A lovely show, with lots of top quality cats to handle. My thanks to Di, Mandy and the committee for the invite. Special thanks to my husband, Steve, for stewarding for me again.
AC BI-COLOUR RAGDOLL (INC RED & TABBY) NEUTER MALE:
BOB ASHWORTH’S IMP GR PR RAGALYN BLUELAGOON, 66 31a, MN, 27.04.04. Blue Bi-Colour. A beautiful chap of almost five years old, showing excellent balance and strength. Medium sized ears, set wide apart and with a slightly forward tilt, clear flat plane between them. Broad head, very well developed round cheeks and a good rounded muzzle. Medium shade of blue to large, slightly obliquely set eyes. Very pleasing nasal profile with a gentle dip to the medium length nose. Level bite, firm chin. Very solid muscular feel to the long body, large boning to medium length legs and large round feet. Tail balanced the long body very well, easily reaching the shoulders; it was very well furnished with a bushy texture. Well developed ruff around the neck, silky feel to the dense, medium length coat over the body, full knickerbockers. Medium shade of greyish blue to the ears, mask and tail, all similar in depth and contrasting with the bluish-white body colour. Generally a very well marked bi-colour pattern with a nicely marked inverted ‘v to the face, there is a very slight extension of body colour down the right front leg. Great to handle and groomed to perfection.
PC LYLE’S MIDNIGHTSTAR DREAMSCOMETRU, 66 31, MN, 17.06.08. Seal Bi-Colour. A very well grown young man indeed, wonderful size and substance for just nine months old. Strong broad masculine head with a flat plane between the medium sized ears. The ears were nicely furnished and set wide apart with a slightly forward tilt. Cheeks already well developed and he had very good definition to the rounded muzzle. Large slightly obliquely set eyes, quite a deep shade of blue. Good gentle dip to the medium length nose. Level bite, firm chin. Broad chest leading to a long weighty body, substantial boning to medium length legs, large round paws. Tail just about balanced the body length, reaching the shoulders, though ideally I would have liked it a fraction longer. It was very well furnished and bushy, tapering slightly towards the tip. Full ruff and knickerbockers, good dense medium length coat to the body. Well marked inverted ‘v’ to the face, white to chin, bib, chest and along the length of the underbody. White limbs with a white collar around the neck. Quite a deep shade of seal brown to face, ears and tail, contrasting with the very pale beige body colour. Not too happy today and a little grumbly when out of his pen though we had no problems handling him. Very well groomed.
AOC MAINE COON NEUTER, MALE:
PC NEWMAN’S PR DAIRYMAINE KASABIEN, 64 19, MN, 03.08.06. Red Tabby. A huge male with a long heavy body. Large, beautifully furnished ears, sporting tips and tufts and sitting high on the head. Head of medium length, nice length to breadth ratio, with fairly full cheeks which were set high. For perfection I would like to see a touch more breadth to the head, for better overall balance with the head length and the body size. Pale green eyes, good large size and set well. Nose has a shallow concave nasal curve, very slight nose bump below the nasal bridge. Very well defined square muzzle when viewed from all angles, level bite, firm deep chin. Really long rectangular body, it appears that he enjoys his food and I would not like to see him any heavier. Really large substantial boning, leading to big round feet. Tail was very well furnished and slightly tapering, length reached the shoulders and balanced body length well. Excellent coat with full ruff and breeches, body exhibiting a really glossy topcoat covering the undercoat. Quite a rich shade of red to the classic tabby pattern, which was nicely marked. A really gentle cat who was groomed to absolute perfection and I would like to congratulate his owner on the wonderful show preparation.
2 LAKE’S JEMAHAN TEQUILA BREEZ, 64 43dsw, MN, 31.08.07. Red Silver Shaded & White. A nicely balanced boy all round. Large ears, set just over an ear’s width apart on the head. I was impressed with the strength and overall balance to this exhibit’s head, it had very good length to breadth ratio with well filled cheeks and a shallow concave curve to the nose. Large bright eyes, pale gold in colour and set in a good slight oblique set. Muzzle was square in shape. Unfortunately his bite was undershot. Chin protruded slightly and could have been a little deeper to really balance the rest of the head. Really well developed body, long and rectangular, very well muscled and balanced. Good large solid boning to limbs and large round tufted paws. Very well furnished long tail, easily reaching the shoulders and in balance with the body. Good length to ruff around the neck, coat shorter over the shoulders and increasing in length down the body, well developed breeches. Well marked shaded pattern with a silvery white base tipped with red, showing contrast with the white areas which included underbody and all four feet. Well groomed and lovely to handle.
AOC MAINE COON NEUTER, FEMALE:
BOB RABEY’S SUPERME UK & IMP GR PR DAIRYMAINE SARNIA CHERIE, 64 20e, FN, 27.03.04.
Tortie-Tabby. A stunning female with a beautifully balanced strong head, slightly longer than its breadth and overall medium in length. Very well furnished ears, set high and of lovely large size, giving the impression of a true hunter. Large bright green eyes, set well apart and in a slight oblique setting. Shallow concave curve to the nose. Very well defined square muzzle, firm deep chin. Long weighty body, very well muscled and rectangular in shape. Really heavy boning to limbs, leading to large round tufted paws. Long tail, beautifully furnished and flowing, reaching the shoulders. Gorgeous coat, full ruff, coat shorter over the shoulders and increasing down the back and sides of the body, finishing with full breeches. Lovely glossy topcoat. Very well mingled mixture of red and brown classic tabby with a nicely marked tabby pattern for a tortie. Groomed perfectly. Later went on to become Overall Best in Show, congratulations to her owner and her breeder.
1 BUT PC WITHHELD, BEST & MATTHEWS’ TASSARE WILD GINGER, 64 44ew, FN, 18.04.07. Tortie-Tabby & White. Another really large female with a very strong head of medium length, very good breadth and well filled cheeks. Lovely large tufted ears, set high yet wide apart on the head. Expressive green eyes, set in a good slight oblique setting. Very good nasal profile, showing a shallow concave curve. Lovely square shape to the muzzle. Unfortunately her bite is undershot and this was my main reason for having to withhold the PC today. Firm deep chin. Long body, very weighty and muscular, really substantial bone to limbs and paws. Tail balanced the body length very well, reaching the shoulders and it was beautifully furnished. Really full coat at the moment, with ruff and breeches. The coat pattern is rather diffuse currently and a little lacking in pattern over the body, though the head, limbs and tail were nicely marked. Her mackerel tabby coat pattern should look much better once she moults her older coat and the new coat comes in. Lovely to handle and very well presented.
USUAL SOMALI NEUTER, MALE:
BOB STABLES’ IMP GR PR MERLIESIN CAISEAL BEAG, 63, MN, 26.10.03. Looking lovely today, a very well balanced mature male with a very elegant appearance. Well furnished ears, large in size and set high yet well apart, well cupped and pricked. Gentle contours to the head, which has a moderate wedge, slight indentation forming the muzzle and a nice Somali smile. Almond shaped green eyes, set obliquely and well marked with spectacles and pencil lines. Slight nose break. Level bite, firm chin. Muscular body of medium size and balancing the head size nicely. Long elegant limbs, tufted paws of oval shape. Full brush to the long tail, tapering slightly towards the tip. Medium length coat, ruff evident around the neck, soft dense coat to the body and well grown breeches. Quite a rich tone to the apricot base, very well ticked with black. Well marked heels and darker spine line. Lovely to handle and very well presented.
PC MORRISON’S PR EMANAN DAVEY JONES, 63, MN, 15.07.05. A playful chap with a very alert expression, lovely proportionately large furnished ears which were pricked, cupped and set well apart yet high on the head. Well developed head showing gentle contours with a moderate wedge and a slight indentation forming the muzzle. Green eyes, well marked, good almond shape and set obliquely. Slight nose break with a slight rise to the forehead. Level bite, chin could be a little firmer for perfection. Medium sized body, lovely muscle tone, long elegant limbs and tufted oval paws. Long tail, very well furnished full brush and tapering slightly towards the tip. Medium coat length to the body, lying flat along the spine, soft and dense texture, well developed breeches. Ruff developing length. Cooler apricot agouti colour than my BOB winner, though very well ticked indeed, some grey evident within the base colour though clear at the roots. Slight leg bars present. Very well marked heels. Lovely shine to the coat and a happy lad to handle.
2 POINTING’S TAJURA FURST INLINE, 63, MN, 15.03.07. This man was full of himself, really enjoyed playing with the teaser toy, I bet that he is a joy to live with. Very well placed ears, high set and of good large size, well cupped and pricked. Head shows nice overall shape with gentle contours and a slight indentation forming the muzzle. Overall I felt that his head was a little narrower than the previous two, though he is a younger male and still has maturing and further development to do. Nicely set pale green eyes, enhanced by spectacles and pencil lines. Nose has a slight break with a slight rise to the forehead. Level bite. Chin could be a fraction firmer and deeper. Good length to the medium sized body with long limbs and oval shaped, tufted paws. Very well balanced tail, nicely developed brush. Shorter ruff, medium length coat to the body, lying flat along the spineline. Quite full breeches. Quite a warm shade of apricot to the base colour, well ticked with black, good black heels and facial markings. I look forward to seeing how he matures. Very well presented.
3 PR SUPATOFT ZUKINI PEPRONI, 63, MN, 07.12.01. This boy did look nice but he was not happy today and consequently rather difficult to assess. I managed to get him out but ended up doing most of the assessment when he was back in his pen. He did have a nice alert expression with proportionately large ears which were nicely furnished, cupped and pricked. Spectacles surround the green, almond shaped eyes and they were set obliquely. Slight nose break. Chin quite firm. Medium length body, well muscled. Long elegant limbs. Tail appeared to balance the body and was nicely furnished. I was unable to check his heels or tummy. Fairly rich apricot base colour, nicely ticked with black. He appeared to be a nice boy, though unfortunately I felt that I was unable to assess him enough to be able to place him any higher today. He was very well presented.
AV SLH LIMIT KITTEN:
1 GAY’S JULESCOON WHACKER, 64 41aw, MN, 05.08.08. Blue Silver Tabby & White Maine Coon. An impressive young man, lovely body shape and size. Head already well developed with good large ears and a square muzzle. Profile shows a small bump. Coat already developing well.
2 ROSE’S SNOWCAPE KEYS. 67 31fs, M, 07.09.08. Cream Smoke & White. Lovely triangular shape to head, large well placed ears. Well grown long body and stands well on limbs with back legs longer than the front ones. Long baby coat woolly undercoat already evident. I think that he is a cream tabby & white rather than cream smoke & white. Lovely to handle.
3 FITTEN’S FINEARTE MYSTIC MERLYN, 66 31a, M, 11.07.08. Blue Bi-Colour Ragdoll.
AV SLH BREEDERS NEUTER:
1 STABLES’ IMP GR PR MERLIESIN CAISEAL BEAG, 63, MN, 26.10.03. My Usual Somali BOB winner.
2 WORMAULD’S IMP GR CH DANLEIGH STARBURST, 13c6, FN, 25.04.04. Seal Tortie Point Birman, Really strong broad rounded head to this lovely mature female, well balanced medium sized ears. Long and large structure to the body, well boned medium length limbs, short paws. Balanced bushy tail. Full pale fawn coloured coat showing excellent contrast with the well mingled tortie points. Nicely marked feet. Super condition.
3 WARDLE’S PT LUNABLEU CRÈME BRULEE, 13c1, FN, 15.09.06. Seal Point Birman.
AC MAINE COON NEUTER:
1 RABEY’S SUPERME UK & IMP GR PR DAIRYMAINE SARNIA CHERIE, 64 20e, FN, 27.03.04. Tortie-Tabby Maine Coon. My AOC Maine Coon Neuter winner.
2 BUNCE’S GR PR KEVERSTONE CLEMENTINE, 64 31et, FN, 11.02.0. Tortie Tabby & White Maine Coon. This girl has a very strong yet feminine head, especially for a girl of just two years old. Large ears, set well and nicely furnished. Good square shape to muzzle, well filled cheeks, firm deep chin. Lovely body length and weight, thick solid boning to legs and paws. Long, nicely furnished tail/ Lovely coat qualities all round, for length, texture and colour. A little shy. Beautifully presented.
3 HANCOCK’S PR JULESCOON SMIRNOFF ICE, 64 41as, MN, 02.11.07. Blue Silver Tabby Maine Coon.
PREFIX PAIRS: 23 pairs of cats to evaluate and getting down to the last three was a real challenge as I had so many lovely cats to evaluate. Thank you to all exhibitors who entered this class as there were many more pairs who really deserved a placing.
1 KYNOBI – BLATHERWICK’S KYNOBI LUCUS, 13c2, M, 08.08.08 & HORTON’S KYNOBI TRINITY, 13c2, F, 08.08.09. Birmans. A lovely pair, super type and they look like bookends! I really loved these two babies so much.
2 DANLEIGH – WORLMALD’S DANLEIGH MORJING GLORY, 13c6, F, 21.03.08 & WORMALD’S IMP GR CH DANLEIGH STARBURST, 13c6, FN, 25.04.04. Birmans. Two lovely girls who turned out to be mother and daughter. Both had really strong broad round balanced heads, substantial bodies and well marked feet with good length and texture to coat.
3 FORESTSHADOW – FORESTSHADOW CAJSA, 67 18a, F, 18.04.08 & FORESTSHADOW CHLOE, 67 31ats, F, 18.04.08. These two litter sisters were so similar in many respects. They both had clear triangular head shape, well developed long bodies and balanced tails. Cajsa is currently going though a coat change or they could have been placed higher in this class.
I was delighted to be asked back to judge at this very friendly show, the first running back-to-back with the Somali Cat Club, and I sincerely hope the day was a great success for all concerned, my sincere thanks to Di Taylor, Mandy Symonds and the committee for their hospitality and the very delicious gift! My steward today was Simone Ensor, Kittah Birmans, thank you so much for all your hard work and enthusiasm Simone, we had a super day handling some fabulous exhibits and I shall look forward to repeating our day together.
CLASS 4 AV SLH GRAND PREMIER (IMP GR PR) FEMALE
IMP GPC, RABEY’S SUPREME UK & IMP GR PR DAIRYMAINE SARNIA CHERIE, 64 20e, TORTIE TABBY MAINE COON, 27.03.04
A class act from every aspect! It is impossible not to be massively impressed! One of my favourite Maine Coons on the show bench, such a joy and privilege to judge her again. She oozes quality from every pore, knows she looks simply spectacular and is full of vim and vigour! Wonderfully balanced girl, excellent head proportions, the length to breadth ratio is as near perfection as you can get, she has a lovely profile, pencil straight line from nose leather to her strong chin, excellent muzzle strength and balance. The ear set and size is perfect, well furnished and super tufts. She has vibrant full and round green eyes, set slightly obliquely and has such an alert expression. Wonderful long and muscular body, strong and powerful, with thick set strong limbs and large tufted paws, long flowing tail to balance well. She wears an amazing quality technicolour dreamcoat (apologies Joseph!), of black markings on a super warm copper agouti ground colour that is overlaid with numerous shades of red and which is presented by her devoted owner to absolute perfection, not a hair out of place. My sincere congratulations to both her owner and breeder on her fantastic BIS win later in the day, thoroughly well deserved, and I was delighted to be part of the occasion!
RES IMP GPC, COWARD’S GR PR NORDLYS GAZELLE, 67 15, BLACK NORWEGIAN FOREST, 31.03.05
An extremely impressive female, looking elegant and stylish and of wonderful size and substance. Lovely strength to head that is triangular in shape, slightly rounded forehead, long straight profile, firm chin and level bite. Her well furnished ears are large and well placed, set high on the head and open with the lines of the ears following the triangular shape of the head to the chin. Expressive and alert vivid green eyes that are large and oval in shape, lovely oblique setting. Excellent body strength and weight, her body is long and muscular, she stands on well boned limbs, with her back legs being visibly longer than the front ones, large round tufted paws, long bushy tail easily reaches the shoulders. Her coat quality and texture is second to none, with super clear glossy guard hairs to the top coat that is jet black in colour, woollier undercoat and a ruff around the head, long knickerbockers. Initially a little shy whilst being handled, but soon relaxed and showed herself off to perfection, helped in no small way by her fabulous presentation from her adoring owners.
CLASS 35a AC COLOURPOINTED OR MITTED RAGDOLL (INC RED & TABBY) NEUTER MALE
BOB, STACEY’S IMP GR PR CHEHAM CANTONA, 66, SEAL COLOURPOINTED, 26.2.98
Hard to believe this fabulous lad is eleven years old, like a fine wine he has matured beautifully! A very stylish looking boy, with impeccable showbench manners. Wonderful balance and size, lovely Ragdoll look, his head is broad and rounded, his eye colour is still a strong vibrant blue, nice shape and expression. His coat is silky soft and well presented, very dense and fairly long, quite a dark beige along the back and sides, but still showing good contrast with deep seal points and he wears a full ruff to frame the head magnificently.
1ST, PC WITHHELD, FLETCHER’S HAPPINESS RUDOLPH, 66fw, CREAM MITTED, 27.09.07
A very relaxed boy, seeming to enjoy his day out. Quite good Ragdoll type, nice breadth to top of head, with flat plane between medium sized ears that tilt forwards slightly. Fairly well developed cheeks, he just needs more roundness to the muzzle area for better balance, as he looks slightly narrow at the moment. Large, well opened eyes are slightly obliquely set, deep blue in colour and so expressive. Long and muscular body, medium length legs and large tufted paws, long tail that is slightly tapered to the tip and balanced with the body, could be bushier. His front feet have white mittens, back legs are practically all white, albeit he has a cream spot of colour on the left and the white does not reach the hock completely on the right. He is a very pale cream colour, making it a little difficult to distinguish between the off-white coat colour and some of the white areas, particularly his front mittens, chin, chest and belly. His coat was silky on top and round his ruff, but needed more attention underneath, and his feet could have been cleaner. I was sorry to have to withhold his certificate today, but the combination of his narrow muzzle and lack of definition to the white areas both contributed to my reluctant decision.
CLASS 35b AC COLOURPOINTED OR MITTED RAGDOLL (INC RED & TABBY) NEUTER FEMALE
1ST, PC WITHHELD, MILLER’S ADATELO DESTINY BEAUJALAIS, 66a, BLUE COLOURPOINTED, 4.12.07
A young female, who for some reason today was not at all in the mood to cooperate with being judged, I’m not sure whether she was a little upset by the antics of some of the other exhibits, but she really didn’t give the impression of a relaxed and gentle Ragdoll. She was exceedingly tense whilst being handled, and tended to curl her body into as tight a ball as she could, rather than show herself off. Her head is fairly broad with a flat plane between ears that she insisted on holding quite upright, spoiling her balance somewhat. Her gorgeous deep blue eyes are large and well opened, in fact because she was unhappy, her eyes were staring and bold. Cheeks are fairly well developed and muzzle is gently rounded, she has a super profile, nose is medium in length with a gentle dip and very slightly retrousse at the tip.
Very pleasing body length and weight, well structured with proportionate limbs and good tail length. Her silky soft bluish white coat is a little darker on her back, very pale almost white on her tummy. Such a shame she was so uncooperative today, I was pleased to be assured by her owner after judging that this was most unusual behaviour for her, so let’s hope it was just a one-off ‘bad hair day’!!
CLASS 43a BROWN OR BLUE TABBY (INC BI-COLOUR) MAINE COON NEUTER, MALE
Two fabulous looking boys entered solely for the BOB today, and a tough choice to make between them both. When I saw my catalogue after judging, I realised they are both from the same breeder, and are, I understand, in fact related – no wonder they caused me such a pleasant headache!! After some deliberation, and the assistance of two stewards to present them both to me simultaneously, I plumped for BARLETTA’S IMP GR PR COONTASTIC DON GIOVANNI, an almost five year old brown tabby and white, who was wearing the most sensational full coat (that would do justice to Burberry!), the undercoat being covered by a substantial and flowing glossy top coat, that was beautifully patterned and presented. His whole demeanour and balance just oozed quality and style, as did his ex-stable companion, Imp Gr Pr Coontastic Nijinsky, who was, as always, presented to absolute perfection by his adoring owners, Mr & Mrs Bunce. What a treat to judge two such fine examples of the breed at the same time!
PC, HUNTER’S KATMEA MONTE CARLO, 64 44, BROWN MACKEREL TABBY, 5.03.07
When we arrived at this gentle young man’s double pen, you couldn’t help but notice and appreciate his wonderful size and stature, especially for a boy who hasn’t actually finished growing yet! Very nice head length, medium and slightly less wide though a touch more width across the cheeks as he continues to develop will improve his balanced appearance. Lovely, tall large ears are tufted and well set, full and round slightly obliquely set eyes and super expression. Very nice strength and depth to the muzzle, good chin. Lovely size boy, very strong and muscular with substantial limbs and huge tufted paws, long flowing tail to balance. Well patterned mackerel tabby, well presented glossy top coat, with numerous black lines on top of the warm copper agouti ground colour, running vertically down the body from the central spine line, and defined markings on the head and limbs. Quite a shy boy at times, and he was slightly nervous of his bite being checked and was also salivating rather noticeably, so the duty vet did check his mouth for soreness, and confirmed that he was suffering from very mild gingivitis, possibly caused by the stress of the show environment. Indeed, when I saw him in the afternoon, I was pleased to find he was much more settled and relaxed.
CLASS 43b BROWN OR BLUE TABBY (INC BI-COLOUR) MAINE COON NEUTER, FEMALE
PC, HARDWICK’S RUTTERKIN TUMBLEWEED TESS, 64 41w, BROWN CLASSIC TABBY & WHITE, 27.05.08
A delighful young lady, not long into the adult neuter class but already showing great promise. Very good head shape, with pleasing length to breadth ratio, high cheek bones and cheeks fairly full. Uniform width to nose with shallow concave curve to the profile, pencil straight line from nose leather to chin that could be a fraction stronger for better balance, square muzzle. Wonderful ears for size and set, with super long tufts at the tips. Full, round eyes are slightly palish green and two tone in colour, set obliquely, alert expression. Nicely grown female, very good body length and weight, solid feel to body and limbs, large tufted paws and a long tail to balance. Well presented, with attractive white markings on her head, white legs and a well patterned brown tabby coat that was glossy on top, just needing a touch more undercoat for perfection. Friendly girl, inquisitive and playful
CLASS 63 AV SLH ADULT
1ST, PEARSON’S JASIMSAF CLARET, 13c2, BLUE POINT BIRMAN MALE, 12.5.08
A young lad, who for his age already looks so well balanced and is of excellent Birman type. Lovely deep blue expressive eyes. Well grown boy, solid and muscular frame, with proportionate limbs and bushy tail. Sparkling white feet, I deliberated for some time about whether he has a small detached area of white hairs on his back left leg close to the gauntlet, but given the hall lighting was not particularly conducive to such close examination, I gave him the benefit of the doubt that they are in fact just joined to the gauntlet at the roots. Fabulous nature, he didn’t mind the extra attention at all!
2ND, WATTS’ CH LENNALI BARRINGTON BAGGINS, 63, USUAL SOMALI MALE, 5.3.07
An extremely friendly boy, purring his head off and certainly alert and smiling. Good head shape, moderate wedge with gentle curving contours to the cheeks and brow, firm chin and level bite. His profile has a very slight nose break. Ears are set wide apart, with breadth at the base, well cupped to give the desired crescent shape when viewed from behind. Large, almond shaped eyes accentuated by a dark surround and framed by lighter spectacle markings. Well grown lad, muscular medium sized body with long legs, oval tufted feet and a long well furnished tail to balance. His coat is quite dense, though felt slightly harsh and a little greasy in places. The colours are fairly rich golden brown hue made up of the apricot base coat ticked with black, albeit the colour is slightly pale grey towards the roots where new coat is growing through.
3RD, TURNER’S CAROLEMAINE MONTANA MOON, 64 41ew, TORTIE CLASSIC TABBY & WHITE MAINE COON FEMALE, 14.11.07
CLASS 75a AV SLH VISITORS ADULT, MALE
1ST, SHAW’S CH MOONENCIA RED ZEPPELIN, 64 41dw, RED CLASSIC TABBY & WHITE MAINE COON, 17.9.07
Handsome lad who I have judged before. Very good head contours, nicely set large and tall tufted ears, strong square muzzle and deep firm chin. His eyes are slightly obliquely set, full and round with an alert expression. Very slight bump to the nose when viewed in profile. Very well grown young man, long and muscular tones to the body and limbs, large round tufted white paws, flowing tail to balance well. Well presented, pale red tabby top coat is glossy and patterning is well defined, clean white chin, bib, chest and belly. Relaxed and easy to handle.
2ND, PEARSON’S JASIMSAF CLARET, SEE CLASS 63
3RD, ARKLE’S KIWIMAGIC STOLEN SYNMPHONY, 66ct, LILAC TABBY COLOURPOINTED RAGDOLL, 10.04.07
CLASS 75b AV SLH VISITORS ADULT, FEMALE
1ST, WATTS’ IMP GR CH BRIZLINCOAT TOOMAI, 63, USUAL SOMALI, 4.9.03
A stunning looking girl, the epitome of the breed and when standing on our trolley looked so beautifully balanced. Her head forms a moderate wedge shape, with high forehead and good width between the ears that are set wide and well cupped and tufted. Slight nose break in profile, firm chin and rounded muzzle giving the desired smiling impression. Lovely large almond shaped eyes are vibrant green and surrounded by lighter spectacle markings, well set. Wonderful firm and lithe feel to her medium sized body, proportionate limbs and long furnished tail to balance. I really admired this girl’s fabulous coat qualities and colours, the base coat is apricot and ticked with black, the bands are so clear and the coat is soft and fine, slightly shorter over the shoulders. Her toe tufts and heels, ear tips and facial markings are black. A friendly charismatic girl, proudly showing herself off to maximum advantage!
2ND, ACQUAVIA’S PRIDNJOY SCHEHERAZADE, 13c1, SEAL POINT BIRMAN, 28.4.04
What a very pretty girl, with the most glorious of Birman expressions. Lovely type and deep blue eye colour. Well placed medium sized ears, full cheeks tapering gently to firm chin, level bite. Excellent body size and weight, well proportioned and well balanced, bushy medium length tail. Stunning coat quality, thick and beautifully presented, palest beige in colour and contrasting exquisitely with deep seal points colour, sparkling white gloves and gauntlets.
3RD, MANSELL’S FORESTSHADOW CHLOE, 67 31ats, BLUE SILVER TABBY & WHITE NORWEGIAN FOREST, 18.04.08
CLASS 98a AC MAINE COON KITTEN MALE
1ST, GAY’S JULESCOON WHACKER, 64 41aw, BLUE CLASSIC TABBY & WHITE, 5.8.08
A promising looking young lad, already displaying excellent head contours, being slightly longer than it is broad, lovely ears for placement and size, well tufted. Alert and expressive pale greenish large and well opened eyes. Lovely body size and weight, well proportioned with a long flowing tail to balance and very well grown, I expect he will become a powerful and impressive lad if the size of his limbs and paws is anything to go by! His classic tabby coat patterning is still a little diffused, quite solid blue on the back, more definition around the head and shoulders and front legs. Quite well presented, though by the time we reached him this afternoon, there was a slight knot developing between his front legs. Wonderful nature.
2ND, BEST & MATTHEWS TASSARE SPIKE MILLICOON, 64 41ds, RED SILVER CLASSIC TABBY, 19.07.08
Another well grown young man, with pleasing Maine Coon look and size. Head is medium in length and slightly less wide, good ears for size and set. Full, round pale amber eyes are slightly obliquely set. Uniform width to nose, abeit his profile is spoiled a little by a pronounced nose bump, square muzzle and fairly strong chin, his bite is a little untidy as he is possibly still teething. Excellent patterning to the classic tabby coat, with shades of red overlaying the bright apricot ground colour, more silvery undertones around the neck and flanks than on the back.
3RD, TURNER’S CAROLEMAINE GENERAL LEE, 64 41dw, RED CLASSIC TABBY & WHITE, 18.11.08
CLASS 98b AC MAINE COON KITTEN FEMALE
1ST, IRWING’S LEAHSBLUES TIARAA, 64 44sw, SILVER MACKEREL TABBY & WHITE, 22.6.08
Very attractive girl, with an excellent strong head shape, particularly for a female. High cheek bones and full cheeks, uniform width to nose with shallow concave curve to the profile, her chin is strong and her muzzle already shows good strength and is both square and deep. Super tall and large ears are set apart and wide at the base, well tufted. Full and round green eyes are set slightly obliquely. Well proportioned female, her flowing tail balances beautifully with the body length, substantial limbs. Still wearing a fairly soft kitten coat, I would like to see the mackerel pattern a little more defined over the back for perfection. A lovely nature for the showbench.
2ND, CARDEN’S SHEERCLASS MOONSHINEMISSY, 64 41w, BROWN CLASSIC TABBY & WHITE, 12.09.08
How lovely to meet this young lady again, she really is developing extremely well, and has a very pleasing Maine Coon look about her, excellent head shape and lovely ears for size and set, shallow concave curve to the profile and strong square muzzle. Full, round eyes are set obliquely, vibrant green in colour. Well grown and well proportioned, long body standing on substantial limbs, flowing tail to balance. Her coat patterning is straight from the text book, such clarity of pattern and beautifully presented. Very promising for the future, I believe!
3RD, JOINER’S JEMAHAN TINKERBELLS MAGIC, 64 41e, TORTIE CLASSIC TABBY, 23.11.08
CLASS 106 AV SLH NEUTER NOT BRED BY EXHIBITOR
What a fantastic class this was! Fourteen entered and all present, just full of quality, and hard to separate so I was pleased to be able to award some extra places.
1ST, RABEY’S SUPREME UK & IMP GR PR DAIRYMAINE SARNIA CHERIE, SEE CLASS 4
2ND, WILLIAMS’ GR PR KRYSTALTOZE YIN YANG, 13c2, BLUE POINT BIRMAN MALE, 31.8.02
How nice to see this handsome fellow again, still looking extremely impressive. Excellent Birman type and expressive deep blue almost round eyes, full cheeks and medium sized ears to balance. Well grown and solid structure with long and muscular body, thick set legs and round white paws. His feet markings are sparkling, colour just dips slightly between two toes on the left front foot, gauntlets are full and tapered. Expertly presented pale bluish white coat contrasts softly with his mid blue points colour. A gentle boy, lovely to handle.
EXTRA 2ND, HANCOCK’S PR JULESCOON SMIRNOFF ICE, 64 41as, BLUE SILVER CLASSIC TABBY MAINE COON MALE, 2.11.07
Very handsome boy, with such a relaxed nature to boot! Lovely head shape, and his ears are the perfect size and set, long tufts at the tips. Expressive full and round eys. Strong square muzzle and full cheeks, uniform width to nose with shallow concave curve to the profile. Excellent body size and structure, substantial strong limbs and large tufted round paws, long and flowing tail to balance well. Super coat qualities, the undercoat is covered by a more substantial glossy top coat, with the blue markings on a pale silver base with mushroomy beige intermingled, just showing very slight tarnishing around the head and tail.
EXTRA 2ND, BUNCE’S GR PR KEVERSTONE CLEMENTINE, 64 31et, TORTIE TABBY & WHITE MAINE COON FEMALE, 11.2.07
A most attractive female, who I have had the pleasure of judging before. She always looks so well balanced and proportioned, with a super head shape, lovely ears for size and set, strong square muzzle and expressive full and round green eyes. She has a strong and muscular feel to the body and she wears the most glorious of coats, a true kaleidoscope of colours, with black markings on the copper agouti ground colour that is overlaid with numerous shades of red. A little shy today, preferring the security of her pen to the great wide world of my trolley, but still her quality shines through.

2ND, HAWES’ IMP GR CH GLENPETER CONCERTO, 13c2, BLUE POINT BIRMAN FEMALE, 28.8.01
One of the most attractive blue females on the showbench at the moment, looking so very stylish and with a gorgeous gentle and feminine expression. Wonderful Birman type and deep blue almost round eyes. Well grown and well proportioned. Sparkling chalk white feet, her gloves are even, gauntlets matching length and tapered. Expertly presented, her soft and silky coat is bluish white and clear, contrasting well with her blue grey points colour and she was wearing a full ruff to frame her head magnificently. Wonderful temperament.
EXTRA 2ND, JONES’ GR PR MERLIESIN ROSHANA, 63bt, CHOCOLATE TORTIE SOMALI FEMALE, 3.3.02
An attractive girl, who was clearly in a playful and energetic mood, particularly with her water bowl that she had somehow contrived to tip onto her back, I imagine her Mum was none too pleased with her efforts to spoil the careful show preparation! Nice head shape, good wedge shape with gentle curving contours, high forehead with width between the ears that are broad at the base, cupped and tufted and she has a slight nose break in profile. Alert and expressive large, almond shaped green eyes, accentuated by the darker eyeliner markings. She has a firm chin and gentle rounded muzzle to enhance her smiling appearance, bite looks level, albeit she seems to have lost most of her front teeth now! Well grown and well proportioned female, looking elegant and balanced. Her coat had been well presented, not withstanding the unavoidable water bowl incident, and is soft and fine with a rich mixture of warm chestnut brown, with dark chocolate and red ticking, heels are more chocolatey than red.

AV SLH GRAND PREMIER, MALE – WOW! What a magnificent line up of handsome cats, I could have awarded at least FIVE Imperial Certificates and felt sorry some stunning cats were left cardless.
1 IGP BARLETTA’S IMP GR PR COONTASTIC DON GIOVANNI, 64 31T, MN, 23.5.2004
A handsome, mature Maine Coon with such style and presence; he was an excellent size with substantial boning, rectangular in the body and had an excellent flowing coat. He really looked the part! Excellent head of medium length with a broad, square muzzle and excellent depth of chin. The cheeks were fairly full with high cheek bones. The nose was of uniform width with a shallow concave curve at the bridge. Excellent ears for size and set; they were large, tall and set high though well apart. They were broad at the base and appeared pointed at the tips with tufts and furnishings. Wonderful eyes that were full, round and spaced well apart. The setting was slightly oblique. Excellent expression. Moderately long neck that was thick and muscular. Large body that was solid and muscular with breadth to the chest. Long legs of excellent substance with large, round, tufted paws. Long tail that was wide at the base and tapered. Excellent coat texture and quality, it had an undercoat covered by a glossy top coat. Excellent warm brown tabby with clearly defined classic markings. Presented to perfection, he was confident, proud and very much a “star”.
RES: STACEY’S IMP GR PR CHEHAM CANTONA, 66, MN, 26.2.1998
Another handsome, mature cat with presence who really was large, powerful and imposing. Excellent broad head with a flat plane and width between the medium ears which were set wide with a slight forward tilt. They were well furnished. His cheeks were well developed and he had an excellent muzzle that was rounded. Firm chin and level bite. Large eyes that were an excellent blue, well opened and set well apart in a slightly oblique setting. Medium length nose with a gentle dip and the desired retroussé tip. Long body with excellent muscle tone and substance. Broad chest. Medium length legs that were strong with large, round, tufted paws. Long tail that was bushy and tapered slightly. Silky coat that was of medium length and dense. Ruff and knickerbockers gave him the “finish”. Deep seal brown points that matched. The body was shady but there was contrast. Presented in excellent condition and he has a wonderful temperament with all the charm and charisma of his namesake – a great favourite of mine (the cat and Eric!).
BLUE POINT BIRMAN ADULT, MALE
I considered two males for the BOB award; I felt exhibit 5 had rather deep set eyes and a slight bump on the profile; Exhibit 6 also had deep set eyes, the profile lacked the required slight dip and the chin sloped away.
2 (1 + CC W/H) PEARSON’S JASIMAF CLARET, 13C2, M, 12.5.2008
Young male of lovely type and expression who was presented beautifully. Well grown, he was of excellent size and substance for his age. The head had breadth with rounded contours. Medium sized ears were spaced well apart. The nose was of medium length with a slight dip to the profile. Full, round cheeks. The muzzle was well developed and the chin full. Excellent eyes that were large and almost round but with a soft, gentle expression. Excellent tone of blue. The body was a good length with a solid, muscular feel. Medium length, thick-set legs and strong paws. Bushy tail of medium length that balanced well. The coat was a good length and silky in texture with a pleasing ruff around the neck. The stomach fur was curled. The points were a soft blue with excellent contrast to the bluish white body. The gloves and gauntlets were snowy and neat. I was devastated to find a small, separate spot of white beyond the left gauntlet and, for that reason, had to withhold the first prize. I was so sorry as he is a handsome cat.
BLUE POINT BIRMAN ADULT, FEMALE

Very pretty Birman female of excellent type. The head had breadth and balance with rounded contours. Medium ears set well apart. Medium nose with slight dip to the profile. Full cheeks and well developed muzzle. Reasonably firm chin. Beautiful eyes that were large, almost round and spaced well apart. Excellent blue and a sweet, soft, gentle expression that is so special to the breed.
Very good body, legs and tail; she had firm muscle tone and very good boning. The coat was silky, with a pleasing ruff to frame the face. Points matched and though there was some shading to the body, there was also clear contrast. Neat gloves and gauntlets. Beautifully presented in sparkling condition and with a delightful temperament. Very well worthy of the BOB award.
RED, CREAM & TORTIE POINT BIRMAN NEUTER

NORWEGIAN FOREST ADULT
A challenging class of seven pleasing adults with two more to consider for the BOB !!!!
BOB HERMON’S CH ADFURLO AISLING, 67 31T, F, 6.4.2004
A mature female of excellent type who was the “finished” article. Lovely type, eyes and expression. Excellent coat texture and quality.
1 CC MANSELL’S FORESTSHADOW CAJSA, 67 18A, F, 18.4.2008
A young female with great potential in my opinion. Lovely size and substance but still elegant and stylish. Triangular head with a long, straight profile and very good depth to the chin which finished the “wedge”. Beautiful eyes that were so expressive, they were large, well opened and slightly oblique but set well apart. Excellent ears that were set high but open with very good width at the base and set high to continue the lines of the head. Excellent tufts and furnishings. Very good body with promising boning. Long legs with the hind legs slightly longer giving her excellent stance. Tufted toes! Long, bushy tail to balance. Coat developing well, the undercoat is woolly in texture and the glossy top coat is coming well. Beautifully shown in excellent condition. She was confident with a haughty expression and was well aware of her beauty.
2 FISHLOCK-LOMAX’S ADATELO PENNYPARFAIRDAMOUR, 67 31GT, F, 15.4.2008
A very attractive and balanced female of very good type and style. Balanced triangular head with a good profile and chin. Large, well set ears that were well furnished. Expressive eyes with good shape and setting. Muscular body with very good legs and tail. She has the woolly undercoat but that glossy top coat needs to develop more to give her coat the correct texture. Excellent condition and temperament.
3 JEACOCK’S WEESAMS PANDORA, 67 31, F, 6.3.2008
This female had a lovely triangular head and profile. Her white chevron really emphasised the shape. Long, straight profile and good chin. Very expressive eyes that were set well. Well set ears that continued the lines of the head. Very good body, legs and tail. She had a solid, muscular feel and good boning but still had elegance. The coat was really glossy, but needed more of a woolly undercoat as it was a little flat, particularly on the back and sides. Excellent condition and temperament.
In my opinion exhibit 39 was a tortie silver tabby and not a tortie smoke (I know there are no points for colour but thought it useful to mention.
AC BI-COLOUR RAGDOLL, FEMALE
BOB FITTEN’S CH FINEARTE ZEPHYR ROSE. 66 31A, F, 17.8.2006
A mature and balanced Blue Bi-Colour of pleasing type and very good pattern. Excellent condition and temperament.
1 CC WESTWOOD’S GROOVICATS ARYAN MIST, 66 31, F, 16.3.2008
An attractive young female of very good type, balance and expression. She had a broad head that was well developed for her age with a flat plane between the medium ears. They were set wide and showed a slight forward tilt. Cheeks developing nicely and a good, rounded muzzle. Very good profile with a gentle dip and a retroussé tip to the nose. Excellent eyes that were large, a very good blue and very expressive. Long body with excellent muscle tone and a broad chest. Medium legs with strong boning and large, round, firm paws. The tail was a good length and bushy. Well marked with a balanced inverted “v” that covered the nose, whisker pads and chin. The bib, chest and underparts were white. Warm seal points and showing good contrast. Excellent coat quality and shown in excellent condition with a super temperament too.
2 MATTHEWS GALLDORA SEET EMOTION, 66 31AT, F, 15.3.2008
A young female who has some more developing to do but with good type and balance overall. Medium ears were set wide with a slight forward tilt. Large, expressive eyes of a good blue. At present the top of the head is slightly rounded. Excellent muscle and promising boning. Good legs and tail. Lovely coat texture and she was very well presented. A good pattern with attractive blue tabby points and the white immaculate and balanced. Excellent condition and temperament.
3 ADAMS RAGADEE TIRAMISU, 66 31, F, 20.4.2008
A young female who was still looking a little “kittenish” and needing more time to develop. Nevertheless, she has good type and expression with a correct profile. She was a good weight for her size and was well muscled. Warm seal points and immaculate white markings. Excellent condition and temperament.
AC SILVER SOMALI NEUTER, FEMALE
I considered exhibit 181 for the BOB but felt she did not have such a smile and sweet expression as my winner, who was her daughter!
1 PR + BOB HACK’S ADSETSH BARWICK BLUE, 63CS, FN, 11.6.2007
An extremely pretty female of excellent type with a lovely smile and sweet expression. Moderate wedge with gently curving contours. Large ears, well cupped and furnished, set well apart on the head but not low. High forehead and very good profile showing a slight break. Rounded muzzle and good chin. Elegant neck. Large eyes of almond shape that were set obliquely and well apart. Lithe muscular body with a level back. Long legs and oval, tufted paws. The tail was a very good length to balance and formed a full brush. Particularly good coat texture, it was very soft and fine and although dense, it lay flat along the spine. Attractive ruff and breeches. Very good blue silver that was clean and showing well defined ticking. Well marked and good heels for a silver. Excellent condition and temperament/
2 STABLES’S GR CH & PR AMORES OPHELIA FIZKIN, 63S, FN, 14.2.2003
Another very attractive female with excellent type, balance and style. She had a very good head and smiling expression. Elegant neck and a firm, lithe body with long legs and a good tail to balance. Very good coat texture, it was soft and fine though not as dense as the winner’s. Excellent clean silvery base and clearly defined black ticking. Virtually free of tarnish, which is both special and very pleasing. Lovely black heels. Excellent condition and temperament.
I was delighted to award Best Ragdoll to STACEY’S IMP GR PR CHEHAM CANTONA, 66, MN, 26.2.1998 – He really is a very special cat.
The change of date but not venue seems to have been well worthwhile. Despite the earliness of the season, the weather smiled on the day, and Stratford-upon-Avon was packed just like mid summer. A good augury for the future! I was fortunate indeed to have Anne Ashworth as my steward, and met 'Edward’ at the end of the day. He is a beautiful Ragdoll boy, and obviously much loved. Thank you to her and Brian, who kindly marked up my catalogue. Thank you to the new show management for the invitation, though it was a pleasure to see Shirley Tallboys on the table, still working for the club after many years, and building up the Association that is just for the Semi Long Hair section.
AC. BIRMAN PREMIER (GR PR) MALE
1. & GR PR Williams' (GR PR KRYSTALTOzE YIN YANG 31.8.2002
Blue Point. I have to say it - he is STOUT! but didn't look overweight, just reassuringly large and healthy, lovely full broad head, wide top, very good medium size ears with thick feathers, full cheeks, cute profile dip with blue nose leather, clean bite, firm chin. Deep blue eyes below a slightly heavy brow. Excellent body and boning, specially broad legs — he needs them! Full bushy tail just long enough for balance, and sound points match all round. Beautiful coat, long, silky, very fluffy, glacial bluish white, and beautifully groomed too. Level gloves a bit wavy at the back, long socks and gauntlets. A worthy representative of a senior Birman.
2.& RESERVE GR PR Kemp's SHANDATAL IMABLUE, TIGER 29.3.2001
Blue Tabby Point. I have to say it again - he is STOUT too! Another lovely senior man. Broad head, wide top, excellent medium ears with pearly edges, profile dip with curvy medium length nose and big pink nose leather outlined in blue. Very neat straight bite, chin could be just a fraction more firm. Beautiful nearly round blue eyes, and full tabby mask – ‘M’ spectacles, spotted whisker pads, the lot. Excellent boning, especially the legs, and medium length full tail with hint of rings. Profuse silky coat, light uneven shading over back, as allowed, faint leg bars. Level gloves, matching socks and gauntlet length.
Seymour's GR PR FANCYPAWS MR BOJANGLES 24.10.2005
Seal Point. He was not a happy pussy on the day but it was a difficult decision between three very nice cats.
CHOCOLATE, AND LILAC POINT BIRMAN ADULT MALE
1. Portsmouth's CONCORBA MUSCAR THEO 13.6.2008
Chocolate Point. I was sorry to withhold the CC award, but after careful consideration I felt that Theo is still just a big kitten, and a late developer, immature at the moment, but nothing wrong that time won't put right. Balanced head, with big ears to grow into, a good sign for future size, profile dip a little shallow, cheeks filling out but not comfortably round yet. Level bite, fairly good chin depth. Wonderful eyes, nearly round and the most beautiful sapphire blue. Lively body, good length and weight for his age but adolescent in style. Good length of tail, hut very pale milk chocolate in shade, along with the legs, typical for a young chocolate point, which made it very difficult as well to assess the foot markings. Mask incomplete as well. Very clear thick soft ivory coat. Very good show presentation. And loveable temperament. His day will come in the near future.
CHOCOLATE AND LILAC POINT ADULT FEMALE 1CC&BOB Delaney's DeENLAY MISSDIOR 30.3.2008
Lilac Point. I'm a good girl! She was almost saying, and very placid temperament too. Feminine but broad head, with wideset excellent medium size pinkish lilac ears, very good sound points colour, matching mask and legs. Neat profile dip perfect tiny teeth bite, and fairly good depth of chin. Wonderful clear shining nearly round blue eyes, a feature that both exhibits shared. Excellent body length and development, obviously well fed! Full medium length tail, colour still developing. Super coat for texture and colour, thick, silky, and off-white magnolia. Low gloves, medium length socks and gauntlets. What a suitable name too, for a very promising young lady.
AC COLOURPOINTED OR MITTED RAGDOLL (inc Red & Tabby) KITTEN MALE 1.&BOB Gledstone's ADATELOJOSEPH 13.8.2008
Seat Colourpointed He was a little bit nervous, but had the best contrasts that I have ever seen in a Ragdoll, particularly a kitten. Broad head with flat plane between medium ears, little tilt forward, good feathers. Medium length snub nose, gentle dip. Full bite, cheeks and muzzle developing well, firm chin. Large round eyes in slight oblique set very good deep blue. Excellent body for length and substantial bone, he is definitely plump, and long bushy tail, tapering to tip just a little paler than the points colour. Dense silky coat, fairly short as yet, hut very pale beige shading to lighter altogether down the sides and under belly. Warm deep seal points and matching diamond shape mask. Good grooming. He was just a little nervous, but a very promising little man.
2. Jones’ & Gully's SNUGGLESOFT BLUE MOSELLE 9.11.2008
Mitted Blue Tabby Point, The youngest in the class but very nice all round, and lovely temperament too.
Broad head, with medium size ears rounded at tip, tilted forward, and the pearly edges of a tabby. Cute profile
with gentle dip, cheeks and muzzle broadening out. 'rounding out' well, very tiny teeth, level bite and fairly good
depth of white chin. Large eyes still a little on the round side, but he is young, and sound blue. Good size for his age, and
balanced long tail, fairly full, with hint of rings on the underside solid tip. Very soft dense silky coat, even bluish white
all over and faint blue tabby leg bars on beige agouti background. Very good level mitts and long boots to the hock.
Another very promising young man.
3. Dunstall’s ELNESSE HERUBRAND 15.8.2008
Blue Colourpointed. Very well grown for his age. with excellent long body and sturdy legs, and balanced long tail. Broad head with flat plane between the ears, cheeks developing and rounded broad muzzle. Medium size ears tilted forward, good feathers. Quite good medium length nose with gentle profile dip. Full bite, a little undershot. Chin of fairly good depth recedes a little viewed in profile. Good blue eyes in slight oblique set. Soft dense bluish white coat with light shoulder shading and silvery blue points colour, matching face mask and tail. Very nice ruff developing. What a pity that he was let down by grooming underneath, 1 loved the 'Naptime' in his pedigree.
AC COLOURPOINTED OR MITTED RAGDOLL (inc Red & Tabby) KITTEN FEMALE
1. Powell & Wells' CHEHAM MKRRI MAID 27.10.2008
Seal Colourpointed. A cute girly. Although her head, which is of good width across the top tapers in down the cheeks, giving a faintly triangular effect, it is basically balanced proportions. Good medium size ears, tilted forward, feathered, rounded at the tip. Medium length nose with fairly good gentle profile dip, tiny teeth and firm chin. Body feminine but long, sound and lively and long tail to balance. Dense, silky coat, very pale beige shading paler under the belly. Light shoulder shading, and one tiny spot underneath too. Good warm seal points and mask, hint of tabby under tail still, due to her age. Very good contrasts overall, well groomed, and very promising.
2. Westwood's FARISLE GEORGIANA 26.6.2008
Seal Tabby Point. Very definitely 'Tabby' despite her youth. Good head type, broad, cheeks filling out to rounded muzzle, chin recedes a little, and bite a little undershot. Quite good gentle profile dip. and medium length nose. Beautiful large cornflower blue eyes in slight oblique set. Nearly adult in age, and good long body, firm and muscular, with balanced long tail tapering to tip with proper rings. Long coat, faint shading over back showing as an even patch, strong seal at back of back legs. Defined tabby mask - spectacles, spotted whisker pads, good 'M' and clear leg bars as well with seal brown points on pale agouti background. I am afraid that she was let down by very poor grooming.
3. Evans’ LUVUMCATS SUMMER BREEZE 19.9.2008
Blue Tabby Point Mitted. A very lively pretty girl, and she was purring too. Broad head with flat plane, very good wideset medium size ears, rounded at tip, and 'plain' blue, particularly good set. Quite neat medium length nose with gentle dip. full cheeks and fairly good width of muzzle and depth of chin. Level bite. Large quite deep blue eyes in slight oblique set. Good length of body for her age, and long bushy tail tapering a little to tip, definitely her best feature. Tabby mask and legs not very obvious as yet as the cheeks were plain blue and only the 'M' was really clear. Nice level mitts and good length of boots, which fade into the pale tabby back legs. Dense silky coat and good grooming.
This was a good class of six females.
SORREL SOMALI NEUTER MALE
1 PC & BOB Lunt's SOMANTIKKS TOSHIAKI BLAZE 2.12.2007
My first impression was that his colour was a little pale, but actually his coat colour was rather bleached out by the hall lighting. However the correct colours of cinnamon over apricot base coat were discernable. Moderate wedge head, with really good wideset ears, proportionately large and pricked, with long feathers. Very slight nose break, good width across cheeks, but muzzle tapers a very little. Firm chin. Large almond shape eyes, deep amber in shade, with spectacles and pencillings, and quite expressive, he looked a bit disapproving as if to say Tm not very pleased today'. Firm lithe body, and balanced long tail, full and tapering a little to cinnamon tip, with cinnamon spine line. Soft dense coat which felt just a little greasy to the touch, except from around his head and ruff. Good cinnamon ticking, and rich apricot under the chest and belly and breeches. Neat feet and paw pads, and heels. cinnamon all round.

1. Adams' & Thompson's RAGADEE TIA MARIA 28.4.2008
Seal Colourpointed Ragdoll Female. Very good colour contrasts. Although she had two tummy spots, the main coat was clear pale beige, with lovely warm deep seal points, and very dark blue eyes, a stunning combination. Only just adult, but good length compact and firm body, with balanced long full tail, tapering a little to tip and lighter sea in shade. Good head, broad with flat plane, full across the cheeks, and well developed rounded muzzle, fairly good chin depth. Dense shortish coat, she will not moult until the summer, but very nice soft texture.
2. Seville's ISHCUS MELISA 1.3.2008

Large and long body, exceptionally nice tail, long, full, flowing, and showing shades of black and red, though main coat rather lackcd red at the moment. Glossy top coat, classic pattern obvious, heavily striped front legs, and neat white feet. Lively expression and behaviour.
