Firstly, we would like to thank everyone who took part in the Best Decorated Pen competition at the Supreme Cat Show 2026. We know how much time, effort and creativity goes into decorating your pens, and we truly appreciate the enthusiasm shown.
Following the show, we carried out a detailed review of the judging process after concerns were raised regarding the results. It has taken us a while to fully investigate and understand what occurred, and we wanted to ensure we had all the facts before making a decision.
Unfortunately, during judging, Agria, who had been invited to judge the Best Decorated Pen competition, were provided with incorrect information regarding the competition criteria. This resulted in the disqualification of an exhibition pen from judging.
We appreciate that this situation is disappointing and frustrating for those involved. We have learnt from our mistakes here and will ensure that the appropriate measures are in place so this doesn’t happen again. We wish our sincerest apologies to everyone involved.
Following discussions with the exhibitor originally awarded first place, they have very kindly and graciously chosen to step down from the winning position in recognition of the circumstances. We are extremely grateful for their understanding and sportsmanship throughout this process.
As a result, we are pleased to confirm that the pen EX1 has now been awarded first place in the competition.
In recognition of the original judging outcome, and with appreciation for the understanding shown by all involved, all other placings will remain honoured as announced. In addition, an extra second-place position will be awarded to the exhibitor who originally received first place on the day.
We hope you understand the reasoning behind this decision and appreciate the gesture made to acknowledge all parties fairly following an unfortunate series of errors.
Thank you again for your understanding, and for helping make the Supreme Cat Show such a creative and enjoyable event.
