her condition & temperament both exemplary, I did deliberate over the BOB due to the ears & eyes, her colour just tipping the balance in the right direction today.

AV SH Senior Adult;
1st  BOARDMAN’S  CH ARTRO LILAC MOONSTONE.  27c.  03-11-07.  Lilac Burmese, mature girl of excellent type.  Head shows the required, short wide blunt finish to the muzzle, lovely rounded top line, well defined break to short nose, strong chin, marginal bite.  Ears medium size, rounded tips, set to follow the wedge, gentle tilt forward.  Eyes are large & well defined in shape, chartreuse in colour, slightly mood expression.  Beautifully firm weighty body, with well shaped legs, small oval paws, gentle taper to the tail which was a little short of the shoulder, well rounded tip.  Lovely coat, short & close lying, sleek satin like texture, subtle surface sheen.  Quite an even soft dove grey tone, throughout, with a pleasing degree of warmth to it also.  Her condition was excellent & she has a very composed temperament.
2nd  KIDD’S  IMP GR CH KRESTA EDWIN.  18a.  14-03-01.  British Blue Silver Tabby, very well known British lad looking in fine form.  Mature & quite a masculine looking chap, head well rounded & filled at the cheeks, the muzzle a little too fine, rounded brow, chin requires more depth, bite good. Smaller, well placed medium size ears, looking neat & tidy.  Eyes round & well open shape, good larger size, golden light orange tone.  Well grown lad, good firm compact body, well proportioned legs & paws, slightly pointed tail tip to otherwise very good tail.  Coat good shorter length, very good density, excellent degree of crispness to it.  He has a very impressive degree of pattern with all the correct classic elements, in a soft shade of blue all contrasting well against the silvery blue ground colour, excellent facial markings.  He was beautifully composed & in lovely condition.
3rd    DAVIDSON’S  GR CH ANTIGUASON SILVER ZINNIA.  30s.
X3rd  GILES’S  CH RAWEKE BROWN HOLLY.  27.

AV SH Resident In Lancs Adult;
1st  CREATON & WALKER’S  CURLU NATE.  79L 15.  19-04-08.  Longhair Black Selkirk Rex, such a beautifully grown & impressively mature youngster with superb coat.  Very masculine looking head, broad well rounded cheeks, excellent breadth to his whisker pads giving a matchbox shaped muzzle, slightly rounded brow, excellent depth chin, level bite.  Ears medium size & set well, beautifully furnished interiors, with tufted tips also.  Eyes to be just a little critical could be a little larger, the shape round & open, very good degree of brightness to the colour of range with a slightly dual tone rim showing green (but no points, so merely a comment).  Thick muscular neck, very well grown & developed body, of slightly longer length than a ‘Brit’, heavy & well muscled, strong legs, strong well boned legs, large paws, well proportioned tail with good long flowing curly brush to it.  His coat was beautifully bouncy & soft with very good degree of length & a splendid amount of loose curl which parted easily, the curl was tighter on the neck, throat & tummy, beautifully prepared, wonderful long curling whiskers & eyebrows.  Very good black effect with some greying on his impressive ruff.  He was in splendid condition & his manners were pure charm, wonderfully confident showy individual.
2nd  TOWERS’S  CH FERNYAULGH  MISS BLUEBELL.  27a.  25-03-06.  Blue Burmese, a ‘*!@#’ of impressive type, pity the same could not be said of her manners.  Typical short wide ‘Burmese’ wedge, very good blunt effect to the muzzle, top rounds well, short nose with excellent break, good depth chin, bite keen to test.  The ears more medium size, set well apart, rounded tips, gentle forward tilt.  Eyes are large & the shape well defined, slightly watery, faded chartreuse tone, flashing with rage.  Body medium length, excellent weight for size, slim legs, neat small paws, tail slightly short for balance, rounded tip.  Very close lying coat, could perhaps be a little shorter, but that aside it was beautiful satin like texture & very sleek.  Attractive mid tone blue with silvery effect on the shorter more rounded areas, muzzle, brow & limbs.   Apart from the slightly watery eyes, her condition appeared to be sound, temperament well…………..fiery would cover it.

AV British Resident Outside Lancs, Adult;

2nd  COULTER’S  JACOU JEANI WITHLTBROWNHAIR.  27b.  18-08-08.  Chocolate, this little miss has quite a personality was full of fun.  Here head needs to acquire a little more width, the wedge quite short, good blunted muzzle, rounded top, good break, needs a touch more chin, bite good.  Ears medium size, very well placed, touch of tilt forward & rounded tips.  Eyes good for size, the shape still to define a little more fully, dual chartreuse tone.  Lithe firm body, slender limbs, neat paws, tail of medium length a little short of shoulder, small irregularity at its tip.  Good shorter length coat, which was close lying, very good texture.  Slightly uneven chocolate colour, with deeper colour to the mask still.  Excellent condition & temperament.

Dilute Colour Burmese Kitten;
1st  NEGUS’S  ROSSIKHAN DARLING DAISY.  27a.  21-07-08.  Blue, gorgeous type, if a little dainty for her age, recent evidence of spaying with her shaved side.  Excellent head type, short wide wedge, blunt muzzle, beautifully rounded top line, well defined break, short nose, good chin & bite.  Ears are larger medium size, rounded tips, slight hint of forward tilt, wide base.  Lovely eyes, large in size, curved lower line with gentle slant from the top line, chartreuse colour, slightly mischievous expression.  Body is undoubtedly very dainty & petite but her weight was good, slim legs, tiny paws, well balanced medium tail with slightly fused tip.  Excellent coat, very sleek, close lying, lovely sheen, growing in shaved area one side.  Excellent mid blue colour, with subtle silvering softening the colour.  Her condition was excellent & her temperament a delight.
2nd Not Awarded.  3rd  NEGUS SESUANE JASPER.  27c.  07-07-08.  Lilac, I did, I confess feel a little mean in withholding the 2nd prize, but this young lad who is virtually adult was so out of kilter, he was also suffering from coat & colour problems I thought it would be misleading to do otherwise.  Head is rather small for the body proportions, broad in relation to its length, the muzzle also broad if not quite blunt, rounded top, quite a deep break, bump & roll off from the nose, chin okay, bite good.  Ears smaller medium size, set very wide, forward tilt.  The eyes are rather small & set a little deep & straight, lacking the more defined shape required, yellowy chartreuse colour.  Body though not overly large was rather plump & the legs appearing rather short, oval paws, tail needs a little more length.  Coat slightly fluffy & extremely soft, as opposed to close lying & sleek.  Colour very rusty coloured taupe tone with a more brownish tinge.  His condition was super & he has such an amazing gentle nature, hopefully he is going through a transitional teenage phase & it will all sort itself out later.

AC Oriental/Siamese/Balinese Novice Kitten;
1st  HIRST’S  TOHGAR RED ADARE.  32a.  11-12-08.  Red Point, this lad though a little toppy on the ears & still very small, was very flashy.  Lovely wedge this little chap has, profile developing well, chin could use a fraction more depth, bite good, swollen gums.  Ears large & wide flare at their base, slightly tilted tips tending to be little overlarge at present, set well apart. Eyes have oriental shape & slant, very good depth of colour.  Body small as yet & quite fine but time on his side, slender limbs, dainty paws, excellent long stringy tail.   Coat still very typically baby with the slightly transparent effect often seen on very you Reds & Creams, with the touch of wispiness that babies have, well prepared.  Clean clear near white with excellent contrast to the points, still to brighten up a little more.  Most beautifully presented in his blanket nest, in excellent condition, very amicable little chap.
2nd  DAVIES’S  WICCANWAYS MORGANA.  24.  22-111-08.  Seal Point, quite a pleasing young miss, who could be a little bigger perhaps. Medium length well balanced wedge, some kitten teething pinch, developing profile, good chin, teething.  Ears well placed when relaxed, could be a little more flared at the base, good for size.  Intense deep blue to the eyes, good shape & slant.  Though perhaps a mite dainty she was firm & good weight for size, slim legs, neat paws, good fine tail of well balanced length.  Coat could be slightly shorter, close & well prepared.  Cool clear beige body, excellent contrast but the points a little too cold in tone, slight amount of brindling & the tail still has to densen to colour more completely, but very young so ample time to do so.  Excellent condition & temperament.
3rd  DAVIES’S  BURNTHWAITES SUPERTOUPER.  24a.

AC Oriental Kitten Outside Lancs;
1st  FULLERTON’S  STARAPPEAL SCENESTEALER.  62 20a.  25-10-08.  Blue Tabby, pleasing stylish looking lad for type.  Good even lines to the medium wedge,  the profile virtually straight, excellent chin, level bite.  Ears are large & set well, just requiring a marginally wider flare to their base, some feathered interiors, with wispy fringes at their base.  Lovely eyes, green in colour, very pleasing oriental shape & slant, loved the expression.  Body lithe & firm, developing good length, slim legs quite neat paws for an OLH, good length tail, still to attain a little more evidence of plume.  Silky texture to the coat, the length coming along well, longer on the tummy & britches.  Pattern not the best somewhere betwixt & between at present, not definite enough for Tabby & no evidence as yet of distinct clearing to be shaded, the colour very solid along his back, more definite facial tracings & leg bracelets.   Quite a soft shade of blue with a bluish creamy beige tone to his chest, tummy & inner leg areas.  Super condition & a lovely gentle nature.
2nd  LINTON’S  SIARUNG THFUTUREISORANGE.  37f.  02-08-08.  Cream, well grown youngster.  Head has a longer slightly narrow wedge, some pinch to the muzzle, good profile, adequate chin, scissored over bite.  Ears are large but he is inclined to prick these rather tall & they could also be a little wider at the base.  Eyes of good green, quite a good oriental shape & set. Good length of neck, long well toned body, long legs, skinned on the left hock, oval paws, good length of tail.  Coat could be slightly shorter, but was nonetheless close & well prepared.  Colour of warm cream with quite a heavy pattern which will hopefully clear as he matures.  Very composed gentle nature, condition very good.

AC Siamese/Balinese Kitten Outside Lancs;
1st  PALMER’S  STYPHERSON TOP DRAWER.  32/1.  01-07-08.  Seal Tabby Point, undeniably eye catching & actually caused me a degree of deliberation, a case in point where a cat is more than the sum of its parts, it is the sum of its whole.  If ears were everything ‘No contest’, they aren’t.  She has beautifully strong head type, with excellent strength to her good length well balanced wedge, excellent profile, good depth chin, bite good.  Now the ears, these are huge & the initial reaction is a little OTT, their very wide base attributing to the very low set, I confess I worked extremely hard to get her to act interested enough to prick the tips up above the head line, her beautifully serene composed attitude not assisting her case in this respect.  Her eyes are absolutely gorgeous, stunning intense blue & with a beautifully defined oriental shape & slant, wonderful haughty yet gentle expression.  Excellent well grown firm body, lovely tone, elegant limbs, neat paws, fine whiptail could maybe use an inch to be critical.  Lovely cheek ribbons, spotted whisker pads, good ‘M’, some thumbprints, well marked leg bracelets & good tail rings also, with colour well up the hocks, warm toned lightly shaded body, still more than evident contrast.  Her condition was superb & her temperament a pure joy, wonderfully confident.  For a personal opinion, whilst I honestly think her ears will always unbalance her a little, she may (just possibly) grow into them a little more as she matures but whether you like them or not, the remainder of her type is still excellent & ears are only part of the equation.
2nd  HIRST TOHGAR BY DESIGN.  32/3.  12-10-08.  Chocolate Tabby Point, stylish young fellow but let done a little by the eyes.  Very pleasing even well balanced wedge of medium length, the profile also very good, quite good depth of chin, level bite.  Ears large set well apart & quite low, wide base, slightly too much bonnet forward, which has an adverse affect on the eyes.  These looked a little too small & deep set, which detracted from the more typical oriental shape & slant, the colour a very good bright deep blue tone.  Firm lithe little chap developing well, slim legs, neat paws, good length fine whip tail.  Short, close well prepared coat, lovely texture.  Well placed thumbprints on the ears, quite subtle cheek ribbons as yet, the ‘M ‘ showing clearer, delicate leg markings, tail rings improve towards the tip, tracings all in quite a warm chocolate tone, excellent contrast to the clear ivory body colour. Excellent condition & temperament.
3rd  JONES’S  SARAMESE GOODLUCKCHARM.  24c.

AC 32 Series Siamese Neuter;
1st  THORPE’S  GR PR REUDENZA RAZZLE DAZZLE.  32/1.
2nd  PAGE’S  PR ASHJOLEX ZACHARYBINX.  32/1.  27-04-07.  Extremely flashy but very fine & too narrow.  His wedge is very long & impressively even but requires more width to give it strength, long skull also compounds the problem, very good profile, chin has depth but slopes a little, bite over.  Ears large & with wide well flared base, set well but again needs more width between.  Gorgeous eyes, very oriental in both shape & slant with a very intense deep bright blue colour & lovely expression.   Long elegant neckline, long lithe body, long slim legs, oval paws, good length fine whip tail.  His coat was well prepared & lay close, quite a good shorter length also.  Lightly shaded & with excellent contrast still to his tabby tracings, well marked cheek ribbons, clear ‘M’ on the brow, whisker spots, slight thumbprints on the ears, leg bracelets excellent, tail rings better towards the tip.  His condition was excellent, he has a wonderful completely relaxed nature & shows extremely well.

AC Oriental Self, Neuter;
1st  HALLIDAY’S  PR TOHGAR TERRACOTA.  37d.  16-07-07.  Red, very composed lad of generally very good type.  Good length wedge, some muzzle pinch, head requires a little more depth in profile, this is exacerbated due to some dip in profile & the chin requiring a little more strength, also some acne present, some gingivitis also.  Ears well set, good wide base, good for size.  Eyes have very pleasing oriental shape & slant, with a very good bright green tone.  Firm well muscled body of very good length, with slender limbs, oval paws, reasonably well balanced length tail.  Close lying coat, could be just a little shorter ideally, glossy & well prepared.  Attractive bright red tone showing spotted base pattern, which was a little too contrasted for my preference, with more defined tail rings also.  His physical condition was excellent, a gentle relaxed lad to handle.

AC Oriental/Siamese/Balinese Limit Neuter;
1st  BLACKBOURN’S  PLEZETOBE PARDON MYFRENCH.  24a.  18-04-07.  Blue Point Siamese, very apt name for this lady whose language & behaviour were as blue as her colour.  Tends to bonnet her ears quite a bit (which seemed to be a general problem on the day, in this section), but aside was quite a stylish girl.  Medium length well balanced wedge, almost straight profile, adequate chin, no certificate involved & as she was so obviously unhappy I did not check her bite.  Ears medium size well set, good open base though as stated tilts rather too forward.  Eyes very good oriental shape & slant, deep blue tone, flashing with indignation.  Lithe toned body, medium length, slender limbs, neat paws, very good length fine whip tail.  Coat was quite a good shorter length & was close lying, very good texture.  Fair amount of shading but of a good soft tonal blue tone so did not detract unduly, still more than adequate contrast to the matching mid blue points.  Condition was excellent, demeanour could be much improved…………something of a madam.

AC Oriental Neuter Outside Lancs;
1st  NELSON’S  PR TIDLYPOO JUSTIN TYME.  38d.  25-02-06.  Red Spotted Tabby, interesting as his pattern though visible is not as well contrasted as a great number of ‘Red Selfs’.  Shorter length broad wedge, excellent profile, needs a little more chin, bite good.  Ears are set wide apart, quite well open flare to their base, could be a little larger.  The eyes have quite a pleasing green tone & are a very good oriental shape & slant.  Well muscled body of very good length, long legs, oval paws, well balanced fine tail but with a very slight imperfection at the extremity.  Close lying coat, good shorter length, well prepared.  Generally good facial markings but the body spotting was very superficial, better leg bracelets, adequate tail rings.  Colour a pleasing bright warm shade of red, just requiring a greater degree of contrast between the ground colour & pattern. His condition was excellent as was his temperament.
Marked as Wrong Pattern.  DUNN’S  PIPPASTRO MINALOOSH.  62 43bs.   12-05-07.  Chocolate Silver Shaded Oriental Longhair, ‘is what is says on the tin’, but didn’t in the pen.  Another case (as far as I am concerned) where the pattern is wrong (& yes I did hear the comment!, but hey! I bred them myself so know how it works).  A most stylish exhibit of excellent type (as ever from this prefix), good length even wedge, excellent profile, good depth chin, bite good.  Ears large, with wide base, very good inner ear furnishings, beautifully set fixed position, fringed wispy base.  Expressive eyes, oriental in both shape & slant, with a very good bright green colour.  Elegant neckline, long well toned body, long legs, not the daintiest of paws perhaps (goes with the territory), well balanced plumed tail.  Coat silky & soft with generally quite good length, laying along the body, full britches.  Now we come to pattern, the facial markings are showing strong cheek stripes & clear ‘M’, body pattern is showing some linked spots but these are quite definite & sharply contrasted, against the creamy chocolate silver ground colour, yes there is a silver undercoat as there would be with any silver patterned cat but this has not in any way pushed the pattern up to give the suffused the surface pattern to make it Shaded, leg bracelets are again very definite, nothing in the way of tail rings to speak of, solid chocolate heel markings & outer edges of the paws.  Wonderful temperament & condition.
