Mr J Hansson

Many, many thanks to Ann & Brian for the invitation to judge once again, as President of the club I am proud to say what a lovely friendly show it was, having judged at the 1st & 3rd Exemption shows it was pleasure to return & see it all grown up & at Championship status.  I would like to thank fellow judge Allison Lyall for travelling just to steward & hope I can return the favour sometime.  My apologies for the slight delay in submitting this report, due to gremlins, when I was about to submit it on the first occasion I found myself with 11 pages of squares in place of my report, so had to start all over, needless to say I was not very happy, but hey ………………it happens.  To end the quality of the exhibits was in the main, superb, my sincere thanks to the exhibitors.

Imperial Grand Premier, Female;
IMP GR PR  DAVIES’S  CH & GR PR SONNYWOOD NUTMEG.  66e. 20-05-02.  Seal Tortie Colourpointed, gorgeous lady of excellent quality & a very impressive degree of presence.  Lovely type, Broad head, breadth to the cheeks, well developed muzzle, flat plane with width between the ears, gentle dip to the medium length nose, with retrousse effect to its tip, chin has good depth, bite good.  Ears set well apart, medium size, good interior furnishings, slight forward tilt, rounded on the tips.  Large eyes, well open, set well apart, slightly oblique setting, deep vivid blue colour.  Body showing excellent development having both length & depth, well boned medium length legs, round paws, excellent full bushy tail of length to balance.  Coat most beautifully presented & prepared, silky texture combined with good degree of density, full ruff to frame  her face, excellent knickerbockers.  Lightly mottled shaded body with excellent contrast to the points of well broken seal intermingled with shades of red in all the points, some of which are brighter, mottles on the ears.  Her condition was absolutely splendid, has a degree of attitude but nothing malicious & well worth the effort, she was later Best Neuter which was well justified.

Grand Champion, Male;
GR CH PERCIVAL’S  GR CH BLUEGEMS TEDDIE  BEAR.  66 31.  08-08-07.  Blue Bi-Coloured, looking very handsome & well turned out.  He has such a gentle look, head excellent, possessing width to the cheeks, well developed muzzle, very good flat plane to the forehead with gentle dip to the nose & very good retrousse effect to the tip, good depth chin & his bite level bite.  Ears good medium size, wide base, set wide with touch of forward tilt, rounded tips, well furnished interiors.  Lovely eyes being large & well open, gentle oblique setting, a most pleasing bright blue colour.  Body well developed, muscular & firm, good length, well boned legs & paws, good length bushy tail.  Coat beautifully prepared & very good length, pleasing density, silky texture, good ruff & full knickerbockers.  Symmetrical inverted white ‘V’ on the mask with white flick to his brow, white chin extending through his chest, tummy & front legs with white on the back legs to the line of the body, the remainder of his mask, ears & tail a warm seal brown, small patch of seal on his left back hock, body warmly shaded in beige with a white zigzag up his back.  Wonderful condition & his temperament so beautifully composed & relaxed, charming manners.  Later Best in Show Adult, congratulations.
RES GR CH Not Awarded.  2nd  MARJASON’S  CH WERMARBEARS PRINCECHARMING.  66a.  07-11-07.  Blue Colourpointed, well presented lad of balanced type,  but appearing a little out of coat.  Head looking a little too wedge shaped, requiring a little more breadth & fullness across the cheeks & a little more muzzle development, flat plane to the brow, requires a little more evidence in profile to create a retrousse tip, chin & bite good.  Ears are quite large, set well with slight hint of forward tilt, wide base, well furnished.  Well open eyes, gentle expression, requiring a little more depth of colour, hint of obliqueness.  Body not overly large but well proportioned, with good legs & paws, reasonable brush to the medium length tail.  Coat requires a little more density & appeared to have a plucked effect over his back area, the texture silky & fine.  His colour as result of the thinner areas on his back looking a little uneven in the shading, medium blue points colour so the contrast still very good.  His condition was excellent & he was a gentle natured lad.

AC Colourpointed or Mitted Adult, Male;
1st  CC & BOB.  GLEDSTONE’S  ADATELO JOSEPH.  66.  13-08-08.  Seal Colourpointed, very young lad who though still with a degree of maturity to fulfil is nonetheless very well grown & developed.  Broad head with width across the cheeks, the muzzle well developed, flat plane to the skull, excellent profile, with gentle dip to his slightly retrousse nose tip, good chin, excellent level bite.  Ears set well apart, medium size, wide base, well furnished interiors, round on the tips, complete with gentle forward tilt.  Eyes good larger size, well open shape, gentle oblique setting , beautiful intense blue colour, gentle expression. Lovely body , long & with very good muscular hardness for his very young age, well boned strong legs & paws, tail has good full bushy effect & balances well.  Coat has very good length, with a good degree of density, already with some ruff developing & full knickerbockers, silky texture & with the exception of some stud tail which requires attention his presentation was otherwise excellent.   His coat is as yet exceptionally clear but looking  little too white however he does have a warm glow of subtle beige shading coming through beneath, superb contrast to his warm seal brown points, the mask still to fully complete.  & he s slight degree of paling to his chin.  His temperament was quite superb & stud tail apart beautiful  condition.
2nd  FITZPATRICK’S  EMERISLE POLAR FLOW.  66f.  20-05-03.  Cream Colourpointed, more mature lad & in also handsome.  The width across the cheeks is well developed, as was his muzzle, flat forehead, gentle dip & slight retrousse nose profile, good chin, level bite.  Ears medium size, round tips, good furnishings, just set a little too far back on his head which detracted from the setting.  Very good bright blue colour to his eyes, well open shape, with a hint of obliqueness to the setting.  Strong neck, muscular body of good length, well boned legs & good size paws, long full brush tail.  His coat well prepared though could be a little denser, reasonable length, some evidence of ruff & full knickerbockers, texture silken.  Very good cream points with soft bloom on the ears, excellent contrast to the body with its soft toned cream tonal shading.  Condition & temperament both very impressive.
3rd  LANCASHIRE’S  FILESIO SOUTHERN COMFORT.  66w.  26-01-08.  Seal Mitted, more mature lad.  Impressive head, wide across the cheeks, good muzzle, very good flat plane to the brow, profile has a gentle dip, with the slightly retrousse nose tip, chin has reasonable depth, bite good.  Ears medium size, rounded tips, good inner furnishings at their wide base, touch of forward tilt.  Eyes have good depth of blue to the colour, quite large & well open, slightly oblique setting.  Body has good length & despite appearing a little lean was well muscled, strong legs, large round paws, tail has a slight taper, good be a little fuller brush. Coat good length well prepared, good density, just a little flatter perhaps than I would have ideally prepared, still to achieve a fuller ruff, good knickerbockers.   Has white chin which extends through the chest & tummy but only just by a very thin trickle of white along the tummy itself, white mittens on the front legs, & to the line of the body on the back, body very heavily shaded to the point of being hooded, his mask ears & tail & front legs a rather cold tone deal with some brindling.  Condition & temperament both excellent.
4th  LYNCH’S  CHESAWOOD  BURLINGTON BERTIE.  66.  15-03-08.  Seal Colourpointed, very composed & well mannered.  Head ideally requiring a little more breadth across the cheeks, quite a good muzzle, has a pleasing flat plane in profile, with gentle retrousse tilt effect to the nose, good depth chin, bite good but rather inflamed gums with gingivitis.  Ears medium size, well set, rounded tips & slight forward tilt.  Eyes good large size, well open shape, lacking a little in depth & intensity to the blue.  Body just a little on the rangier side & still to develop more fully, good legs & tufted paws, bushy tail could be a little longer.  His coat is a good length but rather flat & requires a little more density, some ruff & knickerbockers, well prepared texture.  Beige toned lightly shaded body, with excellent contrast to the dense seal points.  Condition & temperament both very good.

AC Colourpointed or Mitted Adult , Female;
1st  & CC MARJASON’S  CHICCATS CLOVER WERMARBEAR.  66w. 13-09-08.  Seal Mitted, though still with a degree of maturity & development to achieve she was all very proportionate & right where she should be in relation to her age.  Very balanced head, good breadth across the cheeks, excellent muzzle, pleasing flat plane to her brow, gentle dip & slightly retrousse nose tip, quite good chin, level bite.  The ears medium size, set well apart, good furnishings, tilt forward.  Beautifully expressive eyes, well open & gentle oblique setting, deep intense blue colour, so gentle.  Body as stated still to mature but excellent weight in relation to her size & with proportionate legs & paws, very pleasing bushy slightly tapering tail.  Her coat whilst marginally flat was an excellent density & well prepared silky texture, some ruff developing, good knickerbockers.  Most attractive flick on the brow, white chin, chest, tummy, white mittens on the front paws & white to the hocks on the back, some contrast to the shaded body, the remainder of her points a very good dense seal.  Condition was excellent & her temperament very charming, a sweet natured young lady who at only 10 months should continue to get better as she matures more fully.
2nd  ADAMS & THOMPSON’S  RAGADEE TIA MARIA.  66.  28-04-08. Seal Colourpointed,  I liked this young lady very much & with a little more maturity should do well.  Head has good breadth across her cheeks, just requiring a little more muzzle strength, very good flat plane to the brow, gentle dip to her slightly retrousse nose tip, chin reasonable depth, bite level.  Ears set well, rounded tips, well furnished interiors, slight forward tilt.  Eyes are large & with a gentle expression, well open shape, in a gentle oblique setting, excellent colour.  Body still to fill out a little more, good legs & paws, bushy tail of well balanced length   Lovely coat, good length, well prepared, soft texture wit a pleasing density.  Very good dense seal points wit excellent contrast to the warm very lightly shaded beige body.  Her condition was excellent & she was such a very sweet natured young lady.
3rd  BARROWCLOUGH’S  ROYALRUMBALLS LUCKY LEWIS.  66e.  11-11-07.  Seal Colourpointed mature well balanced type.  Head has good breadth to the well developed cheeks, good muzzle, brow flat, gentle retrousse nose tip, chin good depth, bite good.  Ears very well set, hint of tilt, well furnished, round tips.  Large round well open shaped eyes, in a gentle oblique setting, the colour just lacking a little in depth & intensity for my preference.  Excellent body  showing very good substance, well boned medium length legs, large paws, well balanced bushy tail.  Coat has good length & density, well prepared silky texture, full knickerbockers, good ruff.  Body has a degree of shading but there is still very good contrast to the points, these are well broken & all show a combination of both seal & shades of red (which could be a little brighter). Her condition & temperament both excellent.
4th  PARKES’S  QUARENTO TRULYSCRUMPTIOUS.  66e. 18-08-08.  Seal Tortie Colourpointed, sweet natured girl who still has to mature.  Head promising, good breadth across the cheeks, well developed muzzle, brow could be a little flatter, gentle dip to the nose, slight retrousse tip, chin adequate, bite a fraction over.  Ears placed well apart, good inner furnishings, requires  little more evidence of tilt, round on the tips.  Oblique setting to the well open eyes, he colour a little lacklustre shade of blue.  Body has good length, but yet to fill out fully but still very young, well boned legs, round paws, bushy tail quite good length.  Very good length of coat, soft fine texture, well presented.  Very light mottled beige shading with well contrasted points, with good seal & shades of red, some mottles on the ears.  Gentle nature & excellent condition.

Also Considered  for BOB. PARKES’S  GR CH KYETSI KNICKABOKA GLORI.  66f.  09-05-04.  Cream Colourpointed, in my opinion the best of the females & a whisker away from the BOB & would have made a justifiable winner.  Beautifully developed & excellent substance.  Good width across the cheeks, the muzzle showing good development, flat brow, gentle dip to the nose, with slight retrousse effect to the tip. Excellent ears, set well apart, good inner ear furnishings, touch of forward tilt, round on the tips.  Large well open eyes, with a gentle oblique setting & a good depth of clear blue.  Excellent body, good for both length & depth, good bone to the medium length, round tufted paws, bushy tail of good length.  Coat well prepared, very good length, silky texture & good density, good amount of ruff, fluffy tummy & good knickerbockers.  Warm cream tonal shading to the body, still with contrast to her rather hot cream points with colour also on the stockings, deeper on the tail. Excellent condition, confident self assured girl.

2nd  CHAMBERLAIN’S  FILENSIO DARK VELVET.  66.  27-04-07.  Seal Colourpointed, without wishing to appear dismissive of the winner, this lad would undoubtedly have won the class had he been remotely more amenable, extremely impressive with a major degree of presence & attitude, he was handled but not really enough to assess to justify awarding him the certificate hence his placing.  Excellent type, wide across the cheeks, with well developed muzzle, excellent flat plane to the brow, profile has gentle dip & slight retrousse effect to the nose, good chin, bite unchecked (I’m not stupid enough to put my hand anywhere near his mouth).  Ears medium size, rounded tips, lovely inner ear furnishings, beautifully set.  Eyes are large, well open, gentle oblique setting, intense deep blue colour.  Super body, strong neck, hard muscular well grown body, well boned legs of medium length, large tufted paws, excellent length full bushy tail to balance.  Excellent coat, most beautifully prepared, full ruff, well furnished knickerbockers, excellent silky texture.  Body is warmly shaded in beige with excellent contrast to his dense warm seal brown points.  Hi condition was splendid  but my what a testy temperament, but that said he certainly looks impressive.

Also Considered  for BOB.  LAWRENCE IMP GR PR SONNYWOOD BOSA NOVA.  66a.  13-05-00.  Blue Colourpointed, something of a grumpy g*t, but extremely handsome & very much nip & tuck between him & the girl for BOB.  Beautiful masculine head type, breadth to & across the full cheeks, excellent muzzle, good flat plane to the brow, gentle dip in profile, retrousse nose tip, strong chin, level bite.  Excellent ears well set, broad top, touch of forward tilt, round on the tips, very good inner ear furnishings.  Lovely eye shape, large & well open, gentle oblique setting, the colour by no means pale, could be deeper.  Strong neck, beautiful masculine body of length, excellent muscle, strong medium legs, large tufted paws, very good length bushy tail to balance.  Coat well prepared & good density, very good length with a good degree of ruff, longer on the tummy, with good full knickerbockers.  Body has cool glacial tone with tonal blue shading, his points well matched & even slightly darker tone of blue but well contrasted.  Super condition, such a pity he was in such a mood.

AC/AP Adult, Male;
1st  PERCIVAL’S  GR CH BLUEGEMS TEDDIE  BEAR.  66 31.
2nd  DUNSTALL’S  ELLANESS HIRLUIN THEFAIR.  66 31a.  15-08-08.  Blue Pointed Bi-Colour, very pleasing size & substance this young lad has.  Head has good breadth, well developed muzzle, flat brow, gentle dip in profile, chin requires a little more depth, good bite. Ears medium size, rounded tips, good inner furnishings, rounded on the tips.  Eyes quite large, well open shape, slight oblique setting, the colour requires a greater degree of depth.  Strong neck, body well grown, good muscular tone, well proportioned legs & paws, bushy tail of almost balanced length. Well prepared coat, good semi long length, some ruff starting to develop, quite full knickerbockers, silky texture.  Inverted white ‘V’ on his face, extending through the chin, chest, tummy & front legs, white on the back legs to the line of the body, the remainder of his mask, ears & tail a soft blue tone, body quite glacial just starting to develop a little colour.  Condition & temperament both excellent.
3rd  ADAMS’S  RAGADEE TOTALLY COCOA.  66.

AC/AP Adult, Female;
1st  MARJASON’S  CHICCATS CLOVER WERMARBEAR.  66w.
2nd  ADAMS & THOMPSON’S  RAGADEE TIA MARIA.  66.
3rd  WILSON’S  CH EMERILSE PIXIEDUST. 66a.

AC Tabby Adult;
1st  Not Awarded.  2nd  GREENFIELD’S  DARKCRYSTAL LEVIATKA.  66atw.  20-08-08.  Blue Tabby Mitted, sorry to appear mean at a breed show but his lad had far too many problems on the day to justify a higher placing, despite his wonderful temperament, extremely fussy gentle nature, purred constantly.  Head rather narrow lacking width to the cheeks, his muzzle pinched & a little fine, reasonable flat plane to the brow, rather defined break in profile, chin rounds a little, bite okay.  Ears rather large & set tall, with a more pointed effect, some inner furnishings.  His eyes have lovely deep blue tone, well open though I would prefer them a little larger they do possess a gentle oblique setting, very gentle expression.  Body small & a little slight, particularly for a boy, the legs a little too slender & fine boned, dainty tufted paws, tapering tail requires more bushy appearance.  His coat somewhere betwixt & between, requiring a little more length & density, as a result the texture not as silky as I would wish requiring more show preparation.  Rather miss marked for a Mitted, with more evidence of blaze on the mask than permissible, with white chin, chest & tummy, his front mittens too high passing beyond the line of the paws, uneven back legs, good cheek markings & ‘M’, some leg bracelets, tail rings just evident on the underside,  Some light ghosted tabby shading on the body,  rather taupe tone.

AC/AP Debutante Kitten;
1st  FITZPATRICK’S  EMERISLE SHO-SHONEA.  66e.  02-03-09.  Seal Tortie Colourpointed, drop dead gorgeous little miss, beautifully showy & full of confidence.  Excellent head on, with lovely breadth to her cheeks & well developed rounded muzzle, flat brow, my one point of criticism was her profile required a little evidence of gentle dip to give the retrousse nose tip, good depth chin, level bite despite her swollen gums.  Ears are beautifully set for her young age, medium size, well furnished.  Stunning eyes, quite large, well open, correct gentle oblique setting, stunning deep blue colour & wonderfully gentle quizzical expression.  Body is beautifully firm, well boned legs, good size paws, tail still to lengthen.  Baby soft coat, wispy fringes at the base of her ears & knickerbockers, the length & density still to develop, attractive mottled whiskers.  Virtually clear body, her points a developing seal with red well broken with the exception of the right back leg which I would have preferred to show more red, did find (eventually) a small amount, some mottles on the earss .  Her presentation & condition were quite superb, but temperament quite wonderful a true personality in her own right.  She was later Best Kitten & despite stiff competition form the Adult & Neuter I had little hesitation in making her Best Overall exhibit, which I confess was as much due to her personality as anything else, full of potential.
2nd  FITZPATRICK’S  EMERISLE KARAKAWA.  66.  02-03-09.  Seal Colourpointed,  litter brother to the girl above & another little cracker & will I feel sure ultimately supplant his sister.  Cracking little chap, lovely head, wide cheeks & excellent muzzle, head still a little rounded, very good gentle dip, nose could show a little more retrousse effect, strong chin, prickly chewed whiskers, very swollen gums, bite good.  Ears medium size, well placed for his young age, wispy at their base, rounded tips, good inner ear furnishings.  Body has lovely weight for his young age, with excellent bone to his legs, huge paws, wispy tail still to lengthen.  His coat has the fluffy baby softness of  the very young which he is, with fluffy knickerbockers. Clear coated, his seal points still to complete & densen more fully but all in keeping with his young age.  Beautifully prepared & presented, his temperament was a pure joy another kitten with wonderful confident personality & oomph, extremely promising.
3rd  GODFREY’S  CERINDACAT PALACE ANNE.  66cw. 25-03-09.  Lilac Mitted, very pristine looking kitten, very feminine.  Type is very good, width developing to the cheeks, the muzzle just a little fine, good flat plane to the skull, gentle dip in profile, touch of retrousse effect to the tip, chin requires a little more depth, teething with swollen gums.  Ears medium size, well furnished interiors, pricked just a little.  Eyes pleasing well open shape, gentle obliqueness to the setting, the colour a slightly paler shade of blue.  Body small but perfectly in keeping with her age, proportionate legs & paws, gently tapering tail still to develop a bushy appearance.  Coat typically baby fluffy with wispy edges, very soft texture, the knickerbockers just wispy.  Lovely near white body, with delicate pinky lilac points, white chin, white mittens, difficult to say at this stage where the white on the back legs begins & ends.  Very delicate & subtle.  Condition excellent, lovely little person.

2ND MS M GROUTAGE’S MINSTERMEWS COOKIE (66) F 15/11/08 – Seal Colourpointed Ragdoll who is a little small for her age and needs to mature. She stands on legs that are medium in length on round paws which are tufted. Head is broad and she has a flat plane. Ears are medium in size, slightly tilted forward and set well apart. Eyes are large, set slightly oblique and pale blue in colour, and would have preferred them to be a deeper shade of blue. Nose is medium in length needing just a little more dip. Level bite. Cheeks needing to fill but has a nicely rounded muzzle. Coat well prepared and silky in texture. Coat is showing quite a lot of shading on the body but it is clearing from the roots. Dense matching seal points with full mask. Tail long and bushy reaching the shoulders well, tail is brindled at the moment.

Mrs C Titterington

My thanks to Brian and Anne for their kind invitation to judge at this lovely show, my thanks also to my friend and colleague Trevor who was volunteered to steward for me but who seemed to enjoy the whole thing.

AC Non-ped Grand Master Cat.    1st and Grand Rossi & Edgars MCNaughty. Gorgeous fluffy girl, very pretty coloured tortie / white, very gentle cat in lovely conditions very well presented.

Ginger or AC tortie/white LH. Lst and MC. Rossi & Edgars MC Naughty.

Self and white Cat.   1st. Horvath Cloe.  I did not award the MC for this cat, because she was so frightened and growled at us when we got her out, she just didn’t want to be there at all.  Interesting marking and in nice condition but not enjoying the show.

2nd Buckleys Victor.  My disappointment of the day, he is so handsome, lovely grey and white cat, but with an attitude, my attempts to get him out of his pen met with some very abusive language, spit and growled at us, very sad.

Tabby cat and white. Lst and MC  Stewarts MC Bobbit.  An old friend, he has gained so much in his 11 years, and not just round his waist which is very ample, but he is so handsome and very cuddley, he was really enjoying his self today.  In excellent condition very well presented, he is a gorgeous cat who later went on to best in show.

2nd Rossi & Edgars Ozzy. Lovely friendly cat in excellent condition and beautifully presented with a wonderful temperament, just piped at the post by the other cat.

Any LH or SH non-ped kitten. 1st Rossi & Edgars Lilly, an adorable blue tabby, pretty markings and lovey colour. She loved a cuddle a little purring machine, excellent condition.

2nd Pepperell Harvey, a little brown tabby boy, just fit in my pocket, cuddles and purrs he is gorgeous, excellent condition, with a lovely temperament, took me ages to decide on the winner, would have given two first if I could.
