Amendments to the GCCF Rules were - CARRIED
- APPLICATIONS FOR BREED PROMOTION
a) AOC Tabby Persian
Application for promotion to Championship status for
i) Blue Tabby (8a), Chocolate Tabby (8b) and Lilac Tabby (8c) Persians
to be shown in the same class as Brown Tabby Persian (8), and
ii) Cream Tabby (8f), Tortie Tabby (8e), Blue Tortie Tabby (8g), Chocolate
Tortie Tabby (8h) and Lilac Tortie Tabby (8j) to be shown in one class
with Red Tabby Persian (9).
No change to SOP or registration policy. - CARRIED
b) British Shorthair Group Committee - application for promotion
to Championship status for Golden Tipped British Shorthair (75); no
change to SOP or registration policy. - CARRIED
c) Bengal BAC - application for promotion to Championship
status for the Brown (Black) Spotted Bengal (76 30); amended registration
policy and SOP. - CARRIED
- APPLICATIONS FOR BREED RECOGNITION
The Executive Committee recommend the following with effect from
1 June 2006:
a) Tabby Persian - application for the recognition of Mackerel
Tabby Persians (7, 7a-j, 8, 8a-c, 8e-j and 9) and Spotted Tabby Persians
(7 30, 7a-j 30, 8 30, 8a-c 30, 8e-j 30 and 9 30) to be included in
current Open classes for Tabby Persians; no amendment to registration
policy; additions to Standard of Points
for Tabby Persians: - CARRIED
b) Sphynx - to determine whether in principle Council would
wish Executive Committee to consider an application, properly submitted
in compliance with Section 1, Rule 42, for the Preliminary recognition
of Sphynx cats, should one be received. A paper ballot will be taken.

Mrs R Ridyard has retired as a GCCF Judge.
Mr G Gow: The Birman BAC will not be seeking a further extension
of probationary period and Mr Gow will cease to be a judge of Birman
cats when his current confirmed engagements have been completed.
Mrs M Riley: The Tortie, Tortie & White and Bicolour BAC will
not be seeking an extension of probationary period and Mrs Riley will
cease to be a judge of the BAC's breeds when her current confirmed
engagements have been completed.
