Launching in 2024, the Stud Book service has been created with our principal aims in mind. It is a free, easy-to-use platform for GCCF breeders to locate GCCF registered studs that are available for mating services.
We aim to reduce the concerns that come with using third-party websites to find a suitable male for your breeding lines, and bring peace of mind that the stud you select is guaranteed to be GCCF registered, on the Active Register, and already has a Certificate of Entirety submitted to, and accepted by, the GCCF.
To maintain the quality and integrity of our service, stud owners and their cats must meet and adhere to our criteria at all times. Please ensure that you have read our criteria prior to using our Stud Book service to prevent disappointment. Owners who have applied to advertise on our Stud Book have undertaken our application process and have been required to submit information regarding vaccinations, test results, testicle examinations and details of their studs. You can locate our Stud Book criteria on the right-hand side of this page.
The GCCF was established as an independent body in 1910, with the health and welfare of cats being at the heart of everything we do. Our principal aim is to encourage responsible breeding of pedigree cats and responsible owning of all cats, pedigree or otherwise.
Stud Book Listings
The window for Stud Book applications will run from 1st September through to 31st December annually and once listed, each advert will be posted for a year (1st January to 31st December) prior to requiring renewal. Stud owners may have multiple adverts at any given time, providing that they apply for them within the above-mentioned listing window.
We advise anyone using this service to liaise with stud owners to build a rapport prior to taking your queen to them. Whilst we can guarantee that they are GCCF registered owners, the GCCF does not accept responsibility for the way that individual stud owners conduct their services. Our service is designed to put you in touch with stud owners, the rest is up to you!
