My thanks the Bruce & Gillian for the judging invitation and excellent hospitality, I enjoyed my stay enormously. David French did an excellent job as my steward and I hope he will steward again for me sometime.
OPEN CLASSES
A.C. Oriental Grand Premier Male
IMP GD PC – Cox’s IMP GD PR KHERAF RED HOTSHOT (37d) 26/05/06. A very handsome lad  with  lovely size and substance without sacrificing  elegance. Longer stylish head with very good top line and large well flared ears set to follow. Oriental eye shape and set with wicked expression and good clear green colour. Almost straight profile and good firm chin with level bite. Well defined neck line with long weighty but elegant body, long elegant limbs, tail well tapered but rather short for all that body length.  Rich red coat, showing a fair amount of spotted pattern, but sound and red to roots, and the length and texture was excellent.   A relaxed and friendly boy excellently presented.
R – McKnight’s IMP GD PR THAIRANO AL SKANDER (35) 05/09/02.  Another stylish boy, not quite the size of the winner but not small by any means. Medium length wedge with very good top line and large open based ears set to balance. Oriental shape and set to eyes, colour difficult to see as his pupils were very enlarged today.  Marginal dip to nose, firm chin and level bite.  Elegant neck, body has good length but was rather rotund which had the effect of making it look shorter than it actually was. Superb coat qualities, wonderfully short and sleek, the best coat I had all day, pristine white and very well prepared for the show. An easy boy to handle and beautifully presented.
Lilac Point Siamese Adult Male
1st CC w/h  - Bryson’s ADATEAM UP FOR IT 30/07/08. A big strong boy with excellent maturity for age. Head type good, a broad medium wedge with very good top line, ears could be a touch larger for balance but were very well set. Oval shape to eyes well set but colour could be a good deal deeper and he tends to squint.  Almost straight profile and good chin, bite level.  Long strong and very well muscled body for a youngster, long strong limbs and oval paws, tapered tail needs an inch to balance.  Points colouring incorrect for lilac, they were dark and rather sludgy with  no pinkish tone evident,  the paw pads were dark and more in keeping with caramel. Given his youth this is undoubtedly what he will eventually end up, but, in the available lighting, I was not prepared to wrong colour him today. He was probably very  unlucky to be next door to the female  who was a good lilac and thus made the difference very obvious. Coat texture generally good, it was also  almost clear with just a small amount of shading over the hips. Handled well and was very well presented.
Lilac Point Siamese Adult Female
Judged for BOB only and awarded – Mason’s CH GENETTA ISLAYMIST 12/11/07. Neat and dainty little queen who was much more substantial than she first appeared.  Nicely balanced medium wedge with good top  and large ears set to follow. Lovely eyes for shape, set and  expression with deep brilliant blue colour. Good profile, chin could be a touch firmer, bite untidy and missing a couple of incisors but looked level.  Long weighty body with a very good tone to it, long slender limbs and spoon paws, tail need length to balance. Soft grey points  with a hint of a pinkish overtone and well matched. Magnolia coat of very good length and texture with the lightest of shading to tone.  Excellent temperament and presentation.
Tortie Point Siamese Adult Female
CC & BOB – Watson’s ADATEAM MIAMO (32b8)  16/05/08. An attractive and quite dainty lady of very good type. Medium length wedge with very good top of head and large flared ears set to balance. Oriental eye shape and set with very good colour and sweet expression.  Straight profile and good chin with level bite.  Long and slender body, well covered and firm toned, long dainty limbs and neat paws, tail rather short for balance.  Lilac based caramel tortie points showing good brownish over tones to mask and tail, points well broken in pale and mid apricot, with interesting very pale tip to tail.  Lightly shaded coat of very good length and texture. A very gentle lady, beautifully presented.
2nd – Watson’s ATATEAM ELJAIMO (32b2) 16/05/08. Litter sister to the winner and a somewhat larger girl, also of very good type but of somewhat dubious colouring. Balanced head with very good top and large wide based ears set wide.  Basic eye shape good but held wide, she was also a little nervous so this didn’t help either, thus expression not quite oriental, but colour very good. Almost straight profile, deep strong chin and level bite. Excellent substance to long firm toned body, long limbs and tail to balance. Points almost navy blue in places with a hint of brown on the mask and tail, the tortie mingling was very pale and  I would have liked to have seen some richer tones to be sure she was blue based caramel rather than blue. As it was I decided to accept her as blue but I think as she ages it will become clear she is not, particularly as her pads are mauve and not blue. Coat of lovely sleek texture but quite heavily shaded overall. Shy but gentle, beautifully presented.
CC & BOB – Hull’s MAZPAHS CHANA BLACK 05/03/08. An elegant female of good type and style. Medium
Oriental Black Adult Female
length head with good top and proportionate ears well set. Eyes a little full in shape but colour very good, a clear mid green.  Almost straight profile good chin and level bite.  Long well covered body, long slender limbs, whip tail almost balances.  Excellent coat qualities, sleek glossy black, completely sound to roots.  Sweet tempered and easy to handle, excellently presented.
Oriental Bicolour Adult Female
1st – IC w/h – Michie’s FISEPO BLUE SOLEIL (48 40n) 12/07/08. This was the hardest decision that I had to make all day. A lovely female for type and her colouring was most attractive.  Super head for style and balance, wide top and large open based ears wide set. Oriental eye shape and set with snooty expression, colour could be a touch deeper but proximity of white probably a factor.  Good profile and very firm chin, unfortunately the bite was very undershot and this was my only reason for withholding the certificate on what was otherwise a very worthy winner.  Well defined neck line, long elegant and firm body, long slender limbs, tail needs a touch more length and has a tiny “pip” at the tip.  Blue based caramel tortie points, very dark brownish blue with large apricot patches, has more than the required one third white  which shows on legs, almost completely underneath and a small smidge on the mask.  Coat length and texture very good, lightly shaded.  Excellent to handle and excellently presented.
Oriental Cinnamon Kitten
DNC -  Hewson’s EMERPUS DANTE 14/11/08. This boy was a real enigma and even a conversation with his breeder after judging  did not explain the problem.  A very well grown boy of good type. Longer wedge that could ideally be a touch wider between his large ears which were set slightly tall.  Oval shape to eyes of medium green. Dip to profile centre nose, chin and bite okay.  Well developed body of good length, with long limbs and tail. Coat pattern very puzzling, his head is typical for a self -  albeit showing quite extensive ghost tabby markings, but his body is almost in keeping with a spotted tabby, even down to the paler ground and slight agouti invasion of the pattern areas, thus the Does Not Conform. Very good length and texture to coat. A friendly boy who handled well despite all the fiddling about to make sense  of his appearance. Very well presented.
Oriental Spotted Tabby Kitten Female
1st & BOB – Harvey’s FIORDILISO TIGERLILY (38n) 14/03/09. Now this I liked very much, a very promising  baby with a super clear well defined and sound spotted pattern - a joy to see and I keep my fingers crossed that she stays that way. Stylish little head with very good top and large nicely flared ears set to balance. Very good shape and set to eyes with an inscrutable expression and good green colour coming through.  Tiny baby dips to profile as yet, firm chin and level bite with very teeny incisors.  Really solid little body of promising length, long spidery limbs and tiny paws, whippy tail to balance. Spotted pattern shows clear well rounded spots with minimal linkage and at present no agouti invasion, spine line almost broken, the whole completely sound to roots. Colour very attractive, brownish lilac-based caramel with paler ground and bluish sheen to the tabby markings on the head. Coat texture very good for a baby, very short and close.  Super to handle, a very self assured young miss, excellently presented.
Oriental Bicolour Kitten Male
1st & BOB – Samphier’s EIREACHDAIL AINT MISBEHAVING (48 38d)  24/02/09. A very promising little boy for type, showing a very good balance between base colour and white. Stylish head with very good top line and large wide based ears excellently  set.  Oriental eye shape and set with olive green colour. Tiny dip to nose, firm chin and level bite. Long body, well covered and firm toned, long limbs and super long whip tail to balance. Rich red colouring to spotted pattern, spots generally good and well defined, spine line a touch solid as yet. White shows in all the right places to just over the required one third, on all four limbs and completely underneath with attractive inverted “v” on the nose. Coat texture soft and baby fine as yet but lies fairly well. Excellent temperament and presentation.
2nd – Debowska’s METEXA MONDADORI (48b) 04/02/09. A well grown kitten of overall good type.  Shorter wedge with very good top and large ears that although well set he tends to bonnet.  Oval shape to eyes, straight set at present, colour a good clear green.  Good profile and chin with level bite. Very long body, quite slender, with long limbs and long whip tail. Very dark cool toned chocolate colouring to coat, white areas good and in all the right places to at least one half, although the effect was somewhat spoilt by the extensive amount of bleeding of white hairs into the base colour, coat length and texture very good. A very sweet boy to handle, and beautifully presented on a throne bed.
3rd – Samphier’s EIREACHDAIL ORINOCO (48 43n) 24/02/09. This boy was beautifully grown for his age. Strong head for a baby with very good top and large ears very well set. Super shape set and expression to eyes with mid green colour.  Tiny dip centre nose, firm chin and level bite. Long well developed body with excellent substance, long strong limbs and long tail, unfortunately the latter has a visible and fixed deviation –  albeit small. It was a great pity as he would have been placed higher in his class. Shaded pattern “classic” based and quite well defined for a baby, with tabby markings on the top third of the hair shaft and  a paler undercoat on the remainder.  White area good with well over the one third required, coat texture excellent, short and very close. Super temperament, a very friendly boy. Excellently presented.
Oriental Bicolour Kitten Female
1st – Denholm’s FISEPO PIPISTRELLE PEARL (48 40bt) 29/01/09. Neat baby of good type. Good head and top line with large  ears well set.  Almond shaped eyes well set and of good green colour.  Slight dip to nose, good chin and bite.  Dainty but firm toned body if good length, dainty limbs and whip tail to balance. Darker but warm tabby markings with good tail rings, points well matched for tone, white areas very hard to discern, she has the barest smidge on the muzzle, there appears to be some over the back and across the chest, the underneath appears white but with a pointed chocolate who knows at this stage, however,  this will all become clearer as she matures. Coat texture excellent. A sweet baby excellently presented.
Oriental Shaded Kitten Male
WP – Fyfe’s EIREACHDAIL SLINKI MALINKI (43a) 06/03/09. A lovely baby for type, very stylish and well grown, but unfortunately not a Shaded.  Super head with  wide top line and large fly away ears excellently set. Oriental eye shape and set with a hint of a squint at present – teething perhaps? but very good vivid green colour. Baby growth dips to profile, good chin and level bite.  Long and slender but nice and weighty body, elegant limbs and whip tail.  Mid blue coat shows spotted pattern that is sound to roots, even allowing for the fact that the coat is very short, there is no hint of a paler undercoat at present. The pattern does show  a little linkage and slight agouti invasion of the pattern areas, the length and texture is very good. I do think he should be re-registered. A happy little boy excellently presented.
Havana Neuter Male
Judged for BOB only and awarded – Woolley’s PR GENTANTIQUE ATHOLDORN 12/09/07. A large person of good type. Fairly well balanced medium wedge with good top line,  the ears could be marginally larger but they were well set. Oval shaped eye, setting okay, colour yellowish green. Good profile and chin, bite untidy with several incisors missing - appeared level. Body of good length but looked shorter due to his waistline which was rather more comfortable than ideal,  medium length limbs and tail that almost balances. Darker but warmish Havana coat, marginally unsound today but okay for the certificate, length and texture good. An easy boy to handle, excellently presented.
Foreign White Neuter Male
Judged for BOB only and awarded - McKnight’s IMP GD PR THAIRANO AL SKANDER (35) 05/09/02
Oriental Lilac Neuter Female
PC & BOB  - Fyfe’s BETABIL MY FAIRLADY 05/08/08.  A good sized lady, quite stylish. Medium length wedge with good top of head, and largish ears well set but which she can top at times. Eye shape a little on the full size but better when she relaxed, colour pale green.  Good profile and chin with level bite. Very good substance and tone to long body, long elegant limbs, well tapered tail almost balances.  Lilac coat looked marginally dark when I judged her in the morning but when she went across the BIS table later in the day her colouring looked much better. It was a touch unsound but acceptable for the certificate, length and texture excellent, short and very sleek. A little shy but handled well, excellently presented.
Oriental Cinnamon Neuter Male
Judged for BOB only and awarded – Hamilton’s  EMERPUS HOCUS POCUS 12/05/06. A large but elegant neuter boy of very good type. Longer wedge but top line very good and ears large enough to almost balance. Oriental eye shape and set with hazel green colour.  Good profile and chin, muzzle rather square and could be finer, bite level. Long elegant but weighty body of good length, long elegant limbs and oval paws, long tail to balance. Good warm toned cinnamon coat, some tabby ghosting evident and marginally unsound but acceptable for this colour, length and texture generally good. Rather a shy person but handled well. Excellently presented.
MISCELLANEOUS CLASSES
A.C. Maiden Adult
1st – French’s PALMIRA BEAUJANGLES M (24b) M  05/09/08.  A promising young male, he still has a fair amount of maturing to do but is reasonably in keeping with age at the moment. Lovely head type, ear size and set, he is also a good warm mid chocolate colour. I will be interested to see how he matures. Excellent temperament.
2nd - Bryson’s ADATEAM UP FOR IT 30/07/07.
A.C. Breeders Kitten
1st – Harvey’s ENIGMATIC TAKEACHANCEONME (32b1) F 19/11/08. A well grown and stylish baby. Super head type with broad top. Eye colour very good. Points rather black and white in effect at present with cool toned seal and pale red mingling. Sweet tempered.
2nd – French’s NEXIS ENRICO (24b) M 26/11/08.  A well grown boy of goodish type. Head a touch unbalanced, he needs more top width and the ears could ideally be a little larger.  Very good points colour, soft warm chocolate. A dear boy to handle.
A.C. Siamese Non Breeders Kitten
1st – Evans’ ROCHEVALLEY BELLEOTHEBALL (24n) F 20/10/08.   A very attractive girl for type, although a touch on the small side for her age. Strong head for a female with huge wide based ears she can bonnet at times. Eyes a little straight set at present but very good colour. Points promising with good sludgy overtones. Not the happiest of bunnies today, coming into call perhaps?
2nd – Fox’s PLEZETOBE PAPER CHASER (24b) F 6/12/08. I liked this little female very much for type. Stylish head with wide top and lovely size and set to ears.
Excellent shape set and expression to eyes of super brilliant colour. Would have been my winner but for her rather dark and slightly cool toned points. Super to handle.
3rd – Brown’s FISEPO THISTLEWAY AURORA (32t8) F 3/12/08
A.C. Neuter – Not a CC winner.
1st – Rothwell’s RIVANESS PRINCESS SHADOW (32/8) FN 01/08/08. An attractive lady of good type and style. Good eyes for shape and set but colour could be a tad darker. Very good pattern with super tail rings.  Coat heavily shaded for a youngster but texture excellent. Handled well.
2nd – Rankin’s KHERAF RED SENTINAL (32a) MN 25/09/08.  A large elegant neuter of  good type and style. Head marginally long for balance but ears size and set good. Eye colour good. Points rather pale but reasonably bright in tone.  A friendly boy.
A.C. Neuter – CC winner
1st – Pages’ PR ASHJOLEX ZACHARYBINX (32/1) MN 27/04/07.   He is such a lovely boy, very stylish indeed,  albeit a touch long in the head. His eyes are very exaggerated for shape and set but it gives him such a snooty expression and he has a temperament to die for.  Coat of lovely sleek tetxure.
2nd – Mather’s GD PR STATIONARY SCARLET SHADOW (32a) MN 07/07/05. Another stylish boy, very good head with wide top and very large well set ears. He has excellent red points, rich and bright in tone, an impressively pale coat, but a very short tail for such a long cat. Excellent to handle.
3rd – Rothwell’s CH & PR SIMPLYSIAM STARTARUMOUR (24a) FN 03/06/06. A pity this lady is so dark  as she is very stylish indeed. However she did looked a lot better going across the table later in the day so the lighting must have been to blame to some extent. Coat very heavily shaded and appeared rather brownish, but pad pads correct for blue. Excellent to handle.
A.C. Oriental Breeders Adult
1st Hamilton’s GD CH TRELGANDORF BURNT SIENNA (29) F 24/05/0. Very good type and colouring to this lady. Head stylish and well balanced with good eye shape, set and colour. Bite appeared marginally under. Coat a touch harsh in texture today. Super temperament.
2nd – Gibson’s GD CH KHERAD ENDOFTHERAINBOW (37e) F 26/05/06. Also stylish with fairly good green eyes.  Attractive coat of dense glossy black with a good deal of mid and pale red mingling overall,  the texture was excellent, short sleek and close lying. Easy to handle.
3rd – Boddy’s EMERPUS BLUE DANUBE (37a) F 10/09/08. Of overall good type, although the wedge is marginally long and the top of head a touch narrow for true balance, he also tends to puff out her whisker pads which doesn’t help the overall appearance.  Super coat for length and texture, and mainly sound to roots. Handled well.
A.C. Oriental Non Breeders Adult.
1st – Harvey’s FIRODILISO CUBA (29) M 26/08/08. Extremely stylish lad, maturity in keeping with age. Very good head type with lovely eye shape, set, expression and vivid green colouring. Havana coat appeared on the dark side, possibly due to lighting but it was warm toned and very sound, length and texture good. A promising boy who handled very well.
2nd -  Hull’s MAZPAHS CHANA BLACK 05/03/08.
A.C. Oriental   Debutante
1st - Samphier’s EIREACHDAIL AINT MISBEHAVING (48 38d)  24/02/09.

A.C. Oriental Kitten 6 – 9 months
DNC - Hewson’s EMERPUS DANTE 14/11/08.
Radius Neuter
1st - Woolley’s GENTANTIQUE ATHOLDORN 12/09/07.
2nd – Rankin’s DEAMCATCHER CHEROKEE (38b) MN08/12/07. A stylish boy and I did prefer his overall type to the winner, however pattern problems put him down to second today.  He has a very solid spine line which is incorrect re the SOP, his shoulder spotting is very good with small well rounded clear spots, but the remainder of his spotting is very linked. In top condition and easy to handle.
Visitors Neuter
1st - Cox’s IMP GD PR KHERAF RED HOTSHOT (37d) 26/05/06.
2nd - Hamilton’s  EMERPUS HOCUS POCUS 12/05/06.

1st – Hull’s BURNTHWAITES BEDAZZLED (35) MN 22/05/08. A very promising and stylish little boy with very good head type and large well set ears.  Super coat, beautifully short and sleek for a baby, “persil” white and perfectly prepared. Very self-confident.

WP – Fyfe’s EIREACHDAIL SLINKI MALINKI (43a) 06/03/09.
A.C. Visitors HHP
1st – McRae & Gabb’s ALI (Back Classic Tabby & White) MN 4yrs. A lovely large Classic tabby bi coloured boy in super condition. Love his clear green eyes, they have a very sweet expression. Excellent temperament.
2nd – Stewart’s MUNGO (Black) MN 1yr 2 months. This chap was rather fed up, possibly the heat, when I got to him. He had a good spit at me and as  I didn’t want to upset him further he had the minimum of handling. I did note he had lovely coat texture, very silky and fine.

Mr C Dryden

What can I say - I first attended this show in 1985 and showed my first show cat here the following year, it only seems like yesterday, so some 24 years later I was honoured to come back to judge, I thoroughly enjoyed the day as always and the day was made even more enjoyable with my steward Gaynor Rothwell who had a very good day with her cats too. Thank you Gaynor. A big thank you also to the committee and to Bruce and Gillian for inviting me.
SEAL POINT KITTEN MALE
1st Robb's Kheraf Geraldo (24) 28.011.08
Well grown boy for his age looking a bit out of balance today his head seems to have grown more than his ears and ideally needs larger ears at present with some more flare and width on top Straight profile with firm chin and level bite. Lovely depth to muzzle. Long strong body with good muscle tone developing and long strong limbs and paws to grow into. Eyes of good colour that ideally I would prefer deeper in colour and were a smidge deep set and requiring more expression for me. Warm seal brown points with excellent warm cream coat with a smidge of shading in tone. Overall a strong boy looking good.
SEAL POINT KITTEN FEMALE
1st BOB Evan's Flutterby Funtime Gal (24) 11/10/08

Deep set eyes rather up side down in shape and really needing to be a deeper shade. Long muscular body and fine limbs and whip tail. Needs to learn some manners.
A/C Visitors Neuter
1st Rothwell's CH and Pr Simplisiam Startarumour 24A Very dark blue point lady of excellent type with long well balanced head with straight profile and firm chin and level bite, lovely eyes for expression and colour. Body rather plump with quite heavily shaded coat in tone with excellent texture. Long whip tail to balance and fine limbs and dainty paws. Well done on BIS female neuter.
2nd Spence's Gr Pr Scotmar Classie Lassie 24a Pretty lady of good type with large well set ears, darkish blue points with slightly fawn toned coat showing shading to tone. Rather full eyes of very good colour requiring more expression for me.
3rd Macleans Rivaness Barbarosa 32/1 Attractive large robust seal tabby point lady of good type with large well set ears and good top. Rather large eyes of good blue but rather rounded and a slightly bland expression. Long muscular body of excellent proportions. Very dramatic seal tabby points all well traced in a slightly black seal especially on tail but super markings from her double cheek ribbons and thumb prints with super leg bars and well ringed tail. In super condition.

Mrs N Farnsworth

A really enjoyable show held in lovely surroundings on a glorious July day.  A wonderful welcome from the Show Managers, Gillian & Bruce Bennett and the Committee who were totally committed to making everyone feel relaxed and comfortable.  My steward was Roz  McKnight who proved to be excellent company and a dab hand at the job.  Should you venture south of the border, Roz, and would like to steward, I’m your (wo)man.  Finally, I must thank the exhibitors who brought their beautiful cats for us to enjoy and who were gracious in defeat as well as in victory.  The table was organised by the notorious northern Mafia so everything was processed without a hitch.  A super day, thank you.

Mr H Meekings

Thanks to Bruce, Gillian and the show management team for the invitation to judge and their hospitality, good to see a healthy entry and some quality cats. Thanks to Mrs Paterson, whose first stewarding engagement this was; she who did very well, and I hope she feels emboldened to try it again. I think the hall lighting must have rather flattered Siamese eye colour - it's a long time since my notes contained so many "deep blue"s - still, one can only judge on what one sees.

IGPC Page's GR PR BILLSTES MRBEAUJANGLES (32/5) 1 May 06
A large impressive lad of excellent type. Longish even wedge, good width at the top, well set large ears. Straight profile, firm chin, bite lacking most incisors but level. Eyes of very good shape, set perhaps marginally straight, of a good depth of blue. Very long well fed body, long legs with neat paws, tail needs an extra fraction to balance. Well marked in a bright though slightly pale red: clear "M", close a little long but of excellent texture. Excellent temperament and presentation.
Res IGPC Mather's GR PR STATIONARY SCARLETSHADOW (32a) 7 Jul 05
A handsome strong lad of very good type. Long even wedge, good width at the top, well set large ears. Profile straight though slightly angled down from the brow line, firm deep chin, bite level with all incisors still present. Eyes of very good shape and set though slightly small, of a good depth of blue. Very long weighty body, long legs with neat paws, tail needs an inch to balance and rather blunt at the tip. Points a very good bright red, lightly shaded warm white body, coat a fraction long but of good texture. Superb temperament; excellent presentation.
Siamese Imperial Grand Premier Female
1 (IGPC N/A) Spence's PR SCOTMAR CLASSIE LASSIE (24a) 9 Apr 07
A dainty girl of good type. Longish wedge with a small pinch, good width at the top, well set ears of adequate size. Profile almost straight, chin ebbs a little, bite level. Eyes of good shape and set, of a good depth of blue. Medium length firm body, long legs with neat paws, tail needs an extra fraction to balance. Points a darkish blue, moderate shading to body but cool-toned underneath the shading, close coat of excellent texture. Excellent temperament and presentation. Unfortunately, just lacking the little extra needed for the high award, though seeing now who she was I think she looked better than I have ever seen her, and I would have happily awarded a grand certificate - not a great consolation, I know.
2 French's GR CH & GR PR NEXSIS MADAMWAZEL CARAMEL (32/8) 25 May 04
A fine-boned girl of good type. Long wedge with a small pinch, needing a little more width at the top, well set large ears. Small dip in profile and the nose protruding beyond the otherwise vertical line of the front of the head, firm chin, bite level lacking most incisors. Eyes of excellent shape and set, though she did open them rather wide when out, of a good depth of blue. Medium length slender body, unfortunately with a midline hernia near the hind legs, confirmed by the duty vet, and probably an accident when she was spayed, but a withholding fault nonetheless. Long legs with neat paws, tail needs an extra inch to balance. Marked in a good blue based caramel, good "M", single ribbon, very faint thumbprints, good leg bars, tail three quarters ringed. Moderately shaded body, close coat of good texture. Rather timid, excellent presentation. She too lacked the extra required for a certificate at this level, even had the hernia been absent.
Seal Point Adult Male
1 (CC N/A) White's DEDANNAN ELEGANTSA 26 Jul 08
A lad looking rather more juvenile even than his age of just under a year suggested, of reasonably good type. Medium length wedge rather broad in the muzzle and needing more width at the top, ears set in line but need to be a fraction larger to balance. Small dip in profile, firm chin, bite scissored over. Eyes of good shape set a little straight needing a little more depth of blue. Medium length firm body, long legs with neat paws, tail needs a little extra to balance. Points a dark seal showing some warmth, light pepper & salt shading over the body, more heavily across the top of the head, the body rather cooler in tone than I should prefer. Close coat of a distinctly harsh texture. Excellent temperament and presentation.
BOB Shand's GR CH ANDALYN AMADEUS 4 Jun 06
A handsome lad of very good type although for me just lacking in the final degree of masculinity. Longish wedge with a slight pinch, good width at the top, slight jowling now, well set large ears. Almost straight profile, firm though slightly shallow chin, bite a little messy but level. Eyes of good shape and set and a good depth of blue. Long strong body, long legs with neat paws, tail needing an extra fraction. Points a dark warm seal, moderately shaded body a bit cooler in tone than I should prefer, close coat of good texture. A little shy but handled well, excellent presentation.
Blue Point Adult Female
1+CC+BOB Fox's FURRYFACE JAGER 6 Aug 08
A promising girl of good type. Longish wedge slightly fine in the muzzle, good width at the top, well set large ears. Straight profile, firm chin and level bite. Eyes of excellent shape and set and good depth of blue. Long firm body, though she did try to disguise the length when in her pen, long legs with neat paws, tail needs an extra fraction to balance. Points a good blue, the tail a little darker, lightly shaded body not quite as cool in tone as I should prefer. Close coat of very good texture, excellent temperament and presentation.

Also considered for BOB Page's PR ASHJOLEX ZACHARYBINX (32/1) 27 Apr 07
An extremely long and handsome lad of very good type. Long wedge with a small pinch, width at the top ideally given the length of head would be slightly greater, well set large ears. Straight profile, firm deep chin, bite level. Well set eyes of rather exaggerated shape and set, rather deep set, of a good depth of blue. Very long strong body, long legs with neat paws, tail needs an extra fraction to balance. Well marked in a dark seal: clear "M", thumbprints, one and a half ribbons, very good leg bars, tail two thirds ringed. Moderately shaded body, close coat of very good texture. Superb temperament, excellent presentation. Ran the red tabby boy quite close for BOB, but in the end just lost out.
Tabby Point Neuter Female
1+PC Rothwell's RIVANESS PRINCESS SHADOW (32/8) 1 Aug 08
A girl of good type. Medium length even wedge, good width at the top, well set large ears. Profile straight apart from a bump on the nose, firm chin and level bite. Eyes of good shape and set though a little full and she does open them wide when out of the pen, of a good depth of blue. Long firm body, long legs with neat paws, balancing length of tail. Well marked in a blue-based caramel, very good facial markings including faint thumbprints, multiple cheek ribbons, very good leg bars, tail almost completely ringed. Moderately shaded body, close coat of excellent texture. Excellent temperament and presentation.
2 Maclean's RIVANESS BARBAROSSA (32/1) 29 May 07
A girl of good type. Medium length wedge with a small pinch and quite short in the muzzle, good width at the top, well set large ears. Small dip in profile, very firm chin and level bite. Eyes of good basic shape but full, well set, mostly of a good blue but paling towards the rims. Medium length well nourished body, long legs with neat paws, tail needing an extra fraction to balance. Well marked in a good warm seal, good facial markings, good leg bars, fully ringed tail if with a solid line along the top. Lightly shaded body, close coat of good texture. Excellent temperament and presentation.

An adolescent of good type. Long almost even wedge, needing a little more width at the top, large very mobile ears which when she was finally persuaded to relax were sufficiently open at the base. Straight profile, firm chin and level bite. Eyes of good shape and set of a good vibrant green. Long firm body, long legs with neat paws, tail needs an extra fraction to balance. Colour a slightly dark blue, quite sound, close coat of excellent texture. Excellent temperament and presentation.

Eyes of very good shape and set of a pale but pure green. Very long well fed body, long legs with neat paws, tail needs a little extra to balance the body length. 1 Robb's RIVANESS BERTIE WOOSTER (24n) 10 Mar 08
A handsome youngster of very good type. Longish almost even wedge, good width at the top, well set large ears. Straight profile, I should prefer a more vertical line at the front but the chin is certainly not weak and has depth, level bite. Eyes of very good shape and set of a good depth of blue. Long muscular body, long legs with neat paws, tail needs an extra fraction to balance. Points a dark sludgy blue-based caramel, lightly shaded body, close coat of excellent texture. Excellent temperament and presentation.
2 Watson's ADATEAM ELJAIMO (32b2) F 16 May 08
An attractive girl of very good type. Medium length well balanced wedge, good width at the top, well set large ears. Straight profile, firm chin and level bite. Eyes of very good shape and set and of a good depth of blue, but unfortunately she would insist on opening them wide which rather spoiled the appearance of her head. Medium length firm body, long legs with neat paws, tail needs an extra fraction and with a small irregularity at the tip. Points quite a dark shade of blue, broken with shades of cream which was mostly cool-toned except under her hind paws where it was rather warm, but still at present I think her blue rather than anything else. Lightly shaded body, coat a fraction long but of very good texture. Excellent temperament without a hint of "tortieness"; excellent presentation

A well grown and attractive girl of good type. Longish wedge with a small pinch, good width at the top, large ears well set. Profile almost straight, chin ebbs slightly, bite level. Long firm body, long legs with neat paws, balancing length of tail. Points a warm but darkish chocolate which I hope does not darken any further, tail very brindled and the paws somewhat so which did improve the initial impression of their colour. Unshaded warm ivory body, close coat of excellent texture. Excellent temperament and presentation.
2 Evans's FLUTTERBY FUN TIME GAL (24) F 11 Oct 08
An attractive girl of very good type, but unfortunately distinctly diminutive given that she is almost adult, and that determined her lower placing. Medium length even wedge, good width at the top, well set large ears. Straight profile, firm chin, bite scissored over. Eyes of very good shape and set and of a good depth of blue. Medium length firm body, long legs with neat paws, tail needs an extra fraction for balance. Points a darkish warm seal, lightly shaded warm body, coat close and of a good texture. Excellent temperament and presentation.

An attractive girl of very good type and impressive colour. Longish well balanced even wedge, good width at the top, well set large ears. Straight profile, firm chin and level bite. Eyes of very good shape and set of an olive green. Long muscular rather wriggly body, long legs with neat paws, tail needs an extra fraction for balance. Colour a very good sound cinnamon mingled everywhere with shades of red, close coat of excellent texture. Excellent temperament and presentation. My clear choice for best oriental female, and later overall best oriental congratulations.
2 Harvey's FIORIDLISO CUBA (29) M 26 Aug 08
A handsome lad of very good type. Longish even wedge, good width at the top, well set large ears. Straight profile, firm chin and level bite. Eyes of good shape and set of a slightly yellow-tinged green. Long muscular body, long legs with neat paws, balancing length of tail. Colour a darkish chestnut, sound to the roots, but a much better colour than he appeared in his pen, slight ghosting to the lower sides. Close coat of excellent texture. Excellent temperament and presentation.
3 Michie's FISEPO BLUE SOLEIL (48 40p) F 12 Jul 08
A very attractive girl, of very good type, with plenty of white. I would prefer deeper blue eyes but they were by no means pale. Unfortunately, her bite was clearly undershot which determined her placing.

An attractive girl of good type. Medium length wedge with a small pinch, good width at the top, well set large ears. Straight profile, firm chin and level bite. Colour a darkish chestnut not quite sound to the roots, coat a fraction long but of good texture. Excellent temperament and presentation.

Wrong Pattern Hewson's EMERPUS DANTE (37k) M 14 Nov 08
A well grown lad of good type. Long wedge with a small pinch, needing a little more width at the top , well set large ears. Dip in profile, firm chin and level bite. Eyes of good shape and set of a clear green. Long well fed body, long legs with neat paws, tail needs an extra fraction to balance. Colour quite a good cinnamon, but here the problems began - the body and tail definitely looked to belong to a spotted tabby, with quite good sound spotting to the sides rather linked on the upper sides, clear tail rings and a pale ground colour with much greater contrast than ordinary ghost markings would permit, on the other hand the head did not look to belong to a tabby but just a cinnamon with heavy ghost pattern. Rather a conundrum, then, and on later reflection I think the marking of "wrong pattern" was a mistake, though definitely he did not conform to the standard for a cinnamon self. Close coat of good texture. Excellent temperament and presentation.
AC Non-Self Oriental Kitten
1 Denholm's FISEPO PIPISTRELLE PEARL (48 40bt) F 29 Jan 09
A promising girl of good type. Medium length even wedge, good width at the top, well set large ears. Profile almost straight, firm chin and level bite. Eyes of good shape and set of a good depth of blue. Long firm body, long legs with neat paws, balancing length of tail. Well marked points in a darkish warm chocolate, unshaded pale body making it difficult to determine where she was white by eye, but clearly detectable by texture to have white to the whole underbody and a little way up the sides, and some over the lower back, white to all paws, not much on the head but some to the muzzle, in all rather over one third white. Close coat of excellent texture, excellent temperament and presentation.

A strong lad of good type. Longish wedge with a small pinch, good width at the top, well set large ears. Straight profile, firm chin, bite under. Eyes of good shape and set of a clear olive green. Very long strong body, long legs with neat paws, tail needs an extra inch for balance. Pattern colour a very dark chocolate on a slightly cool ground. Very good facial markings, 2 complete necklaces, with good spine lines, the butterfly rather sketchy and further down the back than is usual, oysters really need better definition, and the lower part incomplete particularly on the left side, with substantial agouti invasion. Good tail rings. Close coat of excellent texture. Excellent temperament if rather timid and determined to hook himself to any available part of the pen, excellent presentation.

My second visit to Scotland this year and my sincere thanks must go to Bruce and Gillian for the kind invitation to this specialist show, for the warm Scottish hospitality and excellent fare. AC ORIENTAL CHAMPION FEMALE
GR CH HOLDSWORTH’S GR CH BILLSTES TIFFANY 37m F 9/7/07 really attractive mature cinnamon tortie queen with beautifully balanced head and large flared ears set at just the right angle to follows the lines well. Lovely strength of profile with firm chin and clean level bite and pale green oriental eyes. Firm long muscular body and a really short close lying coat that is a wonderful bright mingled cinnamon and red tortie in excellent condition. Slender long legs with neat paws and a lovely length of whip like tail to complete the balance. She was my nomination for best oriental adult and I am delighted to say was later overall best oriental exhibit by a unanimous verdict, congratulation to her owner/breeder.
RES GR CH HAMILTON’S GR CH TRELGANDORF BURNT SIENNA 29 F 24/5/06 mature Havana girl with excellent temperament, good wedge head with large flared ears that are well set. Oriental green eyes and nice strength of profile with good depth of chin although her bite is fractionally untidy now as she loses a few canine teeth. Long slender yet firm and well muscled body with rich warm chestnut coat in lovely condition although a fraction long it is generally sound. Slender legs with neat oval paws I would have just preferred another inch on the length of her tail, good presentation she was just unlucky to come across her rival today.

AC ORIENTAL PREMIER MALE
GR PR BODDY’S PR EMERPUS LUCIFER 41b MN 6/6/06 handsome gentle shy chocolate classic tabby boy who I see got his name for his date of birth but he certainly doesn’t live up to his title in that respect. Lovely head with large well placed flared ears with clear thumb prints, oriental set pale green eyes with double ribbons. Tabby M to brow and lovely straight profile with firm chin and level bite and well defined whisker spots on a warm bronze ground although I would have liked a little more warmth to the chocolate. Good neck lines with four necklaces, three lines run from the top of his head one either side going out over the shoulders to form the wings of the butterfly and good spotting within these wings and across the nape of his neck. He then has the three spine lines and well defined clear oysters on each flank that are well matched, there is a tiny amount of agouti invasion on the very edge of some of the pattern but the penetration of colour within the pattern area is excellent right to the roots, warm bronze tummy with chocolate spots, long muscular body and the coat quality and condition is short and close lying with a real gloss. Long legs with neat oval paws and the slightly broader leg bracelets of a classic, and lovely length of whip like tail with broad classic rings, he is a lovely boy that I felt I had to reward on the quality of his classic pattern.
RES GR PR MCGAUGHEY’S CH & PR ADVISH MR POFOGOFOLIS 37 MN 10/10/06 big strong handsome black boy with lovely head and huge flared ears and wide top line. Oriental set mid green eyes and almost straight profile just a tiny bump on his nose, good depth of chin and a lovely clean level bite which is becoming rare on a cat of this age. Huge long muscular body with dense black coat in excellent condition if just a fraction long, Strong firm limbs and neat oval paws with  excellent length of whippy tail to balance, lovely presentation and temperament and ran the winner very close, I just had to reward the other boys pattern.

ORIENTAL CARAMEL NEUTER
1 IC & BOB CAMPBELL’S ADSETSH DARLENE CARA 37n FN 4/8/06 sweet natured young lady with moderate even wedge, her ears could have been a fraction larger but they are well placed with quite a good flare with width across the top line. Lovely brilliant green eyes slightly full in shape but the colour makes up for that, straight profile with nice depth of chin and clean level bite. Good length of slender body with caramel coat that is basically sound to the roots, a fraction long but lies well, slightly harsh in texture. Slender long legs with neat oval feet, I did just feel that she would have benefited for another inch on her tail, excellent temperament and presentation.

ORIENTAL SPOTTED TABBY NEUTER
1 PC WITHHELD RANKIN’S DREAMCATCHER CHEROKEE 38b MN 8/12/07 a really big boy with quite a good head and large ears with thumb prints that he was inclined to carry rather tall. Slightly full pale green eyes with double ribbons, straight profile with firm chin and level bite M to brow, whisker spots and two broken necklaces. Long firm muscular body with a very solid spine line and a pattern that is more inclined to mackerel stripes than spotting but not definitively either, the chocolate colour penetration within the pattern is good although the pattern areas are quite small with some marked agouti invasion and there is poor matching of pattern on either flank, quite a nice rich chocolate colour on a warm bronze ground. Slender long legs with good leg bars and neat oval paws and well ringed long whippy tail, my main reason for withholding was the rather mixed up pattern, good natured boy nicely presented.

CHOCOLATE POINT SIAMESE KITTEN MALE
1 FRENCH’S NEXSIS ENRICO 24b M 26/11/08 rather shy young man of good overall size and development for his age, quite a good head with large wide based ears but he was inclined to hold them rather upright and I would have liked more width across the top line which would have helped the ear set. Straight profile with good depth of chin and level bite and lovely deep blue eyes which were of oriental set but he held them rather full although they looked better when he relaxed a little, well developed milk chocolate mask matched to his ears. Slender long body with good muscle development and really short close lying ivory coat that is clear of any shading and in excellent condition. Elegant long legs with neat oval paws and slightly paler chocolate stockings, lovely length of whip tail to balance and well matched for colour, good presentation and sweet natured just a pity he was so tense and therefore not showing himself to full advantage.

CHOCOLATE POINT SIAMESE KITTEN FEMALE
1 & BOB FOX’S PLEZETOBE PAPER CHASER 24b F 6/12/08 very confident and pretty little miss with excellent head and huge wide based ears beautifully set with wide top line. Lovely sparkling bright blue oriental eyes and good strength of profile with firm chin and level bite and chocolate mask that is well developed for her age and the colour was much warmer out of the pen than it appeared at first. Good length of slender body of good weight and really short close lying ivory coat clear of any shading and in excellent condition. Long slender little legs with dainty oval paws and well matched chocolate stockings and a very expressive whippy tail of outstanding length, lovely presentation and super personality.

TABBY POINT SIAMESE KITTEN
1 BOB WITHHELD BROWN’S FISEPO THISTLEWAY AURORA 32t8 F 3/12/08 quite a stylish young lady but extremely anxious, generally good balance to her hear with huge wide based ears that almost have thumb prints. Straight profile with good depth of chin and level bite, she has tabby M to her brow but eye ribbons are only just discernable and evidence of breaks in the colour on her mask, Oriental eye set and shape but very pale almost china blue in colour which I found disappointing and was my reason for withholding the BOB. Good length of slender body with clear magnolia coat that is short close lying and in lovely condition, slender long legs with neat little paws that show evidence of tortie breaks in colour on her paw pads. Long whippy tail that has quite distinct rings and also evidence of pale cream tortie breaks, such a pity about her eye colour but lovely presentation and condition.
2 FRASER’S ANUBIS MADAME BUTTERFLY 32.4 F 4/1/09 quite aptly named young lady at least the Madame part, moderate even wedge with ears that she carried quite tall and they could have been bigger. Almost straight profile with good chin and level bite, her eyes were quite full in shape bright clear blue in colour, she just about has the start of some very pale lilac tabby markings on her face and a hint of colour on her ears. Long body well grown slightly inclined to cobbiness with crystal clear magnolia coat that is slightly fluffy and a fraction long, slender legs and neat paws I could hardly distinguish any leg bracelets and very pale lilac rings just visible on her long tail, well presented but not very happy.
TORTIE POINT SIAMESE KITTEN
1 & BOB HARVEY’S ENIGMATIC TAKEACHANCEONME 23b1 F 19/11/08 delightful seal tortie point young queen with lovely head and huge wide based ears that are beautifully set with wide top line. Wonderful deep blue oriental eyes and straight profile with good chin and clean level bite with well developed seal tortie mask with good breaks of colour, although I was disappointed not to find any evidence of red yet. Slender body of good weight and development with short close lying coat that has some pale tonal shading along her back, long legs with dainty oval feet again with good breaks of colour on all four limbs but I did struggle to find any red, lovely long whippy tail with just the tiniest fleck of red. Excellent temperament and presentation I do just wish there was a better expression of red on the tortie points especially seal and chocolate.

AC SIAMESE LIMIT ADULT
1 FOX’S FURRYFACE JAGER 24a F 6/8/08 very attractive young queen with beautifully balanced head and large wide based ears that follow the lines of the triangle so well. Wonderful deep blue oriental eye colour with that really wicked Siamese expression and almost straight profile, I did just feel that her chin was slightly sharp, almost coming to a point but her bite was level, lovely even toned blue mask that is complete. Graceful neck lines with slender long body of good weight and size with really very short close lying coat that has a degree of tonal shading along her back but at this stage her coat is remarkably clear. Slender legs and neat little oval feet with well matched blue stockings and wonderful long whippy tail to balance, all her points are well matched for colour and she is a very composed young lady very well presented.

AC SIAMESE JUNIOR NEUTER
1 SPENCE’S PR SCOTMAR SIMPLY MAGIC FN 24 14/9/07 lovely friendly girl with real style, beautifully balanced head with large wide based and well set ears, excellent strength of profile with firm chin and clean level bite. She has wonderful deep blue oriental eyes with a wicked expression and a full seal mask which is slightly more inclined to black rather than seal brown. Lovely slender long body of good weight and short close lying coat in excellent condition although quite heavily shaded in tone with her points. Slender legs with neat oval paws and full seal stockings and a very active long whip like tail well matched for colour. She really is a lovely girl for temperament and in excellent condition, my one reservation was the degree of shading to her coat although there is just about enough contrast.
2 RANKIN’S KHERAF REDSENTINEL MN 32a 25/9/08 big red point boy with quite good balance to his long head and large wide at base ears that are nicely set. Straight profile with good chin and level bite, oriental eye shape but quite deep set which made it difficult to properly assess the shade of blue and he was slightly pink rimmed around his eyes possibly through stress as he was not a very happy lad so I did not pursue it further, basically complete red mask. Really long slender yet muscular body with a short close coat showing a degree so tonal shading I just felt his coat was slightly open. Long slender legs with neat oval paws with paler red stocking and a really long whip like tail that matches his long body, well presented.
3 ROTHWELL’S RIVANESS PRINCESS SHADOW 32.8 FN 29/5/07 caramel tabby point dainty young queen with fairly good head and large wide based ears quite clearly showing thumb prints. Oriental eyes set though quite full in shape bright mid blue colour, single ribbons, straight profile with good depth of chin and level bite, M to brow and whisker spots all present. Proportionate length of slender body with quite a lot of tonal shading along her back but there is still good contrast. Slender long legs with good bracelets and neat oval paws and lovely length of whippy tail that has good tabby rings, gentle natured girl nicely presented.

AC SIAMESE SENIOR NEUTER
1 ROTHWELL’S CH & PR SIMPLISIAM STARTARUMOUR 24a FN 3/6/06 stylish blue point girl with lovely balanced head and large wide based ears and beautiful deep blue oriental eyes. Good strength of profile with firm chin and level bite and full blue mask that is perhaps a fraction dark but even toned. Long svelte body and really short close lying coat that is quite shaded but in tone with her points and there is still good contrast. Slender legs and neat oval paws with lovely length of whip like tail to balance, all her points are well matched in the same even tone of blue, excellent temperament and condition.
2 MATHER’S GR PR STATIONARY SCARLET SHADOW 32a MN 7/7/05 mature big red point boy with lovely gentle nature, long head with large wide based ears although I would have liked a little more width across the top line. Almost straight profile with quite good chin and level bite and bright mid blue oriental eyes with full red mask. Really long slender body with close lying coat that is showing minimal shading along the spine line I just felt that his coat was a fraction longer than desired. Slender long legs and neat paws that it was just too much effort to stand on, well matched pale red stockings and lovely long whippy tail to match his body length and matched for colour to his other points, good presentation.
3 PAGE’S GR PR BILLSTES MRBEANJANGLES 32.5 MN 1/5/06 mature red tabby point boy with quite a good head of balance and large ears wide at base and well set. Oriental set bright clear blue eyes though I would have liked a stronger colour, pleasing profile with firm chin and his bite appeared level although he has few canine teeth left now, bright red facial tabby markings, M to brow eye ribbons and whisker spots. Solidly built long svelte body with some pale shading in tone with his points but I felt that his coat was a fraction long and slightly open. Slender long legs with neat oval paws and red leg bracelets and lovely length of whip like tail with clear rings, another very laid back boy well presented.

AC ORIENTAL SELF ADULT
1 BODDY’S EMERPUS BLUEDANUBE 37a F 10/9/08 rather stylish young lady with lovely head and huge flared ears nicely set and brilliant deep green oriental eyes, lovely straight profile good chin and level bite. Slender neck and long slender body line of good weight and condition and a really short close lying coat that is perhaps a fraction darker blue than desired but beautifully sound and in excellent condition and evenly toned. Long slender legs with neat little paws and wonderful length of whippy expressive tail. lovely temperament and presentation.

AC ORIENTAL NON SELF ADULT
1 HOLDSWORTH’S GR CH BILLSTES TIFFANY 37m F
2 GIBSON’S GR CH KHERAF ENDOFTHERAINBOW 37Ef 26/5/06 mature and very sweet natured black tortie queen with nicely balanced head of medium length and large wide based ears with a good flare, straight profile with good chin and level bite and oriental set green eyes. Good neck and slender body lines with short close lying black and red tortie mingled coat in lovely condition. Slender long legs with neat oval paws and good length of whip like tail, well presented, she was just unfortunate to be in so close competition with her neighbour today.

AC ORIENTAL ADULT NOT WON A CC
1 BRASH’S RIVANESS MIZ-BELLE 35 F 25/8/08 pretty young white girl with medium length of head that I feel may still have some length to develop and large wide based ears that are well set. Oriental bright mid blue eyes fractionally full, and straight profile with good chin and level bite. Good length of slender yet well muscled young body and pure white coat a fraction long but lovely condition and texture. Slender legs  with neat oval paws, she could perhaps benefit from a slightly longer tail but beautifully presented in top condition.
2 MICHIE’S FISEPO BLUE SOLEIL 48.40n F 12/7/08 young caramel tortie pointed Bi-colour queen with nice head and large wide based ears that are well set with caramel tortie markings. Oriental set blue eyes and straight profile with caramel apricot and white patched mask and deep chin but sadly she is undershot in her bite at present, such a pity. Slender long body with short magnolia coat with some pale tortie shaded patches and clear white tummy area, coat short and close in lovely condition. Long legs with neat oval paws and breaks of colour and patches of white on all four feet and long whippy caramel and apricot tortie patched tail.

AC ORIENTAL ADULT CC WINNER
1 HARVEY’S FIORDILISO CUBA 29 M 26/8/08 handsome solid young man with really well balanced head and huge wide based ears with excellent flare and good width across the top line. Oriental set bright green eyes and strong profile with good depth of chin and lovely clean bite. Slender long firm and muscular young body and really short close coat rich chestnut brown colour maybe a fraction dark at present but sound to the roots, long legs with neat oval paws and wonderful long whip tail to balance. He was later best oriental adult male in show and well deserved, he just lost out to the girl for best adult on that slight degree of maturity but no doubt his day will soon come.

AC ORIENTAL BREEDERS KITTEN
1 DEBOWSKA’S METEXA MONDADORI 48b M 4/2/09 very stylish young man and well grown for his age, lovely head with huge flared ears with just a hint of white on the tips. Oriental green eyes and strong profile with good chin and bite, his face is almost completely white with the chocolate almost being restricted to Van pattern around his ears. Long firm muscular body and slender neck lines with chocolate saddle area and pure white through his tummy, slender long legs with neat paws having white on all four feet and a really long chocolate whip like tail. My one criticism is that the chocolate is rather dark and bitter which seems to be quite common from the imported lines.
2 SAMPHIER’S EIREACHDAIL AINT MISBEHAVIN 48.38d M 24/2/09 sweet red spotted tabby and white baby boy, lovely head with huge wide based ears that are fractionally low set at present but I feel sure that will improve as his head lengthens. Pale green oriental eyes and almost straight profile, I would have liked a deeper chin although his bite does just meet. Inverted V of white on his face with red tabby over his head and ears. Good length of slender body with red tabby pattern area along his back and pure white tummy area, long slender legs mostly red with white paws and well ringed long whip red tabby tail, nicely presented.

AC NON-BREEDERS KITTEN
1 HARVEY’S FIORDILISO TIGERLILY 38n14/3/09 super little girl with excellent head and huge ears that are beautifully set with thumb prints, oriental bright green eyes and straight profile with good chin and level bite and full facial tabby markings. Good neck lines with two broken necklaces and long slender body, her spine is really well broken for this age and well defined spots on either side possibly a blue based caramel on cool beige ground, the coat is short and close with good penetration of colour within the pattern. Slender legs and dainty little paws with lovely clear leg bars and wonderful length of well ringed stringy tail, a delightful little person and my choice for best kitten.
2 HULL’S BURNWAITES BEDAZZLED 35 MN 22/12/08 quite handsome white boy of lovely size for his age, medium length even wedge head with large wide based flared ears and bright blue oriental eyes, straight profile good chin and level bite. Svelte long body of excellent weight, short close pure white coat soft textured in lovely condition. Slender long legs and he stands quite tall and proud, neat oval paws and lovely length of whippy tail, lovely temperament neatly presented in lovely crisp white blankets.
3 DENHOLM’S FISEPO PIPISTRELLE PEARL 48.40bt F 29/1/09 chocolate tabby Bi-colour boy with moderate even wedge and large wide based ears with thumb prints, oriental set blue eyes and straight profile with mostly white face but chocolate tabby brow markings, reasonable depth of chin and level bite. Long slender body with clear ivory back and white tummy area, the coat is short and close lying in good condition. Slender long legs with mostly white oval paws with some clear tabby leg bracelets, well ringed chocolate tabby whip tail, I did just feel that his chocolate tabby was quite a dark colour and lacked somewhat in warmth.

AC ORIENTAL MAIDEN KITTEN
1 SAMPHIER’S EIREACHDAIL ORINOCO 48.43n M 24/2/09 caramel shaded tabby and white Bi-colour young boy with quite nicely balanced head and large flared ears with faint thumb prints and lovely bright green eyes just a fraction full in shape, straight profile with reasonable depth of chin and level bite, he has a white blaize on his face but mostly patterned. Long slender body with short close coat, his patches of pattern appear to be classic tabby based but what is visible is fairly indistinct so he may well be shaded and he has a couple of patches of pattern on his tummy but they are quite separate from each other. Long legs with bracelets and white on all four oval paws and long whippy tail that appears to have classic tabby tail rings, good natured young man well presented.
2 FYFE’S EIREACHDAIL SLINKY MALINKI 43a M 6/3/09 delightful little baby girl with excellent head and huge wide based flared ears, oriental set bright green eyes and straight profile with good chin and level bite and full facial tabby markings. Good length of slender little body and soft toned blue tabby coat with a well broken spine line and really quite well defined spotted tabby pattern with well matched spots on a cool beige ground and spotted tummy. Slender legs and dainty paws with good leg bracelets and well ringed long stringy tail. At this moment she is quite clearly a spotted tabby not a shaded but maybe her breeding may dictate otherwise in the fullness of time, I decided to give her second place so that she was not the only one in the hall without a ribbon but as things stand she will need to be reregistered, I think the best thing to do is wait a few months and see what happens before making any rash decisions.

AC ORIENTAL JUNIOR NEUTER
1 FYFE’S BETABIL MY FAIRLADY 29c FN 5/8/08 quite pretty lilac girl with overall god balance to her head, large ears that she was inclined to carry slightly tall but the set was reasonable when she relaxed. Bright green eyes that are fractionally full in shape but of oriental set, straight profile with nice depth of chin and level bite. Long slender body with short close lying coat that is fractionally dark but basically sound and I gave her the benefit of the doubt on colour with the hall lighting. Slender long legs with neat oval paws and lovely length of whip like tail to balance, a delight to handle and well presented.
2 WOLLEY’S PR GENTANTIQUE ATHOLDORN 29 MN 12/9/07 mature Havana boy with moderate even wedge head and large ears that he was rather inclined to bonnet. Oriental eyes set but quite full and I would have liked a better colour they rather inclined towards chartreuses, tiny dip in profile good depth of chin and level bite. Long firm muscular body with a really short close coat that is basically sound but quite dark and cold toned. Slender long legs with neat oval feet and whip like tail, although for his length of body he really needs another inch on the length for total balance, good natured boy.
3 RANKIN’S DREAMCATCHER CHEROKEE 38b MN

AC ORIENTAL SENIOR NEUTER
1 COX’S IGR PR KHERAF RED HOTSHOT 37d MN 26/5/06 lovely big red boy who I last met in Glasgow, he’s a real sweetheart to handle, excellent head with huge flared ears that are beautifully set with good width between. Green oriental eyes of good colour for a red and lovely strong profile with firm chin and clean bite. Huge long svelte body with an Oh so short rich red coat in excellent condition, long slender legs with neat oval feet and a wonderful length of whip like tail to balance, lovely presentation and best oriental neuter in show well done.
2 MCKNIGHT’S IGR PR THAIRANO AL SKANDER 35 MN 5/9/02  really mature white boy with strong masculine head and large wide based ears with good flare, straight profile with good chin and level bite and oriental eye set and shape although I would have preferred a slightly deeper blue. Big strong body slightly over weight now his coat is a fraction long but lies well, I do just feel that he would have faired better for a little more time being spent on his preparation he was not quite pristine white. Slender long legs with neat paws that were quite stained and lovely long whip like tail, good natured boy who would have been a lot better for a bit more time being spent on him.
