The Governing Council of the Cat Fancy |
GCCF Cat Shows June 2008 to May 2009Cat Shows are usually held on Saturdays and are normally open to the public from mid-day, after the main judging has finished, until 5 pm. The size of show varies from about 60 cats at a small Breed Show to over 1500 cats at the GCCF Supreme Show. Most shows are "Championship" Shows, where GCCF registered cats can compete to win open classes and be awarded GCCF certificates and become Champions, Grand Champions and Imperial Grand Champions. Before a Cat Club can run a Championship Show they must first run several "Exemption" (E) and "Sanction" (S) Shows where they can demonstrate their ability to stage a GCCF Championship Show.
