My thanks to Lillian & Harry or the judging invitation again this year. It is always a nice relaxed show with some very good cats to judge. I am grateful to Linda Dinsdale for stepping in as my steward at the last minute, she did an excellent job and I hope she will steward for me again sometime.
OPEN CLASSES
Siamese or Balinese Champion Male
1st GD CC w/h – Morgan’s CH ASTRALBLAESE PEGASUS (24c) 28/05/08. This chap is very endearing, his type is good but he has one or two problems that for me precluded the higher certificate today. Good head with adequate top line and large ears well set. Good eye shape but held rather full and he had a very definite squint today, colour bright mid blue. Good profile and chin with slightly untidy but level bite. Long very well muscled body, long strong limbs, tail almost balances but showing some stud tail today. Points colour, though quite pale, is on the blue side of lilac with no pinkish tone evident today. Virtually un-shaded magnolia coat with texture a touch too fine to lie really close. The dearest boy to handle and excellently presented.
2nd – Esterford-Howard’s CH MAPU KOFI (32/1) 27/05/08. Good type and style to this lad, but for me he is too effeminate looking at present. Head stylish with very good top line and large wide based ears very well set, but lacking the strength I like to see in a male. Oval shape to eyes and rather straight set, colour bright blue, expression a touch innocent as yet. Good profile and chin, bite sore & very untidy for a youngster with several incisors missing already. Deceptively weighty and really well muscled body of very good length, long limbs and spoon paws, tail just about balances. Very dark seal tabby markings with slightly blurred scarab and single ribbons, paler bracelets and well ringed tail. Good close texture to short coat, lightly shaded overall to tone. Presentation good apart from his chin that needs some attention. Excellent temperament.
Siamese or Balinese Champion Female
GD CC – Pounds’ CH JOMESE JENNY MANYDOTS (32b1) 03/08/07. A very stylish and well balanced lady. Super head with wide top line and very large flared ears set wide. Oriental shape to eyes, a little straight set, colour mid blue with just a hint of a “look” today. Straight profile and deep chin perpendicular to nose tip, level bite. Well defined neck and long elegant but firm and well muscled body, long slender limbs and neat paws, whip tail to balance. Very dark seal tortie points beautifully mingled in various shades of red. Super coat for length and texture, lightly shaded overall to tone. Rather snippy today – coming into call perhaps? Beautifully presented in a snug nest.
R – Morgan’s GD CH ASTRALBLAESE ANDROMEDA (24n) 21/11/04. An attractive lady for both type and colour. Head type good with very good top line and large well flared ears very well set. Good eye shape and set albeit held a touch wide today but colour good with brilliance of tone. Tiny dip to nose, firm chin, bite scissored over. Long elegant body with very good substance and tone, long slender limbs, whip tail needs an inch to balance. Lilac-based caramel points colour very good now, she has taken her time to develop – I seem to remember she was rather indeterminate as a youngster, but now shows very good dingy over tones. Almost un-shaded off white coat, length good, texture perhaps a touch too fine today. A very poised mature lady who handled beautifully. Excellently presented.
Cinnamon Point Male Neuter
PC & BOB – Mackenzie-Sproat’s ADATEAM CINNPHONY CHESTER 21/06/07. A very stylish boy of excellent type. Super head with wide top line and large beautifully set ears. Very good shape and set to eyes of bright mid blue colour. Very good profile and chin with level bite. Long neck and body the latter slender but firm toned and quite weighty, long slender limbs and neat spoon paws, good tail. Super rich warm cinnamon points almost matching in tone density on all points. Creamy ivory coat that was virtually un-shaded, length and texture excellent, short sleek and close lying. A lovely boy to handle and excellently presented.
Apricot Point Male Adult
CC – Mullen’s FOXYPAW ERICSSON 01/06/08. This boy has very good size and substance for youngster, he has come on really well since our last meeting. Stylish head with very good top line, ears large flared and very well set. Eyes shape good albeit a touch deep and straight set, colour good. Good profile, chin slopes back somewhat and the bite is marginally over. Lovely long well muscled body, long elegant limbs, tapered tail almost balances. Apricot points good, tail a touch hotter. Super texture to short close coat, shaded overall to tone. Handled well and was immaculately presented.
Apricot Point Female Adult
CC & BOB – Davies’ BETHANJO WALKINONSUNSHINE 12/05/08. Dainty young miss of very good type. Medium length wedge with very good top of head and large wide based ears set to balance. Oriental eye shape and set with mid blue colour. Good profile and chin, bite marginally over. Long svelte body with weight in keeping with size, dainty limbs and neat paws, whip tail to balance. Excellent points colour, hot and slightly dingy toned, very well developed for a young cat, and I was this that won her the BOB today. Almost clear coat with the slightest of pale apricot shading, length and texture very good. Excellent temperament and beautifully presented.
MISCELLANEOUS CLASSES
Seal Point Siamese Breeders Adult
1st – Simpson’s SHERMESE PRIME SUSPECT (24) M 10/09/08. Only just adult, but a good sized boy for his age, type very good. He tends to hold his eyes a little wide but then he was rather nervous, colour good. What I did like was his points colour, apart from slight brindling to the mask he is a good warm seal – not always seen these days.
2nd – Morgan’s ASTRALBLAESE AKHENATEN (24) M 11/05/08. Older than the winner but considerably smaller, he has a stylish head with very wide top line but it is a feminine head at present. Eyes oval rather then oriental in shape and he has a tendency to squint, colour very good, but expression not helped by his being very nervous. Points colour on the black side of seal.
Maiden Adult Female
1st – Newson’s MAFDET FANCY NANCY (24b) F 08/06/08. A neat and dainty little queen who was quite stylish. Points colour rather dark but there is reasonable degree of warmth evident. Eye colour very good. A sweet lady.
Tabby Point Siamese Breeders Kitten
1st – Hirst’s TOGHAR BYDESIGN (32/3) M 12/10/08. Excellent size and strength to this lad, almost adult and looking it. He has a longer wedge but the top of head is very good and he has the ear size to almost balance. Good tabby markings in warm mid chocolate and matching. He is in excellent condition and has a temperament to die for – he brings whole new meaning to the word - relaxed.
2nd – Simpson’s SHERMESE SHENNANIGANS (32/1) M 10/03/09. A very promising little boy, just beaten today by the more finished article, but if he grows on well he will be hard to beat I think. Super stylish little head with fairly large fly away ears, he has such a super expression for a baby and excellent depth of colour. Pity he is bilaterally cryptorchid. I shall watch his progress with interest.
3rd – Cowling’s ANDALYN CHARISMA (32/1) F 18/10/08. Stylish girl who could now perhaps be a touch bigger for her age. She has a lovely strong head with a wide top line and very large well set ears. Eye shape wide and the colour did not look so good today. Very shy.
Limit Kitten Female
1st – Richards’ DEBIKAT MAYZI-FANTAZEE (24n) F 28/02/09. Typy little babe, promising. She was changed from lilac to caramel in by judges book and I can see why, because although her points are quite pale, they do appear to have a fudgy overtone, the coat colour is also more in keeping with caramel, it will be interesting to see how she develops. Lovely eye colour. A sweet babe.
Junior Neuter
1st – Copeland’s GD PR FLOWERDEW GTX PECTATIONS (24) MN02/02/08. Extremely stylish seal point neuter boy. He is not without his little problems – his eye colour could be deeper for a seal and his points colouring could be a touch warmer, but over all he is a very handsome lad indeed, and he shows himself off with great style.
2nd – Kersey’s PR MALIKASIAM WILBUR-MEWZED (24c) MN 06/09/07. A typical softie neuter boy, he has such a gentle expression. Points colour looked a touch dark today but does have the correct tone. Lovely eye colour, really brilliant sapphire blue. Super to handle as always.
Thanks firstly to Harry and Lilian for inviting me to the
warm and friendly show, I enjoyed my day hugely and was thoroughly pleased
and honoured at the entry. I was ably assisted by my good friend Sarah
and thank her for travelling especially to steward for me.
Seal Point Siamese Kittens
Male Kitten (Under 6 Months)
What a Class, 7 Very Attractive babies and I really had to nit pick between
them, I was glad to be able to speak with most of the owners afterwards
as I was really privileged to handle them all.
1st Simpson's Shermese Fabulous Faberge (24) M 10.02.09
Very Attractive Youngster of extremely well balanced type huge well set
ears with very wide top and excellent flare, I would prefer the ears slightly
wider at base, Medium wedge with broad top and well balanced muzzle showing
a very slight kitten pinch, firm chin and level bite. Nice straight profile.
Showing good depth of skull, eyes of gorgeous oriental shape and set and
of a good blue. Long elegant body - not overlarge for his age but developing
well. He has long very elegant limbs and large paws to grow into. He was
also beautifully composed and overall very stylish; he also has the most
lovely warm seal brown points with very good warm cream coat that was
clearing from the muddy baby coat one expects. Very long whip tail to
balance. A very attractive young man who shows promise.
2nd Matthews/Pugh's Bernbecks Masterpiece (24) M 10.03.09
Just old enough to be shown but a beautiful stylish baby with huge jug
handle ears and very wide at base, dark blue eyes of super expression
and shape (his haws were up slightly in the morning) they had gone down
later on in the day. Well grown and well developed body covered with promising
looking muddy fawn baby coat but showing a good amount of warmth. Dark
seal brown warm points looking dense with good stockings developing also.
Long whip tail to balance. His profile at this stage shows a bump over
the eyes with a dip on the nose with a fairly shallow chin, his bite was
also overshot marginally and in a class of very strong quality it was
this factor that dropped him to 2nd place. In time this will no doubt
change as he develops but on the day I could not overlook this in a class
this closely contested.
3rd Mackenzie-Wood's Merescliff Rosseyn (24) M 08.02.09
A Rather shy boy but oh so stylish with a gorgeous look and lovely head
strength. Strong little head with lovely depth, Romanesque profile with
deep chin and cute little beard, level bite.Huge flared ears with very
good width and lovely depth at base. Lovely eye shape when he relaxed
after a cuddle. Sadly the colour was too pale for the standard and in
a class of this quality it meant him being placed lower because of this.
He also had a cool toned seal brown points and rather a cold coat colour
which made him look rather black and white! He was a lovely size for his
age and lovely strong but elegant boning with long whip tail to balance.
He did settle after a cuddle and really needs more self confidence but
he looks very stylish indeed! Just a pity about the eye colour.
4th Skivington's Meilland Mister Finley (24) M 02/03/09
Another stylish boy who was a little out of kilter today and had niggley
little faults that added up for me. Medium wedge with teething pinch at
present, almost straight profile with slight depression above the eyes.
The eyes were slightly rounded in shape when out of the pen but relaxed
them when in, they for me were slightly dull in colour and could be a
deeper shade of blue for a seal. He did have a slight squint in his right
eye. Long body with good development for his age with long legs and big
paws. His colour was a warm seal brown with a short coat that was clearing
well and promises to be good when he is older! Long whip tail to balance.
He was beautifully presented in lovely condition.
Seal point Male Kitten (6-9 Months)
1st BOB Lodwig's Mafdet Mafioso (24) MN 04/10/08
Handsome Boy looking like the finished article today. Excellent type with
strong medium wedge and a lovely strong leonine look. Large well set and
flared ears with good width at base, strong roman profile with firm chin
and level bite. Inscrutable expression with lovely eye shape and dark
blue eyes that were a smidge paler towards the outer rim. Long muscular
body with rather a large midriff developing. Warm fawn coat of lovely
texture and a light touch of shading over the lower back. Lovely seal
stockings. He posed beautifully and has such a laid back nature. Well
Done
Seal Point Female Kitten (Under 6 months)
1st Simpson's Shermese Truly Devine (24) F 10/03/09
Very pretty young miss and quite stylish with an attractive look. Shorter
medium wedge with large well set and flared ears, eyes of good oriental
shape and nice dark blue colour. Almost straight profile firm chin and
level bite, well developed body for age with a lovely short close coat
on this baby and the coat was a warm cream matching her warm seal brown
points. Dainty limbs and tiny paws. Very pretty lady beautifully presented
Seal Point Female Kitten (6-9 Months)
1st Roberts Strober Minim (24) F 14/10/08
Nervous young lady of good type at rather an awkward stage and needing
to pull together, Medium wedge rather fine in the muzzle with good top
and large ears that she held well when she relaxed. She needed for me
a bit more ear flare for me. Straight profile and firm chin with level
bite. Needing more depth to her skull, her eyes where rather full and
no matter how much I tried to get her to relax they stayed full. They
were of a bright blue colour and required to be a smidge deeper. She had
lovely points and coat colour with excellent warmth to her seal brown
points and lovely warm fawn coat that was slightly long but of an excellent
texture, lovely seal stockings. Long body that was well developed and
long whip tail and long elegant limbs.
Chocolate Point Female Kitten
1st/BOB W/H
2nd Robert's Strober Silkith (24B) F 14/10/08
Sweet lady of average type looking at an in between stage at present,
first impressions was of large round eyes that need to be much deeper
in colour. Shorter broad wedge requiring more width at top. Slightly blunt
muzzle with firm chin and level bite, almost straight profile. Shorter
medium length body with long legs and dainty paws (needs her claws clipping),
slightly short thick tail that needs an inch for balance. Her points were
a good warm chocolate that was fairly well developed and all well matched.
Red Point Kitten Male (6-9 Months)
1st BOB Smith's Toghar Red Adaire (32A) 11.12.08
Huge well grown boy of very good type, Very large flared well set ears
with a longer wedge head almost straight profile level bite and firm chin.
He has slightly deep set eyes although they were of good oriental shape
and good blue colour they just needed to be a smidge larger for facial
balance. Long whip tail to balance. Dainty elegant limbs and large paws
to grow into. Visible M and Tail rings with points in a vibrant rich red
all well matched and developing well. Lovely out going temperament and
beautifully presented.
Red Point Under 6 Months Female Kitten
1st Davies Johpas Ruby Tallulah (32A) 12/02/09
Judged recently and my points remain almost unchanged. Very pretty lady
of very good overall type still very much a baby compared to her competitor.
Excellent expression with oriental eyes of very good shape and colour,
shorter medium wedge set with very large flared ears and wide top. Elegant
body with whip tail to balance, elegant limbs and tiny paws. Slight dip
in profile as yet. Red points developing well and fairly well matched
and set in a paler red (probably seal based). Attractive miss, presented
beautifully.
Breed 24 Non Breeders Adult
1st Newsons Mafdet Fancy Nancy (24B) 08/06/08
Very pretty lady and quite stylish, lovely eye colour of excellent shape,
very large well set ears of good shape and wide top. Medium wedge almost
straight profile with firm chin and level bite. Long firm muscular body
with whip tail and elegant limbs and tiny paws. She has a lovely attitude,
very full of herself. Gorgeous smooth clear coat of excellent texture.
Dark chocolate points showing warmth and fairly well matched. A stylish
lady with a lovely personality.

Visitors Adult
1st Newsons Mafdet Fancy Nancy (24B) 08/06/08
2nd Mullen's Foxypaws Ericsson (32FN) 01/06/08
Stylish Boy of very good type, for me he was a bit too straight in the
eyes and it detracted slightly from his overall expression and looked
slightly untypical, they were of an excellent blue, he was in absolutely
spotless condition for a stud boy. Large muscular elegant body with excellent
tone and a coat that was close and smooth and fitted him like a glove
that was short silky. Longer wedge with large well set ears with good
top, almost straight profile with firm chin and scissor over bite. Apricot
points well matched in a hot dusky tone with visible underlying tabby
markings.
3rd Duncan's UK Gr Ch Brythais Lilyput (24c) 17/06/03
Pretty lady of good type looking very feminine, and in super condition.
Medium wedge with slight dip to profile, firm chin and level bite, large
ears that could ideally have more width at top, eyes of good shape and
set. Elegant limbs and long slightly plump body. Slightly long coat that
was lightly shaded in tone and smooth lying. Presented in lovely condition.
4th Morgan's CH Astralblaese Pegasus (24C) 28/05/08
Huge gentleman of good type somewhat dominated by large round eyes that
could be darker in colour . He does have the most wonderful temperament
and was presented in lovely condition. Medium wedge head with large ears
fairly well set, straight profile with firm chin and level bite. Lightly
shaded coat that was a smidge dry to the touch. His points were of a dark
lilac and were lacking in any desired pinkish tones, however they were
very well matched.
Many thanks for the invitation to judge at this impeccably managed show, one expects nothing less with Lilian and Harry at the controls. My steward was Joan Pounds who was her usual calm, competent self which was much appreciated; the excellent company was a bonus. Many thanks to Mavis and her team for the excellent lunch.
BLUE POINT MALE KITTEN 6-9 months:
W/C FAIRCLOUGH’S BRYTHAIS HARITH (MN) 13.10.08 A well grown kitten of very good type. Sadly, to my eye his colour is definitely blue based caramel which denied him the first prize he deserved. Head of very good balance with excellent top of head and large ears. Almost straight profile, level bite and firm chin. Oriental eye shape and set with deep blue colour. Long, well muscled body with slim legs and long whip tail. Slight shading on a short, close lying coat.
2.MASON’S GENETTA BILLYBOY 23.10.08 A kitten of correct blue colour who, unfortunately, had a protruding sternum evident on the day. Hopefully this may improve as his body grows more muscle. Balanced wedge with small pinch to muzzle. Almost straight profile, level bite and good chin. Good top of head and large, well placed ears. Slightly full eyes of good basic shape and set with clear mid blue colour. Body of good weight and type with slender legs and whip tail. Very good blue points and a white coat of excellent length and texture.
BLUE POINT FEMALE KITTEN under 6 months:
W/C SIMPSON’S SHERMESE CHERRY BLOSSOM 10.12.09 I debated long and hard whether to wrong colour this kitten or not. On the one hand it was very young but on the other the colour was not good. The points were a gun metal blue and there was extensive fawn shading on the coat. Very good type overall with excellent top of head and large widespread ears. Straight nose, slightly raised between the eyes. Level bite and good chin. Oriental eye shape and set with clear blue colour which could be a tad deeper for perfection. Fragile neckline and long svelte body with dainty legs and long whip tail. Slightly long kitten coat of excellent texture. Promising kitten whatever the colour.
LILAC POINT MALE ADULT:
1.CC.W/H.MORGAN’S ASTRALBLAESE PEGASUS 28.5.08 Young male of excellent growth. Good length wedge with balancing width between ears which need to be larger and which he held a fraction high. Straight profile, level bite and good chin. Eyes of good basic shape and set which he opened wide on occasion. Strong neckline and long, muscular body of good type with strong legs and good length tail. Excellent lilac points colour and a coat of excellent length and texture and clear magnolia colour. Shown in excellent condition with an excellent temperament.
LILAC POINT FEMALE ADULT:
BOB.DUNCAN’S UK.GR.CH.BRYTHAIS LILYPUT 17.6.03 A mature queen shown in sparkling condition. Very feminine with an excellent top of head and large well placed ears. Straight profile, some teeth missing but bite appears to be level and good chin. Oriental eye shape and set with clear, bright blue colour. Elegant neckline and body type with slender legs and long whip tail. Good lilac points colour and a virtually clear magnolia coat which was short, smooth and close lying. A credit to the owner.
RED POINT MALE NEUTER:
1.PC.BOB. EMMENS’ PR.CHIARIKKI TRIBAL WARRIOR 10.5.05 Good to see this stylish boy back on the show bench. Excellent type and growth with a good length head and balancing width between large ears. Straight profile, level bite and good chin. Oriental eye shape and set with deep blue colour and glowering expression. Well defined neckline and long muscular body of stylish type with slim legs and long whip tail. Bright red points and a clear coat of excellent length and texture. Not exactly full of the joys of spring!
APRICOT POINT MALE NEUTER:
1.PC.BOB. AGGETT’S AMYDAY SOLAR LIGHT 21.8.06 The epitome of style and type. Beautifully poised demeanour with a good length head and excellent width between large ears. Excellent profile, some teeth missing but bite appears to be level and firm chin. Oriental eye shape and set with deep blue colour and superior expression. Regal head carriage and long, muscular body of stylish type with slim legs and very long whip tail. Good apricot points colour and slight shading on a coat of excellent length and texture.
JUNIOR ADULT FEMALE:
1.POUNDS’ CH.JOHMESE JENNY MANYDOTS(32b1) 3.8.07 Very stylish female of elegant type. Good top of head and large well placed ears. Straight profile, level bite and good chin. Oriental eye shape, marginally straight set with brilliant blue colour. Regal head carriage and elegant body type with slim legs and long whip tail. All points well mingled with red and a short, close lying coat of excellent texture.
2.WOODHOUSE’S DORAL INYOURDREAMS(61e) Fine boned queen of good type. Straight wedge with good top of head and large ears. Straight profile, level bite and good chin. Oriental eye shape and set with deep blue colour. Long body of stylish type with dainty legs and well plumed tail. Points well mingled with shades of red and a coat of good length lying smoothly along the spine.
BREED 24 SIAMESE/BALINESE KITTEN:
A class of quality kittens which was a pleasure to judge, the second and third having just a whisker between them.
1.LODWIG’S MAFDET MAFIOSO(24) MN 4.10.08 A beautiful exhibit of excellent type. Well balanced head with straight lines to muzzle and excellent width between large ears. Excellent profile, level bite and good chin. Oriental eye shape and set with bright blue colour which could be a shade deeper for a seal. Proud head carriage and well defined neckline, muscular body of good type with slim legs and a very long whip tail. Warm seal points and some toning shading on a coat of exquisite length and texture showing good contrast.
2.SKIVINGTON’S MEILLAND MISTER FINLEY(24) M 2.3.09 A much younger kitten of perfect balance. A beautiful head with straight lines from every angle. Excellent width between large well placed ears. Straight profile, level bite and good chin. Oriental eye shape, a fraction straight set with bright blue colour which could be a shade deeper for utter perfection. At the moment there is a transient turning in of the left eye – now you see it now you don’t which, hopefully, is due to teething. Delicate neckline and firm body of good type with dainty legs and long whip tail. Warm seal points which augurs well for the future and a warm cream coat of excellent length and texture.
3.SIMPSON’S SHERMESE FABULOUS FABERGE(24) M 10.2.09 A stylish kitten of flashy type. Excellent top of head and large butterfly ears. Straight profile, pronounced pinch to muzzle, teething perhaps? Level bite and chin could be stronger. Slightly straight set eyes of oriental shape and clear blue colour which could be deeper for perfection. Well defined neckline and firm body of stylish type with slim legs and long, string like whip tail. Dark seal points and a cream coat which was short and close lying.
CHOCOLATE POINT BREEDER’S KITTEN:
1.ROBERT’S STROBER SILKITH F 14.10.08 Beautifully grown kitten shown in perfect condition. Good top of head with large ears held marginally high. Almost straight profile, level bite and good chin. Slightly full eyes of good basic shape and set with clear mid blue colour. Body of good type and muscle tone with slim legs and whip tail. Dark chocolate points and an ivory coat of excellent quality.
NOVICE KITTEN FEMALE:
1.SIMPSON’S SHERMESE TRULY DEVINE(24) 10..3.09 Tiny kitten of excellent type. Beautifully grown with excellent top of head and large, well placed ears. Straight profile, level bite and firm chin. Oriental eye shape and set with excellent deep blue colour. Fragile neckline and beautifully grown body with dainty legs and long, fine whip tail. Warm seal points and clear cream coat.
MAIDEN KITTEN MALE:
1.SIMPSON’S SHERMESE SHENNANIGANS(32/1) 10.3.09 Exquisite kitten of excellent type. Beautiful top of head and large well placed ears. Straight profile, level bite and good chin. Oriental eye shape and set with deep violet colour. Delicate neckline and stylish body of good weight and growth with slender legs and a well ringed whip tail. All tabby markings well defined and minimal shading on the spine of a coat which was short and close lying.
2.FAIRCLOUGH’S BRYTHAIS HARITH(24a) 13.10.08
BREED 24 BREEDER’S NEUTER:
1.MACKENZIE-SPROUT’S ADATEAM CINNPHONY CHESTER(24k) MN 21.6.07 A beautiful neuter of outstanding type and colour. Head of perfect balance with excellent top of head and large ears. Straight profile, level bite and firm chin. Oriental eye shape and set with deep blue colour. Excellent head carriage and a long firm body of stylish type with slender legs and long whip tail. Beautiful cinnamon points colour and a clear coat of excellent quality.
This is a combined show which has now been running together extremely well for quite a few years, long may it continue to do so as I think it is advantageous for both exhibitors & visitors to see beautiful examples of related breeds. To the team representing the Oriental Cat Association of Jane, Irene & Caroleen my appreciation for the invitation yet again.
Foreign White Kitten;
BOB Not Awarded. ABBOTT'S 1st TILDEN WHISPERINGCHENAZZ.
21-09-08. Generally pleasing but somewhat small for a day off being adult,
her size more appropriate to 6-7 months. Good length if slightly narrow
wedge, very good profile, chin quite good, bite okay. Ears are large but
she tends to prick these a little high & they would benefit with a
little more flare to their base. Eyes have a good albeit marginally fuller
shape, clear bright blue, the colour just requiring a little more intensity
ideally. Body as stated very small but her weight in relation to her size
is good, bust is going to require a growth spurt to compete as an adult,
slender limbs, small neat paws, tail requires a little more length to
balance. Coat reasonably short & close lying, very good texture. Clean
white coat, inner ears, eye rims & nose leather could be a little
pinker. Her temperament was excellent, condition sound.
Oriental Tortie Neuter;
1st & PC BAXTER'S SOLARUS AL THAT JAZZ. 37y. 21-03-08. Fawn, well
grown but still looking a little juvenile in head type. Broad wedge tending
to puff her whisker pads, making her appear a little pinched, very good
profile with the exception of a minimal nose bump, strong chin & good
bite. Ears large, slightly pricked forward, but set well apart, good width
to their base. The eyes are a little wide yet still retaining a good oriental
setting, good green colour. Very firm well proportioned body, with good
legs & paws, the tail moderately fine but requires a touch more length.
Excellent quality coat, it was tight fitting & close, excellent sleek
well prepared texture, glossy sheen. Well mingled & patched in a warm
fawn base colour with shades of mainly warmer cream. Her condition excellent,
very gentle nature.
Considered for & Awarded BOB. LEE'S CH & IMP GR PR WILLHAVETODO
OUIJA BOARD. 37p. 27-05-06. Caramel, quality exhibit who exudes a bit
of class & style when she is relaxed in her pen. Lovely even lines
to her wedge, very good profile, lost a tooth but the bite otherwise good.
Excellent ears, being large & beautifully set, wide flared base complementing
her head, set wide & low in a fixed position. Eyes of excellent oriental
shape & slant, slightly paler shade, but green nevertheless. Elegant
neck, body lithe & taut, well toned, very good length, slim legs,
neat dainty paws, fine whip like tail. Close lying length of good shorter
length, well prepared, very good texture. Sludgy taupe base colour with
shades of varying apricot present, some paler areas on her throat. Her
condition & presentation were both excellent, in one her 'I'm not
too keen on being taken out of my pen' moods today, despite which she
is a very easy lady to assess. Later Best In Show Female Neuter.
Oriental Bi-Colour Neuter, Male;
1st IC & BOB. SOUTHALL'S SENSAY SQUADRON LEADER. 48 40. 26-06-07.
Seal Pointed, beautifully grown youngster who is let down a little by
his ear set. Longer length wedge which appears quite pinched but this
due to his facial markings where the white runs through his mask, ideally
his head requires a little more depth to give a more masculine look, very
good profile, chin could be a little deeper, marginal over bite. Ears
large but requiring a little more width at the base, which he pricks a
little high & the effect of tilting them forward detracts. Eye colour
though a bright clear blue could be a little more intense, I suspect these
are influenced by the white, a pleasing oriental shape if a tad straight
in set. Good length of both neck & body, showing well muscled development,
slender limbs, oval paws, tail of good length with very slight suspect
tip (nothing definite). His coat I would prefer shorter but it was well
prepared despite a slightly harsher area along the back towards the base
of his tail. Good amount of white & well over the minimum third required
with irregular shaped white blaze, white running up to both ear tips,
white through throat, chest, tummy & legs, with seal patches on all
points & fully seal coloured tail, body has some tonal beige shading
with white flash on his back, a bit of scattering of white here &
there. Condition & temperament both excellent.

1st & IC DINSDALE'S APPLEJACK VANILLA-SKY. 48b. 26-05-07. Chocolate,
very reserved firm well developed girl (just a little on the over indulgent
side). Medium length wedge puffing her pads due to nerves & exacerbating
the muzzle pinch a little, the profile undulating a little, good chin,
bite a little over. Ears well placed & set wide apart, nerves making
her twist a little down, detracting form the width at their base, larger
medium size. Good green to the eye colour, shape & set both good.
Body very firm & weighty being a little more rounded in the tummy,
well proportioned legs & paws, fine tail could a be a little longer.
Her coat was close but a little on the longer side & a mite harsh
as opposed to sleek. High white with quite a large chocolate patch on
her bottom & tail, couple of splodged head markings, in dark chocolate,
all her paw pads showing some chocolate. Her condition was excellent but
a little shy & preferred the security of her pen, which I took into
account when assessing her.
AV Non-Breeders Self Adult;
SHADOWSQUAD LUCIFERSLEGACY. 37. 17-03-08. Black, worried & rather
startled looking chap which puts him at a disadvantage as he does not
sell himself. Head has a longer length wedge with some muzzle pinch, good
profile, quite a good chin. Ears are large & set well, wide base.
Eyes slightly fuller shape, the colour rather pale tone of green, with
a startled expression as opposed to wicked. Good length of neck, body
long & with good muscle tone, good length of leg, oval paws, tail
rather short & his nerves make the tip tense. Coat well prepared but
rather long, though generally close lying. Sound glossy jet black. His
condition & presentation both very good, but lacks a little in style
& finish both factors which are attributable to his nervousness.
AV Junior Adult;
1st HIRST'S CH TOGHAR PASTICHE. 37h. 16-07-07. Chocolate Tortie, this
girl has wonderful coat. Medium length wedge which could have a little
more triangular appearance ideally, very good profile, good chin, bite
marginal, just touches. Ears larger medium size, the width at their base
good but she pricks a little high. Eyes have pleasing slant, slightly
fuller shape, green in colour. Lithe well toned girl, with slim legs,
oval paws, fine tail could be a little longer. Super coat, being short
& very close lying, wonderfully sleek finish, excellent texture. Very
attractive colour combination of warm chocolate with abundant red, including
a lot of brighter shades, giving a good degree of brightness overall,
there are some markings on the legs mainly but only in the red areas,
it is otherwise sound & beautifully glossy. Her condition was super,
excellent temperament, handles well.
AV Non-Self Kitten;
1st WILDON'S SUNJADE SILKMOTH. 45k. 15-10-08. Cinnamon Ticked Tabby, whilst
not in my opinion quite on a par with her mother for type (even if she
has picked up some her mothers mannerisms in other areas), she is an extremely
attractive girl with super pattern elements (another attribute she has
picked up from her mother), which just tipped her into pole position in
this class. Medium length even wedge, profile good, quite a good chin,
level bite. Ears are a larger medium size, wide base & set well apart.
Eyes have lovely oriental shape & slant, lovely green tone, slightly
wicked expression, Body firm & well proportioned, typically adolescent,
slim legs, neat paws, excellent balanced tail. Coat close lying &
quite a good shorter length, combined with being well prepared & a
lovely sleek finish. Excellent typically Ticked facial markings with flashes
onto the brow & more solid skull cap, beautifully defined banded ticking
on the body with not a vestige of pattern otherwise, slight deepening
on the spine line & tail, solid cinnamon tip, well defined heel markings.
The colour has a pleasing degree of warmth & shows excellent contrast
creating an attractive coppery effect, with subtle sheen. Condition was
super, handles well despite her grumbles & chunters (also inherited
from mother). Best In Show Female Kitten.
2nd FREMONT'S LUNATORA TAKEACHANCEONME. 45s. 27-01-09. Black Silver Ticked
Tabby, very stylish lad with I feel sure a promising career ahead of him.
Longer length even lines to the wedge which could be a little broader
but still very young, excellent profile, good chin, bite okay. Ears large
& with well flared wide base, excellent set. Eyes fractionally full,
but nonetheless the shape & slant both typically oriental, wonderful
intense green colour. Long neck, long firm body with slim legs, neat paws,
excellent long fine whippy tail. Short close well prepared coat, which
was an excellent texture, beautifully sleek. Well marked facial tracings,
with solid skull cap, body showing well defined ticking with some small
trout spots along his lower sides (which determined the placings), these
will hopefully clear as he matures, black heels & tail tip. The contrast
between the black & the silver is beautifully defined, the silver
being clear, plus as an added bonus there is virtually no evidence of
tarnish. Condition & temperament both excellent, he later became Best
Oriental Kitten.
Marked as Wrong Pattern. CHERRY'S CIATRA CLARATASIA. 44k.
25-02-09. Cinnamon Mackerel Tabby, should in my opinion be 38k. Cinnamon
Spotted Tabby, lovely firm kitten in superb condition. Well balanced medium
length wedge, the profile developing well, good depth chin, bite good,
despite swollen gums. Ears are a good larger size, very good flare to
the base, just tending to carry a little high. Her eyes tend to open a
little too fully which detracts a little from the oriental shape, but
on the other hand highlights the very good green tone. Body is well grown
& excellent weight for her young age, well proportioned legs, neat
paws, excellent fine whip tail. Lovely coat, short & close lying,
excellent preparation, lovely sleek finish. Well defined facial markings,
with spotted whisker pads, lovely cheek tracings, clearly defined 'M'
on the brow, thumbprints on the ears, excellent leg bracelets & also
the tail rings for a good proportion of its length, colour on the heels,
solid coloured tail tip, broken necklets, on the down side, the body pattern
is not Mackerel, it does have some linkage to the spotting which in places
gives it the appearance of elongated lines where the spots run into each
other, but in other places the spots are well broken & beautifully
contrasted if a little long in shape, there is also a well broken spine
indicating further that it can not be Mackerel. Her colour is very warm
& sharply defined against the warm creamy ground colour, spotted tummy.
Condition & temperament both really excellent.

1st HOLDER'S MYLYNN MANIFIQUE. 62 18. 05-09-08. Black Silver Tabby Oriental
Longhair, what a name to live up to, but I've yet to meet one who could
do it better, he really did look quite superb, gives the hairs on the
back of your neck a prickle, then your mouth starts salivating, quite
gorgeous. He has a wonderfully masculine head showing strength & evenness
of line you don't often see, his wedge is triangular & beautifully
balanced, with excellent profile, deep chin & level bite. Super ear
set, wide flare to the base complementing his wedge most beautifully,
with some longer inner ear furnishing & lovely fringes at the base,
excellent larger size. Eyes lovely oriental shape & setting, excellent
green colour, with a truly wonderful trusting yet regal expression, so
knows he is quality. Good neckline, despite being just 9 & a half
months he is beautifully firm & well developed with good length muscular
body, long legs, marginally heavier paws, well furnished plume to his
tail which is of reasonably well balanced length (even if I would ideally
prefer it just a tad longer). His coat was beautifully prepared soft silken
like texture which has quite a good degree of length & certainly enough
to give it a degree of flow over the body lines, good britches, longer
on the tummy, long whiskers & eyebrows. His pattern loses out a little
due to the semi-long coat length on the body, spine line not completely
broken but showing enough evidence of break to comply (not being solid),
spotting on the body generally good, excellent facial tracings with spotted
whisker pads & clearly defined cheek stripes, complicated 'M' on the
brow, excellent leg bracelets & good rings on the underside of the
tail. His markings are a good black on slightly darker but obvious silver
ground colour, clearer on his underparts, with spotted tummy also. He
really is a wonderful specimen of his breed & true delight to handle
& admire with excellent showmanship qualities, a pure joy & pleasure
to drool over. Both his breeder & his owner are well entitled to feel
justifiably proud. Later Overall Best in Show, which appeared almost inevitable,
very many congratulations.
2nd ELLIS'S GR PR MYLYNN MOONSHADOW. 62 20. 09-12-06. Brown Tabby Oriental
Longhair, this lad has really come on & matured, like his half brother
above a wonderful example of what can be achieved in an Oriental whether
long hair or shorthair. Beautifully strong even wedge, not long but with
balance & strength, excellent profile, good chin. Ears are large &
well flared at their base providing an harmonious appearance to his wedge,
excellent fixed position. His eyes are a lovely oriental shape & slant,
with a very definite green colour, beautifully expressive. Body large
& well proportioned possessing very good length, very good legs &
paws, tail would benefit with another inch or so, well furnished plume.
Coat well prepared, texture & flow both excellent, showing good length
overall, longer on the chest & tummy, full breeches, wispy fringes
at the base of his ears, well furnished interiors. Beautifully defined
facial markings, clear cheek ribbons, well spotted whisker pads, lovely
'M' on the brow, body pattern shows some linkage & his spine line
whilst not completely solid is more so than I would prefer & a little
wide extending down his tail, more evidence of rings on the underside,
lovely bracelets, high well defined heels. Whilst I would prefer his colour
a little warmer I accept you can't have everything & this lad has
a great deal to compensate in other areas. Another super from the same
stable as the winner & a quality exhibit unlucky to meet up with another
family member, his condition & temperament both superb, plenty of
'oomph' (just not quite as much as the winner).

04-08-07. Black Tortie Shaded, for type this girl looks super, even is
she can wriggle more than any Abyssinian you are likely to come across,
pity she is so 'scatty', though this is pure panic despite her caterwauling.
Very, very elegant & stylish, even lines to her beautifully feminine
head, the wedge of good length, very good profile, chin slightly narrow
but has reasonable depth. Large, wide well flared ears so complementing
her wedge, most beautifully set. Tends to widen her otherwise oriental
shaped slanted eyes, possessing a good green to the colour, touch of panic
stricken expression. Beautiful neckline, long lithe, taut yet firm body,
long slender limbs, petite oval paws, long fine whiptail slight tension
at its tip (not to imply kink). She has a beautifully short close lying
coat, excellent texture, sleek glossy sheen. Facial markings are generally
good, slightly more solid skullcap, broken cheek ribbons, her body pattern
is somewhat muted, the red due to her Tortie elements adding to the problem
of whether she is actually Shaded or not, plus the very short coat not
assisting, leg bracelets broken with pale red, slight indication of tail
rings towards its tip. Her condition was excellent, oh! that she would
not get herself so panic stricken at being handled & hiding away beneath
her blankets.

25-02-09. Fawn Classic Tabby, should in my opinion be breed No. 41n. Caramel
Classic Tabby, beautifully grown youngster. Head has a balanced even wedge
of medium length, profile good, firm chin, swollen gums. Slight tendency
to prick the ears of good larger size just a little high, very good width
to their base. Eyes marginally fuller oriental shape, gentle slant to
the nose, he colour rather muddy olive green tone, as yet. Body is beautifully
firm & weighty, well balanced legs & paws, good length tail. Coat
close lying & quite a good shorter length, well prepared sleek finish.
Body pattern whilst following 'Classic' lines was also lacking some of
the more usual elements, i.e. there was no butterfly over the shoulders,
broad area of solid colour along the back, missing the usual triple lines,
oysters present but not complete, well traced facial markings, very good
leg bracelets, linked broad tail bands, solid colour up the heels. The
pattern colour was a sludgy taupe effect as opposed to the warm rosy mushroom
of Fawn, which was particularly evident over the head & back, requiring
more contrast between the pattern & the ground colour. Super condition
& very composed.
Thank you very much to Lillian Hughes, Harry Meekings and
all their cheerful helpers for a most enjoyable Show and all the generous
hospitality, as always an excellent lunch. Also very many thanks to my

Oriental Tortie Female
1st CC BOB HIRST’S CH TOGHAR PASTICHE (37h) F 16.07.07
A most attractive and feminine Oriental tortie queen with a medium almost straight wedge and balanced topline. Profile nearly straight, level bite and firm chin. Expressive oriental eyes of vivid green. Large wide at base very well set ears. Elegant neckline, lengthy svelte body, long slender limbs. Tapering tail of length to balance. Excellent coat qualities, very short and sleek with warm chestnut brown beautifully mingled with shades of light and darker red thoughout coat. Delightful temperament, very well shown and presented.
Havana Kitten Female
2nd (1st withheld) MARSTON’S DENSON SUZETTE (29) F 24.02.09
Havana kitten rather small for her age of fair type with a medium wedge, kitten pinch and needing a little more width across the topline for balance. Small dip in profile, neat level bite and firm chin. Eyes oriental in shape, straight set, still rather muddy green in colour. Good sized fairly well set ears. Long fine boned body, long legs, spoon paws, whippy tail of good length. Fine textured short coat of mid brown Havana showing lots of ghost markings. Unfortunately she had lots of scattered white hairs throughout her coat and a fairly large cluster of white hairs on her shoulder, I therefore had no choice but to withhold 1st prize. A confident friendly kitten, comfortably presented and shown in good condition.

Oriental set and shape to rather yellowy green eyes. Large ears, flared and very well set. Long slightly plump body, long strong limbs, long tapering tail. Super coat, very short and close lying with a clear silver undercoat pushing well up, tipped with dark chocolate and pleasingly clear of pattern. Showing tarnishing on mask, chest and front legs which I felt looked worse than it was as it merged somewhat with the chocolate shading. Excellent condition and beautifully presented.

I did have a real headache over this black tortie shaded queen, her type is super with a strong head and broad topline. Small rise between eyes on profile, bite just marginally under, firm chin. Expressive clear green oriental eyes she tends to hold a little full, probably due to worry. Large wide at base beautifully set ears. Lengthy firm body, long legs with neat paws and balanced whip tail. Extremely short sleek coat mingled and patched with shades of red. My problem was that I could see no clear and paler undercoat on her ticked tabby coat apart from a slightly paler colour on the red patching. Fairly clear facial markings and leg bars. Excellent condition and presentation but it makes it more difficult to assess this cat as she is so very nervous and difficult to handle.

Short close lying coat still rather muddy with warm seal brown points colour. A friendly confident baby very well shown and presented.
Breed 24 Siamese Non-Breeders Neuter
Another difficult class with the 1st and 2nd placed cats so close, the winner having the best eye and points colour.
1st MUSSON’S GR PR MEILLAND MY KINDA GUY (24) MN 29.06.06
I awarded this cat an Imperial last time we met, he is of superb type, a big lengthy cat with a strong wedge head and broad topline. Deep bright blue oriental eyes and large wide based ears set following the wedge. Lengthy svelte body, long slender limbs, long fine tail. Sleek short coat still only lightly shaded with good dense seal brown points colour. Shy but handled well, beautifully shown and presented.
2ND COPELAND’S GR PR FLOWERDEW GTX PECTATIONS (24) MN 02.02.08
So unlucky to meet the winner another extremely handsome seal neuter of wonderful type. Longer wedge head with pinch and wide topline. Straight ‘roman’ profile, good bite and chin. Bright clear blue oriental eyes. Large very wide based beautifully set ears. Lengthy firm body, long slender limbs, long tapering tail. Coat short, fine textured shaded but with contrast and dark seal points colour. Very confident and imposing young man, shown in excellent condition and comfortably presented.
Many thanks to Jane, Irene and the committee for their kind invitation and to Mavis and her team for the delicious lunch. I am extremely grateful to Sharon Lee for stewarding for me so competently and for her good company, it was a most enjoyable day.
Imperial Male: Imp & Res n/a 1st. TARBOX’S GR CH TIJANMEEK MCLAREN - 37fn - M. 23.08.07. Large well grown boy with a long even wedge head. Large well set wide at base ears. Well set oriental eyes of olive green. Profile shows a bump on his nose and shallow chin. Level bite. Long muscular body, long slender legs and neat oval paws. His tapering tail is a little thick and needs more length. Close lying coat which needs to be a little finer. Good apricot colour with permissible tabby markings in evidence. Shown in lovely condition. I would quite happily give him a grand but I didn’t feel he was quite up to the Imperial.
No Award to HAGGAR’S GR CH SUSPIRIA SIMPLY SOLARUS - 37r - M. 21.04.07. Sweet natured boy who is very moderate in type having quite a broad medium wedge head with well set wide based ears needing to be larger for balance. Straight profile line. Well set oriental eyes of a light bright green. Level bite with nice healthy teeth and gums. Strong chin. Quite a lot smaller than winner and needing far more weight and muscle tone. His tail is tapered but short. He really is not in good physical condition and his coat is very badly out of condition as well. I am sorry but I did not consider him to either be in condition or have sufficiently good enough type to be given an award in this prestigious class.
Oriental Bicolour Male Kitten: 1st & BOB LYNCH’S FIROUSI FANCY-THAT - 48 40b - M. 10.02.09. Chocolate Point & White.Super stylish little fellow with an excellent head which is a long even wedge with large very well set wide at base flared ears. Strong straight profile line with very slight depression at present. Well set oriental eyes of an excellent depth of brilliant blue. Level bite and firm chin. Elegant toned body, long slender legs and small oval paws. Long whip tail to balance. He has a high degree of white with inverted white V on his mask, predominantly white body with cute coloured lozenges over his head, ears and a few over his back. White tip to his tail. His points colour is of quite a dark shade of chocolate. Short close lying coat. Shown in excellent condition. I will follow his progress with interest.
2nd. SMITH’S LORICHA SCARAMOUCHE - 48 40t - M. 25.10.08. Tabby Point & White. Another lovely kitten with an even wedge head of good length. Large wide at base well set ears lacking flare. Slightly open oriental eyes of good depth of brilliant blue. Profile almost straight. Level bite and firm chin. Firm well fed rather heavy body, long slim legs and neat oval paws. Long tapering rather thick tail to balance. I would like to see a little more white on his face as he has just little patches below his eyes and one on his forehead. He has quite a lot of colour on his legs where ideally I would like to see a little more white. He has a cold tone to his tabby points colour but good clear tabby markings and warm body shading. A gentle boy shown in excellent condition.Lovely coat texture.
Oriental Bicolour Female Kitten: 1st. SOUTHALL’S PATCHESTY MYSTIQUE - 48 40 - F. 24.01.09. Seal Point & White. A very well grown young lady with medium length to her wedge head with wide at base ears needing to be a more generous in size and have more width between. Her eyes a rather round in shape and need much more depth to their blue. Good strong profile but she has a slight bump on her nose. Bite is overscissor and her chin falls away. Long muscular body, long slim legs and neat oval paws. Long tapering tail to balance. She has well over the minimum requirement for white with white on her mask and her right ear is also almost completely white. Short close lying coat. Shown in excellent condition.

Long muscular body, long slender legs and neat oval paws. His tapering tail is a little thick and needs a little more length. Close lying coat which is a little dark in colour but it does have warmth.
Havana Neuter Female: PC n/a 1st. MATTHEWS’ SOLARUS BRONZE STARDUST - 29 - FN. 8.06.08. Medium length wedge head with large wide at base well set ears. Straight profile. Medium size body which is firm and well muscled, long slender legs and neat oval paws. Her tapered tail is rather thick and needs more length. Short close lying coat which is rather dark in colour but there is some warmth to it. Not a very happy girl today. In lovely condition.
2nd. MARSTON’S PR STYPERSON EMMALENA - 29 - FN. 28.02.02.A mature girl with a medium length wedge head with ears that balance in size but need much more width between them. Rather straight set eyes which have lost their colour now. Bite shows just one incisor present and gums which appear undershot. Well fed body, slender legs and neat oval paws. Her colour is very dark ,somewhat unsound and lacks warmth. In good physical condition.

Oriental Longhair Neuter Male: 1st PC & BOB HOLDER’S MYLYNN MAGNIFIQUE - 62 20 - MN. 5.09.08. Certainly very aptly named as he is indeed quite magnificent. Perfectly proportioned long strong wedge head with beautifully set large wide at base flared ears. Excellent profile line. Well set oriental eyes of very good depth of clear green - oh that more Orientals had his eye colour. Level bite and firm strong chin. Long muscular body, long strong legs and long well furnished tail. Hard to believe he is only 9 months of age, so well grown and mature. His coat length is still developing, it is fine and silky with fringes apparent and just flows on his body. An absolute joy to see an Oriental of such quality and congratulations on becoming Best Overall - well deserved.
Oriental Longhair Neuter Female: 1st & PC GODDARD’S MYLYNN SWEET-PEA - 62 43s - FN. 5.09.08. Litter sister to above and although very pretty and feminine lacks his outstanding type. Level bite and firm chin. Long well fed body, long legs and neat oval paws. Her tail needs a little more length for balance but it is well plumed. Her coat which is of good length is very thick with a lot of old coat present, rather greasy and scurfy and in need of a lot more show preparation. Shy gentle girl.

Level bite with teeth missing, chin shallow and receding. Elegant neck. Long body needing much more weight and tone, long slender legs and neat oval paws. Tapering tail to balance. AC SIAMESE/BALINESE IMPERIAL GRAND PREMIER MALE
Two fabulous neuters. IGP, MUSSON’S GR PR MEILLAND MY KINDA GUY. (24) 29.6.06. Seal Point Siamese. Extremely handsome boy excelling in true seal point body and points colour - so rarely seen these days and ultimately this was the deciding factor for me between the two of them. Long strong wedge head, beautifully balanced by large wide based ears, set well apart to follow the lines of his wedge. Good profile, very nearly straight, his chin has good depth, the bite level. Gorgeous expressive oriental eyes, excellent for shape and set, the colour not quite sapphire but bright and vivid in tone. Very long, hard and muscular body with elegant neckline. Stands proudly on long slender legs. Lovely long fine whip tail in perfect balance. Superb warm seal brown points all dense and well matched. Warm creamy beige body with minimal shading – contrast excellent. Coat short and close fitting, beautifully prepared and presented for his day out. I was informed later by his delighted owner that this was his qualifying Certificate – well deserved – congratulations.
RIGP, COPELAND’S GR PR FLOWERDEW GTX PECTATIONS. (24) 2.2.08. Seal Point Siamese. Superbly stylish lad – extremely flashy, what a pity that I could not award 2 Imperials!! Long strong wedge head, just slightly fine on the muzzle, his ears very large, wide at the base, beautifully set and flared. Strong profile, deep firm chin, level bite. Lovely expression to oriental eyes, the colour has good depth, but for perfection could be a touch more intense. Very long, hard and muscular body with long elegant neckline. Long tall legs, stands beautifully, long whip tail in balance. Dense seal brown points all well matched, his body shaded and overall could be a touch warmer but there is very good contrast. Coat short, close and of excellent texture. Wonderful temperament - beautifully prepared and presented.

Oval eyes, expressive and of bright vivid blue. Long firm body with slim legs and dainty feet. Whip tail in balance. Well matched lilac based caramel points. Un-shaded off white body, her coat a touch long but well prepared and close lying. Delightful temperament – excellent presentation.

Mid length wedge head with large well set ears. Profile not quite straight – still has a very small depression evident. Firm chin, level bite. Very good oriental shape and set to bright china blue eyes. Long slender body, needs to develop her muscle tone. Long slim legs. Long fine whip tail. Well matched lilac based caramel points with clear brownish overtones showing, particularly noticeable on her ears and tail. Un-shaded off white body – her coat long and open today. Presentation and temperament both excellent.

Wide set jug-handle ears, roman profile, muzzle a tad fine and the chin rounds off slightly, level bite, oriental eyes, bright – perhaps needing a little more depth for perfection, minimal pinch, long neck he uses to good advantage, long firm body, whip tail just needs another 1” for balance, long fine legs. Dense seal brown points all well matched, his body shaded and could ideally be a touch warmer but very good contrast. Coat short, close and of excellent texture. Wonderful temperament – so relaxed. Congratulations on Best Neuter later in the day.
2 (Res w/h) HUTCHING’S GR PR WILLHAVETODO SIR PERCY (24n) 3 years A large substantial caramel chap who was not in the best of moods. Long wedge, chin could be stronger – his bite just over, large ears well set without extremity, slightly full oriental shaped eyes, bright medium tone needing more intensity, small rise over brow long rather plump body and sturdy long legs, tail thick but of good length. Points well matched brown/grey tone, heavily shaded, his coat was very patchwork as he had obviously been plucking a considerable area to his back and sides and although there was growth there it was still rather ‘threadbare’ and precluded the awarding of the cert I am afraid.
AC SIAMESE/BALINESE PREMIER MALE BREED 32
Close run thing on these two but the maturity and magnificent points colour of the winner shone through today.
1 & GR PR PR CHAIRIKKI TRIBAL WARRIOR (32a) 4 years 1 month Even medium wedge with large ears reasonably set -ideally could have a little more width between – oriental eyes of deep vivid blue (a rare treat) straight profile, small pinch, firm chin and level bite, quite a pronounced bump to back of skull – however this is always exaggerated on older cats I find as flesh tends to come off the head area the older they get. Long body of good weight and feel to him, long whiptail and elegant legs. Points wonderful bright rich reddish gold – paler front stockings as per normal –his coat bright white some tonal flank ‘spots’ Coat well prepared – just a little long. I understand this was his qualifying certificate – well done.
RES GR PR HARRINGTON’S PR LOLUJA CASTINGASPELL (32/10) 1year 9 months
Very stylish apricot tabby. Long wedge with large ears that need a little more width between to balance the length, almost straight profile, firm chin and level bite, slightly deep set eyes of good shape and medium blue tone, long well nourished and muscular body. Long strong legs whip tail. Warm apricot tabby markings – would like to see a little more intensity of colour to them by now, overall well defined pattern. Body shaded but sufficient contrast. Coat of excellent texture, short and close.
AC SIAMESE/BALINESE PREMIER FEMALE
1 & GR PR FREEMAN’S CH & PR SOWHYNOT SERENDIPITY (24c) 3 years 9 months Nicely balanced lady with an even wedge, ears are well set but could be a little larger, lovely eye shape and set and of a good depth of colour, almost straight profile, good depth to her chin and nice clean even bite, has a lovely neckline, body long well nourished, her tail is a good whip but needs another inch or two, long legs. Points a touch dark but show a pinky tone to a dove grey, some tonal shading but this does not detract, coat excellent just a little long. Congratulations on Best Female Neuter.
2 (RES GR PR w/h) DINSDALE’S GRCH & PR APPLEJACK BLUEFENIX (32b2) 5 years 4 months. Rather matronly looking blue tortie. Medium wedge rather square to muzzle, ears of good size – need to be more open to base and more width between, eyes of good shape and set and of a pleasing depth of blue although a little dull, rise to brow in profile, good chin and lovely white teeth to her level bite, body very heavy and lacking elegance, tail also short and thick and with tiny end defect. Very dark blue points intermingled with carrying cream tones- some rather hot; her coat was rather coarse to the feel.
CARAMEL POINT MALE NEUTER
Considered for BOB but not awarded:

TORTIE POINT ADULT FEMALE
1 CC & BOB POUNDS’ CH JOMESE MANYDOTS (32B1) 1 year 10 months
A very stylish seal tortie lady. I loved her short strong wedge and wide ear flare, eyes touch full and ideally could have more depth of colour, almost straight profile, chin rounds very slightly but bite ok, lovely neck and length of body, fine whip, lengthy legs. Warm dark seal points well broken with lovely bright red /gold - aptly named! Warm coat with tonal patching, excellent short close texture to her coat.
Congratulations on Best Adult Female and Best Adult.
CHOCOLATE POINT SIAMESE BREEDERS ADULT
2 (1st w/h) MORGAN’S ASTRALBLAESE ATALANTA F 1 year 2 months
Long wedge with pronounced pinch, ears of a good size and reasonable set, dip to profile, eyes slightly straight bit good shape and brilliance, firm depth to chin – a little narrow – bite undershot, fine body needing to mature, balancing whip and elegant legs. Points dark although show a degree of warmth, patchy to mask with ‘specs’ and white whisker pads. Coat of 1st class texture, warm ivory tone.
ADOLESCENT ADULT MALE
1 MULLEN’S FOXYPAWS ERICSSON (32fn) 1 year A well grown masculine lad with a strong wedge and large ears – ideally these could have a little more width between, his eyes I term ‘upside down eyes’ in as much they are straight across top lid but have a pleasing shape to lower lid, of very good depth of blue, straight profile although his forehead is rather long at present to the eye to nose level however he is still young and developing, firm depth to chin and level bite, very long firmly muscled body and length of balancing whip tail, stands tall. Points of a rather warm cream at present and needing to develop a hot dusky tone, coat of warm off white with tonal shading to flanks - his coat of super texture. Congratulations on Best Adult Male.
2 SIMPSON’S SHERMESE PRIME SUSPECT (24) 9 months 1 week A baby faced seal lad who was rather worried by it all. Medium wedge with large ears that could be a little more open to the base although reasonably well set, eyes full in shape although of a good depth to them, tiniest of dips to profile small pinch, chin could be stronger but bite ok, body growth commensurate with age although still to develop a real hard masculine feel to it, tail heavy although of good length, quite sturdy legs. Point s touch cold and his body also needing more warmth to it, coat of good texture although a little long.
Many Thanks to Harry and Lilian and their team. We had a really enjoyable day with some lovely cats. Thank you, Shirley, once again for your company and gentle handling of the exhibits.

What a gorgeous boy sitting in his pen calmly watching the people and cats with an inscrutable expression on his lovely, plump face. You could almost see him beam when my steward lifted him out he was so happy to have a fuss made of him. His large head had clear tabby marking on his face...double ribbons in evidence. Amber, intelligent eyes and long white whiskers. His coat is a bright marmalade colour with clear stripes down his back. So soft and silky that it was hard to stop stroking him. White bib and boots completed hid dapper appearance. A charming fellow that it was a pleasure to handle him.
